Guest Reviews
- Harry (4/5): - No hot water... tv didnt work..
- Lawrence (4/5): Do not stay here unless it’s a last resort cheaper - Peeling paint, no hot water, no cups to drink the provided coffee. No cream or sugar
- susan (4/5): - The 2 nights I stayed at the travel lodge it did not have hot water. I could not take a shower. The first day I informed the front desk and the maintenance man said he would look at it. Staff never got back with me and still no hot water to shower in.
- Jared (4/5): - There wasnt any hot water.
- Duane (4/5): A very disappointing stay. - The first room we had looked like it had been cleaned upon entering it, but then we discovered that there was a poop slide in the toilet, the sink was dirty, the floor needed to be cleaned, and the bed contained human hairs and debris in it. The girl at the front desk did put us in a different room, but of course we had to repack the car and drive to a different parking lot. That room was cleaner, but the floor also needed to be swept, and there was a long black hair stuck to the sheet. The sheet appeared to be clean, but the hair had somehow been partially woven into the fabric, presumably from laundering. It was also a rather rough sheet, so not particularly comfortable. Overall, the housekeeping staff do their jobs very poorly. In addition, they charge $50 up front and then refund it if you haven't stolen or damaged anything, but it can take several day for the refund to appear in your account. Most places we're familiar with will just add charges to the credit card for that sort of thing if necessary, not charge it upon arrival or check-in.
- JaiLei (2/5): - I liked the price for 2nights but that price came with having no hot water and no cable TV .. the cable was broken so we couldn't watch tv on top of having no hot water. They couldn't refund or comp our room for our inconvenience.
Would not recommend this place they need it demolished
- Delilah (2/5): - No hot water sign on the lobby door
- Rozella (6/5): - The rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable. We were assigned to room #192 and there was no hot water and the television remote didn't work. Then we were assigned to room #127. Again, there was no hot water, no television remote and no garbage can.
Then the night clerk check room #112 to see if it had hot water, but there was none, and the light in the bathroom didn't work. We were next assigned room #103. Still there was no hot water, but we stayed there anyway. The television had a remote that worked but there was a lot of static on the TV so the channels we could watch were very limited. However, the staff was very helpful in trying to find a us a room with hot water. Except for water problem and the outside appearance of the motel, every thing was great. I would probably stay there again if they can fix the water problem and the TV remote issues. Also, please make sure there are garbage cans in all the rooms.
- Nathaniel (4/5): Last Resort. - I was given a room at 1st and noticed 1-had no hot water, 2-was not clean. I went to the front deak, and Shay helped me switch to another room, to which I couldn't even access because of the defective key. I had gone to the front office for the 3rd time and changed again to another room. This time the key again was defective and Shay had to open it manually. It was mediocre clean, but without TP and hot water yet again. At this point, I was tired to even complain or demand a refund. I had to check out unbathed and without complimentary coffee as the coffee maker was missing a coffee filter piece. Sometimes life isn't fair, and the stay here is one of those moments. If it wasn't for the exceptional service from Shay I would have left.
- William (4/5): - Floors where very dirty, no hot water on day 2.
- Cecelia (10/5): - Request laundry room for guests,
- Merrill (4/5): - Room odor, not well kept, dark signage, hard to find
- Marco (2/5): - Bad
- Douglas (4/5): - Short review - I would not stay here again. The place was weird. The floor was quite dirty, there was no shower curtain, the beds were made with the top sheet over the blanket, and the sheet had burn marks. I had to re-make the bed, and found that the blanket was not clean, so slept without that. My wife didn't trust the place, and slept in her clothes. The hotel had no sign, had to go in and ask if it was the travel lodge. We were told this was the last room, so we had no choice for the night but to stay, but I would not do it again.
