Guest Reviews

- Susanne Maria (9/5): - Tolles Zimmer. Personal wirklich sehr nett.

- Arnold (9/5): Good nd contented - ❤️❤️👏👏👍 More parking space
- Mike (9/5): Corong-Corong beach is amazing - Just a short walk to the Corong-Corong beach, path is in front of the stay. Really liked the sunsets and the beach here. Staff is friendly, it doesn't provide breakfast but you can easily found around. Room is clean, but didn't get cleaned in my 3 nights (which is fine). AC and bed are good as well. I can recommend this place.
You can book the El Nido A-D tours at the reception, i did A which was perfect.
- Joe (1/5): Disrespectful staff doing construction next to my room until 1:30 am. This property should be taken off of your site. -

- Rowena (6/5): - The location was fine, not in the main area of El Nido but a cheap tricycle ride away. Also enough restaurants directly around. Staff was very friendly to us. Our aircon stopped working 10 minutes after we checked in. The staff didn't seem very surprised it did. They tried calling an electrician but it was a holiday so we were told it wasn't possible. They offered us another room at a neighbouring accomodation but this didn't seem a lot better. They did give us an extra fan which helped a bit.

- Silvana (7/5): It was okay for one night - It was near where our boat trip office was. So very convenient. It was easy to find a pharmacy and food. It is really loud! You can hear the neighbours TV at top volume. So make sure you have earplugs.
When we left, the was a trail of poop (from shoes) from the 1st floor to the ground floor.
- Georgina (8/5): Clean and comfortable - Comfortable bed. Warm shower. Everything was very clean (the hallway always smelt of cleaning products, in a good way!) Coffee and tea was free and always available.
Location: corong corong beach much prettier and more relaxing end, but still easy reach to El Nido if you want. The lack of breakfast is no issue, lots of good places nearby. Communication, especially with front desk:
No one at desk for checkout, despite knowing our transfer pick up time. After ringing bell/ waiting 10 mins we ended up leaving key as van was waiting.
We got given the wrong room, they did refund it but didn't match the difference but overall were helpful on this.
Asked reception for transfer and was told only tricycles, even though when we found and contacted the whatsapp number on booking email (which said van transfers).
We then organised the van transfer fine through their own sister company so very confusing that reception didn't offer this.
Overall, communication a bit slow on booking.com and was all a bit faffy BUT this was not a major issue and when we did reach someone, they were extremely helpful (I recommend whatsapp rather than going through booking.com). I believe it was Arianne from sister company who I spoke with and she responded rapidly and exceedingly helpful, and even communicated with BH front desk so we didn't have to so overall came away with a positive experience despite some of the initial issues.
- Judit (7/5): - The room itself was a decent size and came with both a fan and a modern air conditioning unit. The bathroom was a little compact but functional. Water pressure was acceptable, although hot water was limited. The WiFi was poor during our stay.
The mattress is firm.
The hotel’s location on the main road is convenient for transport, and the beach is just across the road down a small alley. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and the main town is about a 30-minute walk or a very cheap trike ride away. In my opinion, the beach here is actually nicer than the one in town. Unfortunately, we were allocated a ground floor room right next to reception, the kitchen area, and the staff room. As a result, we had to ask staff to keep the noise down at night. Being located directly on the main road also means traffic noise is constant, and with the front door often left open, sound carries easily through the building.

