- Brandee (8/5): - Simple, clean, great pool, good continental breakfast. Great walkable location near the beach and restaurants. Small elevator - like most boutique hotels in Europe- but should be prepared to take baggage up stairway. Had trouble with mosquitoes in our room early October- left the sliding door vented for air overnight- wrong move. Would definitely stay there again- good for the price.

- Tara (8/5): - This property has been around for a long time. It shows its age, but is well maintained and the included breakfast is quite good. No toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner or body lotion provided in the rooms, so bring your own if you are staying for longer than a few nights. Pool area is lovely, but be aware that this property hosts events. While we were there a large children’s birthday party happened, so the music was loud all afternoon and there were a lot of people on the grounds. This hotel is located across the street from the ocean, beaches and on the main strip were there are many restaurants to choose from.
- Sorin (4/5): - Even if is rated 3 star hotel, with no elevator, I don,t think can be a real 3 star. The electricity is working only with a room key connected to general switch. Every time you open the balcony door AC stop, lights also, very inconvenient.
- Brian (2/5): - This was a horrible hotel to stay at.. my trip to this hotel was very unfortunate not very memorable… the hotel staff was very unfriendly didn’t show very much customer service or hospitality when we arrive to the hotel. The room they provided with us. The air-conditioning was broken, they didn’t have a new batteries for the remote control so the TV wouldn’t turn on, the shower was broken that the rain shower wasn’t working. This was a really bad experience. I don’t recommend staying here.

The only downside was we stayed on the second floor of the older part of the property and getting to our room was not an easy task as there were only stairs to get to the 2nd floor and a few ramps just to get to these steps. For anyone disabled, this would not be suitable.
- Ahmed (6/5): Try to avoid - The hotel lack a lot of essentials. And no space in the room. I tried family suite, standard room and superior room. The look of the rooms changed but the quality remained the same. Poor rooms, with poor walls.

- Glenn (10/5): Toppenbra hotell! - Toppen hotell! Bra poolområde. Bra frukost. Hjälpsam personal med precis allt vi behövde. Taxi service som var toppen! Kände oss jättesäkra. Vi bodde i ett Panorama rum på våning 8, så fin utsikt! Bra dusch, är van vid att det är lite dåligt tryck i duschar när man är utomlands. Men här var det riktigt bra. Så nöjda! Åker gärna tillbaka igen 🙏☺️ Enda minuset var att AC slutade funka en natt då den stått på för länge... Men receptionen fixade så vi fick upp en fläkt, så det gick att sova med den på :)
- Alfred (6/5): - We found the overall experience lacking due to the condition of the facilities. The rooms are in serious need of renovation. The furniture and decor felt outdated, and the bedding showed visible signs of wear. The bathrooms could also benefit from a refresh. With some much-needed upgrades, this hotel has the potential to be far more enjoyable.
- Janice (10/5): - We reserve last minute and were able to get a room. If you want a lively place for the weekend this is your spot. They closed the streets surrounding the hotel and nearby hotels for partying all night long. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommended.

Thank you to all the staff at the hotel from the reception team and especially the bar staff who were quick helpful friendly and really hard working always up and down the pool area attending to the guests.

Parking is easy this time of year which is unusual for Greece.. pool area is also quite nice. Only pain of the room situation is the key cars controlling room power. Good to save energy, but when you are out of the room with your ke, the power is off to the refrigerator.

- M (2/5): Horrible room, bed and noisy location - This property is aweful...bed is horible. We would have been better off sleeping in our car. The mattress is thin, hard and yiu feel all the springs. Zero comfort in the place and the noise all night from the street traffic was horrible! It was impossible to sleep here. BTW the breakfast meats were old and had different colors, eating here will get you sick!

Our room had a “view” of the back of the restaurant, we paid extra to have a pool view. Bathroom door didn’t close. Furniture was water stained and warped. Listing on hotels.com said rooms were soundproofed and they were far from it! Don’t bother booking this hotel, search on.

