Guest Reviews
- CastleViewApartments (2/5): Never more - This hotel was one of the biggest mistakes made in my travel. I've never seen such neglected and dirty rooms. I would not even describe the towels. the so-called breakfast is served at the reception and you must buy a drink. The staff at the front desk barely spoke English. I do not recommend this hotel in any way.
- timrF7435DQ (6/5): Value, but basic - We have a large room, but the only window is a small thing in the bathroom.
A big TV,sitcom, fridge, kettle etc,and the position is 9k,with lots of food and shop options locally.
It was quite easy to find on the junction of 2 streets, the Reception staff struggled on arrival with English, but all was well.
- Honey (8/5): - 가격이 저렴하고, 호텔 주변에 택시가 많이 다닌다. 하지만, 역과의 거리가 멀고 길이 너무 어둡다.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - หลอดไฟในห้องติดไม่ครบ รีโหมดแอร์ปรับไม่ได้ ผ้าเช็ดตัวเก่า
- Extraordinary374179 (8/5): Happy and not happy !! - Happy because our stay in Thailand make us comfortable and the staff in the counter named jeet helped us a lot and made us feel free and safe on our stay in the hotel and unhappy because in the morning the girl receptionist can't understand simple command and so very rude to us all in all we like our stay in H2 Hotel. Thanks jeet see you soon. Ur so very nice to us and you deserve any higher position soon. Good luck your journey Jeet🤗🤗🤗
- Emad (6/5): Bad service by hotel.com - I have already paid for the
My booking before 6 or 7 days but wasn't confirmed by hotel.com and the hotel was full before I even was trying to check in.i had
to go to another hotel for 3 nights.
Plz make an online chat
- Kasapak (6/5): - ทางเข้าเล็ก ที่จอดรถน้อย
- Jens (6/5): Not great, but cheap. No better than 2-star. - It’s just a place. But for $20 or so, not expected much. Sad and tired if you’re comparing. Just a cube with a bed,.permanently no cable tv, if you’re into that sort of thing. Toilet seat with broken hinge, etc.
- M (2/5): - Person at reception chewing gum and only gave a head gesture as an invitation to speak to him on my arrival.
Room dirty particularly the floor, some lights not working and most fitments hanging off wall. Noisy teenagers hanging around foyer and stairs.
Paid double the rate indicated at hotel.
- Giomanzano (6/5): Medium quality for nice price. - The place is very difficult to be finded. If you wanna go to Myanmar embassy is very recommended. Far away from sightplaces.
The breakfast is asian style and quite big.
The place is clean.
Attention is the last thing here. Im still looking for it....
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Kein Fernsehen und kein WLAN. Beides funktionierte nicht.
- Verified traveler (8/5): H2 Hotel - Have stay here few times before but the facilities & Cleanliness was slipped. Looking for improvement.
- Ang (8/5): Just Ok Room - Staff was friendly, the cleanliness need to improve. There no wifi in room.
- AshnarBeast (4/5): very poor - very cheap place to stay if you don't wanna waste money there was nothing good about the hotel but the Maids. very kind , nice and supportive. but in the overal not good at all... i don't recomend it to anyone
- Garry (6/5): H2 - Needs a little TLC. I have stayed before and condition has slipped. WiFi was a nightmare
- UbonJames (2/5): Just another scam hotel - windowless room "upgrade" - Yet another boutique hotel in Bangkok that scams you with the windowless room trick.
Booked a room for 3, when we arrived we got the usual "ah sir we upgraded you"....
Same as every time, the room is a couple of square meter bigger, so it is classed as an upgrade.... But no windows.
So if you like living in a matchbox for the evening, that hotel would be wonderful for you.
However, if you prefer daylight and not having to use a 24 hour clock, then book a better hotel with better staff.
You have to accept the "upgraded" inferior room because it is at the hotels discretion...
Scam! Welcome to Bangkok!
- aljohnl256 (8/5): Bangkok Leisure Trip - Me and my friend flew to Thailand for a week long vacation. We decided to book a room in H2 Hotel Sathorn. Though the hotel is small as well as the room, it wasn't really a problem because we are always out of the hotel for tours. The staff is helpful although they really can't speak English that well and we needed to use google translator. Despite that, they are doing their best to help us with anything that we need from them. Breakfast offered in the hotel is also good too.
- Birriman (6/5): Ok for one night, do not go with family - Be careful booking here, make sure this place meeting with your needs. We had a deluxe room without any windows! Only the toilet/bathroom got a tiny one but nothing in the actual room. Breakfast was same every day, you may not eat yourself full there after few days. Staff was friendly, they made up the room nicely everyday. Next time we go to Thailand definitely not going back there. It is good for a night, local shops, street food, massage, restaurants around but you probably could find better options for the price.