- Tigran (8/5): -
- Ingrid (10/5): Parimaid hinna ja kvaliteedi suhtes. - Fantastiline Super koht!Kõik meeldis.
- Svitlana (10/5): - All was good
- Mundt (9/5): Gutes Stadthotel - Wir waren zwei Nächte dort.
- jean luc (8/5): -
- Daniel (5/5): - Location was good El Nido rip-off. I thought El Nido in general was very expensive and the people who I met on holiday agreed . Twin beach (north of El Nido)was expensive as well. The Philippines is no longer cheap as people think.
- David (10/5): -
- Brian (4/5): It's okay for a night or 2 - Location is good, good quality air-conditioning It's expensive for El Nido, no breakfast and hardly any hot water. You can find better accommodation for the same price with hot water, breakfast and a view. I was not impressed.
- AMIR (1/5): -
- Mehmet Lütfi (8/5): Konum iyi ama uyumak biraz sıkıntılı - Tesisin konumu iyiydi. Liman ile denize girdiğimiz Vanilla Beach’in tam ortasındaydı.
- Ronald (9/5): - Clean and comfortable private room with warm water and ecologically sustainable practices. Balcony with nice view. Excellent location near to many tour operators departure point. On main road, but not too noisy, with easy access to tricycles and bike rent. Walking distance to centre and other attractions. Many nice beach front restaurants within metres. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. Excellent value for money. Have no negative comments. It would be nice if earlier check in would be available at a fee of course since some buses arrive at the very early morning.
- veronica (7/5): -
- Bastien (9/5): Très pratique - Chambre super propre, peinture refaite sûrement récemment
Pratique pour la machine à laver
Bon rapport qualité prix pour Corong-corong
Bien situé Douche assez froide
- Gaia (9/5): -
- Piotr (10/5): Highly recommended - Friendly and helpful staff. Motorbike rental on the phone and pay at the place. Also island hopping tours availiable.
- Jonn (8/5): Great short stay on way to El Nido airport - Centrally located on main road Arranging ride to airport should have been easier with trikes available right in front.
- Marcus (1/5): The worst place I’ve ever seen - ⚠️WARNING: Dangeous toxic black mold scattered through our room, this is a health hazard which will cause life threatening illness.
Management was informed and a complete lack of care was shown and we were told no refund would be given.
The place is in a highway, extremely loud.
Lady at front counter and the manager very unpleasant. Bad energy from them a a complete lack of empathy to help.
Will be reporting to Booking and The DTI.
Business should be shut down indefinitely until mold remediation can completed. Not having to stay there
- Małgorzata (6/5): Basic acomodation close to the beach - Reception 24hours if you arrive late. Friendly staff.
Close to the beach but to get there you have to walk on some unstable wooden footbridge. Comfortable bed.
Can't say much as we stayed there one night only. No hot water at all. It was supposed to turn on after 10min but never did.
The acomodation is very basic.
The air-conditioning is broken. Turns on or changes the temperature itself.
- Joyce (10/5): - Great accommodations!
- Floryan (10/5): It is ok but still a few things to do to be perfect. - Pool... Confortable beds... Very friendly staff.
Affordable price. Air-conditioned device sound like a Traktor
Property is looking good but is situated in a not so nice area.
No TV.
Water pressure is very low, to make a shower can be difficult
- Williamson (6/5): Pleasant -
- Joseph (6/5): Pleasant -
- Loren (8/5): Very good -
- Chih-yun (2/5): Very poor - The rooster kept crowing all night long
- Joseph (8/5): Very good - Good A/C, comfy bed. Hot water in the shower. Room was next to the reception desk and kitchen, waking me up around 5ish
- Monica (8/5): - Staff was very friendly, AC worked and room was clean. Bring your own toiletries because they aren’t provided. Might want to bring ear plugs b/c you hear a lot of outside noises (tricycles, cars, dogs barking/howling and roosters). If you’re looking for a basic room, this is it.
- Lynda (10/5): Good value for money and great staff. - Very friendly and accommodating staff.
Clean and well presented rooms and facilities. Close proximity to service and good location for activities.
- Madeleine (2/5): Basic room and very noisy. Good location for the beach. - Buena’s Haven Travelodge is in a good location as it is close to the beach and some bars/restaurants.. It is a bit of a walk to El Nido town so you may need to get a trike/taxi. The air con worked well and was quiet and we had a balcony which was good for drying our clothes. We had a front room and the door to the balcony was poorly fitted and had gaps which resulted in there being a lot noise at night (cars, dogs, chickens). We did not sleep well at all and would suggest that if you want to stay here, you should try to request a room at the back of the property. Although the water pressure was good, it was often cold.
- Justine (9/5): Superb -
- Aguilar (8/5): Very good - I liked the staff, especially Billy. So helpful! It was very far.
- Stanojevic (9/5): Superb - We are satisfied with our choice to stay here. We had big balcony, enough space in the room and the bed was comfortable with a lot of pillows. Everything was clean and fresh. The property is close to the beach, 3 mins away, you just need to cross the street. Restaurants are close and El Nido is close, you can be there in 20 min by foot.
- Massimo (6/5): Pleasant - Basic room but spacious enough for solo travellers,, water from the shower is a bit rusty and bathroom not very clean.
Staff are quite disinterested and also tried to overcharge me for transfer to PP.
Location is fine if you have a scooter.
Overall a very average place but that's just what it is in El Nido, overpriced accommodations with low standards.
