Guest Reviews
- Andrew (10/5): Relax - Such a great place to just switch off.
- Michelle (10/5): - This property was one of the most amazing properties we have ever stayed - the view was out of this world with the floor to ceiling glass. The wooden bath on the deck was fantastic. The attention to detail, communication and the excellent inclusions made it next level and impossible not to feel relaxed - highly recommended.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Private, unique, unforgettable experience....!
- lou (10/5): - What's not to like, could live there forever !!
Location, serenity, comfortable, clean, everything at your fingertips, experience, expectation in the lead up to our stay, communication was excellent, unique
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Parfait
- Andrew (10/5): Breathtakingly Beautiful - From the moment you leave the highway and drive up the steep gravel driveway you know you are heading somewhere special. Upon entering the building you are taken back by the surrounding beauty of not only the internal space but also the sweeping external views. Modern, clean and isolated are some words that spring to mind. You are met by the host and given a run through the property after which the solitude sets in. Allow plenty of time to peruse the substantial library The outdoor tub is amazing as is the gallery just a stroll away. Rocky Hills Retreat is simply beautiful
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Pretty much everything was unique about RHR but the thing that stood on for me was...... the silence !
- Breeony (10/5): Tasmania's Best Kept Secret - This was the most amazing property. Everything was pure perfection. I felt so relaxed and like never wanted to leave. The attention to detail was phenomenal and the bath....oh my goodness. I could not fault this property. The only down side was that I didn't book to stay longer. This is my number one recommendation in Tasmania!
- Clay (10/5): - Absolutely stunning property with amazing views. The perfect spot to propose. Exceeded all expectations from the fully stocked kitchen to the amazing outdoor bathtub. Would highly recommend
- Ben (10/5): - This place is exactly what a person needs every once in a while, a place for solice, contemplation and relaxation. Beautifully restrained architecture gives full appreciation of place here. Would come back repeatedly.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Stunning!! - Our stay at Rocky Hills Retreat was better than I imagined from the photos. Vast and breathtaking views, luxurious amenities, incredibly comfortable bed....everything was brilliant.
Check in was easy and helpful, breakfast provisions were abundant, and the bath was absolute bliss (it took about 45mins to heat up, so prepare in advance).
The art studio was gorgeous, and we loved the information provided regarding the different art pieces and history of the retreat.
(Tip if you don't feel like cooking: head to Bark Mill Tavern and grab a pizza take away - they are delicious!).
Highly recommend a stay at Rocky Hills, we will definitely be back!
- Margot (10/5):
Absolutely Fabulous - I organised this Retreat as a birthday surprise for my partner and his response on entering was priceless! Wow! was an understatement. We didn't need to leave for the duration of our stay. Fully equipped and catered kitchen. Fabulous views, extra large comfy bed. So glad we had the opportunity to stay at Rocky Hills.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Honeymoon Heaven - From start to finish Rocky Ridge was honeymoon heaven
- Brendan (10/5): Amazingly secluded retreat with views forever! - Really enjoyed our stay, fully stocked pantry and amazing outdoor wooden bath!
- Damian (10/5): Tree top Hideaway - Absolutely stunning views of the east coast of Tasmania. Everything catered for from complimentry ingredients to make a soup for dinner to hats and aeroguard for a walk along the access roads. Access also to an art studio in an old church to express your inner Monet.
Highly recommend for a romantic weekend away.
- Damian (10/5): Romantic Space in the Hills - Breathtaking views from the top of a huge hill. Every thing you could ever want from complimentary ingredients to make a rustic soup to hats and aeroguard to wander along the roads. Access to an old Church turned into a art studio to express your inner self which unfortunately didn't have time to complete some art. Thank you thank you thank you, we will be back next year. Shhh, don't tell too many people about this gem of a place
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great stay at RHR - We had a great stay at Rocky Hills Retreat which is a very private and well equipped house. Unfortunately the weather is not good, we cannot see the sunset from the house. The house is at the top of hill and the driving road is really "rocky". It's really worth to spend a relaxing afternoon at the house
- Verified traveler (10/5): Weekend Away - Took the wife up to Rocky Hills for a weekend away. Amazing location, secluded and private. The house itself is phenomenal, with all glass walls along 3 sides, open layout and perfect facilities. The old chapel turned art studio will be right up your alley if you want to spend some time producing artwork or chilling out on the lounge. Otherwise you can spend some time in the main house, reading from the large library, handing out on wonderful couches, or in the huon pine bath on the deck. A great and relaxing experience.
