Guest Reviews
- Asi Cüneyt (8/5): A peaceful, warm, and beautiful stay in the heart of Ubud. 💛 - The location was perfect. Even though the hotel is very close to the center of Ubud, cafés, and restaurants, once you enter the property it suddenly becomes peaceful and quiet. The garden is beautiful and feels like a small retreat sanctuary. I really enjoyed spending time on my balcony. Also, being right next to The Yoga Barn was a huge advantage for me. Ati and the whole team were incredibly warm, kind, and helpful. Honestly, everything was very nice for me. I did not have any negative experience during my stay.

- Olivier (8/5): Nice central hotel. A bit outdated but do the job. - Big clean room with confy bed, working AC and good wifi. Plenty of hot water. Cheap and centrally located. It's indeed a bit outdated but for 500.000 Idr a night, it's still a good place. It was not possible to close the bathtub or some lights not working..
- Anders (7/5): -
- Devi (8/5): Satisfying - The Spacious room, the balcony and the garden surrounding the property The property is a bit old. But still in good condition. It must be really good in its golden days.

The Personal is freindly.
The room is big , but dark. Very old Equipment, Shower Almosen Not working. The Swimmingpool Pool watter is not clear! You dont see the floor!

- Angus (8/5): We would stay again due to the location and staff but some small touches to bring it up to great! - A great location near the yoga barn where we were doing yoga, The staff were very friendly and the room was large and clean. TI enjoyed the pool and gardens but better sunbeds would make a difference to the feel of the area. We were used to eating healthy food and found the breakfast to be the only aspect that let the stay down as we decided after trying it once not to have breakfast there again as it was very plain compared to other places we have stayed..The bath was great but had some chips out of the enamel which would be nice to see fixed up.
- Delia Almeida (8/5): Puri Padi, um hotel muito central com boa relação qualidade preço. - O Staf do hotel é muito atencioso. O hotel já merecia uma renovação.
- Małgorzata (10/5): -
- Lukasz (8/5): Kilkudniowy przystanek na zwiedzanie Ubud i praktykę jogi - Bardzo miła i pomocna obsługa. Ciche pokoje w centrum miasta. Ubogie śniadania
- Aimee (9/5): - Incredibly spacious, green grounds with a large swimming pool in a great central location. The grounds stretch all the way from the road back to the Yoga Barn, with all rooms set well back from the road so are incredibly quiet. Nice Balinese furniture and art in rooms. Not many plug sockets in room. Some areas could do with renovation, although that's also part of its charm.
- Jont (9/5): Great value - Great location, nice garden, big room with balcony, close to restaurants and popular supermarket; beautiful pool Rooms show signs of aging.
- Rosemary (9/5): - Lovely gardens, friendly staff, fresh made breakfast, great location, near lots of restaurants

