Furniture, decor, and amenities (e.g., elevators, HVAC systems) appear worn and in need of modernization. This detracts from the overall comfort and ambiance. 2. **Cleanliness Concerns:** The room did not meet basic cleanliness standards. Dusty surfaces, stained upholstery, and an inconsistently maintained bathroom left me questioning the housekeeping protocols. 3. **Window Leak & Safety Issues:** A significant problem was the window in my room, which leaked water from outside during window cleaning. • Cypresshigh (10/5): Friendly staff and well equipped gym - I stayed for one weekend in the Crowne Plaza Wuxi Taihu and would come again. The full staff (for example the team around Fanny and her colleagues) was extraordinary friendly and helpful and the gym (external company) was very well equipped. The equipment of the hotel itself is solid Crowne Plaza standard, but the view from the 35th+ floor can be quite good. The breakfast buffet has also a selection for Western taste.

• ronc33 (10/5): Stayed for 7 nights at a business meeting. Hotel executed well, no problems - We had a business meeting with about 400 attendees 3-4 nights. Everything went well for the meetings, hotel restaurants served everyone quickly at lunch so we stayed on schedule. We had a group dinner one night that was executed well. One item was there was a wedding, it seems the hotel specializes in weddings, on Saturday so we had a smaller meeting room. In Wuxi weddings are popular during lunch so avoid the weekends if you have a big meeting.

• ShinnJong (10/5): Really Friendly and Care Staff at Executive Lounge - This is my first visit to the hotel and use of the Executive Lounge. Spend the whole weekend at the lounge due to rains and the staff was excellent in taking care of me. The food was great for the dinner as well and the selection is great. The staff (Wendy) went all the way out to prepare something extra for my friend due to diet restrictions. Great job, Wendy and manh thanks. The lounge itself is very spacious and it has a great view of the Taihu Lake. Additionally, I would like to thanks Malady and Tracy as well for taking care of me over the rainy weekend.
• chanparmar (8/5): Very Nice - Hoel is perfect location for me as the office I had to visit is opposite. Views are excellent as the lake can be seen. Breakfast is very limited for vegans and vegetarians. Not worth it at all. Gym is the best gym you will ever find as it purpose built for outside members also. You can spend the whole day at the gym. Wifi terrible as it looses connection and also have to log in all the time. Otherwise nice place.

• davidjJ578JD (10/5): Very comfortable - I stayed here a couple of nights on business. I really enjoyed the room, it was very spacious and very comfortable. Make sure you use the blackout curtains properly because there are flashing lights on the outside of the hotel and if you leave a gap they can illuminate the room while you're trying to sleep. The breakfast buffet was really nice. I really recommend the Chinese breakfast because the quality of the Chinese breakfast was much higher than the Western style breakfast buffet. Special mention to the station where they cook up the fresh egg pancake that you can see in my attached photo. Delicious. Unfortunately I didn't get time to see any of the other facilities in the hotel. But it is conveniently located, maybe 25 minutes to the airport. And 10 minutes to get downtown to some shopping malls. The Wi-Fi was good, fast and free. And best of all there was not a hint of cigarette smoke while I was there.

• FlyingDutchMan90 (10/5): Worth more than the lousy 3.5 stars it has now! - Nice hotel with quiet location. Easy to reach the old cultural district with the cannels. The lake is not too far. Breakfast is basic but has everything you require. Only downside is that the staff speaks little of English. I took me a while to find someone who could understand that I wanted Cereals and a Yoghurt Spoon. The Lady Manager of the Breakfast restaurant assisted me very well. Would come back!
• EBShanghai (8/5): Good view, good room, watch out for the chef - We went to Wuxi for the mid-Autumn festival and it was a pleasant surprise. We got two rooms, one with a view and one without, but when we checked in we realized the one without was pretty comparable in the amount of lake you could see. The swimming pool was nice, including the kiddie pool that my daughter enjoyed. The staff made great recommendations for attractions to see given the amount of travel time and the rainy weather. I've long been a fan of Crowne Plaza breakfast and this one had plentiful food. The only discouraging moment was when the omelet chef, who despite being told in Chinese not to add mushrooms, still did. Fortunately my partner (who is severely allergic to mushrooms) noticed this before she ate any. Other than that, the stay was great.

Really delicious breakfast, I am picky about it but there was everything, cheese, good fruit, good fresh juice, chinese,western, all type of stuff. The bed was really comfortable, not a chinese bed at all... be careful if you are taller than 1.80, the bed might too short. Nothing to complain about except the neighboor... not much around, some good food if you speak chinese if not, only hotel's restaurant. Starbucks is just downstairs, the hotel sells some bread and wine for not an expensive price ( 100RMb for white wine) Close to the lake, around 2km , 30-40RMB to go to the train station. I dont know others hotels in Wuxi but this one was pleasant, Iwould definitely recommend it.

