- juliet993 (10/5): This Hotel soothes your soul, if you like fresh air and green tea fragrance - If you visit Hangzhou and don't stay at this hotel, you will miss a great experience of luxury, comfort, and relaxation. It is located next to a famous mountain where you can do some moderate hiking. If you love green tea's fragrance, you will smell a lot of it because the resort is located in the middle of a green tea field. There are shuttles that will take you from restaurant to room. And the air in the morning just rushes into your nostrils and does the breathing for you. It is really that easy. My only regret is I only stayed one day, which is all I could fit in. But I wont miss the opportunity to be in one of the most heavenly resorts in Hangzhou next time I go. The hotel is a reason why people love to go to Hangzhou and why emperors and officials chose to go to Hangzhou for rest and relaxation from the busy Shanghai. The room is spacious and actually even more glamorous than the pictures show. And provide top class amenities.

- 309arthurc (8/5): Perfect location for crasy hikiers - The hotel is at the perfect location of visiting 九溪煙樹，龍井村，雲棲竹徑 etc. Escaping from the CBD and high branding super malls, my wife and I can hideaway from our usual business and difficult people. The sauna facilities is relatively small. Although there is only one restaurant and bar are available with limited choice of food, the 農家菜 at the nearby hiking sites would be served as a compliment. The food served from 農家菜 are simple but fresh and tasty which is super for recovery after your hiking journey. Special thanks to the hotel manager Mr 康 who provided detailed guidance and tips for us in picking up our routings to 九溪煙樹，龍井村，雲棲竹徑. His sincerely and patients certainly are assets to the hotel management. Thank Mr 康 again for his help in sorting out our land delivery to airport when we journey home.
- 613martinl (8/5): Wonderful getaway from the city - Booked into this charming hotel to experience the mountain atmosphere and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel and amenities. The trip up the mountain was pleasant, a drive thru the city cutting thru the outskirts of town. Getting a taxi to the resort was tough and it was equally challenging hailing a cab on the return leg from the hotel to town on account of the luggage we were lugging along for a party of 5. Room wise, there were no complaints. Everyone was happy with the deluxe rooms with its well appointed bathroom and comfortable bed. The wonderful thing about the hotel was it’s resort setting, close proximity to nature and the opportunity it gave for exploration and hiking. Hotel staff were well trained, courteous and service oriented. In terms of facilities, the hotel has a nice gym and a nice heated pool in the basement located in the main building where the reception is. As most of the hotel rooms are sprawled over a couple of buildings, this meant that you had to arrange for a buggy to deposit you at the main building in order to access the gym and swimming pool. It’s not difficult; there is always a hotel staff stationed around the building area to assist. Food wise, we did not have the opportunity to indulge in the hotel’s recommended Chinese restaurant - Ten Creek. Hence, we cannot comment if it was as good as described by the hotel staff. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the nature walk from the hotel to the 9 creeks. The route ran thru the back of the hotel and you have to bring your room card key to access the exit gate which goes thru a tea plantation on a paved road where we were challenged from time to time by vehicles going up and down the trail. It was a really pleasant and luxurious stay which we all enjoyed. We also had the chance to purchase tea from various plantations and enjoyed local food in the tea houses.

I happened to be in town for business along with colleagues so I didn't get to enjoy all the amenities that the hotel offered (like the indoor pool) but it was a relaxing place to be at the end of very busy days and a great spot to enjoy time off.