- Stacie (2/5): - Got to hotel at 10 PM, took us over 30 mins to find even pulling thru their parking lot. The signs on both sides were torn and hanging down. Signs make it appear to be the old Rimrock, extended stay hotel, and never seen any sign saying travellodge on the property. Feel free to look that place up, wow Wyndham!! Rude receptionist was short with us and seemed ready to get off. He was not helpful at all and made our horrible situation worse by not offering any advice, even when asked, about this situation or local shelters. We were told they were having computer issues and could not check us in whatsoever. Not even with the little cash we did have and offering to pay a second time for the night. We continuously checked on their computers until front desk closed up at 11. Never heard from management about anything whatsoever, not even the next day. Apparently, management or something checked us in and sent us this survey asking how our stay was. That night we were told we could get a refund thru Expedia in 7-10 business days. Very limited on funds and chose to reserve at this hotel because it was a Wyndham property. They were not professional in the slightest bit and we pray this doesn’t happen to anyone else there, specially some family that is more vulnerable than we are. Sad we didn’t even safe enough there to even take a nap in the parking lot. I also pray that we can get our money back since we were falsely checked in by a computer or a person who was not even there working.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Farmington - It was comfortable. They're in the process of updating so 1/2 the room was nicely redone and the other half needs to be. But everything worked and the people were nice.
- Abhijeet (4/5): - Property has not been maintained. Travelodge recently purchased this motel and the signboards all show the previous name (Rimrock Inn) ! Doors don’t close shut and you can see clear daylight through them (and wind and insects getting inside) ! The bathrooms need urgent maintenance.
- Pamela (2/5): - If there were a way to give negative numbers, I would have. No signage, VERY difficult to find. Even people we stopped to ask directions of, suggested we NOT stay there. Building VERY old and in bad condition. Water leak below flooring at bathroom entrance, bare bulbs , Broken window in bathroom, loud fan, traffic noise, uncomfortable bed, etc.
Please take this off the Wyndham family, or invest and fix it up.
- Joseph (4/5): - This is an older motel with mediocre renovations. Rooms are old and in need of many repairs. Extremely affordable if you don't mind lack of amenities. Poorly upkept yet friendly employees.
- John (2/5): - No sign out front. Front desk person said the sign blew down. Coffee but no coffee cups. Tv control did not work. Staff was rude. Other than that it was a great experience.
- Chris (10/5): - The property itself is a little sketchy as it is in transition but the room, though dated, was large and clean. It could use an update but otherwise no issues with the room. Comfortable bed and quiet. I would stay here again.
- Tyrel (2/5): - After being switched around for four rooms, get into one room bath is completely dirty. Just all that bad experience
- rick (4/5): - Charged a deposit on top of the room rent. Never have I ever been charged a deposit in any hotel stay for one night.
- Dee (2/5): Poor review - The motel staff werent to nice, the room had lefted over item in room, the wall painting wasnt complete.... the cable/tv sucked.... pilliows has stains...
- Tanya (10/5): - Great room for the price clean room will stay here again
- Frank (2/5): - Sign on highway different from advertised. Waited 15 minutes for desk clerk to come back from some errands. No towels or wash cloths in room.
- Bertha (8/5): - Motel needs some more upkeep, I did comment to the desk clerk that they need to remind their cleaners that they need to take used soap out of the shower, old coffee filters out of the coffee maker, and the carpet needs to be vacuumed better, I stepped on two goat heads.
- Tyron (6/5): - Good not great.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Thank you, Karen - I got lost in Bisti. The only number I had was to Travelodge that I had called earlier. I called and Karen answered the phone. She eventually called Farmington police who in turn contacted me. I was thankful she went out of her way to help. Thank you, Karen
- Benjamin (6/5): - Room smelled of smoke and wasn't cleaned properly.
- fabian (8/5): Rude welcome - Arrived there at 2 pm first thing out of the receptions mouth was check in is at 3pm. I asked if they had a room we can have then we have been on the road for 7 hours on a motorcycle but all she could say was check in is at 3 p.m. . Very rude no help. I won't go back there.
- Geralyn (10/5): - This is always my go to when I stay in Farmington. It’s a great location.
- Denise (10/5): - The outside of this hotel isn’t much to look at however, that is where any disappointment ends. This hotel is clean, pleasant, friendly and comfortable. I was impressed with the staff. My room was only 50$. I couldn’t believe my good luck. The employees are friendly and helpful. Thank you Rimrock!
- Mark (8/5): - Was convenient to find.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I got bites from something while sleeping. I don't know what it was because i searched the bed and never found anything. But marks are definitely there and itchy.
