Excellent food and service and we would stay here again for the delicious homemade meals. It’s not fancy but this hotel has the basics covered which was what we were looking for.

- Mary (8/5): A Nice Stopover for One Night - Was right on top of where two highways merge, so I was very concerned about the noise. But…it wasn’t bad at all. The windows blocked it out quite well. Room was modern and seemed super clean! The restaurant was only staffed by one person. She was the greeter, server and then went back and cooked your food. We sat at our table a VERY long time before getting menus or acknowledgement. Something didn’t make sense…and sure enough, the poor women didn’t want you ordering food if she was still busy with the prior customers. It was all linear for her—no ability to multi-task. But honestly, it became comical for two retirees with time to spare.

Very easy check-in, hyper clean room, very comfortable bed, strong shower, even electric charging for our car. It may not have the hype of a big-chain name but this place is simply an easy, affordable stay. Well worth a look.

Most hotels we've stayed at have very small pools but this one is nicely sized. They also have a hot tub and dry sauna. I nice way to unwind after a long drive. - Verified traveler (4/5): Not recommended - The staff was extremely rude and even refused to greet or communicate. The ground floor felt like a basement. While the room appeared clean, the refrigerator and coffee pot were practically unusable. Most importantly, the attitude of the front desk staff was highly problematic. I came here because of the high ratings, but I would not recommend this place.

- Stephanie (4/5): - I booked a room for my brother, myself, and my two nephews for Saturday. I wanted to pay ahead so that it was an easy check in, so I called ahead on Thursday. The staff member I spoke with over the phone informed me that my card would be charged on the Friday for the cost of the room, which it was. However, when I arrived on Saturday, I was told I had to pay an additional $200 deposit on top of what I'd already paid. The concierge was incredibly unwelcoming and unsympathetic to the situation. Fortunately, I was refunded (still waiting for the money to go back on my card but that's due to my bank) and we were able to use another credit card to pay for the room. There's also no breakfast included and I wasn't informed by the concierge what time breakfast ended. They just said we could eat in the restaurant. The hospitality staff were the nicest staff members we interacted with in the entire hotel. They stayed open late and offered to serve us breakfast as long as we ordered quickly. The concierge in the morning was more accomodating, allowing us a late checkout, but still not friendly. I didn't feel welcomed at the Visitors Inn and I would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone else. I also didn't love staring at a United States of America flag that was posted outside my window.

- Dorothy (10/5): Gem of a hotel - What a gem of a hotel! We were on a road trip and wanted a hotel near Toronto. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Every employee was pleasant and welcoming. Our room was super clean and the bathroom was nicely updated. We used the pool and hot tub both nights, both clean and well cared for. From the clean hallways, stairways to the restaurant and parking lot, you can tell that the owners take great pride in this hotel.

- Aleshia (10/5): - This was my first time staying at Visitors Inn, and all the staff were super friendly. The room was super clean and the bed was very comfortable. It was nice to have a room on the bottom floor where I could unload right at my door. I was worried about the noise from the highway, but it was super quiet. I decided to stay in and order diner from the restaurant and it was amazing. The young lady that was working was friendly and she mentioned that her mom was the cook. I took my food back to my room and was so good. I could tell that she she cooks with passion. My chicken fettuccine was cooked to perfection. I will definitely stay here again when travelling back and forth from Nunavut to New York.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Callous , harsh reception - Front desk employee refused to check my daughter in at 8pm at night because she did not have a personsl credit card. ..would not accept her VisaDebit card. The reservation was made by me on my card for her. This was the reception they got after driving 5 hours to Hamilton from Sudbury for their son's surgery at 6:30 a.m. at McMaster children's hospital the following morning. I eventually convinced the desk person to process the reservation on my card as was planned. We will not use this hotel again...
