• Mariana (6/5): - Our room was in a very old heritage building in the middle of the old town, typical from old Krumlov. It was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were too flat. The bathroom needs renovation; it still works but the shower head was precariously hanging from a loose bar and the fan was very noisy. Breakfast was very good, many fresh options and good coffee. During a very hoy morning we enjoyed it in the terrace with a great view of the castle. The reception is not open all day; it closes at 18. We arrived at 17. Despite having informed the hotel our arrival time, the reception was closed. The restaurant downstairs is connected to the hotel, so they called the owner and she showed up 20min later. Not great, we where tired. There is a kettle and tea in the room; unfortunately we weren't told that there was a coffee machine besides the reception, including a little fridge that could have come handy to keep cold water during the 30c days we had.
• Stephen (10/5): - Loved Hotel Konvice as a place to stay. Large rooms, very comfortable beds, excellent breakfast. Very nice family runs the place. If we get back to Cesky Krumlov we would go back to Hotel Konvice.

• Bernard (10/5): - The building was restored maintaining the atmosphere of the ancient facility while introducing completely moderning facilities where needed (e.g. washrooms). This is a family run hotel with welcoming and helpful hosts. Great value for money.

The woman working the breakfast bar was extremely rude and scolded us and other customers each morning. The WiFi is useless; we had to use our mobile data for the entire stay. The towels were like sandpaper and the pillows were worn out. The double bed was made with two single flat sheets arranged sideways that came off each night.

The owner? was very friendly and she told us good spots in the city. Highly recommend for those who want to explore this city. However, better check your arrival time because the city limits car access.

It was a lovely, small historical hotel just down the street from the town square. Not knowing we weren't allowed to park in town, the owner lead us to the closest parking garage. They let us check out at our leisure and held our luggage until we were ready to leave. Breakfast was delicious too!

We had one person join us last minute and the staff was very accommodating by bringing us a rollaway bed. Staff was very nice, continental breakfast was superb, and the location was great for walking around and seeing the town.

Bed very comfortable and the pillows were like clouds! Would definitely stay here again and would recommend it very highly.

A full breakfast was included, and we could choose to eat it inside or on the terrace, which had a beautiful view. We felt very lucky to be staying at Hotel Konvice!

• Julius (8/5): - We stayed two nights at the Hotel Konvice. It was a very good location a short distance from the public parking and all interesting sights. The hotel was in a 15th century manor house, clean, quiet with a good breakfast, as well. The owner was helpful, friendly and seemed concerned that we enjoyed our stay there. Do not expect the amenities of a large, modern hotel as this is a small and quaint little place. We would stay here again and recommend it!

• Verified traveler (8/5): Lush, innit? - The hotel was amazing. The staff was so friendly, I wanted to hug them. The room was super comfortable, and not a speck of dust could be seen. And the view from our balcony was to die for. 10/10 would recommend to a friend. Like my British friend said: “Lush, innit?” The only drawback was that the price for a spritz on the balcony were a bit pricy. But the castle view made up for it.

• PMC (10/5): - Loved the centuries-old design of the building, even with the very low doorway which we bonked our heads on twice! It was a nice atmosphere that was close to everything in the old town. We would absolutely stay there again.

But at the same time, the room was cold, because of the location of my room by the street, afterhours was much noisy than expected. Also, the layout location of the rooms were different. It almost felt like a maze and low hanging walkways and it was difficult in and out of hotel with large baggage without help. *most importantly, the advertising stated that there was wifi, but it was only in the ground floor. The receptionist stated tha because of the old building they weren't able to put it upstairs...hmmm dont think so. The whole state closes after sunset and there wasn't anything to do. Only if wifi was available.....
• DaveC (10/5): - For the way I like to travel location was ideal, in a central location, yet off the main square and walkable to the bus station. Staff was great, friendly and helpful, room was clean, functional, and good size bath room. Bed comfortable. No issues.
• Esther (10/5): Charming Pension - This hotel is centrally located and close to the castle, river etc. There is a great lookout point to the castle right next to the hotel. The room has lots of character and is very spacious. Some of the furniture looks antique and the ceiling in our room was wooden - very charming. The bed is comfortable and clean. The people at reception are friendly (Petr and I can't remember the girl's name who checked us in - but she helped carry our luggage up the stairs which was really nice). The only thing Id change about this place is the need to update the towels - they are quite thin and tatty. The wifi in our room was brilliant. I read that other guests had trouble, but ours was perfect. We were directly above reception - think room 12. The restaurant 'Tavern Two Marie's' a few streets away is really nice to visit. It overlooks the castle and river, the service and food are amazing.
• Jennifer (10/5): Very nice people and a big, comfortable room. - The building our room was in was on a very steep lane. Of course, all of Krumlov is up and down. I was glad we only had carry luggage. The owner was as kind as could be. Free breakfast was lovely. The room was spacious and had wonderful windows we opened for a nice breeze. Pay with cash and save 5% - wish I would have known and brought cash. I would stay here again! We were only 2 people but the only room available was a room with an additional bedroom & twin bed. This would be GREAT for anyone traveling with another person or for 3 people. Separate spaces with a hallway and bathroom. Easy to get some privacy.