• LevAgus (8/5): Good hotel in Wuxi - I stayed there for one night but I have been here twice. The room was very neat and spacious. They have three buildings. I was at building three and it is a bit far from the main lobby. Everything else was excellent, the service, food and location. They have a fitnes centre and indoor pool. They also have information in the room if you want to jog outdoors. They have a map for the possible you route you might want to take. It's a good hotel and would definitely be back again.

• kaspiraitus11 (4/5): Need to be recalibrated about what their customers need - I usually stay elsewhere in Wuxi, but was allocated this hotel by our corporate agent due to last minute arrangements. First off the good stuff; - the hotel is very new and the room I stayed in was very good, with great facilities. - the cleanliness of the hotel was excellent. - the laundry service is very efficient. - good breakfast choice. - the pizza in the Italian restaurant is some of the best I have had outside Italy. Although there is better to be had in Wuxi (Mammamia Pizzeria behind the Nikko). The not so good; - There is nothing (and I do mean NOTHING) in the local vicinity in the way of restaurants, shops, bars etc.. So you are a captive audience. - The buffet restaurant in the evening caters for Chinese/Japanese tastes first and foremost. The claim of "all sorts of creative cuisines ranging from Western, Italian" is stretching the truth somewhat. There were around 3 to 4 dishes covering this when I visited. And with Chinese delicacies such as Bullfrog, hairy crab, and "Fungus" on the menu, the less adventurous will struggle. The downright unforgivable; - I had to request that the mini bar be filled (it was completely empty on my arrival) and then it subsequently was not refilled. - The ATM did not accept any of the cards I had, which meant that getting RMB's was impossible. - The claim that the hotel makes of exchanging currency is a lie. I tried this and had to suffer the embarrassment of having 2 front desk staff holding the notes up to the light in full view of the entire reception area, before they shared a joke between themselves, then telling me they could not accept them due to a tiny black mark on one of the £20 notes. I would never consider staying here again. The hotel management do not appreciate what customers need. Furthermore, I work for a very large Global company with manufacturing facilities in Wuxi, and will be recommending that this hotel is removed from the list of approved hotels.
• rkempt (8/5): Great hotel in Wuxi - Great hotel overlooking Lake Taihu in Wuxi- be sure to get a room facing the lake. Excellent Italian restaurant with thin, crispy, delicious pizza. Good service. Big rooms and bathrooms. Amazing variety in the breakfast buffet.
• chinapolarbear (8/5): Great place for families with Kids. - It's a very nice place to stay in. We got a room that has a view of the Lake and it was very beautiful. The only complaint we had was that the room air-conditioning was not cold enough. The conference rooms were too cold but the rooms itself was too hot. It was only on FAN. Even after setting it to blow cold air, it's still a bit warm (24C was the coldest temp that we got in the room). Swimming pool is nice and clean, a great place to hang out with your friends while swimming as well. The "jacuzzi" Hot pool, was not hot enough, it's supposed to be 38C but does not feel that hot.
• Charron (10/5): New hotel with spacial and comfortable room. Excellent service! Not a crowded area, no traffic jam. - Crowne Plaza Wuxi Taihu is not located in a busy area, so we do not have to suffer from traffic jam. I quite enjoy the peace around it. And it is near to the famous sightseeing attraction, also the top 1 spot in Wuxi - Turtle-Head Peninsula Scenic Area. The other twin building for business is right next to the hotel, in which there is a Starbucks. If your room booking does not include breakfast, going to Starbucks will be a good choice (actually I did so every morning). The room is highly comfortable! The Taihu Lake can be seen right from the room windows! It is a pity that the air gets polluted in Wuxi, so the entire scenery is grey and unclear. The bed is large and soft. Inductor is set in the light of the washroom. Loudspeakers connected to the TV are set in the washroom too, which allows the guests to enjoy the TV programs when taking a shower. The initial music when the TV is on sounds beautiful and peaceful. The design concepts from the hotel owner and the designers are well reflected from many details. I went to its restaurant during my stay. The staff there were enthusiastic. The only flaw happened on the other day that the staff from House-keeping Dept still entered to clean my room, even I hung the "Do Not Disturb" note. I complaint to the Reception when I came back. They said sorry to me and promised to re-train their colleagues and improve the service. In fact, in most cases, it is not your mistakes but your attitude and actions after making a mistake really count. In sum, Crowne Plaza Wuxi Taihu is an excellent hotel. I will definitely strongly recommend it to my friends who come to Wuxi afterwards.