- Anita (10/5): Clean, central, affordable - This property is really nice for the value with incredible staff. The location is close to all the restaurants ,shops, spas, and is easily walkable. It’s literally attached to Yoga barn.
- Phillip (7/5): Not good value for money - Location is great. Staff friendly First night, I had good audio of the argument in the next room and noisy aircon as well.
2nd night ear plugs helped dull the aircon noise.
Included breakfast quite modest. Could not even get fresh milk for the tea and coffee
- Consthandivine (8/5): Very good -
- Gosia (7/5): Good -
- Silvia (7/5): Good stay and value for money, would stay again - Great location in Ubud, not in the busiest part but only a few minutes walk from it
Close to The Yoga Barn
Friendly staff
A bit dated but ok Pool area could be improved,
Untidy and no decent sun loungers
- Shirin (1/5): A Soulless Hotel and a Sad Experience Our stay began with the jarring noise of ongoing construction—hardly a warm welco - Location was good A Soulless Hotel and a Sad Experience
Our stay began with the jarring noise of ongoing construction—hardly a warm welcome.
The pool area was messy and cluttered, with workers and helpers loitering nearby, smoking, resting, and generally invading any sense of privacy.
There was no safe in the room—which is surprising for accommodation located right in the city centre.
More than ten men were loitering around the lobby most of the time. They seemed to be workers, but they weren’t hotel staff.
There was no phone in the room. If you needed anything, you had to walk down to reception.
Breakfast was a disappointment—somehow they managed to ruin eggs and coffee.
Reception staff were extremely unpresentable. No one spoke English (which is understandable, but where was the usual Indonesian warmth and hospitality?).
There was no bottled drinking water provided in the room. It was tab water.
Cleaners left dirty cutlery behind. So what did they clean?
The fridge didn’t work—not even enough to chill a bottle of water.
To top it all off, the cleaners didn’t turn the air conditioning back on. We returned to sweltering, hot rooms.
- Piper (10/5): Exceptional - Great location clean rooms amazing staff and beautiful property . We will definitely be back again! Thanks so much
- Robyn (8/5): Very good -
- Mason (3/5): Poor - Was listed as a double bed and one single got there to 2 single beds so had 2 adults in 1 bed and child in one and they didn't seem see the isuue
- Serra (9/5): Superb - Good location, spacious room, nice balcony, beautiful gardens, quiet Breakfast was limited but good
- Vishal (6/5): It was ok. - Location close to food market No phone, no room service, smelly bathroom
- Shivanee (7/5): Next to yoga barn and staff is polite - Nice location Breakfast could be better
- Gail (8/5): Great - Location Liked everything
- Jade (8/5): Great location! - The room had some real Balinese charm and the pool was really beautiful. The staff was really friendly and attentive. The location is really good, loads of good restaurants are walking distance, the yoga barn is just next door and the monkey forest is a short walk away. The pool needs a little more attention in terms of cleaning and it would be nice if there were pool towels.
- Rebecca (7/5): Such great value for money. Would recommend for that price point. - Lovely grounds and balcony. Excellent location and staff. Excellent value for money. Bit dated, especially the bathroom.
- Dr (8/5): Beautiful gem at prime location - The hotel is so quiet but at prime location. 2 minutes walk to yoga barn, or basically just a wall apart. The room is big and love the balcony. It was a well build hotel with marble floor and bathroom worktop. The wood carving on the doors are beautiful. The hotel is looking tired especially the bathroom. However it is so well build, I hope they make a good upgrade in future without throwing away the traditional features.
- Colleen (8/5): Well worth it. - Very close to the Yoga Barn. Great location. Peaceful. Roomy. Good pool. Friendly staff.
- Kate (8/5): Very good -
- Dean (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kirsty (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maria (10/5): Excellent. - Super location. Everything 10 /10. Clean and kind staff. Shower could be newer, but over all everything good.
- Carolyn (8/5): Very good -
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kirsten (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location, peaceful and lovely facilities, beautiful gardens No outlets by the bed
- Otavio (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kate (8/5): Great location, super clean authentic Balinese hotel. Thank you. - The gardens and general Bali was ambience was a delight. Everything was great and authentic - I would have had breakfast but you didn’t have any fresh coffee - I would recommend you buy a coffee filter to offer fresh coffee for breakfast. This is only feedback and not a complaint as I loved my stay.
- Madhu (9/5): Superb -
- Milind (7/5): Good -
- Serik (6/5): Good stay for 4 nights - Location of hotel is nearby tourists destinations. Good hotel for short stay Noisy A/C