Luckily, we were provided a room with a fabulous view of the tower. Definitely would choose the hotel again during the next visit.

• Barbara (10/5): Perfect stay for us, but need to climb stairs - Helpful staff, very large room, terrific breakfast buffet including coffee, eggs, cereals,fruit, yogurt (included in price). Building is 500 years old but had all of the amenities of modern life.Great heat, hot water, quiet. Didn’t bother us, but there are a flight of stairs and walk around the corner on a steep side street to access the room. So if stairs are a problem, check with them before booking. Just 3 minute walk to main plaza and about 6 minute walk to the base of the castle. Reception gave good recommendations for restaurants (such as Papa’s) and also arranged for taxi to pick us up at the hotel (even though it was pedestrian only time on the street) and take us to the bus station.

• Camwood (4/5): Dissatisfied - The positives are the central location and a good breakfast included in the tariff. These were outweighed by the lack of air conditioning, no bar fridge, dodgy wi-fi ( works in reception), no tea making facilities and old, thin bathroom towels. To get air into the room, we had to sleep with the windows wide open and as a consequence, had the noise from the restaurants and bars below until the early morning. Buyer beware for any guest considering this hotel.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Pleasant hotel convenient to town center - The hotel is at the edge of the pedestrian area of Cesky Krumlov. We had a good view of the castle tower from our spacious room. The staff were very helpful at check-in. The breakfast buffet was simple (cold cuts, bread, fruit and eggs) but tasty.
• Peter D. (10/5): - After staying in Prague for four days we made our way by train to Cesky Crumlov. We loved the hotel's facilities (3 persons) with plenty of room to accommodate us. Lovely room with views to village and the famous castle. Fantastic buffet breakfast and excellent cakes for afternoon tea. Dinner menu also brilliant, no need to go and find something else. Dinners were so good that one had to book ahead in the afternoon as the large restaurant was always fully booked.

The hotel staff were very helpful. The hotel is in an excellent location in the old town. The bed was reasonably comfortable. We would stay there again.
• Sue (8/5): Fantastic location and ambience - I stayed here for two nights with my boyfriend. We had a superior double room which was very large and comfortable. The creaky and sloping wooden floor was an interesting experience. Felt like walking on the deck of a ship. Slight issue with the shower in terms of finding the 'sweet spot' between scalding hot and freezing cold. Other than that, all good. The buffet breakfast was great - a selection of bread and pastries, cheese and cold meats etc. Only criticism here would be the orange juice, which wasn't orange juice at all (orange coloured water?). Very pleased with the staff who, when contacted regarding a possible late arrival, assured us that they would wait.
• Les (10/5): Quiet hotel in heart of town - My husbanding I recently spent 2 nights in this charming hotel in the heart of Cesky Krumlov. Although we were in the centre of town on a very busy weekend we found it to be quiet. The staff were helpful with restaurant suggestions and reservations, as well as organizing taxi to train at the end of our stay. We enjoyed the morning breakfast included in our stay.

• Rebecca (8/5): Great for one night - A unique, charming hotel in old town of Cesky Krumlov. We only stayed for one night. but were comfortable and service was very good. The stored our luggage for us after checkout and were very helpful with answering questions. Breakfast was a typical European continental breakfast with cold meats, cheese, yogurt, fruit/veggies, pastries. They say wifi is only in the lobby, but I got a great signal in the room. The smell in the bathroom is present all over Cesky Krumlov due to the river and the sewage system, it didn't bother us that much.

