- ANDREWTTP (2/5): Terrible Attitude - On 7 Dec 19, I arrived KL before midnight and walk into 12Fly Hoyel @ Jln Tong Shin to make a booking. After taking down my particulars I was ask to pay a total Rm170. As I was in a rush for this last minute business trip I forgot to bring my credit cards except cash in Singapore dollars. I requested to leave SGD100 (equivalent to Rm300) as a deposit and the next day before I check out I will go to a money changer and pay them Rm 170. The immediate reply I got was the hotel do not accept foreign currency. I said Iunderstand but I'm only requesting to leave this SGD100 as a deposit and will pay the exact change before I check out the next day. And beside, now is already pass midnight and where am I going to find a money changer at this hour. The guy at the Reception ask me go walk down the road and ask, and he gives me until 2am. Frankly I'm exhausted after a long drive from Singapore and instead of arguing, I said ok let me go wash up and I'll go and check if I find a money changer. I went up to the room and the aircon was not working at all. Immediately I call the reception and he said someone will come to check. I sat on the bed waiting and after 15 mins nobody came. I called again and the same person told me someone is coming and to wait. I waited another 10 mins and still nobody came. By now I was not only tired but furious and mad because imaging sitting in an enclosed room without aircon. Immediately I took my luggage and walk out of the room. When I reach the lobby reception there were 2 guys, the reception and the room service staff sitting side by side chatting and they wasn't evening serving any customers. Not being able to contained my cool, I slam the room key at the table and said this is the last time I'm ever going to walk into this hotel and walk away. What I'm pissed so off is the service mentality and the attitude of the Reception. In my years of travelling, I've never encountered such pathetic service in the hotel industry. Andrew Tan

- khoa (2/5): The filthiest hotel on earth. - It was a terrifying experience checked in and witnessed the rooms condition. They didn’t look far worse from the photos on the website. Stain/mold in the wall, floor, ceiling, pillows. The gave me a free upgrade to a “better” and bigger room. But after 2 min. I decided to get out of this property, pulling my luggage under the pouring rain of Saturday Nov. 3rd and went to Starbucks to use the WiFi and searched for another place to stay. I would rather lose the money than catching anything from this establishment.

- Vanessa (4/5): Dirty and small hotel - The hotel seems ok when you arrive, however the staff is not very friendly, I did a request by email for the arrangement of the room before my arrival and the staff agreed to do it. However when I arrive 2 or 3 days later I did not received what I request. Super noisy until 4 o’clock. The rooms are very small and dirty, the hotel does not provide any personal hygiene items as the show in the pictures. No luggage storage services if you want check out early. Very disappointing in general.

- iboharie (6/5): Good Location but very Small rooms - 12 Fly good location with close approximate to Jalan Alor and Berjaya Times Square. But very small rooms. And very congested inside. More suitable for a single person to stay. a stay for 2 to 3 nights is fine but not more than that.
- ZeeMasri (6/5): Smile women....smile! - stayed there for 3 night. 5 mins walk to Alor Street Market. We booked STANDARD DOUBLE WITH BALCONY. The room looks very big on pictures but as we opened the door, bamm!! small room! between bed and tv on the wall only less than 500cm. need one by one to pass by bed to go to toilet. Balcony is useless as you can hear cars and motors sound after midnight. Small balcony and not well cleaned. When I check the toilet, I was so surprised the toilet bowl wasnt being cleaned up, got stains of urine like someone just used it. and lastly, regarding the receptionists. A malay guy were friendly when we checked in but not those two women. If you really like being a receptionist, please smile more, women! Overall, the only thing saving us from all of these was the mamak restaurant besides the hotel. I love the chappati, the roti, the butter chicken and everything! but then......I wouldn't be coming back to this hotel.
- Hyunyoung (6/5): 야시장과 클럽 근처 위치한 저렴한 가격의 숙소 - 항공기 지연으로 거의 밤 12시에 도착하여 체크인 할 수 있을까? 걱정했는 데 데스크에 직원이 계셔서 늦은 시간에도 체크인 할 수 있어서 다행이었고, 트랜스퍼로 간단히 1박 하는 거라 새벽까지 야시장이 있는 잘란 얄로 근처의 숙박으로는 최고였던 것 같다. 단지 묵었던 방은 엘레베이터 바로 옆에 위치하고 있어 비상계단 문인가? 싶을 정도로 너무 가까워서 당황하였지만 늦은시간 들어가서 잠만 자고 나와서 그런지 소음은 없었다.

