La chasse d’eau de la salle de bain ne fonctionnait pas, le monsieur est venu « la réparer » en vain. L’eau de la douche pas assez chaude. Le bruit. La température froide de la chambre sans chauffage. (Malgré les couvertures fournies)

Σαν ξενοδοχείο είναι λίγο παλιό, θα μπορούσε να γίνει μια μικρή ανακαίνιση κ θα ήταν υπέροχο, όπως κ το air-conditioning ήθελε πολύ ώρα για να ψυχράνει, λόγω παλαιότητας. Τέλος το πρωινό θα μπορούσε να είναι και καλύτερο.

A kettle would have been handy in our room & a shower riser rail is needed in the bathroom, as it is difficult to shower with one hand especially if you're washing uour hair.

Nice setting for breakfast in the lovely garden court yard. It was great to have a lift for our bags. A nice large balcony overlooking the garden courtyard. Having a fridge was good. I feel the linen on bed was a little thin and there was no mattress protector. The heat pump was rather old and we couldn’t see what the temperature was. It seemed to turn itself off as soon as we opened the balcony door.

With some upgrades (investing in newer, softer pillows and better mattresses) this could easily become an incredible small hotel. Breakfast is provided and is basic (for those who commented), but it has a great selection to keep you full until lunch. Room is spotless and cleaned daily, and staff is lovely. Overall, a nice experience and would probably stay again.

Le stanze sono spaziose e confortevoli e fornite di ampi balconi. Buona la prima colazione. Alcuni semplici interventi (per esempio l'installazione di una cabina doccia al posto della tendina; un piccolo stendibiancheria) renderebbero ancora più comodo il soggiorno. Ma si tratta di piccoli difetti che non modificano il giudizio ampiamente positivo.

• Susan (10/5): Relaxed, renewed, wide-open space - Flisvos is located right above the beach: water, breakwater, restaurant outdoor seating, pedestrian promenade with really appealing mosaics and statuary, then the hotel with clean, newly refurbished rooms. Breakfast is in the lobby with plenty of seating in a very clean, comfortable, well-lit space. For me, the best thing about this hotel is its resilience: Sitia was hit by a huge storm six months before our visit, and the storm surge engulfed Flisvos under two meters of water. The whole town's recovery has been remarkable. Now it's a renewed, laid-back, expansive space that's easy to relax in. If your goal is a more relaxed vibe than Heraklion, Rethymno, or Chania, Flisvos and Sitia are a great choice. The only thing that's slightly noticeable about Flisvos and Sitia was that we stayed there after the big storm but before the tourist season. There was an air of uncertainty: Will tourists come back?

The lower priced rooms are a bit dated, but clean and functional. This is not a criticism just for info, if you like a hard bed, great, if not this place isn't for you.

• DarylJ552 (6/5): GOOD PLACE TO STAY ON HARBOR IN SITIA - We had a reservation in Sitia but it was in a difficult to drive area on the side of a hill away from the harbor and restaurants so we found The Hotel Flisvos. It was on the harbor and there was a nice restaurant just across the street. The room was small and a little old but it was ok. The woman at the desk was very nice and told us where we could park right behind the building. The internet didn't work on our floor but we could do without it for one night. The room only cost 50 Euros and included breakfast.

We booked a 1 night stay in Sitia group with 46 people,every room was a big disapointment, the rooms,bed and sheets where very cold, even the airconditon on full all night long did not warm the room at all ,in other rooms the aircondition didnt work at all. The beds,pillow uncomfortable ,the tv was little bigger than my telephone,remote control didnt worked. Small space for having a shower,showerhead broken,after showering water all arround the bathroom. No wifi in the rooms ,Very,very poor breakfast.very small space having ''breakfast'' not enough chairs and tables. The location was good but... Never again !!!!!

