- Steven (10/5): - The Swiss hotel is great option in Freetown. Staff is amazingly helpful and courteous. Rooms are very spacious, modern and clean. There is also a restaurant at the hotel. Slightly pricey but food quality is excellent.
- Jennifer (10/5): Cute hotel, friendly staff, good price. - The hotel is nicely decorated throughout with a lovely pool/bar area. The staff were all super friendly and helpful, and I had a nice stay. For me, the mattress was not comfortable as I like a firm, supportive mattress, but for a few days, I survived. The breakfast was good and had a nice variety of food that kept me full until dinner. Thank you all for your hospitality!

- Jean (10/5): - I always stay at the Swiss Hotel when I stay in Freetown. I enjoy staying here and feel very happy with the service and facilities in general. However, on my last visit there seemed to be a shortage of toilet roll with my toilet roll only being replaced with one if the existing roll was nearly empty. I ran out a few times and had use the tissues and once ran out of everything and didn’t get a replacement until my third Tim of asking. I had bought some spare myself to ensure that I didn’t really run out. Such a small thing and it didn’t spoil my stay but it does seem an unnecessary issue. Otherwise, I’m still very happy with my stay and will be coming again.

- ajay (8/5): - One of the better places in Freetown. Staff are lovely but not the best. I cant blame them for this as conditions in Sierra Leone have been difficult for 30 years and education is not easy. The owner and manager are very nice and help as much as they can. You must have some understanding when travelling to countries that arent famous tourist resorts. Be tolerant with the staff.

Fornece apenas uma toalha para duas pessoas. O hotel fica muito longe do centro. Café da manhã bom faltando queijo, presunto e frutas como banana e laranja. Peço em torno de 100 dólares.

- Raymond (10/5): Very nice, but also pretty normal for SL - Nice rooms, very clean, but fairly typical for Sierra Leone (IYKYK). After being up country, nice to have hot water and other amenities. The food was very good also. There's a lot of street noise, but it can be minimized by closing any windows and using the AC.
- Jan (4/5): - The apartment was not as listed with very few amenities. There is no pool view from the apartments and they are very noisey. The tv in the unit was old with poor quality and sound the dishes were dirty and scattered in the cabinets. Room service was mediocre and very pricey for the quality. The pool was cold and full of debris and across a busy back alley from the apartments. Much needs to change here in comparison to other places I’ve stayed in the area.
- Prince (10/5): - I had a wonderful stay at the Swiss Hotel. The hotel is clean and well appointed. The staff is friendly and went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. The pool and outdoor terrace is a definte bonus after a long day. With constant water, electricity, good wifi, great food and clean rooms, the hotel is above the standard in Freetown. I will definitely plan on staying again.

I felt they all became friends -- from the house keepers to bar staff, receptionists and managers. Highly recommended. I will return here on my next visit

It was easily accessible by public transportation at any time of the day and because of the location, you can feel safe taking public transportation even at late hours of the night. The staff there were excellent and very attentive and pleasant. Every single staff there was incredible. One thing that I did not like was the fact that every guest had to stop at the front desk and wait for the staff to call up to the room before they could come upstairs. I think this is a bit invasive to someone's privacy. As long as the person knows what room or suite they're going to, they should be allowed to just go upstairs. Not every guest wants everyone to know who is coming to visit them. I don't believe people are just randomly walking into hotels from the street if they don't know who they are coming to visit. I personally, would like to see this changed.

- Brenda (8/5): Amazing Staff! - I didn't get the room that I booked at first and was put in an apartment off site of the hotel. They did however get me moved over as soon as they could. We did get in trouble for swimming after hours, but we had not seen any signs on the hours the pool was open. Overall, a great place to stay because the staff is amazing. They have been there for several years and tend to remember you. A very nice touch. Plus they will go over and above to make your stay good.

A smaller hotel within a short ride of the hustle bustle of Lumley and the beach. Nice sized rooms which are well appointed. Competitive rates. Distant sea views. The staff are very friendly and work hard to make your stay a pleasant one. A special mention for Elizabeth who appears to be the 'problem solver' at the property. A great place to relax after a busy day.

A couple of minor matters were quickly dealt with making us feel valued customers. we would definitely recommend and stay again.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Good hotel and good services-AVOID HOTEL TRANSPORT - Great hotel and great experience. My only qualm was the fee they charged me for transport from the airport to my hotel (you may be aware you need to take a boat into Freetown); service was said to be 'VIP' but I ended up waiting for more than an hour for my boat to come while the passengers I passed by in the queue surpassed me on their boats. The boat is $40 each way and the hotel charged me $120 each way (3x the already expensive boat ride price). Once I found out the price relative to the service that was offerred (my secretary booked it), I cancelled the return. The accepted after a bit of back and forth. So definitely arrange your own transport.

The owner of the hotel is so nice, she let us take a shower while we were leaving at midnight and checked out on the morning already. Possibility to buy tickets for the speed boat to reach the airport. Perfect hotel, location, food, services.

- fb (4/5): Overpriced hotel, that should be rated two-star - The air conditioning did not work, the toilet overflowed, the shower leaked, the WiFi was on and off. The restaurant was okay, but broke a tooth on a bone in the rice. Most surprising is that I have never seen so many hotel staff sitting around doing so little work.
- david (2/5): Dump - Placed in new bldg which required crossing dark ppl full unsafe road. No working phone in room. No railing on stairwell. Staff wouldn't do anything to help. To top it off their laundry lost a pair of socks. Don't Stay Here
- Franklyn (10/5): Very nice boutique hotel unique in Freetown - Impressed and thoroughly satisfied with service provided and attention given to details and personal needs of guests. The front desk management and staff were very helpful and polite, and willing to go the extra mile to make me as their guest comfortable and satisfied. I also found the premises well secured and the surroundings safe; guarantied supply of electricity and water; and adequate staff complement to ensure that the hotel remains clean and spotless at all times and that things work well.