- kaneda (4/5): Songs and music all day long - It looked like an ideal place. Easy check-in. Lift. Nice room with large window, bed, good sized shower and toilet, mini-fridge, etc. I got a bit of a discount as I booked in that moment. BUT the hotel had one downside. I didn't have it when I booked in fairly late but all the next day (Wednesday), someone selling sandwiches from two stalls opposite had songs and music from whiny ladies blaring away all day long, with some often repeated. I was very glad to leave early next morning. I don't know how the locals put up with him but if I lived close by, the stalls would have been mysteriously burned down one night.

- WanA722 (10/5): Great Location..!! - I travel with my family and stayed for two nights. It was a modern style hotel with superb Wi-Fi connection. Located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur with walking distance to all major city points such as china town, KLCC, time square & others big shopping mall.. The staffs are exceptionally nice and helpful; help us with the tour and arranging the transportation also giving info & recommendations on some great place to visit. What we love the most are the hotel is just located next to the famous food hawker street “Jalan Alor”. I would highly recommend a stay for a family and couples. Looking forward to stay again on my next visit.

Vi åt frukost på den indiska restaurangen vägg i vägg. Trevlig personal och god mat till mycket lågt pris! Rekommenderas för den som vill ha nära till sightseeing, bo billigt, men nöjer sig med hyfsad standard.

We requested to change rooms as soon as we walked in to the first room - the bathroom and room had hair all over the floor, toilet seat was broken, the bathroom looked like it needed a good scrub with some bleach and the sheets had stains on them. Second room was only slightly better. Bathroom was marginally better but the towels and sheets still had stains all over them. We ended up sleeping in our sleeping sacks.

- 88Michael_Scofield88 (4/5): not recomended - Stayed here 25-27 nov. Few hrs after i checked in ac wasn't cold enough i asked someone to check seems he never did it till I checked out. Room was hot and i slept without any shirt. Wash basin leaking and i put bath mat as my floor was wet. I booked room with view but the view wasn't good as I expected. Location is bit far to station but still okay cus many food stall around there. Maybe next time i go to malaysia will stay in other hotel with same rate and better quality.. the good thing is location in bukit bintang where night life goes and many famous restaurant,
- HocevarANI (8/5): Discovering Kuala Lumpur - In July we spend 4 nights in 12fly hotel, Kuala Lumpur. Hotel is on good location (Jalan Alor – 3 min, IMBI monorail station – 10 min, free GO-KL city bus station - 10 min, Different shopping malls – 10 min. Rooms are smaller but clean. There is no deposit box in room. The staff special in reception is kind and helpful.

God knows what she was doing?