- Leroy (6/5): - Privacy
- Dean (2/5): - Terrible property
- Hannah (8/5): - This property was a little rough around the edges, the sheets were clean and it was very quiet, parking is good, the staff was very helpful and nice. The outdoor court yard was pretty nice and would be good for dogs or a family BBQ. But you get what you pay for and if you are looking for a 5 star hotel, this isn’t it.
- Jason (10/5): - Great.
- Felicia (10/5): - Everybody was really nice especially the housekeepers they were really really sweet and nice
- Megan (8/5): - Price & Convenient location while passing through
- Tanya (2/5): - Not just dirty…FILTHY. The welcome to this property was some guy yelling to me through crack in the double glass doors that were triple wrapped by a combination lock bike chain. Super inviting.
That bathroom should be condemned. The bathtub in room 181 is nothing but giant ashtray covered in cigarette burns - and to top it off there was no timer paper. The outside grill of the air conditioner is gross and covered in ???? Smelled like urine when we turned it on so we didn’t use it.
Plus side. The front desk lady was nice.
- Kenneth J. (6/5): - Their placing a $50.00 hold on my credit card upon check in. I should have been told about this upcoming charge before checking in at the front desk. What say you?
- Tyron (8/5): - The room was great but I didn’t have a room phone to contact the front desk. But overall the room was spacious & had a restroom door, security door with deadbolt & security latch & a/c was a digital & operating.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Most disgusting room I have ever seen. - The people at your front desk were super friendly and helpful. No complaints about that at all. The room was dirty, broken, no garbage can, no toilet paper. Dirty towels. Doors wouldn"t shut properly if at all. We rented 2 rooms both were equally disgusting.
- Amanda (2/5): - First upon checking in got to the room 115, walked in wasnt the cleanest and had a smell however when i turned the light on there was a bedbug walking across the bed. Called the office they said to go get another room key. They gave me room 117. Immediately upon opening the door it was dirty, and smelly. Trash on the floor , a wet towel on achair with someones butt print, bugs all over, dirt and urine on the toilet seat. I tried calling the office multiple times they didnt answer. Tried to go down to the office and the door was locked and nobody came when we knocked. I took tons of pictures of the room . We ended up sleeping in the car, and what do you know they wont give me a refund.
- JoAnn (6/5): - It was dirty
- Michelle (2/5): Late night leaks - Wi-Fi wasn’t connecting at all. There was a leak from the room upstairs into my bathroom. I did what I could to prevent a flood. The toilet wasn’t flushing right. Called the front desk that night and they called maintenance but they were too busy.
- Elfido (2/5): - First problem, made a reservation in advance only to show up to Farmington and be told it’s overbooked and on a “first come first serve” basis now per the manager, barely squeaked away with a room. Second problem, the toilet in the room overflowed and never stopped, I had to shut the water valve off making the toilet unusable the room had no plunger and the front desk wouldn’t answer the phone. Staff was unfriendly, the bathroom itself was disgusting, someone wrote that they had f****d in the drawer and the hotel felt it necessary to leave that there. Stay somewhere else unless you don’t intend to use a bathroom and don’t mind getting there and being told they gave your room away.
- Craig (2/5): - No restroom after driving four hours. Room had no info inside, nearby restaurants, sites to see, no room service period or phone or Bible. My rooms door (#154) looked as if a swat team assaulted it. uWave small, but functional and the fridge was cold. The worst was no coffee or tea for the morning and the employee had not opened the lobby until I was ready to leave (~ 7:30AM). They also required a $50 dollar deposit. The property is in very poor condition and I've never had such a bad experience!
- Marjorie Jensen (6/5): - Property was clean nice
- RICARDO (10/5): - Estuve agradable
- Stoney (2/5): - No hot water
- Verified traveler (6/5): Worst stay - Not good experience and will not stay here again. The prices are reasonable, but you get what you get. They had no running hot water when I stayed with them. The room I had was a non-smoking room but reeked of cigarettes. Outside was so dirty, cigarettes heads everywhere. Also had some random men come knock on my door around 2am. Not worth it my opinion.
- Geralyn (10/5): - This place is just getting better and better. They have done a lot since my last stay to make this place more presentable and welcoming.