Great location Easy to get to the airport Easy to get to the ferry terminal And tons of restaurants around Maybe 7 minutes walk to the supermarket if needed The sea is right there too , can see from the balcony though the bigger well organized with food and all beaches are a drive away. But a short drive . If you just want a beach without restaurants- it’s right there , cross the street .

Algunas cosas cambiaron pero la atmósfera es la misma y nos gustó reencontrarnos en Nea Macri, hermosa playa pero si quieres la mejor tendrás que caminar unos 1000 metros por la rambla donde hay excelentes restaurantes sobre la playa. Lo único que critico del hotel es que tienes que subir y bajar 2 pisos por escalera en el área izquierda del hotel. Desayuno y alberca excelente también. Volveremos pero antes de otros 36!!

All the things after we check in till check out was perfect excluding breaksfast. The service was also perfect. It was a nice place to stay with family. If i do next time, i will prefer again. - Evelyn (10/5): Nice resort - Very fun stay! The pool is nice and the flowers on the balconies and inside the resort are so pretty. Staff could be a little more proactive (we asked for balcony door to be fixed and when we asked to play tennis, they said they were out of tennis balls.) In the end we bought some at the kiosk right outside the hotel and left them there. Breakfast was good, nice to sit outside near the pool. All in all a great time!
- Julie (10/5): - We loved our stay here and all the staff at the hotel made our stay so much better, everyone was SO helpful and kind, and their English is excellent. We had a room overlooking the pool and sea with a large balcony which was lovely. The room has a fridge and looks newly renovated as it is very clean. We didn't have a kettle but asked at reception and they found one for us and some cups to use. The pool area is beautiful and well maintained by the maintenance teams, and there is a bar open from 10am and snacks available throughout the day (try the club sandwich, it is amazing) There is also drinking water available so you don't need to buy plastic bottled water. The sea is just outside the hotel, across the road, it's a small beach, but there is shade available and the water is absolutely crystal clear and great for snorkeling. There's a small kiosk shop there as well selling drinks and snacks and ice creams. The local bars and restaurants all along the harbour front are all excellent and great value. Average €40-€50 for a meal for two with starters and drinks. I highly recommend an early run/walk along the coast to Marathon. It's a good 3k run before you run out of path and the sunrise around 5:45-6am is absolutely spectacular. If you continue 1k inland you can visit the Tumulus of the Athenians. It costs €6 to go in and walk around or you can see the mound/tomb from the fence.

- Roman (2/5): Terrible - We booked the hotel at the last minute, only a few minutes after booking, when we saw the room we canceled it and left. The rooms are dirty, lack of maintenance, but mainly you can smell the humidity and mold, our room also smelled of cigarettes. In addition, the hotel did not agree to the cancellation of the reservation, even if it lasted only a few minutes, and demanded payment of the full price. Probably the worst experience with accommodation in Greece...

Frokosten kunne vært noe bedre, også renholdet. Selvom det angivelig skal ha vært renovert nylig, var vårt inntrykk at det var noe slitent. Reiste med to voksne og to barn.

Hotel po gruntownym remoncie. Bardzo ładne, czyste pokoje z widokiem na basen. Do morza bardzo blisko - wystarczy przejść przez ulicę. Plaża czysta, bez kamieni. W obiekcie hotelowym dostępne leżaki przy basenie. Dobre śniadania. Odpoczywając na basenie można skorzystać z usług kelnera: przekąski, napoje itp. Po wyjściu z hotelu bardzo duża ilość restauracji i tawern dal każdego coś się znajdzie. Jak ktoś ma odrobinę szczęścia, to może w ogrodzie hotelowym spotkać żółwia. Serdecznie polecam ten hotel na wypoczynek lub jako miejsce wypadowe na zwiedzanie Aten.

The staff is all very friendly especially Lisa and Julianna at the front desk! This will be our choice on our next visit to the Athens area.❤️

- Jane Schiøler (10/5): Very good value for the money! - Some part of the hotel is a bit worn out, but we had a nice updated room with a nice bath and view to the pool - a very nice pool-area, with a nice poolbar, and they bring you free water. Very nice and helpfully staff all over. A bit noice from the street, but we did sleep well.The breakfast is not something speciel, but ok. Good opportunities for biking and walking to historically places. A very good price for the stay. All in all very good value for the money.

