But a lot of construction in the water villas which affected our privacy and overall stay in the water villa The water villa! The room was pretty old and a lot of renovations around the room, the washroom was below par, wood had been broken in some parts. We heard knocking noises on our door at night. We had to request for a change. But the night front office manager did help us change the room to garden side but with a lot of negative allegations on us. Which was super frustrating. We were asked for the upgrade the day we checked in but we didn’t know which room was for upgrade, the night manager made comments about it and made us look small. When the intention was to check if they had alternative and we figured the rooms around us were being renovated. That was a disappointment.

- Nicole (8/5): It was a lovely resort stay, and it being a villa on the sea made it a very unique experience! - The room was very spacious, and had good air-conditioning. There was plenty of counter space at the kitchen area and the view at the sea suite was very nice. There was also efficient buggy service, which made transportation from the main lobby to the room quite fun and fast. The swimming pool was kept clean, and had a good view of the sea and the villas. Since the price of the stay is not that cheap, there are a few minor points that could be improved upon to make the price more worth it. The soaps were not very effective and a bit too watery. Sometimes after calling reception to request for certain things (e.g. bedroom slippers, replacement towels), it would take quite some time for them to deliver the items (more than 20minutes). But other than that, everything was good!

I also really liked the layout of the room — it felt spacious and comfortable for a family stay. The pool was lovely, and the property itself is quite spacious with a very well-maintained landscape around it. The overall atmosphere was calm and quiet, which made the stay relaxing. Another big advantage was the convenience — it’s very close to the airport and also well located for accessing most attractions. The room was large, well planned, and had a spacious bathroom with enough room for a family to stay comfortably. However, I felt the maintenance could have been better. While the room appeared clean overall, there were a few details that affected the experience — the curtains had stains, the commode was stained, some of the furniture looked quite worn out, and even the water bottles kept inside appeared stained. These may seem like small details, but they impacted the overall impression of cleanliness and upkeep.

Information about the food / buffet / steam bowl given by the reception was not adequate. Most of the staff don't know proper English or they cannot communicate back with understanding English. Atleast at the reception they should have a fluent English understanding team. The resort doesn't have liquor and they don't keep glasses to drink water inside the room. Room service is very very slow. They don't have proper travel desk to help/ guide for local sight scene or all ride/ adventure options. This is very helpful if someone guides us which ride will take how much time and what we should avoid etc.

- Muzna (9/5): Just beautiful ….. - The property itself is gorgeous, lush gardens properly taken care of , and you can see the waterfront but you can’t swim … there isn’t any access and it’s not swimmable. So it is a waterfront property just don’t imagine it as a beach front one where you can lounge and swim. Apart from this one thing , it was fantastic the rooms are spacious the bathrooms were amazing , so big and super hot water with full pressure . Pls keep in mind there is absolutely nothing that is a walking distance around the property…. We had rented a car and would drive to PANTAI CENANG and the other attractions everyday . Because size wise and beauty wise there are no such properties in the thick of it all .

- Badredine (3/5): Raisonnable - L’hôtel était globalement propre et le personnel présent en nombre suffisant. Le petit déjeuner remplissait son rôle sans décevoir. J’ai particulièrement apprécié la présence d’un animateur dédié aux activités extra, qui apportait une vraie dynamique au séjour. Enfin, le point fort indéniable reste l’environnement : un cadre naturel extraordinaire, d’une tranquillité absolue. Certains comportements à l’accueil ont manqué de professionnalisme et ont laissé une impression mitigée dès l’arrivée. Dans la chambre, l’absence de douchette dans la baignoire s’est révélée contraignante au quotidien. Les joints de salle de bain étaient visiblement encrassés, et l’évacuation de la douche était légèrement bouchée, des détails d’entretien qui nuisent au confort global. Il manquait même une paroi de douche visiblement récemment cassée et rebouché à la va vite avec du silicone , dommage pour un standing de cette classe d’hôtel.

- Ian Anderson (8/5): We made the most of a strange break away - The resort is beautifully kept, the gardens are immaculate and most of the staff were really friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfy & the room was all very clean and well equipped with small kitchen area, mini bar fridge, kettle, tea & coffee, very fluffy towels, huge bathroom. Good breakfast selection. The hotel is dry though, no alcohol served anywhere. Due to the fact our flights had been delayed we unfortunately missed our connecting flight and first night's stay and our friend (whose birthday we were there for) couldn't even make it as he injured his back whilst travelling. Julia on reception wasn't very helpful made no allowance for this and charged us fully for the rooms and the birthday decorations and room taxes. We felt they could have been a bit more understanding.

Wer den Lärm von Rasenmäher und Laubbläser mag ist in der Anlage richtig. Von Ruhe und Erholung kann nicht ausgegangen werden. Das Küchenpersonal hat Spielraum nach oben.

Басейнът е доста приятен. Закуската беше ок Всяка сутрин косяха тревата или обдухваха листата с моторни машини, които създаваха шум и реално не може да спиш до късно или ако искаш да се насладиш на птиците и спокойна атмосфера около басейна, не е възможно. Ще е добре да купят електрически. Вече навсякъде ги има. Другото е, че реално няма плаж към морето. Може да се ползва само басейна. Допълнително в хотела не сервират алкохол и е забранена консумацията на територията на хотала. Мился, че трябва да променят тази полутика, ако искат да имат повече Западни туристи
- Philip (8/5): Enjoyable stay but.... - Friendly and helpful staff. Well-kept ground. Good location. Quite a lot of wear and tear noted in the room. The balcony is outdated and the cushions need to be replaced.

- Ingrid (9/5): - Sehr schönes Hotel mit super Pool und grossen Zimmern. Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Zu empfehlen. Die "Villa am Meer" ist nicht im Hotel sondern in Pfahlbauten über einen Weg entfernt auf dem Meer. Wir waren froh, daß sie uns eine Wohnung ins Ombak Hotel gewechselt haben Im Fitness sind alle Geräte beschädigt.

- Gérald (10/5): - La gentillesse du personnel, l'emplacement, le restaurant pour le petit déjeuner et le déjeuner ! La piscine et les jardins! La chambre super grande et confortable ! On a même vu des singes ! Tout etait parfait ! Merci Rien!
- Shiela (6/5): Comfortable room in a dated resort - The room was large, clean and the bed was comfortable with a view of the sea The pool was clean and a good place to hang out. Reasonable price The resort needs a bit of an upgrade. Some of the roofs looked as if they had totally decayed. There was a continual sound of dripping water in the bathroom. My room was up stairs and if you came out when the lights hadn’t been turned on, it was hard to see the stairs. I heard another guest complaining about the lack of lights Breakfast was a disappointment and I only bought breakfast on one day. Lack of choice and what was there wasn’t that attractive. I had arrived at 12 from an international flight and although I know that check- in is at 3 pm I had to wait until bang on 3 despite the hotel being pretty empty. It’s a hotel which definitely looks better in their photos.

- Helmut (6/5): - Pool war sehr schön nur tägliches, stundenlanges Laubblasen mit Zweitaktmotor und giftigen Abgasen direkt neben und hinter dem Pool war extrem grauslich. Unterkunft war gemütlich. Laubbläser mit giftigen Abgasen fast täglich und wirklich stundenlang neben, seitlich und hinter den Hecken am Pool war extrem schädlich, daher nie wieder. Alles fährt elektrisch am Gelände, warum also nicht Akkulaubbläser?
