- Rabalais (9/5): Superb -
- HAI (10/5): - Great location!!! right snack in the middle of restaurants, stores and the hospital if needed. Everything is here
- Deborah (9/5): Nice property. Will stay again! - Breakfast was good, nice selection of foods. Cute cat lived there & it was very well taken care of. Staff very nice & professional. The location was centrally located to the area. Safe area. The pillows were terrible. Lumpy . Mattress very soft. Not my preference but not bad.
- Jesus (10/5): - Clean
- Gregory (10/5): - Nice place
- Jennifer (9/5): Superb - Location I had to change rooms. TV didn't work well. Breakfast was not great...
- Anthony (8/5): Very good -
- Kristen (10/5): We purchased an Airbnb for a couple days to visit family and we had to leave because the place had an issue and we had n - A lot of amenities, extremely clean, and very pretty! N/A
- amyw2012 (8/5): A Solid Hotel - Our room was clean and spacious. They had free parking, and we enjoyed the included breakfast. We especially enjoyed the waffles. Our room had a table, kitchenette, and a laundry basket. It is always incredibly helpful to have 2 sinks. It was overall a solid hotel.
- Rhonda (10/5): - You can smell people smoking from the room next door
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional - The clean room, complimentary breakfast, good location The price has increased quite a bit and I am a repeat customer with AARP
- ksheff-travel (6/5): A few mis-steps - Check-in was pleasant but the clerk spoke my room number aloud - which is a major error and I would have had an issue with it, but I was the only guest in the lobby. I asked for and was given a late checkout due to changing circumstances with my next day's travel.
I went to get ice, but the machine on the 4th floor wasn't working. An employee was nearby so I asked if she knew it was broken (no) and she offered to bring me some. I said that wasn't necessary, so we took the elevator down to the 3rd floor. She held the elevator for me, but that ice machine was also out of order. The 2nd floor ice machine worked. Either other guests haven't reported this, they aren't a priority to be fixed or the service technician is overbooked.
I like the room layout and full kitchen with drip coffeemaker. After breakfast the next day, I double-checked with the front desk that my late checkout was noted and was told that yes, they were aware, but the housekeepers had not been told, so he texted to alert the supervisor. Hmm, so just half the task was completed and I luckily avoided the irritation of housekeeping pounding on my door at 11am. I didn't think it was appropriate that three employees were discussing former employees and work topics in the breakfast area for guests to hear.
- Martha (10/5): - This property seemed pretty new. Everyone was very friendly. Stores and a variety of places to eat were nearby along with a mall, Wal-Mart and Target. I will definitely return.
- Jennifer (9/5): Superb -
- Traveler07Florida (6/5): One time only stay - We stay in Port Arthur twice a year as we travel through the state. On this stay our favorite Marriott was not available and so we chose TownPlace Suites. The front desk staff was very nice and efficient. Upon walking into our room (vinyl floor in kitchenette and adjoining bathroom) the floor was very, very sticky. Annoyingly sticky. Before doing any unpacking I took a wet towel to mop the floor. It was TOTALLY disgusting. Disgusting to the point I didn’t trust being barefooted on carpet or vinyl. While the rest of the room appeared average, the floor experience ruined my ability to rest and relax. Upon checking out I reported the issue to the front desk who called a second office person over to see the pictures. They offered only an apology. This is not the expected cleanliness of a Marriott property that I am accustomed to after being a member for 30+ years and with COVID still being alive and well it makes me question their overall cleanliness.
- Carlos A (8/5): Great stay - Great location, friendly staff, good breakfast.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Perfect for a business trip.
- Pamela (10/5): - Relaxing quiet place. Will stay again
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great hotel - Hotel was centrally located for everything we did. The room was clean and quiet. The breakfast was okay. It consisted of a biscuit sandwich, fruit, juice, coffee, etc... Everything prepackaged. Staff was very attentive. We didn't use the pool so can't comment on that.
- 399JohnB (8/5): Clean and bit disappointed. - Hotel was fine and clean but the front desk personnel who checked us in stated that they were having issues with their key card and was unsure if certain keys would work to your room. Unfortunately they did not and we called down to front desk to inquire if we could get another room that the key card would work and was denied. A gentleman came to our room to inquire if we were through with our cart as we were contemplating leaving the facility to go elsewhere as they stated we would have to have hotel personnel to allow us into our room each time we left. He wanted us to wait and see if he could get us another room. Immediately the front office manager came to our room and said she had found another room that the key card would work and we could move to that room. It was a bigger room and the key card worked. Overall the hotel was very clean and our stay was okay. I don't know very many people who would allow the only way to get into your room was to call hotel personnel.