- Huizhen (6/5): - My google map brought us to a different location with the address provided in the Hotels.com email. Since it was after 9pm. It was dark and scared when we couldn't locate the resort.

The hotel was fine, older but in good condition. I however did not appreciate the staff, from short changing me when making change for me, to overcharging for services, tip: everything they supply you with is 50 euros & up, your better off to plan your own taxis to Athens or other areas you might travel too or take the city bus.
- Jennifer (4/5): - Tired hotel. Hotel room is cold with pebble floor, not particularly clean. Bathroom only has dispenser for shower gel/shampoo. Furniture is worn out and dirty. Buffet dinner was dried out and unappetizing. Hotel staff were not particularly helpful and very slow.

- Aziza (8/5): Our stay at the Marathon - Our stay overall was good, only dissapointment was we asked for a quiet room and were assured it was, but we were next to a restUrant in the hotel that played very loud music till 2 am. When we complained at 11pm we were told we had to pay for a more expensive room on the other side of the hotel. Very disappointing.

- Christopher N M (10/5): Wonderful resort in a quiet quaint town on coast - We had a great time. The service was awesome. Front desk always helpful. Extra pillows came 1 min after asking for them! Our room was #29 first floor. Quiet and very close to the pool. The AC worked well, the beds are comfortable, tv had English Chanels only at night. The only thing I don't like was the room was not that clean. The floor is some sort of rocks, like outside, which never really gets clean. I had to leave towels on the floor to feel germ free. The pool is really nice! The breakfast was just ok. But don't be late,they take everything away at 10am. You can walk to the beach in 5 min. Plenty of restaurants there. Or walk into town, at the square for yummy gyros and waffles. We also went to see a movie at the local outdoor movie theatre for 6 euros each. We also rented bikes but they are all very old and falling apart with low airin the tiers. Not worth 12 euros. They should be free to take for the guest, that's how low quality they are. But I would say this place is great. I'd stay again.

Good variety breakfast would recommend to stay . The place a little quieter than we expected mostly Greek families and Eastern Europeans ,small beach but no charge for beds

The hotel is really nice - wonderful salt water pool, great location steps from the beach. We found the beds to be very comfortable- high quality mattresses. Lots of great restaurant choices within walking distance.

- Stephen Hanson (8/5): Basic but functional - Second time we’ve stayed at the Marathon and it seems not to be as good as it once was. The rooms are basic as are the hotel facilities, no tea or coffee making facilities, the buffet breakfast was limited, with little choice and the same every day. However, the staff are very friendly and helpful, which made a difference. As far as the immediate area around the hotel and village somewhat run down and little to do, but Athens is easy to get to (by local bus and then the metro).

Very noisy location for our unit, just opposite a bar with live music. Excellent breakfast. Desk staff was helpful in printing boarding pass.

- jane (8/5): Good Position...close to the beach - This was our second stay at the hotel..The receptionist was very helpful and changed our room as we wanted a room close to the sea...Some rooms are rather minimal and could perhaps do with refurbishment but the building at the front is nicer. The breakfast is plentiful..buffet style but the hot food choice was cold...and needed a bit of variety..eggs ,bacon and cheese pie get boring to eat every day! Moreover our room was very noisy on Saturday night due to there being a bar downstairs.. at 2 am we complained and they immediately lowered the volume a bit but still for a big hotel it wasn't acceptable. Overall, I am not sure I will stay there for a 3rd visit..
- Verified traveler (10/5): Clean and nice hotel - We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We rented a car from the airport and reached the hotel in 30 mins. I'm a clean freak, but everything was white and really clean, so I didn't have to worry about anything. The room had a comfortable bed and a small balcony which was nice. The wifi was a bit spotty in the room. The breakfast buffet was simple, but good and fresh. The restaurant staff at breakfast were very friendly and offered us Greek coffee which was awesome. I would definitely return to this hotel if I visit again.
