Is it better than you expected, well this property exceeds my expectations. Had the private pool villa, walked in and said wow!!! So beautiful and tranquil. It’s right in the heart of Ubud, yet tucked away enough to feel quiet and peaceful—far from the noise of cars and scooters. Atmosphere: The overall vibe of the resort was beautiful. Everything was so well maintained, and I loved the greenery everywhere. The plants and surroundings were clearly cared for. Room: The room we stayed in, with a private pool, was amazing. The pool was very clean (the photo I included, the pool is so clean it looks like there’s no water there, but there is!!), and the space of the room itself was incredibly spacious, well-maintained, and exceeded my expectations. Staff: The staff were friendly, accommodating, and genuinely wonderful. They always had smiles on their faces, even after long days, which really made the experience feel warm and welcoming. I would definitely come back to this place. Thank you so much to all the staff, who made our stay so wonderful.

(viz fotky) Upozornili jsme na to personál, a řekli jsme mu že se necítíme v apartmánu bezpečně, protože střecha je poškozená a padá z ní stavební materiál. Doufali jsme, že nám nabídnou náhradní ubytování, to se bohužel nestalo.

Amanda was so helpful, courteous at all times which made stay most - Amanda at front desk very helpful, courteous at all times, and went out her way ensure stay was a pleasant experience. The location was excellent walking distance to the centre. The stay was very good comfortable and the room met my expectations. The property was in very good location 10 minutes walk distance from centre. Only additional comment so very slight humidity in room this more Ubud tropical environment. I really enjoyed my time here and would recommend Alas Petulu as place to stay in Ubud.
• Manuel (9/5): Prachte villa, mooi aangelegen en lekker rustig. Toch zo in het centrum of tussen de rijstvelden. - Gastvrouw Amanda is super gastvrij en vriendelijk. Je wordt voorzien van alle informatie en tips. De privé villa lag er mooi bij met een heerlijk zwembad, keukentje, buitenplaats en royale badkamer. Er zouden constructiewerkzaamheden zijn met overlast, keurig vermeldt. Daardoor beetje huiverig wat we zouden aantreffen. Maar dit bleek ontzettend mee te vallen en totaal geen last van gehad. Mooi aangelegde tuin waar ook zwembaden zijn. Met de Gojek scooter ben je met 3min in het centrale gebied van de stad. Bij de 4x ontbijt elke keer gevraagd om de Balinees ontbijt, elke keer kregen we te horen dat deze niet beschikbaar was. Toen we weggingen zei Amanda dat dit een dag van te voren aangevraagd had moeten worden. Dus hierbij de tip!

• Ingo Ernst (8/5): Das Hotel liegt gut und ist günstig - ich würde es trotz meiner Bewertung wieder wählen - die Lage ist 👍🏼 - Die Lage in Ubud ist für uns perfekt - alles was wir erreichen möchten ist zu Fuß gut machbar. In direkter Nähe befindet sich einer der besten Warungs von Ubud. Der Garten ist sehr schön angelegt und wird sehr gepflegt / in Schuss gehalten. Die Lage des Pools ist sehr schön. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit - eine Erreichbarkeit über WhatsApp ist schnell möglich - auch wenn die Rezeption nicht besetzt ist. Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen und bedarf grundsätzlich einer Renovierung. Im vorderen Bereich sind Renovierungsarbeiten im Gange. Unser Zimmer befand sich im hinteren Bereich des Hotels und war nur über mehrere Treppen mit etlichen zum Teil sehr hohen Stufen erreichbar. Die direkte Treppe zum Zimmer ist nicht wirklich gut beleuchtet. Auch die Beleuchtung im Zimmer ist ausbaufähig - Abends auf der Couch sitzen und lesen … dafür reicht es nicht. In der Dämmerung und am Morgen ist Mückenspray (aus der Apotheke in Ubud) ratsam. Das Frühstück ist überschaubar, uns hat es gereicht. Bei Booking wird für die Hotelkategorie mit 4 Sternen angegeben; auf anderen Plattformen z. B. In Google Maps sind es 3 * - dies entspricht nach meiner Erfahrung eher der Realität.

• rebecca (8/5): Great location, great sized room and in nature - The first thing to remember here is this is not a luxury hotel you're staying in, it has more homestay vibes and expectations should match that. Pros: The water filter in the room is just priceless, which also gives boiling water for tea if you need. really good. Amanda is just lovely to deal with and is always available via WhatsApp The room was large! and the balcony was also very large surrounded by the Ubud jungle on all sides The surrounds of the hotel are beautiful, gardens everywhere and very well kept Any issues I had at the property were resolved promptly by Amanda (even removing a gecko from my room!) The location was less than a 5 minute walk from the Main Street in Ubud which was great My room was cleaned well every day The A/C worked well in keeping the room cold at night These Cons were not really issues once I got used to them, just worth noting so that future travellers are realistic in their expectations and not disappointed. Cons: Each shower took at least 5 minutes for the hot water to come through and the water pressure was very poor (pretty common in Asia I've found) I had multiple geckos/lizards in my room due to the sliding main door that even when closed, still had long gaps on the sides that creatures could easily come through The A/C was quite loud, which I had turned up quite high due to the room being large and not sealed from outside The gyms equipment was actually decent, but so very small the room and mosquitos everywhere in there Unlike main hotels, the reception is never staffed unless you WhatsApp Amanda for something, wasn't an issue for me but just important to note in case you expect 24/7 reception service I had to leave to the airport at 2:30am for my flight, however I had to pack my suitcase and have it brought down to the reception by 8pm the night before due to lack of staff able to carry it down all the stairs in the morning. This was quite annoying and I did end up leaving things behind because of this.

The lush greenery and beautifully maintained gardens create such a serene and magical atmosphere. It feels like a peaceful oasis surrounded by nature, and every corner of the hotel is thoughtfully designed to blend with the environment. Everything is always clean, comfortable, and well taken care of, and the staff consistently provide excellent service with genuine warmth and attention. I’m so happy I chose to return here, and I will definitely come back again in the future. Highly recommended!

In fact that the hotel is so close to the Main Street , still it was so super quiet and seem to be a green island of peace . Stuff is so-so sweet and friendly , ready to help any time . • Arum (10/5): - This villa is located within walking distance (about a 5-minute walk) from Jl. Raya Ubud, Ubud's main tourist attraction, making it very appealing. If you're renting or bringing a car, the villa's yard can accommodate two cars, but you'll need to be careful when parking and unloading. From the front, the villa looks small and unremarkable, but it actually extends to the back, with a fairly large swimming pool in the back. However, there are only stairs to the rooms, so you should only bring medium-sized suitcases if you plan to stay here. Our room was also very attractive, with a bathtub and shower. The hotel staff were also very friendly and helpful, especially Amanda. However, upon check-out, we asked for assistance from one of the hotel staff, and after placing our two suitcases next to our car, the employee immediately turned around and left us without a word. This gave us the impression that the employee was rude or unwilling to help us carry our suitcases from the room. Overall, our stay at this villa was very enjoyable and worth it, value for money 👍👍👍