- Megan (8/5): - The room was great! We checked in late. No on
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff was super nice. Room was nice, clean and had a nice kitchen. Would stay again!
- jaymit2021 (10/5): Great Staff - Just stayed at this location last week and the staff here were amazing! From the Front Desk Supervisor Barbara to the staff, they were so nice and helpfully. On the day of our check out my daughters and I were u getting ready for a funeral, we missed breakfast but the front desk worker Carissa was nice enough to go and get my girls something to eat. Thank you Barbara and Carissa for everything! My family and I greatly appreciate yall!
- O4344SYdavidr (10/5): Nice hotel mini suites - Single King room. Not to big not to small. Full kitchen (small appliance's). But worked out great. Sofa bed if need. Great location. Food entertainment within walking distance. Next time in the area I will return to this location.
- barbus55 (8/5): Here for over 2 weeks - Very professional, courteous and efficient staff. Check in was the best- thanks to Zoe. Room was the nicest we’ve stayed within Towne Place Suites hotels. Would be a 5 star except beds are too hard for me. Didn’t sleep well. BUT room was quiet, clean and well appointed. This hotel is definitely an example for the other Marriotts to follow.
We picked this one after looking at the condition of the Marriott Courtyard and Fairfield Inn which both had not been updated in years- example for both of those hotels: mold on top floor screens etc. Towne Place was spotless place was spotless. Great job by management.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great staff and property. Clean great continental breakfast
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Room has 2 burner cooktop, if needed for long term stay. Kitchen equipped as the Residence Inn.
- twistedwheelnut (8/5): Very comfortable - I've stayed in a lot of Marriotts, but i think this was my first time in a TownePlace suites. The room was a good size. The kitchen area was very well equipped, with a full size fridge-freezer, pots, utensils, huge microwave oven and a two-ring hob. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was included in the price and was okay. Staff were extremely helpful. I'd be very happy to stay here again.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I was charged 110 TWICE for my stay! I am very upset at having my money STOLEN!!!!
- Scottie (10/5): Great place , great staff - Excellent in every way
- Verified traveler (10/5): Money well spent - It was an overall good experience. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. They also serve breakfast from 6 to 9 am. They serve your usual waffles, eggs, sausage or bacon. They also have yogurt, bagels, toast, etc. The receptionist was very nice and accomodating.
- Dwan (10/5): - It’s always a great stay here. But this time they charged me twice I payed on Hotels.com and then I noticed in my account the hotel charged me too
- Anita (10/5): - Love this place! I’ve actually lived here for 3 months last year and plan on staying another full week in December.
- Debbie (10/5): - This is by far the best hotel experience I've had during all my trips to the Beaumont/Port Arthur area. The hotel staff was incredibly friendly, professional, and accommodating. My flight to Houston arrived hours earlier which meant arriving at the hotel three hours prior to check-in, the front desk staff had my room ready in minutes which was amazing. The hotel itself is very nice and modern. The rooms are huge, very clean, and very pretty. They have a small kitchen with a full fridge, stove, microwave, sink, plates, cutlery, etc...plus you can borrow other small appliances downstairs. This was a fantastic experience and I will definitely use this hotel from now on instead of the Marriott Courtyard or the Hilton.
- Terry (10/5): Pleasant and efficient hotel stay - This hotel is simple and efficient.
Breakfast was good!
Hotel staff helpful
- Kathy (10/5): Just Right - Very comfortable and homey. Our first time in the area and it was very enjoyable.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Clean, comfortable & location can't be beat! - Great location near Central Mall. The room was very clean and bed comfortable. Will stay there again
- 1207tadarbo (10/5): Great place! - Very nice place.
The room was cool in temp when we walked in!
It was very clean!
Modern in decor.
Room is really great for work...with a desk and other amenities to make working comfortable.
The shower is great!
Storage great!
Little kitchen is nice!
Staff was very nice and allowed us a hour late checkout.
I’ll definitely stay here again!
Cheers!
- Verified traveler (8/5): One week stay - Very friendly and helpful staff, nice clean property, good breakfast included in rate, housekeeping was a bit spotty some days (no new towels or coffee one day, and no soap, shampoo or spare roll of TP another day) and was just fine other days. Nice pool, consistent wi-fi. Well stocked kitchen.
- Kruzin_Kat69 (10/5): Last minute thing - After having some damage to my home due to Hurricane Harvey...the contractors left my bathroom disconnected and in shambles. It is the only bathroom in the house. We decided at 10:30pm to get a room. This was the only hotel with availability where my family would be able to sleep comfortably. Check in was very quick and the woman at the counter was so friendly and sweet. Each room had climate control. My kids like it warmer than I do so this was definitely a plus. Breakfast was delicious and fresh. Everyone was so friendly in the morning as well. Definitely will be back when we need it, even if it is for a staycation.