- Lianglei (10/5): Great - Very close to yoga barn
Nice pool More twin rooms
- Ken (7/5): Good -
- Pearce (8/5): Lovely spot. Central Ubud and excellent vslue - Incredible spot. Right on the Ubud high street. Lovely sized room, pool, great breakfast. Very friendly staff Nothing really. It was well priced and really enjoyable
- Emre (9/5): Quiet, central with friendly staff - A silent neighbourhood with lots of flowers&trees in the garden. We woke up with dove's and other bird's songs in the morning. Very near to the monkey forest and also to the Ubud center/the main palace by foot.
A basic but tastefull breakfast.
The staff was friendly &helpfull and helped us to find proper driver for our daily trips.
Hotel spa was good as well.
Note: bathrooms may need some renovation.
- X (10/5): Exceptional -
- Somalia (10/5): Convenient and great staff -
- Harlem (7/5): Good -
- Morozov (7/5): Location is perfect, but condition of room was so poor - location was perfect, not far away from center of Ubud and monkey forest, supermarket was closed by, everyday cleaning and towel was changed, stuff was friendly and always ready to help, balcony was big and usefull, there was rail for wet clothes furniture was old and used, canopy with holes and dusty, no safe in the room, no tv
- Joyce (8/5): Few days in ubud - The lovely gardens and the location The staff were very helpful and willing to help with any problems . Lots of restaurants and shops nearby.Pool was also lovely to cool off in the heat. Nice to have balcony for a private space No hairdryer in room but could be borrowed from reception and safe also only available at reception . WiFi was difficult to access but good from reception area
- Gupta (8/5): Good for family - Location , staff service I want to extend but still they booked even we inform them before
- Volodymyr (3/5): Poor - Location Very old and dirty bathroom with mold.
Pool was with mold as well.
Hotel needs renovation.
- Pablo (7/5): A beautiful hotel in the center of Ubud - Friendliness of the staff. I love balinese people. They treat you like home.
Great location.
Beautiful hotel.
Big rooms.
Slippers are valuable. The rooms need some maintenance/refurbishment. It's getting old. Doors and windows didn't close well. Apart from that, a/c gave some problems, like watering the room's floor (that was gently solved by the staff there day after).
Breakfast is a bit poor. They kindly try, but there's not much of a choice.
Quite expensive for what it was.
The bathroom has not a closed window so mosquitoes get in.
- Awais (8/5): Good - Best location friendly staff peace full place . They seriously need to upgrade there toilets taps & tubs & change the room furniture.
- Langmaid (10/5): A comfortable stay, memorable for sitting on the terrace, watching the geckos and enjoying the view. - Great vibe to the room, and the terrace was beautiful with carved wooden doorway, artwork and lovely garden view. Hotel staff were exceptionally helpful, pleasant and kind. The lobby is historic and beautiful, very traditional. Excellent location from which to explore. Pool in pleasant surroundings. Lighting and layout of the bathroom could have been better, but everything was functional.
- Jack (5/5): Passable -
- Mais (8/5): Very good -
- Antje (8/5): All good! - Nice pool, nice staff. It’s on a busy street, but you don’t hear anything. Houses could use a (cosmetic) refresh. Internet is not great
- Silva (5/5): Passable - The location was vwry good The room was old
- Paula (7/5): Good - Staff were fabulous
- Andrew (8/5): Loved our time at Puri Pari. - Amazing location (prime spot) and super nice staff. Ubud has really gone up a few levels nowadays. Couldn’t fault the hotel for balance of price and level of amenities. Would definitely stay there again, our three kids loved it too. Some may find it older style but we love that about Balinese style hotels.
- Kulsoom (8/5): For short stay - Its location is amazing. Staff is very accommodating A bit old furniture and wifi isn’t good
- Alexia (10/5): Thank you - Clean, comfortable, spacious room in beautiful surroundings. Friendly helpful staff.
- Emma (7/5): Good -
- Indahwati (8/5): Very good - Clean, artistik, nature, great garden, but need to change some of old things, great staff Old things need to change
- Emma (8/5): Excellent stay would recommend to anyone - Very clean, staff were lovely and the location was great close to everything One of the rooms had a musty smell but the staff were very accommodating and happy to switch us to a different room which was great
- Joanna (10/5): This is where I will now choose to stay - excellent location and very friendly, accommodating staff. - Fantastic location, beautiful friendly staff.
- Firatli (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kulsoom (7/5): Perfect for 1 or 2 day stay - The location is right by the center. Overall it’s good only the bathroom needs renovation
- Lisa (7/5): Clean comfort at budget prices - good location / helpful staff - Beautiful traditional property with lots of greenery, and a very comfortable bed. Great location, quiet and central. The bathroom could do with a renovation and one needs power points near to a mirror to do hair. The toilet constantly ran and the shower took some work to get to the right, constant temperature. All bearable but would definitely consider updating for comfort.
- Kundan (10/5): Exceptional - Food locations and room
- Kundan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joanne (9/5): Superb -
- Stephen (3/5): Poor - The location was good, close to the centre so it didn't take us long to walk in.
The grounds of the hotel were nice and well maintained. The room was dirty, there were dead bugs everywhere, cobwebs etc. The shower head was full of limescale. Mosquitos in the room, which I know can't be helped but the missing glass in the bathroom window didn't help so we ended up getting bitten everywhere. They also tried to charge us more money when we checked out than what was agreed when booking, however this was sorted.
- Billingsley (7/5): Good -
- Gail (8/5): Very good - Convience to yoga barn Nothing