- Charleston (8/5): Quiet hotel but no room wifi. - Hotel was good, quiet surroundings, good food around the area. However the lobby has a weird smell. Needs to be cleaned up.
Hotel wifi only available in the lobby.
If need to go bts, normally would take a motorbike or cab. Very near siam shopping center.
- salim (8/5): bangkok h2 - genel anlamda işimi gördü fakat nedense taksiler bu oteli bulmakta zorluk çekiyor yinede tavsiye ediyorum gönül rahatlığı ile kalabilirsiniz
- Kyle (2/5): Never stay again - When I arrived knowone wanted to help with my suitcases, after they see me struggling they then decided to help me, we had 3 big suitcases one little suitcase and a car seat. I booked a grand dalux room, which I though would be big as the year knew it was me munch wife and my son (17 months) the room was small and I mean very small, I would stay here again. It had a red stain on the blanket cover it looked like blood to me.
- Jim (8/5): 還可以 - 整體soso 不過很便宜 co值也ok
- lalukerm (2/5): never seen worse than this - first thing is first do not book!its so sticky ı never seen any terrible than this hotel, they are not clean, nobody speaks english, hotel smell like thai food, broken doors, dirty washroom, breakfast is terrible basiclly u can find anything to eat...just be far away from this dirty place
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Noting to talk about
- lea (10/5): #loveit - Our 6 days stay at H2 Hotel was great . Very affordable and clean . I'm glad it was convinient going to shopping mall , restaurant and very close to so many street foods that good to try .
I'll definitely come back again at H2 Hotel....!!! I hope it will be soon.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Just ok. - Staff was very friendly, rooms was very clean and well presented, the equipment was terrible fridge was not working all my stay and in toilet roof lamp was hanging, hotel was too far from everything nothing is nearyby... In conclusion not satisfied with rooms.. but service wise very good.pp
- Felicia (8/5): No WIFI - The hotel was nice. My only complaint is that there was no WIFI in the rooms! That was really irritating and the last day the WIFI didn't even work in the lobby so I could not plan my route before I left.
- Federico (2/5): - No vale la pena el hotel para nada, es tirar el dinero
- JS (4/5): Budget Hotel In Chinese Community - We checked into the hotel in the late afternoon and will given a deluxe room instead of grand deluxe which we paid for through Expedia. The room was so hot that even with aircon on full swing does not help especially the wall inside the toilet that are facing the afternoon heat.
when we come to realise we are given deluxe room, we are told that there is no grand deluxe room available and they can only change our room the next day. Next day we are given a suite room which we, of course, more than happy. To our dismay, every afternoon when we return to room, we are always not given towels and complimentary bottles of drinking water. We kept reminding the duty manager (who also double as reception) but in vain.
Overall the staff are good but the rooms need renovation (everything falling apart). They need to throw away all their stained towels and replace with new.
- Sefare (8/5): OK hotel - Nice hotel, staff very helpful with directions and getting every thing sorted on our arrival. It was a bit tricky to find it in the first place but then it went ok. Temperature and aircon system was very good despite the heat outside.
- N (6/5): Good location unreliable internet - Great part of Bangkok if you want to be away from tourists. Good facilities, wifi was constantly dropping out.
- Richard (6/5): Nice little hotel - They need better channels on tv. No U.S. channels at all!
- Matty11611 (8/5): Ok for one night - Good location in the centre of bangkok and only ended up in here because i booked the heritage hotel for new year and somehow managed to be fully booked even though i had already booked!!!
upon arrive i was only offered a twin room as i had been diverted from another sister hotel, obviously not happy as i had booked a king double to pass out on however was only asked for 500 deposit rather than 1000 as i had been transfered.
Room was clean and had all basic amenities however no safe for passport etc. and my tap leaked but other than that, livable accomodation
- Jessica (10/5): - Great value, clean rooms, we would stay again
- 969jakep (2/5): This hotel chain does not honour reservations - We originally booked 3 double rooms at the Heritage Hotel, which was a perfect location and suited our needs. They advertised that they had rooms available on a number of websites, but we received a call advising that they were oversubscribed and offered us three double rooms at their sister hotel, H2, which was a considerable downgrade. We accepted, but they refused to offer any discount on the booking, knowing that it would be too late for us to find anywhere else for New Year's Eve. When we arrived, we were told that they only had 2 doubles and a single. Again, knowing it was too late to find a new hotel, they refused to offer any discount on the booking. I persevered for over half an hour until they finally agreed to upgrade me to another double room that they initially said was unavailable. We were told the rooms would be ready at 2pm, but we had to wait in the lobby until nearly 4pm while they cleaned the rooms. While we waited, a number of patrons arrived at the hotel who were in the same situation as us. When I finally got into the room, I was relatively happy, but there was a lingering smell that was not pleasant. It is obvious that this company deliberately oversubscribes on their popular hotel so that they can palm the excess customers off on their less successful 'sister hotels'. Do not take the risk, as there's a good chance you'll end up without a hotel.