- reinrein2018 (10/5): Good location, nice front desk - Conveniently located next to the highway, good for a stop for the road trip. Front desk had been very nice to upgrade the room to 1 bedroom for the elite status. Good breakfast food selections for the kids.
- Viveca (10/5): Plenty of parking - Many good restaurants within walking distance. Quiet area.
- Lisa and Marty Lane (10/5): - We were there for 1 night and everything was clean and such a great room with everything you need. We were impressed how well the rooms we made for anyone to stay for personal or If your on business trips. We will definitely stay there again.
- 56193Mph (8/5): Decent Place, might be best find in PA - Has Marriott feel of being clean and orderly. Staff was warm and trained well. Facility nice and maintained well. Nice pool area too. Basic facility without a lt of frills, yet, good breakfast in mornings
- Laura (10/5): - Overall, Great. Good breakfast, very clean place, friendly staff, good location.
- S3808TOrobertw (8/5): Quick stop - In Port Arthur/Beaumont for sales calls. Checked TripAdvisor and it showed most hotels that I normally use had no room.Onachancw I walked in and got a room at a great rate. Good value. Good internet connection and comp breakfast. Ample parking. Will definitely stay here again.
- jaymN806BZ (10/5): 5 STAR 🌟 🌟 Property - I recently stayed at Towneplace Suites by Marriott in Port Arthur Texas. I must say that this property gained a true 5 Star rating from me.
I am a Task Force Manager with an online vacation rental company. I usually stay in one of our properties but we were sold out. I decided to stay with Towneplace Suites. Best Decision!!! This property has great Customer Service from the FRONT DESK to the Housekeeping Staff. I entered my room and as normal I did a though inspection of my room. The room had fresh sheets, clean linen, everything from the pots to tableware was in its proper place. I checked each pillow and the mattress and everything was clean and ready for me to use. I reccommand this property to anyone who is traveling for business or pleasure. The breakfast was hot and prepared as one would think. Coffee, juices, milk, breads, eggs and proteins. This property will be visited again by me. I hope the property knows that I have very strict inspections with my own properties and I give you kudos for an A-1 property from Cleanliness to Customer Service. Keep up the great work and I will be back to visit.
- 925amalp (10/5): Great Location & Hotel! - Friendly staff, and nice location. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The breakfast that is included in the rate has a nice selection for vegetarians (although some items are kept near meat, such as the cheese near eggs). Even though breakfast is posted to begin at 6am, it is out and ready by 5am.
I never have had a bad experience here and it is my 4th time coming back. Will continue to come as long as my job allows me to.
The location is great. The speed limit is 75 mph on US-289/69, so if you're working in Beaumont, you can get there in 10 minutes. If you're working in Port Arthur, even better!
- Voyager746193 (10/5): HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! - This is a wonderful place to stay. The rooms are beautiful, clean, and have everything you need. The staff is great, at the front desk they are friendly, and go out of their way to make you comfortable. The housekeeping takes care of your rooms very well. This is the best place I've ever stayed, I highly recommend it. If I need a hotel in the area this is the only one I'll go to now.
- David (6/5): Practical, pragmatic, highly useful. expensive - Clean, quiet, centrally located, super-expensive. Stated nearly 2 weeks, worked out great for me. Sure was expensive, did I mention that? Also, I never could get the wi-fi to work - never got to the bottom of that.
- 613ChrisB613 (8/5): Convenient Location - Had to stay the night in Beaumont, and many hotels were booked. This was available a few miles south. It is convenient to get to from the highway, and was a quick return to Beaumont in the morning. The hotel is walking distance to a SaltGrass Steakhouse and a Cheddars. The bed was super comfortable and gave me a really good rest. Breakfast at 7:00s was plentiful and not crowded. It starts super early (5:30?) for the morning people. Only down side was some construction noise next door started early.
- dpayne04 (8/5): Business Trip - I stayed in this hotel for a full week. Nice hotel, clean and comfortable rooms. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located to nice restaurants
Only Problems- Room Refrigerator did not work.
The hotel served the same breakfast every day.
- tmdurham (10/5): Great Place! - We always stay at Towneplace when we go visit. We are from the area and love this hotel. Staff is super friendly and always treat us well. Rooms are always clean. Hotel is conveniently located to restaurants and shopping.