• 842robinw (10/5): WINTER? What winter? - Many hotels all over the island decide to shut down during the winter, so to find one that is not only open, but exceptionally good is a rare treat. It was a birthday break, as Sitia has it's very own charm and is restful, but judging from the number of restaurants and tavernas that were open it is hard to understand. But Flisvos is perfect. Attentive staff for a start, a small but dedicated car park to the rear of the two buildings, and right on the harbour front. When you say sea-front it usually means 100 - 200 metres away, not this time, more like 20 feet before you could fall into the sea. The room at the front are spacious and well appointed. Central heating, fridge, television, telephone and safe b ox all come at no extra charge. Then there is breakfast. Well having travelled around more than a good amount, this has to be one of the best value for money treats you could have. OK - cereals, breads and rolls, meat, cheese, fresh fruit, eggs, pastries and cakes as well as biscuits. If you are still hungry you have a problem!! This is provided every day of the year. Teas and coffee and fruit juice round it all off - what more could you ask for. You can have this in the small courtyard or comfortable seating inside depending on the weather. One last advice - ask for their best rates, especially in the winter!!! Only one down-beat remark - when we were there Wifi was patchy at best. None working upstairs, but reception did have a signal of sorts - but they are working on it.
• car0le3 (10/5): We enjoyed sitia as it was a great place and a good base to visit different beaches. - The location was fantastic and we had a beautiful view from our room. Breakfast was good and served in a lovely outside setting. The staff were really friendly and helpful with all our numerous questions and the room was spotless.
• Maggie (8/5): Convenient for Onward Travel - We stayed one night having arrived by bus from Heraklion at 10.30pm. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable. The hotel is on the front and centrally located so convenient for late night tavernas and morning shopping.
• liandm (8/5): Good location - This is very good located hotel/ reasonable price. Breakfast is very easy. just few things but ok. rooms are good size. if you stay to the front side rooms have good view to the sea. many restaurants just near the hotel. Sitia is small but lovely city and this hotel is good place to stay.
• nefelik2013 (6/5): not satisfied - We spend 4 days in the hotel in a business trip. During this time no one came to clean the rooms. They didnt made the beds nor change the towels. The breakfast was very poor, with a very bad coffee. they only had nice croissants.They didnt had a lift from the garage to the rooms, only stairs and no one came to help us carry our bags.
• CupcakeSue (6/5): One night only! - We were only booked in at this hotel for one night, and unfortunately had a small double bed with a mattress that felt like it had bones sticking out of it and an ill fitting bottom sheet.....a very poor nights sleep. However the rest of the hotel was satisfactory.
• CreteCardiff (8/5): Excelent location - Stayed here for 2 nights in January. The room was very nicely furnished, beds very comfortable. I was suprised to see it was only rated 3 star, because the quality of the curtains, bedding and furniture was way above the norm in Greece for 3 star. I do agree the extractor in the bathroom was loud, but so what, chill out this is Greece. We opted out of the breakfast because we like to have our own timetable for everything when on holiday and not be dictated to by scheduled mealtimes. It was in a perfect place, right on the harbour, by the shops, restaurants and beach, and with direct access by car both in and out of the city without getting lost in the narrow streets. Room and corridors spotless, would definately stay again.
• liakouri (8/5): EXCELLENT CHOICE - Stayed there for 1 week. Very dicent 3 star hotel. Great value for money. The room was quite large and so was the bathroom. Water pressure no problem. The room was cleaned daily. The staff was polite and helped with any of our small requests or questions. The hotel is situated at the end of the costal road which turns to pedestrian road so no really noise. All the cafes and bars are whithin 5 min walk. Would gladly stay there again. Totally recommended.
• worldwoman (8/5): It Isn't the Ritz - We enjoyed our stay in the Flisvos Hotel, Sitia. We stayed in November, definitely the off-season. Even with the heater the room was cool. We had a seaview room in the front and it was more than adequate. We could watch the harbor activity. The breakfast and parking were included in the 40e rate. Wireless was available free. The location was excellent - in the center of town and activity. The hotel staff was excellent and provided good restaurant recommendations.
• Scribe1941 (8/5): Well recieved - We had a planned trip to Zakynthos cancelled, and decided to travel to Sitia for a few days instead. We had no hotel booked, but found the Flisvos on the beach front. From entering and asked about room nothing other than helpfulness. We asked to see the room, escorted there, and decided it was good value. Asked about breakfast and car parking, both were offered in the price which was discounted on request. The rooms were well appointed, quite and comfortable. There was internet access throughout the hotel, and with no charge either for air-con it was excellent. Maid service was first class. The hotel is split in two buildings, and we had room at the one furthest away from the beach, which would certainly been quieter during high-season. Position of the hotel was excellent with plenty of sights and places to eat in a short distance. If we asked at reception for any guidance, it was given in good spirit and breakfast was a typical continental style, and plenty of choice. All round the hotel was well worth the money and excellent staff to ensure the stay was nothing other than memorable.
• gilchalm (6/5): Adequate - but nothing special - Stayed here for three nights in mid-May. The hotel is fairly basic and rooms not generous in size (furnishings reminded me of student-type accommodation). However, they were clean, the beds (small) were comfortable, and the plumbing worked. Daily maid service was satisfactory. Reception staff could have been a bit more cheerful. Continental breakfast was predictable and OK.. The hotel is well located by the harbour in Sitia, close to many restaurants and bars. Our rooms overlooked the front, and apart from wheelie-bin collection at 7am on the Monday, we were undisturbed by noise. The hotel has a very small carpark to the rear, but there are public ones closeby. Not sure how safe cars would be if left the public ones. For car rental Minoan Tours car rental office is right next door to the Flisvos, and Michael was very helpful(and good price). Since we were out all day and only returning to the hotel to sleep, it was adequate, if not memorable.
• djcarlos2001 (8/5): Ideal location - My husband and I stayed here during our honeymoon. The hotel is on the doorstep of the resort centre and beach but we were not troubled by noise at night Our room was clean and pleasant, our only complaint was that we were accomodated in a twin room having specifically requested a double. Breakfast was buffet style and pleantiful and we were even supplied with a take-away breakfast on our last morning as we had to leave early. Staff were warm and responsive in manner There is no pool but as the beach is just opposite this was not a problem
• anomymous919 (8/5): Excellent - The hotel is very conveniently located in the centre of Sitia near restaurants and cafes. There are two buildings, one with a view of the sea which can be rather noisy, as it overlooks the main street, and one behind which is considerably quiter - I suggest the latter if you have a choice. The two buildings are separated by a delightful garden which serves as the breakfast area as well. Quite charming. My room was rather large and contained all the basic amenities one would expect (local TV, A/C, fridge and safe). The bathroom was on the small side, and there was a shower rather than a bathtub. However, it was very clean and towels were changed on a daily basis. There was no internet access, but an internet cafe is situated just round the corner, so that's not a big problem. There was also a surprisingly large balcony, with a view of the garden area. The service was extremely friendly without lacking in professionalism. Check in and check out were efficient, and they were very helful in pointing out places to eat (and which restaurants to avoid). As I was visiting in a 'low' season, I managed to get a remarkably low rate (35 Euros per day). Considering the standard of the hotel services, this made excellent value for money.
