• Vincent (10/5): - The best place to stay in Tasmania. Avalon Coastal Retreat is an awesome place to stay. The location and space is unrivalled with sweeping views over Coles Bay to Freycinet Nat Park and pure architectural elegance of the accomodation was stunning. We could not have been more relaxed and rested. We enjoyed the open fire, the nigh stars, the walk down to a private beach, lunch at nearby Piermont restaurant, wine tasting down the road at Mayfield and a trip around the bay to walk to beautiful Wineglass bay. It could not have been in a better location. The welcome from host Shaine was next level and the generous food and drinks made the welcome even more impressive. We can’t wait to get back to Tassie and to stay at Avalon again. Vin and Kathy.
• Leah (10/5): - We absolutely loved our stay here, the house is STUNNING! The owners have attended to every single detail that makes an incredible stay. From the kitchen pantry items, equipment, books, charging cords, bathroom amenities, laundry etc couldn't fault a thing. The views and natural beauty of this property wow.... absolutely breathtaking, we loved watching the sky and water change colour, sitting by the fire. Shane was a great guide, a warm welcome and made us feel very comfortable. Can't wait to go back!
• Kerrie (10/5): The Best Way to Relax - What an absolute privilege to stay in this beautiful home. From the moment you arrive and are warmly greeted by the host and walk into the most expansive view, you know that you are in for a wonderful experience. The house is stunning. The view is exceptional. With all the amenities you need, you don't need to leave the house. Everything was perfect. We loved sitting by the fire, reading, playing cards and drinking one of the many local wines. There is enough to do in the area to keep you busy during the day, with enough time to relax in the house watching the glorious colours of the day change over the water. A truly memorable experience.

The surrounding landscape very beautiful. Birdlife and sound of the ocean and sea breeze. Absolutely stunning location. And an amazing wood fireplace with cut wood supplied. • Ivan (10/5): Unique experience of living in an award-winning archtectural marvel house. Stunning views. - Unbeatable location with stunning views, unbelievable sunsets and sunrises, exclusive access to the isolated ocean beach down the picturesque windy footpass, tons of quality books and guides, and unique architectural design. The pantry and fridge were filled with overpriced food (you have to pay to use it) to the capacity; we never asked it to be there; it was confusing. Luck of power outlets in bedrooms. Had to use power cable extenders and there were not enough of them in the house.
• Alisa (10/5): Beautifullllll Stay! - The house has an absolutely stunning view. Complete amenities provided by the host: foods, wines, kitchenwares, fireplace, woods, extra blankets...ETC. Would highly recommended. But since it's not in town, you will have to be able to cook while you stay here. Supermarket nearby is about 10-15 mins drives, with limited supply.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Beautiful Avalon - We were made to feel very welcome and special by our host Anne who showed us around the property. The house, fittings, furniture and artwork are beautiful. The house, with its extensive glass, allows you to be part of the stunning ocean and bushland environment in a very luxurious way, with beautiful views wherever you look. Despite being so accessible from the main road, once on the property, you feel like you are in your own world. Avalon has the best-stocked pantry and complimentary products we have ever seen in a holiday stay, with a kitchen that's decked out for catering. The complimentary food was much more than we could eat and drink in our very short time there. We only wish it was longer. This is a place where it's easy to unwind and that has that extra special something about it. It would make a beautiful venue for an extended stay or a special event.