- aaronm883 (8/5): What a surprise! - 12fly nestles itself in a more rundown feeling part of Bukit Bintang just a street away from Jalan Alor. In fact as you walk towards it from the nearby Imbi Monorail Station you could be wondering "just what have I booked myself into?". These thoughts are quickly dispersed the moment you step into the compact reception area and are greeted by the polite staff. My booking was for a double room with window - the window turned out to be a small balcony overlooking the busy street. While during the day the traffic noise was well contained aside from the passing to the Hop-On/Hop-Off bus at night the street does come alive and this could be disturbing to some. I found it made my first night of 5 a little disturbed but beyond that I was either out there causing the noise, or too tired to notice! The rooms amenities are well placed, the room is small and as such the careful design meant it never felt cramped. Overall the combination of amenities, cleanliness and overall feel make the relatively low room rate scream "bargain find". It's not all roses though, as a solo traveller who's familiar with Bukit Bintang's massage touts, the incessant offers of "pretty girls" and general back-packer party atmosphere that radiates through the district around the 12fly don't worry me, but if you're looking for a more "refined" neighbourhood this isn't the place to stay. I really think the 12fly offers great accommodation value for younger, or young-at-heart travellers who are looking to stick to a budget without giving up full featured accommodation. I would definitely stay again.
- gerardriesebeek (6/5): Very good location - The 12FLY hotel is a small hotel in Bukit Bintang, the center of Kuala Lumpur. When you arrive at the airport you just take a taxi for 110 Ringgit (around 27 Euro) that brings you in almost an hour to the hotel. The hotel is situated in a street that's buzzy all day and night. People at the reception are very friendly and helpfull but not all of them speak English very well. We just booked a room with a window, but we got a room with a balcony. That was a pleasant surprise so we could also enyoy the street-life from our balcony. The room was small but very clean. It had a queen-size bed that was a little soft. The room was at the front of the hotel so there was also some noise from the street during the night that made sleeping sometimes a bit difficult. The hotel is just around the corner of Jalan Alor (street) which has lots of restaurants, but there are also lots of restaurants just next to the hotel. From the hotel you can visit almost all touristic highlights by foot. Even the Pretonas Twin Towers are on walking distance (30 min.) We stayed for 4 nights in Kuala Lumpur and this hotel was a good hotel for a reasonable price at a very good location.
- Verified traveler (6/5): 普通 - スタッフの方々はフレンドリーで、立地も良く、ブキビンタンやタイムズスクエアに歩いて行けました。 しかし、新しいホテルのわりに既に老朽化が進んでいて、シャワールーム等の汚れが気になりました。でも綺麗に掃除はしていたと思います。 マレーシアの気候と、周辺の場所柄ある程度仕方がないと思いますが、部屋の中に小さいアリや虫もいました。また、目の前で工事をしていて、朝はうるさかったです。夜は特に気になりませんでしたが、同じ階の人の出入りや話し声はよく聞こえました。 部屋は狭く、全体的にとても簡単な作りのホテルです。女性だけだとちょっと不安になるかもしれません。 KL中心部は外資系の高級ホテルは日本等と比べて驚くほど安いですが、1泊1万円位のホテルは値段相応、このホテルを含めて1泊5000円位のホテルは価格に見合っていないように感じています。なので、今回もこのホテルと部屋のわりには高く感じたのですが、周辺の同価格帯のホテルと比べると「普通」なのだと思います。