Facilities are a bit dated and there is no air conditioning in our room which can be a huge problem when it is hot. Breakfast spread was small, but ok.

• Devin (10/5): Great Option, Excellent Location - Hotel Konvicé is perfectly situated in the Old Town --very close to all major attractions and restaurants. Further away from the noise and hustle of the Old Town Square, the hotel has a quiet atmosphere in a beautiful town. Our room felt like a flat --we had our own staircase, bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom, and a (small) view of the castle. Although the room was a little hot at times, we had a wonderful experience --friendly staff, delicious breakfast, and prime location!
• rb (10/5): Comfort Close to the Castle - We had room 14 which is a suite looking out to the castle. The room is huge with kitchenette, living area and bedroom. The room was very comfortable and the staff were lovely. It was a great location in the old town, very easy to walk to everywhere. The only slight issue is that there is a terrace of a restaurant outside the bedroom window which could be quite loud at night time. Having said that we often didn't get back until late anyway and once you close the windows most of the noise is eliminated.

Building itself is very interesting with the old Bohemian charm, clean in general but furnishings need to be updated especially in the bedroom.

• peterhuli (10/5): A very nice couple of days stay in Cesky Krumlov - I am giving Hotel Konvice full stars as our overall stay at the hotel was very pleasant. The hotel is very central and a stones throw away from the main square. The check in guy (can't remember his name) was extremely helpful as he guided us in things to do and places to eat by giving us a marked up map. Also, he arranged a taxi to pick us up as we got lost getting to Cesky Krumlov (after the bus ride). The hotel decor is nice and keeping with the traditional Czech style. We loved the Czech style breakfasts - especially the scrambled eggs and couldn't get enough. The restaurant has an outdoor terrace with great views of the castle bell tower.
• Louise (8/5): - Carrying heavy bags up the stairs is a bit of a problem. Reception guy helped at check-in time, but at check-out time there was only a small female staff member present - another guest helped us. 2-bedroom apartment had spacious bedrooms, but lacked a common sitting area for us all to get together.
• Jim (6/5): Could have been better. - Very roomy. Slippery shower. Had to descend steep hill to room and then climb steep stairs. Waiter asked for 10% tip after poor service. We would never eat dinner there again. Town is very nice. We would go there again. Restaurant "Na Louzi" is very good. Good shopping. Lots of photo ops.
• Jana (8/5): Cesky Krumlov did not disappoint - Krumlov was as beautiful as ever, not in a full season yet (mid May)which made walks and visits very comfortable. Hotel Konvice is in an old historical building and therefore very unusual and romantic - though the stairs could be challenging for less mobile visitors. Reasonably priced with a very nice breakfast included. It was a very rainy afternoon when we stayed and we would have loved a facility to make a cup of tea in the room. Unfortunately it is still not very common for hotels in the Czech Republic to have a kettle & cups in the room. This was our third stay in Cesky Krumlov and we have been pleasantly surprised by the high quality of food in restaurants - everywhere we went, the local specialities were just outstanding, together with the beer and local wines. In addition I had some business to conclude there and despite not having made an appointment, the dealing of the regional authorities was just of a very high quality.
• Gregory (8/5): The perfect place in cesky krumlov. - The check-in was very smooth. We had made an error in our two night booking and they noticed and straightened it out in advance. It is a charming hotel and were very accommodating in allowing us to have breakfast early prior to our leaving. They moved our friends into a room so that we would be closer together. They happily provided us with an ice bucket, ice and wine glasses. All in all it was a great place and the staff are excellent. Location is great.

• Robyn (8/5): In old part of town. - Great location in the old part of town hotel staff fantastic, good breakfast. Having a room at the front of the hotel was noisy every time people walked up the road which was one of the main entrances to the square. The second night not so many people so not so noisy. We had to leave early to catch a train and they gave us a breakfast pack to take with us. Just so kind and helpful. Love to stay again but at the back of the hotel.