- RuddMM (8/5): Gorgeous, Romantic, Scenic. - I've written full details of each comment below, but I want to summarize up hear for those pressed for time:This hotel has gorgeous, fragrant grounds with winding romantic paths, is adjacent to a picturesque tea plantation, has super luxurious rooms which have been planned in meticulous detail for convenience and comfort, and is quiet and peaceful - perfect for a romantic getaway. Definitely stay here! That said, it's out of the way (good thing) but has appalling and extremely limited dining options (bad thing), which is frustrating when you just want to chill out and not wait on taxis/traffic/non-english speaking delivery men to get a decent meal. If you want to eat well, plan to spend a good chunk of time and money on cabs/rental cars. The good and the bad, in detail: Let me put the one bad thing upfront, and then move on to all that was amazing. The only disappointment here were the lack of care and attention given to food/beverage provisions for guests at this out-of-the-way resort. I would stress that this shouldn't necessarily deter people from staying, but I do want to describe it in detail here to hopefully encourage the management to take action. It's a bit bizarre for so nice a hotel to have such pitiful dining and beverage accommodations. Details: My partner and I came for a romantic week getaway. We've been to Hangzhou before and had no interest in more tourist sites, and chose this hotel so we could basically wallow in luxury for several days. The hotel grounds are well out of the way of the city, which we wanted. We planned on ordering room service in between longs walks among the pine trees and long baths overlooking the scenery off the spacious balcony. The room service menu was short (8 items, 4 chinese, 4 "western") and dull to begin with. Then, when we ordered, they were out of almost all the western food items and the more palatable Chinese items (really basic stuff, hamburger, spaghetti, noodles). We'd order, hang up, get a call back with a simple "we're out of X too." It felt like staying at Hotel Apocalypse: the staff seem genuinely surprised at our surprise that so many items were not available. What had happened to all their food delivery trucks? But the quality was even worse than the availability: Once, we finally managed to order some pasta: what arrived was truly so bad, so unpalatable that I called in to send it back and ask for a replacement. The staff had to debate it for a long time before confirming that they "could" replace the dish. As a former worker in food service industry, I almost never send food back; it was that truly inedible. Once it was clear that room service wasn't an option, my partner and I decided we could just take scenic walks to the restaurant up in the main building for meals that aren't out on the town. However, their on-site restaurant was dramatically out of step with the luxurious atmosphere the hotel and grounds. It was like walking into a sad, neglected Denny's, or a badly managed O'Charlys. For non-Americans, it was like a high-end hotel having only a hospital cafeteria from which to serve all guests, for all meals. The food was rubbery and inedible (and like room service, they were out of several dishes, Chinese and Western), the decor depressing, the staff absent, the lights florescent, and the dining room empty. I got ill after a dish that contained seafood. The breakfast buffet was incomplete and stale, and provided only one large carafe of coffee for the whole dining room which, once emptied, was never refilled; you only got coffee if you showed up in the first hour or two of service (not something likely to happen with two people intent on a relaxing, lazy vacation). In the end, we often had to wait up to 20 minutes (and spend quite a bit of RMB) for taxis to arrive at the hotel to take us on a lengthy, traffic-heavy drive into Hangzhou for meals we would much rather have had in privacy and comfort. We would have paid a significantly marked up price to simply eat well with less effort at the hotel. On to the amazing: I can't say enough about the amazing room itself, or the grounds. The rooms had clearly been designed by someone who understood the needs and desires of those staying in hotels. The bathroom was warmly lit with an enormous tub, and had separate stalls for the toilet and shower that were tucked well back into private alcoves. It had benches, footstools and other little conveniences parked everywhere around the double sinks. The tub sat under and enormous plate glass window overlooking a balcony made private by dense foliage, trees, and hills. The balcony itself had a comfy, private couch tucked into an alcove. The beds were perfect and the mattress was the more western-styled soft kind (memory foam?). A small kitchenette and chifforobe were cordoned off from the main bedroom by elegant screens which diffused light everywhere. I've lived in China for many years, and have never, ever seen grounds so pristine. The air smelled fresh and there were flowers with heavy scents everywhere,along with fountains. It was really lovely to gaze out at a neighboring tea farm, where work was underway. Winding, private paths and little decks with porch swings meandered between all the hotel buildings and wooded areas. And there was a convenient golf shuttle that seemed to arrive to take you to whatever building you wanted as soon as you stepped outside. All in all, definitely come here for your romantic weekend! But bring your own food and drink, and have the taxi/ride sharing app (didi) already installed on your phone.
- StenleyS_13 (10/5): Millennium Resort in Hangzhou China - My friends and I stay in the Millennium Resort for two nights, in Oct. 2017. I’ll say that it is an excellent resort; why? The first, it located in nine streams area surrounds by tea farm, over 3.4 acre lot area, full with fresh air and clear water; plus swimmy poor and spa. It is really a healthy relax resort. The second, rooms are big and bright; its size over 600 sqf. or bigger, with balcony. All equipments work perfect.. And The West Lake is only 4.5 mils away; and also easy to go to the other visit points. Hangzhou is an attractive city, and the Millennium resort makes us even more like to visit it again.
- DarrenCY (4/5): Unpleasant and disappointed experience - My friends and I are currently staying in this hotel for New Year celebration and we were thrilled that the service provided by the buffet dinner tonight 12/31/2017 was terribly not met the standard of a five star hotel. We saw the campaign of buffet dinner for in-house guest tonight and my friends made the reservation to secure the table from front desk. At 18:30, we approached to the buffet, but were informed that all the seats were taken and they have implemented extra table from catering outside the restaurant which feels like a night market but not a five star resort. We can understand the hotel trying to run up higher revenue in this special event, but guest experience should be the priority and I believe the hotel did nothing but only for the profits. It’s funny that the “Manager” from the buffet called Jack Li did not provide any thoughtful solution and as I’m also working in a five star hotel, I have no idea how you company trained the staff to become a manager. In addition, we requested for extra bottles of water and mat for the shower room because the silica gel was not functioning well to stop shower water split out. The call was made around 16:30, now it’s 19:17, we have not received anything yet. I understand we put the do not disturb sign, but there should be a call at least for us to open the door if the standard are not allowing the staff to enter the room. Anyways, very unpleasant and definitely not recommending this hotel. Cheers
- WinstonT_12 (10/5): Winter in Hangzhou - The staff were very attentive and helpful, and had taken the extra mile to assist us with the room arrangements that enables us to have a wonderful stay at the hotel. We arrived very late, after midnight but the staff were there waiting for us to help with speedy checkin. Also, special thks to miss Taylor for making the prior arrangements and assistance with our booking and hotel transport. .
- 443billt (8/5): Great, peaceful location - I live in Shanghai so the tranquil location of this hotel was the biggest draw. After checking in we had a nice 2 hour walk in the nearby forest. I found the service to be sufficient but nothing above average. The reception staff during checkin & checkout were serious, polite but not really warm or friendly. They did not offer any extra information or promote any of their facilities. The room was very spacious & comfortable. We tried their indoor pool in the evening around 6pm. The water was clean with the area well maintained. Unfortunately, the sauna wasn't switched on. The buffet breakfast was fine with a range of Chinese & western dishes. I would return if I needed another weekend getaway.
- LuUrs (8/5): Very good experience - My boyfriend and I spent three days there, we had very relaxed time, nothing to complain. It's in the middle of the famous West Lake tea villages, you could easily walk to Long Jing village and enjoy quiet time (yes, you will need to turn into a side road instead of walking on the main road). The bath room is the part that my boy friend enjoys most, good shower, large space. The only thing he finds it could be improved is the restaurant - he wishes variety of the foods could change a bit, which I find it's ok for me. The actual hotel room looks better than most of the photos in the review. I don't think you need to worry about having a bad room. In one word, we will go back to this hotel in the future and have relaxed weekends off after working hard in Shanghai. Good value for money.