- prof_liza (8/5): GOOD SERVICE - Communication was possible, despite language barrier. The room where we stayed are serviced everyday; valuables remained intact. Breakfast was served as early as 6AM for guests who have pre-booked tours. However, location is NOT good, as it is not within walkin distance from either Chong Nonsi or Surasak BTS Stations. Even local drivers - metered taxi, tuktuk, motorcycle taxi - cannot easily locate the hotel.
- 616erdene (6/5): Not good,Not bad. - I have been here with my sister. Our room was clean.Ther was a good climate system. The location of hotel is one of the bad side of this place. We went to patppong night bazaar for 15 minute with taxi it is okey but when we tried to come back it was a problem because noone can find this hotel even we have the location. We used tuk tuk for comeback and we deal for 100 baht but the driver couldnt find the hotel .The trip took 1 hour .
- Guice (2/5): - Hotel was okay for that budget, but their wifi can't be connected, after i told them they still did't do anything about it. some room i guess your mobile data doesn't work properly too. location problem.
- ilhamhere (8/5): Good hotel, great hospitality - H2 Hotel moved to corner street, and it is quite far from main road. However, there are many public transportations (including taxi, Uber, and GrabBike) available and easy to access from hotel. You will easily find 7-Eleven from main road to hotel. There are many streetfood opened nearby especially at the afternoon along way to main road.
It is clean and convenient hotel to stay with friends. To wander, skytrain is quite taking time to reac. If you are a real traveler, just go on foot from hotel to skytrain since it only takes 10-15 minutes.
- WONGSUWAN22 (6/5): Ok for stay. - I stayed here 13 November 2015 for 1 night.
If you gone with you own car, may had a problem with car park.
You must park at small road behind hotel.
Check-in so fast.
Room : normal room with sink and refrigerator, bed ok for slept. Free wifi and fast. Free water drinking bottle. I think ok for short stay
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good budget hotel - It was different from the picture I saw online. Rooms are very small. It can be best for a overnight stay not for longer duration.
- worldtrip030 (6/5): Better than a hostel - The hotel is at the end of sathorn soi 11 ,There's a UOB bank building at the main road before you enter the soi 11 about 500-700 meters from there the hotel is good if you just plan to pass a night or two with for a small budget , they are not professional hoteliers, it's just small building with room for the sake of it ,the room is clean ,fine , hot showers ,flat tv ,hair dryer, there s no cupboard if you opt for the. Lowest room rate ,
The let down here is the house keeping ,I found the blanket with some stain ,told them to change when making the room ,came back and nothing change ,the soap and shampoo not renewed in the bathroom ,
The room key doesn't work but they assist you to the room every time you need to open the door ,The room phone doesn't work , ,if they pay attention to some details and tries to improve ,I think this place is not so bad ,good for solo travelers, backpack or friends traveling toghhether on budget .
- THIANCHAI (6/5): Not good but not bad - Not good but not bad
No coffee , tea , cup , electric kettle
They had only 2 bottles and refrigerator.
- David (8/5): slightly off the beaten track, great valueservice - First up - apologies if this is a duplicate, my wifi crashed on send of 1st review.
Hotel is not in a tourist neighbourhood.
Awkward for taxi drivers to locate.
These instructions work as the google maps and Hotels.com maps are misleading:
Coming off Sathorn rd, turn into Soi 11. Go to the end junction, maybe 1klm, turn right, go 50meters to next junction, turn right again, travel another 50 meters and H2 hotel should be directly in front of you. Be sure to get a Hotel card from the desk to show to taxi drivers. Plenty of Taxis in the area.
The 40sq meter rooms for $25USD a night are a true bargain if you are comfortable being probably 1-2 klms from anything (including western friendly food options). No hotel breakfast options, but for me a 7-11 sandwich + coffee was fine. Recommended for those wanting to be in Sathorn area and want a big room for little $$. Not recommended for those first visit to Bangkok or the less adventured tourist.
Hotel is probably really 2.5 stars, but xtra clean, full size fridge, a 7-11 75 meters away and has 24-hour front desk. All I needed = yay.
- charleshA8607UC (10/5): Great deal - This is great hotel for the price. Its hidden on a quiet street but very close to the center of tourist area of Sathorn / Silom and in the street have nice real Thai food place very cheap and tasty. The room was modern and clean. The price so cheap.
- Alex (4/5): Far from central area - A good hotel with many local food stall surrounding it. But a bit far from the Central area.
- SugeyCortes (8/5): Nice Hote, a little far from attractions and complicated location. - Is a good hotel, however is far from attractions and it was very difficult to find the hotel, the taxi driver got really angy because he didn't know where was the hotel. The staff is friendly and the clean the room evey day.
