Kenneth (6/5): Great Hotel, Shame about the Pool - We rated this hotel 9.5 out of 10 and the pool 1. During our 4 night stay it was cloudy, dirty and not sure how hygenic it was...used only once but checked the condition daily to see if improved but it did not. The few loungers were grey with mould. Given all the photos of this property highlight the pool and a reason we chose it, we were so disappointed. Rest of hotel is great, attached to convenient discount mall with food and shopping options and just 10 mins to airport. Rooms are large, clean and the housekeepers outstanding...room fridge nice and cold. Quiet and terrific sleep quality. Dont stay here if the pool is important but otherwise terrific. Grab to and from waterfront less than 20 malaysian return or around 7aud.

The hotel is quite far from the main part of Kuching. Yet the hotel provided limited shuttle service. Cheap dining opportunity was available at the adjacent shopping mall .

Breakfast wasn’t great… suggest you go out and explore the lovely food in Kuching ! Hence, we didn’t get a chance to visit the Executive Lounge ! Will certainly book the same room on our next visit !

APRIEL (10/5): - The mall attached isn’t the best one in the area but if you want to do sown shopping or kill time, it’s connected to the hotel. The prices are good! They have a train ride kids can do but no playground. The hotel was great. I wish it had a thicker blanket BUT that’s probably not something I would say when it’s hot. The breakfast was good with lots of food and drink options. Omg the menu food was delicious and we got in around midnight, but fortunately they’re open 24 hrs. It was exactly what we needed after a 7 hour delay in the airport. I would highly recommend this hotel. I travel with a 4 year old and we felt safe and comfortable. The gym was good too.

Inspiration507662 (2/5): Business trip in Kuching - I decided to book into this apartment with two rooms because it was strongly recommended by my friend but unfortunately our taste differs for the following reasons . Europeans love to swim but the pool was not deep enough its more suitable for children hence it was a bad decision to stay here for 8 nights . Rooms are cleaned only once in three days never mind about that we can clean the dishes ourselves But at least please provide some clean towels , we were given old and tattered towels which is totally not acceptable, bed linen old and soiled . Wifi terribly slow . Overall it was a bad decision , i will never stay at this apartment again and it wasn't cheap either .

The manager and team are all very keen to argue but unable to provide any solutions. Worst in Malaysia. Don't make the same mistake as us. Avoid at all costs.

This apartment would be the last resort you would want to choose in Kuching. If it wasn’t because of imperial hotel that was fully book during my time of stay i wouldn’t be choosing this apartment ever and also because due to my lack of research of other hotels as well I was actually looking for a hotel with swimming pool for kids to enjoy and spend their time with. Other hotel was way too expensive for only 2 nights stay.. However, this complaint is truly just on their service provided. Not on the facilities.. It is fully because they have the worst real estate agent to manage these service apartments. LUCO VISION SDN BHD (agent name: Lily).. First asking for RM200 deposit which I totally understand but later ask for RM30.80 “Service Charged” even after I fully paid my fee through Agoda. When I ask for explanation on what kind of service charged is charge, but they couldn’t explain further none other than just mentioning “this is management T&C”. Thereafter I call Agoda for further explanation on this service charged and it come to my surprised that even Agoda were not aware of such servicing fee being charged on client. How funny is that? Later then the agent say i must pay no matter what if i wish to continue my stay, i mean i have already fully paid to Agoda on my stay of RM494.60. And so called service fee that is chargeable, they can’t even explain it. By the way if you are curious why m i so furious on this service charged is because they can’t even give a brief explanation to what service charge m i paying, everything here is self check in and they have laundry machine in the apartment but it was lock because i have to pay extra to use it and worst still there’s no drinking water provided. Least of it, when i complaint to them through WhatsApp and demanded to have a number to call, agent refused to give a number. Stating that i can only contact them through WhatsApp. What kind of service is that?? I can’t even ask for a number or have a person to talk about on this issue?? So yeah, not to even mention when i ask for early check in of 30 minutes and they say it is also chargeable at an amount of RM150.00.. in addition to that there’s literally no front desk at the lobby and we can’t even go anywhere else because our luggage would eventually be unattended.. everything here is charges charges charges.. I really don’t like wasting my time giving complaint through online platform but this kind of service from these real estate agent or so called properties agent really giving me difficult sleeping time and future guest should deserve to know this kind of service from these people. I am not the only person giving complaint on Imperial Apartment already. I have live apartment at Penang and other places, their services was way more better than i could better explain in words.

Ken (10/5): - The hotel interior is clean and spacious, so was the room. The breakfast buffet spread was superb. What I didn't like - the exterior needs upkeep, as in the windows. The glass is full of dirt and rain spots...gives an otherwise lovely view out, a not so lovely view. When it rains (and it did rain a lot when I was there), the rain drops made loud splattering noises on the metal mullions (the horizontal window frames). The extra large spaces in the room and unblocked views made up for that, I reckon.

674serenec (2/5): worse than expected - stay in suite 1913 for 4 nights with families by the end of november 2022. It was an unpleasant experience. Everythings need to be improved. 1. The apartment's lift need to be upgraded & inspected. The lifts were very slow & lack of ventilation 2. Found ants here & there inside the house 3. Washing machine need to be repaired/replaced. The motor was malfunction & produced loud noise 4. The washing machine & microwave were very dirty 5. The fridge was smelly 6. The floor was very dusty 7. Bathroom sink was clogged 8. Out of service lamp was not replaced 9. Very bad customer server. We have to wait very long during check out because the front dest staff had to went up to check the house condition in order to get the deposit refunded and it took approx 25 minutes. 10. The internet speed was unstable 11. The water filter machine was dirty and not serviced. 12 Bed was smelly

Thomas (8/5): - The Imperial Hotel in Kuching is a comfortable place to stay. It is close to the airport (and, for us, close to our families home). The rooms are comfortable but some of the features are showing their age or lack of repair. The sink drain did not open at all and we had to just remove the stopper to use the sink. The toilet seat was loose and we asked it to be tightened. Did not happen. In addition, they have a silly one-towel-per-guest policy. I get it that some guests steal towels but when it is hot and humid most folks will shower twice per day. We gave up asking for more towels. 🙄 Finally, the room comes with buffet breakfast. In past stays we have greatly enjoyed this. On this stay the quality of the food was seriously lacking and most entrees were cool or cold on the buffet line. We ate there once and just threw away the vouchers for the other four days.

I normally don't go barefooted in hotels but this time I made an exception as the carpet didn't feel sticky or dirty at all. The room was very comfortable and they even provide bathrobes. The only downside is that it would be better if there's more signage around the hotel for the parking and also from when you come out of the parking. The hotel is sort of connected to a shopping mall so without any signs, it's easy to get lost. Other than that, this hotel is perfect. =)

Sher Ming (10/5): An inexpensive Hotel that provides 5 star service. - Very helpful and friendly staff. Bathroom is spacious and bed is very comfortable.