- Verified traveler (8/5): Close to Food street - I stay for 3 nights there, staff is friendly and pretty helpful, Hotel is a bit difficult to find first, even the taxi driver is clueless hehe... but after we got the hotel, actually it's not that difficult, because it's near to some good places.. jl alor for food street is only 5 minutes walk, Pudu sentral is about 15 minutes walk, Bukit Bintang is pretty close too. I pick room near the street, when I read some reviews say it's a noisy environment, I was a bit worry if we would not get a good rest. But it's not that worst, not to noisy (maybe because I got 3rd floor, don't know with the lower floor) and we rest well. they clean the room everyday too. well, overall pretty nice hotel. thank you
- RolandP0906 (8/5): Excellent Budget Hotel - I stayed at the 12FLY Hotel mid December 2014 for 3 nights. Single room with window. The room, despite quite small, offers everything one need and it was nice decorated. Coffee & Tea making facility. Free WI-FI in the room. 24inch TV with three international channels. AC was working great. The bathroom is clean and has a spacey shower cabin. Good towels and some amenities. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall, a very recommendable property in central KL. Alor Street is just around the corner, so are numerous bars and restaurants. Low Yat Plaza and Pavilion Shopping mall are a 10 minutes walk away. I will stay there again.
- JP_UIO (4/5): Maybe it was good when it opened but not anymore - Went to this hotel based on hotels.com and tripadvisor reviews which said it was clean, cheap and well located. The two last parts are still true as it is one block away from the KL nightlife, nevertheless cleanliness was not there. This hotel looks new (possibly it is one year old) but the maintenance hasn't been good apparently (probably the owners want to get extra profits from their investment). I found several cockroaches as well as numerous ants in my room. Also there was hair in the shower. I told the lobby guy to please ask the cleaning personnel to really clean the next day the room but they didn't. No apologies, no nothing. I think next time I will pay some extra dollars in order to avoid the gross feeling of staying there and the ant bites as well. Some tips tell you to get a room with a window: it makes no difference as there is nothing to see from the hotel (only some street food vendors).
- haint838 (8/5): Great location and lodging - Very nice location which is very near from most busy area in Kl. Only 2 mins walking to jalan alor and 5 mins to Pavilion and Lot 10. Our room is triple and honestly it exceed our expectations when stayed 3 nights in total. Except WiFi was not very stable, but staff are so friendly and helpful. Room was nice and clean and well taken care
- Roland (8/5): Budget hotel with 5-star staff - Overall a very pleasant stay. Booked a single room with window, which is small in size but cosy. The bathroom though features a nice shower cabin. Best of all at this hotel is the very friendly and helpful staff. 5 stars here! Only negative points for me were the noisy outdoors at night and the missing international TV channels. Only on offer were CNN, a Movie channel and one of those bad Fox Sport channels. Rest was local program. Hotel is very central located. 5 minutes walk to Low Yat or Pavilion Mall. Lots a good festaurants and bars in the area. Sutely one of the best budget hotels in KL.

- Verified traveler (2/5): Nothing is right/good about this hotel! - We had a very unpleasant 2 nights stay at this hotel as it is a very dirty and noisy hotel! Lots of stains on linen and insects every where! My 3 year old got insect bites on many parts of his body after the first night. Taxi won't carry us as everywhere is too close for driving, but there's quite a distance to walk! Especially in such hot weather! For us, we'll never go back again!!!

- adrian (4/5): Maybe not for second time - Stayed here 25-27 nov. Few hrs after i checked in ac wasn't cold enough i asked someone to check seems he never did it till I checked out. Room was hot and i slept without any shirt. Wash basin leaking and i put bath mat as my floor was wet. I booked room with view but the view wasn't good as I expected. Location is bit far to station but still okay cus many food stall around there. Maybe next time i go to malaysia will stay in other hotel with same rate and better quality..
- Verified traveler (6/5): Zentrales Hotel, neu?! - Die Lage des Hotels war sehr zentral. Man konnte das meiste bequem zu Fuß oder via Metro erreichen. Allerdings war das Hotel schon "heruntergewirtschaftet", auch wenn es relativ neu ist. Bei dem Hotel handelt es sich um eine Budget Unterkunft.
- TraBelleR (8/5): Exceeded our expectations! - This newly opened hotel is what you are looking for if you are on a budget. Very clean and near KL's famous shopping districts (in between Bukit Bintang and Times Square) and food market (Jalan Alor). If you are not a fan of street foods, there are also nearby fast foods like KFC, Mcdo, Burger King, Texas Fried Chicken. Also accessible are Imbi and Bukit Bintang monorail. Walking distance to Petronas via Pavilion mall. Staffs were nice. We only had issues with the limited outlets available in the room for charging our gadgets and the wifi connection was dysfunctional at times. Still gave us the best value location-wise. Will stay here again!