- Nippybhatia (2/5): Bad Rooms - Firstly the Location of H2 Hotel is very hard to find. The rooms have no place for Luggage. They don't clean rooms at all even you stay there for 7 days. there was something spilled on the bed sheet just on the corner by us. They charged us 2000 THB just for the laundry service.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not bad but could be better. - Hotel is not were google map says. To find it, take Soi 11 off Sathorn, go the the very END of the street, turn right at the end, then make another immediate right.
Hotel is fairly new and modern. Rooms are clean and simple. I stayed twice and the first room had problem with hot water but second room was fine. Also first room had no safe but second one did have it??
Other reviews are funny calling the area ghetto. This is really nice area. This is real thailand not khao san road.
It's 15 min walk to Surasak BTS but there are taxis passing every 2 minutes.
My only complain it bed cover. It's TOO heavy. It would be good for Alaska but for Thailand, it's TOO hot. :)
Let me not forget to mention friendly front desk staff.
- jayeho (6/5): Average hotel with many local foods - Before check in, already informed by staff about china national will be coming and the noise they will be created... Hopefully hotel staff can do something about it instead just let others " bear with it" and also the smoking in their rooms affect others.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Internet access - Internet access is virtually impossible.
- Verified traveler (8/5): H2 Sathorn - small but comfortable room. good housekeeping. good air con. quiet location good for sleep but a fair walk to the main road won't suit everybody . plenty of taxis passing by.good area if you like street food.
- juan (6/5): Hostel not Hotel ! Small and faaaaaar faaaaar away - Actually it is a hostel not a hotel. Very small rooms. No electricity for half a day.
Not even a chair or table. Closet not exiisting.only a pole for three garments.
Lots of mosquitos. Terrible neighbourhood.for 1000 baht okay but very far from everything.like being in a ghetto. No one speaks english only the girl at thereception. Will definitel not return....
- lamberto b (4/5): No Internet connection most of the time - No Internet connection most of the time and staff does not speak english
- Alex (8/5): Good basic place to stay. - Hotel is quiet and clean. Mostly the room is quite new. There is no cupboards. Beds are as hard as rock. "View of city" is a glimpse of city next to concrete wall. Some wall plugs dont work. Great local eating places close by. Easy to get to skytrain by songtouw(pickup).
- Sam (6/5): Nice hotel, largely indifferent staff - Great hotel; very good value. Clean room, good shower. Staff were largely indifferent, but one was nice enough. I'd come here again for a good value, clean room.
- Minnie (4/5): Disappointing hotel - Receptionist was no smile and unhelpful.
No shower door/curtain.
Many small ants are on the floor.
- rene (8/5): Great budget hotel - Great nice hotel, located close to Surasat MRT station, one stop from Taksin staion, where all jetties are located. Staff are very friendly and helpful, hotel and room was very clean. There are minor cracks and blemishes in plasterwork in corridors , but nothing major. Served breakfast in nearby Heritage chain hotel, not worth it, nearby shops are better. Stayed 5 nights.
- Liam (6/5): Hard to find! Out of the way! - It was very hard to find, many taxi drivers do not know where it is. It also a bit out of the way but its in a quitter area if thats what you are looking for.
- Pierre (6/5): Don't juge a book by it's cover... - Bathroom not clean on my arrival.
Not even sure the bed sheets have been changed...
- Verified traveler (6/5): What can I say... - Overall, I was satisfied with the stay. The rooms were designed with really modern and minimalist design which I liked. The room was very clean as far as "dirt/filth" is considered, but there were some stains left from construction activities on some walls and recessed lighting trims. As far as the service goes, it felt like this hotel was for self-service fans. However, the bellhops and other cleaning crew was quite nice and helpful. Would I recommend H2 to someone? Maybe.
- gavin (6/5): Value for $ but..... - Not recommended for family with kids or light sleeper as the neigbor is a pub, open till 3 or 4am!! You even can hear the music from your room!!
My room is at 2nd floor, early in the morning you can hear the guest in the hotel checking out or going out ... They using the staircase...... So you have to sleep late & wake up early due to the noise!!
- Catherine (10/5): Best time in Bangkok Thailand - It was great staying in H2 hotel thanks for everything
- Jean-Hugues (8/5): good place - Good staff. very kind and helpfull. We had a disaster night not because of them but because of 50 chinese there were shouting in the all hotel !
- K (8/5): Reasonable and comfortable - Hotel was quite okay for the price.
Expedia provided me a wrong address, ended up going to wrong area, looking for a hotel on a taxi for long time.
- MK (10/5): New Hotel - This is a new hotel, very nice clean rooms with a good bed, free tea and coffee down stairs in the reception but friendly staff. There is a 7/11 2 minutes away and the area is a little out of the town centre but still close enough