- futureking2017 (6/5): A Must Stay - My check in process was very quick, that is a plus! Raychel is helpful and prompt, she made my stay humorous and comfortable. The front desk agent Sandra was kind and sweet. The rooms were amazing and nice. Fresh towels everyday of my stay. I was not to happy with the breakfast at all. Everything was tasteless. The night worker Raegan seemed rude and apparently did not feel much like being at work. That was not at all hard to see. The General Manager was nice also and friendly. I will be returning to this hotel for my next stay in Port Arthur. Beats Beaumont traffic also.
- MJ (10/5): Great place - Great room, great price, great people. We arrived after the hurricane and flooding not sure what to expect. The hotel was not damaged and exceeded our expectations.
- Celeste (10/5): GREAT Place to stay - Amazing - they were very helpful with directions
- Amy (10/5): - I've stayed here a few times and find it a great place to stay!
- JM (6/5): Fees vs Deposit - Stay was good but overpriced with pet fee. Understood at booking it was to be a deposit for a pet but at the hotel it was a flat $100 fee. I had a very small dog that was house trained and left with no mess. Those with small pets who are unable to leave them behind should not be penalized the same. This should be a deposit and not a fee. It should be based on the condition you leave the room. I paid over $223.00 for one night stay.
- Geoffrey (10/5): Lovely base for Orange, Beaumont and Port Arthur - Room was large and well laid out. TV is smaller than some, but it did swivel and we actually did use the ability to look at it from two directions. Kitchen had full refrigerator and good storage space for food, unlike many. No oven. Two burner stove and microwave. Staff was pleasant and outgoing in trying to serve guests well.
- Geoffrey (10/5): Port Arthur Townplace Suites - We Came Back - Perfectly comfortable. Proper kitchen. Large bathroom.Smallish TV screen. Stayed one night on this trip and came back for three more. Home away from home. Top of the heap in its class.
- Richard (8/5): Trash in the barrel - Trash full from last occupant. Advised clerk, never emptied. But she did emphatically apologize :/
Notwithstanding the above, stayed at a HIE for business. Hated the room. Towneplace Suites, much, much nicer. The trash incident won't disuad me from future visits, but I won't tolerate inaction from staff.
- Steven (8/5): - There for one night, personal vist
- Anna (10/5): Awesome - It was amazing
- Verified traveler (10/5): PERFECT - Everything was excellent ....
Check in, nice room, clean and great breakfast.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great replacement when our first hotel was full - Great place to stay when your first hotel was overbooked.
- Dina (10/5): - Perfect for our family
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good but a little lazy - This is a good hotel with fairly clean rooms. I have a kid so I noticed things other might have missed. And the staff was friendly except for a manager that never gave me a call back. Other than that is was a nice hotel with friendly people.
- Beth (6/5): 1 night stop - We prepaid for hotel and they still charged us. This was after they commented at check in AND check out that they saw it was prepaid on Expedia. Was also told that the additional deposit was $10, it was $20. Was on the phone with them for 10 minutes when I called them to credit back our account, they couldn't find that we stayed there-even gave them room # and was the same day! Finally said our last name was spelled wrong. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable.
- Amy (8/5): Nice - The hotel is nice but it needs to communicate with the 3rd party holder. I was billed by the hotel and Expedia. Of course Expedia cleared the matter on their end the same day refund but the hotel it has taken longer then expected to receive my full refund.
- Rosetta (10/5): - GREAT COMFORT
- Travis (10/5): Very pleased with my stay. - The hotel was very nice and clean. Everything was very updated. The staff was very friendly. The only interaction I had with the front desk was check in and check out, but when I came to check out the next day, the lady at the front desk remembered my name right off the top of her head. The room has a spacious closet and lots of drawer space for anybody staying for longer periods of time. Room also had a nice fridge, dishwasher, cooktop, and a full size coffee pot. Very accommodating. Will stay at again.
- Joan (10/5): Nice and quite - It was all good and very restful. The room was clean.
Nice staff and the pool was perfect.
- Deborah (10/5): Super Nice ! - Down for a wedding...only stayed one night. Everything was great ! Enjoyed the continental breakfast also. Would definitely stay here again.
- Ignacio (6/5): Awful beds - Everything about the stay was great except for the bed. SUPER hard with minimal padding on top. It was comparable to throwing down a couple blankets and sleeping on a concrete floor.
- sarah m. (10/5): great place, clean - hotel was very clean, friendly accommodating staff. Quiet hotel was very clean and comfy beds
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel, bad breakfast experience - The hotel is very nice, great location, but the breakfast was not good, they kept running out of everything.
- Rosa (10/5): Great - Awesome