- Amanda (4/5): Find another hotel - Nothing really aside from the bed being comfortable There was no hot water even after we asked them to turn on the breaker per their instructions. There is absolutely no sound proofing in the hotel so don’t expect to sleep if you don’t have the best ear plugs and white noise apps cranked up on your phone. They never have their WhatsApp on so I literally had to walk down to the front every time I had a question. Wayyyy over priced for this hotel. Stay elsewhere
- Magdalena (1/5): Ant-infested room, foul-smelling water, limited warm water, and a noisy generator. - The staff was friendly, but they couldn't do much about anything. Our experience at this hotel was far from pleasant. The room had an ant problem, and the water smelled so bad that we had to use bottled water to shower. Warm water was only available upon request, which is unacceptable. Every night, the generator ran loudly, making it feel like we were next to an aircraft engine. Overall, a very uncomfortable stay—would not recommend.
- Valentas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anas (8/5): Perfect for a budget stay - Clean and has all the basics needed for a budget stay No hot shower automatically, but not cold neither. You can ask the staff to turn on the electrical heater, as they use solar during the day, but I didn’t ask as the water temperature was OK
- Wohlrab (10/5): Exceptional - Nice staff, clean room, hot water, amazing location
- Christopher (8/5): Very good - Rooms are basic but clean. They don't do breakfast but they do leave hot water in a flask for tea and coffee for the morning in the hallway. You can also use a communal kitchen area and fridge. The perfect place if you're on a tight budget. Nice touch with the indoor sliders.
- Matej (8/5): Very good -
- Osama (8/5): Nice place - The location is great since it is not too close to the city not too far. The staff were great and readily available should we need anything. The room was in a tidy and clean state. Lived the fact that we had a balcony. The shower had been painful with low pressure and runs out of hot water relatively quickly.
- Gracie (7/5): Good - Best water pressure we have had in the Philippines so far!! Such lovely staff & great value for money!
- Mary (9/5): Superb - It's the perfect location for us. In a quieter area but close enough to the town proper.
Just a few meters away from the beach with a beautiful sunset.
The bed is comfy and gets cleaned every other day.
Water is not too hot but good pressure and always available. Not a big deal but I wish the shower was a little warmer.
- Csilla (6/5): Ok - A/C
The staff were very kind and helpful
Good sized bathroom
Comfortable bed We couldn't sleep at night cuz there was a "chicken farm" facing our windows and the roosters were so loud all night!
- Laura (4/5): Disappointing -
- Valeria (6/5): Pleasant - Good location. Clean. Very basic tho. The internet was spotty.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Ok stay - Staff was helpful however the hallway to my room smelt like cigarettes and my room could have been cleaner. The wifi also did not work and I had to walk to a cafe for wifi. Also there is no drinking water onsite so you’re forced to buy bottled water, which is not sustainable. There are also loud roosters and dogs barking nearby early in the morning so it’s hard to sleep in.
- Kevin (10/5): Excellent value for money - Friendly and accommodating staff. Pleasant and clean rooms. Great location just a short walk to Corong Corong Beach
- Roxane (9/5): Nice stay out of El Nido town - Comfortable
Clean
Location No hot water for the first few days
- Marko (7/5): Good -
- Gregor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lucy (8/5): Very good -
- Caleb (6/5): Pleasant -
- Simona (4/5): Disappointing - Great location, close to the beach. During our stay I got bitten by bed bugs. After informing the staff about it, they didn’t seem to completely understand what bed bugs are. Both the staff and the management weren’t helpful in solving the problem.
- Ian (3/5): Poor -
- Richard (8/5): Good location for beaches and tours with fantastic staff. - Staff at Buena’s Haven were fantastic. Lovely people who were super helpful and couldn’t do more to help make my time in El Nido memorable. Rooster next door was noisy at times through the night.
- Gytis (8/5): Very good -
- Mandamad (8/5): Very good -
- Laura (8/5): ideal base for exploring El Nido - Great location
beach, restaurants and bars within walking distance
easy to get to El Nido proper on cheap trike Lock on the room door was a little janky, didn’t feel super secure
No safe in room
- Farah (5/5): Passable -
- Estrellita (10/5): - Courteous staff
- Dan (7/5): ideal location between El Nido and Maremegmeg - Good location, had laundry facilities, staff were also pleasant.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Location staff cleanliness and friendly and very close to everything and very helpful. Staff
- edwin (8/5): good base for trips in the surrounding. - the only disadvantage is that it is not located directly behind the beach, but at the main road with a block between the main road and the beach. But of course you pay more for a location bordering the beach (which is very noice but not suitable for swimming: too shallow). The room was clean and comfortable with enough space, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Wifi was sometimes weak.
- Anders (8/5): Okay - The hotel it self was as expected and quite good value for money. It was very noisy though
- Ulf (8/5): - Nice, clean and friendly place
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good spot for a few nights - Nice place. Friendly staff. Clean
- Alexandra (10/5): Excellent! - The experience at Buenas Haven was verry good. We had everything: the room was clean, the service great, the location good, etc.