- Wess (2/5): - I booked for 1 night through you and was charged for 7
- Leonard (2/5): Cold one - Showed up to get my key to the room. They informed me they had no hot water and that if I wanted to cancel tonight they would reach out to hotels.com let them know that I did cancel due to them not having any hot water as of now I have no refund.
- Verified traveler (2/5): No hot shower - All I wanted was a hot shower and clean sheets. I got clean sheets.
- Peggy (4/5): - I didn't like that the heater did not heat at all! It was so cold!
- Rustyn (2/5): Horrible!! Don't stay here!! - Don't stay here!! The rooms are dirty, unkept, and in disrepair. There was no hot water. The staff were rude and uncooperative. I'm surprised this place is still in business. Won't be for long if they keep it up at this rate.
- clarence (2/5): crack motel - This Travelodge is disgusting run down dirty cigarettes butts is everywhere on the walkway literally is a crack motel for drug addict . McKinley county should do something this Travelodge needs to be demolish!!!
- Vince (2/5): - Stay Away! This place is one step above a crack house.
Be aware they ask for a $50 deposit when you check in. They prefer cash. That’s in addition to paying for your room.
Lobby had trash on the floor and seemed to have no heat. Dirty with filthy couches that should be dumpster worthy.
Watch out for the homeless guy in the parking lot.
There’s a sign in the lobby that no guest can stay for more than 28 days.
The rug in my room seemed filthy. I kept my socks on the entire time. They were dirtier than when I was hiking after walking around with no shoes.
My bedroom window was cracked.
The 80s hotel picture was cracked and appeared to be hung with packing tape.
My bed was clean as was the bathroom until I used the toilet and found it doesn’t flush properly.
I can’t believe the health/fire dept doesn’t shut this place down.
Shame on the Whydam properties for associating themselves with this location. It’s only a matter of time before the police or health dept shuts this down.
- Rachel (4/5): - Receptionist was awesome.
Bathrooms were not very clean went and bought cleaning supplies because receptionist couldn’t get anything for us.
- Kathryn (10/5): Great greeter - Diana was great at check in. She helped me out when I forgot something.
- Michael (10/5): - Clean, neat qnd oh so comfortable after 3 weeks of cqkoing
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not happy - Good for just over night stay there's no microwave or refrigerator water was cold no hot water
- Esther (8/5): Work in progress - Travelodge had recently changed hands so it seemed rooms were being redone, the ice machine did not work, shower wasn't the best. Staff were friendly and helpful.
- James (8/5): Best budget hotel in Farmington - I have stayed at this motel a few times. While not a fancy, five star hotel, it is a nice place to stay on a budget. The staff is always nice and the rooms are comfortable. The hotel is older and could use some renovations, but if you need a place to stay and you’re on a budget, this is the place for you!
- Kathy (6/5): - We did not feel safe leaving the room at all, we almost just kept driving because of how unsafe the area felt. The staff was lovely, the rooms were lovely INSIDE, outside though I don’t recommend it at all. They don’t have basic amenities such as an ice machine even.
- Natalie (4/5): - I didn't like the room no table and chairs...no hot water. No phones.. didn't get enough sleep cuz there were people partying right outside my door
- Martin (2/5): - I fell in the shower and hit my head because the surface was slippery and without any grip for footing.
- Aaron (2/5): - Total dump. I have stayed at many cheap places, but this dive might be the worst. Even if you're living in your car, this place is a step down. TV didn't work, despite clerk's best efforts. WiFi too weak to reach the room. No deadbolt on door. AC that sounds like a '72 Ford trying to idle, so tho it worked, can't sleep with it running. The only chair in the room had 3 good legs. Stains on walls, maybe blood, who knows. Half the building is boarded up, abandoned. I totally expected bed bug bites the next morning, but thankfully not. Save your money and sleep on the street; it'll be money you'll be glad you didn't give to this tenement.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good overall
- Diana (4/5): - The room looked old. Give us only one towel no hair dryer and the tv didn’t work. The bed was so hard. My back killed me. There wasn’t even a phone so we could get a hold of the front desk. Plus they were no help. I will NEVER stay there again
- Gerald (6/5): Worse room this trip - Very run down business. Most expensive place so far on our trip. No elevator available and very difficult for me to accomplish stairs.