- 37stanislasm (10/5): Great welcome - I came here only tu use the swimming pool (total lack of SP in Hangzhou) with a friend. Since the entry fee is rather expensive, the front office manager, Mr Kai Wang, let us go inside for free! The place is quite alright, very clean, hammam, sauna, sport room, etc. And the crew is great!

- 471att (6/5): 4 stars hotel with 2 stars services - The place is nice. We were there for a business team meetings. Buildings and rooms are really good. It makes us feel in a luxurious place but the services and facilities could have been better to match the building level. - fitness only open at 9am and even you ask to open the room the day before you will still have to ask on the day you want to go to gym. - not a lot of choices for the dinner but the food was excellent - bar is really poor and sad - breakfasts and Buffet lunches are average

Very inside of the forest area away from main road.Recommend to stay here if you have transport.Taxi do available and resort will call for you.Took many taxi and most of them never been to this resort before and has to open GPS to guide them in. The lobby is very grand.Fast respond from the staff and smooth check in. There are two building in this resort.If you stay at the north wing.It will be on the other end of the resort.But the resort provide buggy to and back to the main building. North wing is 3 story.Room comes with a big bed and balcony and the washroom is very big.Bathtub overview the green forest.Room is clean with daily housekeeping. The resort breakfast is normal. The resort surrounding is very quiet and its a good place to stay if you want to relax and stay away from the busy city.Surrounding the resort are tea plantation.You can walk around the resort in the evening as Its quite relax and cooling. one bad thing about the resort is that the room wall is very thin.we could hear the talking ,conversation and movement from the corridor and also from the next door room.Taxi also do not know the way to this resort Do have your dinner or get your food before coming back to the resort as there are no food to buy at late night in the surrounding,But the hotel do has room service.But the food was not that nice. overall its quite a good stay with different experience.