- Verified traveler (8/5): OK for a one- two night stay. - I just needed a place for one or two nights, and for the price, this is an OK choice. Hotel located very strategically along Jalan Alor, near the food hub, also not too far from Changkat where the night life is. Room was basic with ok facilities, but no safe. I also noted there were dust under the table and cabinet. The door lock was wobbly, but thankfully no one broke into my room or anything. My room was the windowless one, 3rd floor next to the lift. Overall an ok place. I would say 7/10 in general.
- aewilliams22 (8/5): Great value for money - This stay was exactly what we expected - very clean, everything working well - and the staff was very helpful and friendly. If you're looking for budget accommodation, I don't think you could do much better than this.
- Alroy (10/5): Nice and comfortable hotel along Jalan Alor. - Even thought it's a small hotel situated at the back of Jalan Alor, I would still recommend people to stay in this hotel. Firstly, the staffs are friendly, the rooms are fabulous and it's simply worth every single amount spent! Would come back again if given the chance to.
- Nora (10/5): Great Choice. - Great Hotel! The staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel was comfortable and clean and in a very good area. The monoriel station is not that close. You will have to use taxis if carrying bags.
- W8144LPsteves (8/5): Good base for KL - Good location with easy walking access to the major malls (Pavilion, Low Yat etc) in Imbi and Bukit Bintang. Also easy walk to Imbi or Bukit Bintang monorail for getting around KL. The staff are friendly and helpful but the WiFi is tempremental. Rooms were serviced every day. I stayed about 3 weeks on and off between Melaka and trips out of KL. Jalan Alor is a bit overrated as an "eat street" but there is a lot of food nearby and fruit vendors as well. Overall a good base, clean, helpful. Recommend. Would stay again.
- Tatu_P (6/5): Good basecamp in KL - Clean and safe hotel near by Imbi MRT-station, Bukit Bintang and KL's best food street Jalan Alor. My "window room" was pretty good, noice from the street was only problem. Back side room is maybe better choice. I think that was good value for money. Nearest indian restaurant is great choice for breakfast, mango lassi was so freshing.
- Totosp (6/5): Real no frills hotel - I stayed this hotel for KL short visit. I chosed a single room with a window. The hotel is very simple. Small room but all the equipment is working properly, elevator, air conditioning, hot water. Also fairly clean bed linen. The location is excellent, very close to Bukit Bintang and Jalan Alor a street food center. there is a bus shelter Hop On Hop Off Not far from the hotel. The room price is not exactly cheap, I think there is another hotel with better quality for the price I paid.
- Wali (4/5): there are better hotel around at same price point - AC is not good. Can not cool down the very small room. Floor is not clean. Bathroom sink is too small. Just try other hotels around.
- junno (8/5): Super hotel - Really nice hotel, rooms compact but everything is there, comfy beds bar fridge, TV etc. Staff were very friendly & helpful. The location can't be beaten, in the heart of Bukit Bintang but on a quiet jalan with excellent restaurants & bar street not far away. Walking distance to the Pavillion & BB plaza etc. Only compaint was the wifi dropping out on a fairly regualr basis, which was only a problem because I had some work to do.
- MT31 (10/5): Good value for money - Good stay. Comfortable and clean room. IT reception could be improved with more channels. Otherwise, all are satisfactory.
- Jason (10/5): A Great Getaway Trip Stay! - Hotel staff was friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The rooms are neat and clean. Though TV reception could have been much better, everything else was alright and I am happy to have gotten this hotel to stay in. Will book it again when I am in KL the next time. Cheers! :D

- Maria (8/5): Very nice and clean room - I liked the place, I just stayed for one night. The room was clean and comfy, the applicances were good (such as flat TV, coffee, AC). The room was small, but it was great value for money anyway.
- Pamela (10/5): Great One Night Stay - Upon arrival we were upgraded to a balcony room as the hotel was not full. The room was small but very clean and comfortable. I am a bit obsessive about hotel rooms being clean and this one definitely was. Great value for the price!
- njvincen (6/5): Good service and ok room - Staff are great. I was allowed to check in early and they were very helpful during my two day stay. It's close to the big shopping district and easy to find from transport routes. But there was stains on the bedding, the walls were covered in black marks, and the bathroom was a bit mouldy. It's perfectly fine for a night or two considering it's a budget hotel. I wouldn't want to stay for a week though.