• Susana (8/5): Nice location - The hotel is nice, a boutique like hotel in the historic town. The person at reception was a very kind gentleman. Our room was huge!!! (Number 10) Very nice decorated. It is located near everything. The restaurant at the hotel is excellent and top services. We had a nice stay, but the only detail we did not like were their pillows. Wished they had add extra ones. Also we were not able to use internet from the room. The overall experience was very good. I will recommend it.
• John (8/5): - Hotel Konivce is a pleasant small hotel close to the center of a magical little town. Its location is ideal because it is close to the bridge at the beginning of the pedestrian only area, but nothing is far away in this idyllic spot.
• Shelley (6/5): Friendly & helpful hotel - Large room, dated furniture. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. Very friendly staff and the room was spotless! We had a view of the bell tower from our room.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Nice location - Staff very friendly and restaurant is very good. The room was large and quaint. Bed was slightly hard according to my wife but I slept great. Location is excellent however no parking and parking is 15 minute walk and at least that long of a drive back.

• Verified traveler (8/5): A gem in Český Krumlov centre - Hotel Konvice is a nice choice if you're looking for something good in value and close to the city centre. 2 minutes walk to the main square where you can find most of the restaurants, 7 minutes walk to the castle area. The reception is friendly and helpful upon arrival. The hotel restaurant is also a popular pick for dining. Breakfast is great - you can choose fried eggs in different style, absolutely personalized! I will definitely recommend it to everyone who is staying in the town for short stay.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely hotel with good location! - Very nice hotel with a beautiful view of the Cesky Krumlov castle. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect as it was just a few mins walking distance from the bus terminal and the city center. We really enjoyed staying at a comfortable room with medieval interiors. Breakfast was nice and simple :)
• Mari (6/5): Close to all sites in Cesky Krumlov - Unfortunately when we arrived in Cesky Krumlov, they were experiencing a heat wave. The hotel is not air conditioned and it was unbelievably hot and uncomfortable. The hotel staff was pleasant but unable to help us with a simple fan. It was almost impossible to sleep in these conditions. Also, there was a very low doorway like a cave and my husband really hit his head hard on it. Our window was on a noisy street, so we couldn't open it.

• Gary (10/5): WOW! I love this place! - Checking in with Receptionist Lada was a breeze. She was friendly and helpful and welcoming and beautiful. My room in the annex was amazing, more and apartment than a hotel room. And it was HUGE! I could have held a formal ball in there. Spotless, clean, well-maintained yet rustic, small windows but good views. Great room. Only minor comment: for such a great little hotel, the breakfast buffet was a touch basic, merely a continental-style spread. Cold meats and cheeses, cereals, juice, breads. No eggs or hot sausages, no potatoes, no other hot dishes. Could have been better.
• Cynthia (8/5): Great location, town goes to bed early - Hotel Konvice is just as you enter the old town of Cesky Krumlov and an easy walk to the castle and numerous restaurants. The building is very old and walls are thick, so sound does not travel but they warned that sometimes the wifi doesn't travel either! There are not lifts, but we were in a room up just one small flight of stairs and the two twin bed room has the beds almost in separate rooms, so you get a little bit of space and privacy, which is nice. The heat was definitely adequate even though it was a chilly night. Breakfast was your typical European breakfast with meat, cheese, breads and you could request eggs from the server. Just know that once the day trippers from Prague have left, most of the town shuts down at 5:30 or 6:00. You can get dinner then, but don't expect to have shops to yourself (maybe they stay open later in the summer busy season).
• Verified traveler (8/5): Easter in Cesky Krumlov - A good stay - room was a bit awkward to get to (out of front door and down side street) but this added to the quirkiness of the hotel. Helpful with finding parking for the car. Receptionist told us the wrong time for breakfast but we were catered for none the less.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Great choice - The hotel is in a fabulous location ... about a 10 minute walk from the bus station and a 2 minute walk to the main square. The castle is about a 10 minute walk. The room was very comfortable and the staff were very friendly. We really couldn't have asked for anything more. I'd love to stay there again.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Good Clean Hotel - The lady at reception was the sweetest. Bed and bathroom were clean. When I accidentally woke up late and missed breakfast the guy at reception came up to make sure I was okay. The location was right by the square which was convenient and it's only about a ten minute walk to the castle. About 10 minute walk from Student Agency bus stop. Highly recommended.