- Asianexpert (8/5): In the middle of Hangzhou's beautiful Tea Gardens... - Location: If want to get away from the hustle and bustle of China's Megacities, this place is the right choice. It's just 50 meters walk from the lobby into the tea gardens/fields where you can walk for kilometers through nice hills and across mountains. Just wonderful walks and also great scenery. We were there end of March, the tea picking season just started and the ladies picking the tea were quite nice and interested in the visitors - if you don't keep them away from their work for too long. To Hangzhou city center you will need a cab though, depending on traffic it can take anyhwere between 20 - 45 minutes. To the Eastern railway station it took us nearly an hour in the late afternoon. Hotel Facility: The hotel is more catering to Chinese Guests and groups, so don't expect any thrills of an International 5-star hotel here. Nevertheless, the room was very clean, it had a nice balcony to sit outside and listen to the birds in the little forest. The lobby is a bit over-dimensioned, the meeting room facilities are nice (with windows, not only dark ball rooms). Restaurants: The main restaurant serves mainly Chinese food, the breakfast is ok, nothing special though. You have to ask for cappuchino or espresso - most guests seem to drink tea. The lobby bar, which is basically serving drinks to any place in the lobby and really is not a real bar, closes at 11 pm, that's maybe a bit early if you are there with colleagues and want to have a late evening drink together. Service: Always attentive, service was nice and tried to help in whatever way they could. Overall, a very good stay - as we took also the time to explore the immediate neighbourhood for hiking & walks.
- AllisonSS (8/5): Quiet, tranquil location, but hard to get cabs so you may want to use Uber - Located in the west side of the lake, need to rely on cabs or Uber if you want to travel anywhere. It has a big compound. We enjoyed walking through the tea plantations. Service was good and staffs readily responded to our requests.
- global845 (8/5): Good, but in danger of becoming less international - The good, i really enjoy the location is in the hills around West Lake. The hotel is away from busy Hangzhou city, great for a leisure weekend. Nice hiking trails nearby, and i prefer the farmhouse food options to the city's poor commercial restaurants. Beautiful tea plantation surrounds the hotel, and rooms nicely decorated. Unfortunately, cleanliness standards seem to be falling. The first two rooms allocated to me had an unbearable smoke smell. Hotel did not clean the air before passing to us. Hotel wiring is also a disappointment, as the building is unable to give guests an option of heating or A/C. Since Chinese guests tend to fear cold, the hotel shuts down the A/C system in the autumn. Any customers who feel hot or do not like humid air are in trouble, the hotel does not have any A/C in the autumn.

There are trails between the tea plantations ..great experince. The electric bikes are great to go upbthe hills and visit the villages. For running and jogging is so great, do it!
- Verified traveler (6/5): 无惊无喜的一次入住 - 2014年开业之时 我就很想入住 主要是想试试千禧集团的酒店到底怎么样 加之是在九溪的酒店 正好也能九溪一路玩到上面的灵隐 上海自驾前往，开了大约2个多小时，杭州城的路真的很难开到处都是堵车。主干道进去后 人车就要合一了 开的满艰难 索性也不难找，大logo直挺挺的在入口。 经过指导把车停好后 办理check in 当时中午12点半左右 但是抵达前台的第一句话迎来的不是 很高兴欢迎你，不是 欢迎入住千禧。第一句话居然是 现在房间不一定有 如果没有的话麻烦你要等一下。连我入住什么房间都没看就开始预防针乱打 瞬间我感觉我只是来住酒店的 而不是度假的。 交了身份证 查询后告知有房间的 可以立即入住。 点评下几个我认为需要关注的点吧：- #位置#酒店位置不属于市中心，但是出入西湖景区的南边还是比较讨巧的。推荐的是自驾游。这次入住南临，就在前台，餐厅，健身房一栋楼里，体会到了便捷，但是少一份安静。但总体来说是静怡的。往北面可以去灵隐那边 餐厅很多。 #房间本身#给我的这间布局和我看到的一些房间格局不同，不免有些些失望，感觉还是自己在住商务酒店。 #洗手间#干湿分离做得很好，但是浴品很一般，量也属于偏少的。梳子好比经济型酒店的。吐槽 洗手台的笼头，采购的很失败，用的人应该能体会。 浴缸已经劣迹斑斑，不知道怎么保养得这么差，大家都是带着刀子泡澡的吗？ #床品# 住过几家 觉得这家可以排名靠前，被子透气，床垫软硬适中。晚上的确是睡了一个好觉！ #写字台# 很大 但是插座槽灰也积了不少 #阳台# 沙发的垫子已经不忍心坐上去了。这也是所有露天阳台或者露台沙发所面临的挑战吧，这个阳台鸡肋了点。 #电视机# 小！遥控器反应迟钝。 #早餐# 基本还是能保持环境上的清净，品种也是繁多，惊喜有鲜榨果汁。但是现煮小馄饨全部黏在一块什么意思？忍心端给顾客吗？ 总体来说，这是一家没有体会到享受，也不会再来住的酒店。 这一次体验也是稍许失望了点。

- YONG (6/5): 差强人意的入住体验，难以匹配周边的美景 - 来之前就很向往著名的九溪烟树景区，觉得坐落在此间的酒店一定会很棒，但是事实上也许是我的期望值过高了。我们定的是南林阁的套房，结果刚进房间就能听到隔壁小宝宝很清晰的哭声，隔壁的年轻父母说话的声音也很清楚，真的很难想象这是一个接近2000元一晚的酒店的隔音效果，我们要求换房，酒店帮我们换到了另一边的角落里，房型是很奇葩的三角形，而且隔音还是一如既往的差，我们也无力再换了。除了隔音的问题，房间的卫生打扫也很堪忧，第一个房间是很久没人住过的霉味，第二个房间床单没有换过，上面有好几根头发，哦对了，两个房间的台盆下水都有问题，弹不起来。总体而言，酒店确实坐落在一个非常优美的自然环境里，而她的服务和硬件实在难以匹配这个环境。
