- Goldieand3Bears (10/5): An absolutely wonderful stay - We were so impressed with the stay at this location (very clean room, good night sleep, convenient location), that we opted to stay one more night. So glad we did. We were most impressed with how friendly the staff was, and how they made us feel like valued customers. I will definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to other travelers.

- islandtexan2014 (10/5): A nice stopover - One of the newer hotels in town. (I think we've now stayed at three of the newer hotels as we stop often in Wichita Falls on our way to our final destination.) LaQuinta appears to be upgrading their hotels around the country, as we've stayed in others in Texas and Colorado that are replacing the dated ones. Beds were comfortable, room clean, A/C worked well, staff were courteous. The complimentary breakfast was pretty typical for this sort of hotel, certainly adequate and nicely presented. The room rate was in keeping with the market if not perhaps a bit lower than the competition. This facility allows pets if that's an issue for you. The dining area is roomy, pleasant, and with a sign clearly explaining that the dogs are not allowed in the food areas. Overall, our stay was quite good other than management's choice of putting Fox News instead of something pleasant like the Weather Channel on the television in that area.

I needed a step stool to get in and out of bed but they didn’t have one. I have back issues and had just driven almost 1000 miles so climbing in and out of bed was painful. I was suppose to stay 3 days but the property agreed to refund the other 2 days so I could go find another bed at a different hotel.

- Carol (8/5): It was overall a nice room was not crazy about location.. - The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was better than many places, but pretty normal. I checked in around 6:30 and had to wait for someone to appear at the check in desk. I really thought I was reserving at a different La Quinta in Witchita Falls that was just off I-84, but it was my mistake. I just don't know the city and had stayed at the other LaQuinta a year before. It was therefore hard for me to locate this LaQuinta and it had been a long drive. So I was tired when I did get there. However the morning desk clerk was delightful and she was helpful.

- Darla (1/5): Sickening chemicals in the air, the carpet, and even throughout the hallways, made me ill - there was an overwhelming chemical smell in the hallway leading to our room, and it was thicker and even worse when we got into our room. My eyes started to swell and my throat became raw. It smelled like bug spray. I called downstairs and asked the manager if they had sprayed for insects and he said that they had days before. I told him I couldn't sleep in that as it was making me sick. I had to keep a damp cloth over my mouth and nose during the duration of the time I was there. He said that he would call his manager. I asked if we could get a refund, since we would have to leave. He never called me back and I dont think he ever called anyone. My husband and I just left and lost the money we had spent there. It was a horrible experience all around. we will never stay at another Laquinta again

- Vicki (10/5): - We were happy with our room. It was nice and clean. We loved the apples. It was close to restaurants. And it wasn't far from the Convention Center. The desk clerks were excellent.
- Heike (8/5): - I didn't make it to the hotel to check in until around 8pm. The hotel had tried to contact me regarding my credit card that was on file with them via Hotels.com because it had expired in September 2025. They left me a message saying that if I didn't contact them in 1 hour, they would cancel my booking because they were fully booked. (Nevermind the fact that I had yet to show up in person where I could potentially give them a different card.) I did not see their text message until I was at the hotel and by then they had already canceled my booking. Fortunately, they were able to get me my room back and I paid with my card with the new expiration, but it seemed like they jumped the gun to cancel my stay by canceling it before I even showed up!! Even if you are fully booked, I HAVE a reservation and I'm arriving at 8pm and not 11:59PM where it my seem reasonable to cancel (or charge a card) because of a no show. Other than that, everything was mostly great. On the last 2 nights of my 5 night stay, however, I did notice a bug (a roach?) that was trapped behind the light in the bathroom. For 2 nights, I watched him walk back and forth trying to find a way out. I'd recommend this hotel review it's pest control spray schedule. We were here for a dog show and I'm not super picky about where I stay and this hotel will most likely continue to be my "go to" hotel when in Wichita Falls.

My restroom at check in late friday night was dirty there was a towel on the floor trash was halfway and only half aroll of toilet paper. Also we registered for family of 4 and thye had 2 clean towels in the bathroom only. My bed sheet had blood when i removed comforter. I advised front desk he would make sure house keeping would refesh our room while we were out that morning came back to nothing being done. Front desk manager apolgized but that was the extent of correcting the issue.

- Misti (5/5): Meh - The bed was comfortable I’ve been staying here while Im in town for years, it’s not as clean and great as it used to be. The pool was closed and we were looking forward to that, there was a dog in the breakfast area so we ate in the room. I understand that dogs are allowed in this hotel which is fine but I don’t think they should be in the dining room. My debit card was hacked and they wouldn’t take a check so we had to pay cash and they made us leave a $200 cash deposit at the front desk so we couldn’t go out to eat and had to cancel our evening plans. That’s really no one’s fault and I understand that. I’ll probably stay there again but my expectations will be lower.

The bed was too high, the door slammed way too hard and the door jam showed it. It smelled, there was bits of glass in the carpet and even though it appeared clean, it was run down.

- Kathleen (6/5): - Our room was fine, however the fitted bed sheet would not stay in place—either worn or too small for the bed. We had been on the road for a while and I really needed a clothes iron that worked-ours did not. Breakfast was limited in choices and the fitness room weight machine was broken. Staff was great at the front desk and housekeeping was very accommodating. We travel with small pups so our options are limited.
- Christine (2/5): - I am not sure what happened at this hotel. But the pool was closed and both rooms that I requested to stay in smelled mildewed and musty. I had originally planned to stay at the hotel for several days and I had to check out after one night because of the Moldy smell.

- Grant (4/5): Never again - The room was dirty and smelled musty. There was hair in the bathroom: in the shower and on towels. Good shower with plenty of hot water.

- Jeff (4/5): Good size room, poorly furnished with what was supposed to be a perk. - Coffee and pastries were good. Eggs and potatoes were cold. Potatoes over spiced and hard. Bacon and sausage were cold and not much flavor. Rooms were dusty, dirty plates and cups in the cabinets, dirty silverware in the drawers. Asked for a stool or step to get onto beds or sit on and were told they had nothing. Chair in room was broken and a danger. Thermostat on wall was inoperative. There were no dist towels or dish soaps to clean dishes. Coffee maker did not work. There were 2 small trash cans in the entire room.
- Brenda (2/5): - Unfriendly check in. Refused to attempt to accommodate my request. Promised the room had a bathtub. It only had a shower. Very frustrating when they don't care about their guests.
- Happiness48871949415 (10/5): All Excellent! - Everything was excellent. Service, cleanliness, decor, bed and pillows, amenities, shower and breakfast. I did notice the lobby was a little warm but we didn’t stay there and was not an issue. The gentleman at the desk was professional and thoughtful. The sausage at breakfast was tender and juicy. Thank you La Quinta.

- Oilboiler (8/5): Have stayed here before. Still a good stay. - We have stayed here in the past and it has always been a good option for traveling with our dogs. I was a little put off by the latest reviews , but we stayed here anyway. The downstairs room was spotless, quiet, and the AC was cold. It is an older hotel , but I would stay here again.
- sabra (6/5): - Check in was very chaotic. There was a front desk receptionist but she didn't speak to me and made no eye contact what so ever. I attempted to use the lady they have on the screen working remotely to check in but she was having technical difficulties of which the in person receptionist offered no help at all. After 10 minutes of trying to get checked in, the in person receptionist finally helped me after the remote one asked her to. It was a nightmare. 0/10 did not recommend that experience. The indoor pool was also closed for maintenance.
