The reception staff were barely attentive, owing to the fact they were dealing with apparently erroneous company bookings (from other guests).

Mary (6/5): Only good thing is being in town so close to why we picked this place. - Clean room, right in town The rooms have zero sound proofing. Every door that opened was heard, every voice spoken was heard, every vehicle driving by was heard. Doesn’t help with intoxicated people coming in all hours of the very early morning. The door had light from corridor streaming in all around it.

The issue was not resolved effectively, and the level of customer service was below expectation. Management’s response came across as rude, with no apology offered when explaining the issue. Staff need to know how to approach and resolve issues. Becoming overwhelmed to the point of crying in the back office and informing customers that they could not be checked in was not an acceptable response and did not meet customer service expectations.

Amanda (6/5): I have paid less for better quality and won’t stay there again. - The location was great. The pool area was nice. There was an offensive smell on the floor we were staying on. I mentioned it to staff but nothing was done about it. The charges on my account for parking per day. You shouldn’t charge paying guests for parking and not tell them until after they find it on the charges. We were woken up at 11pm and had to evacuate the building. It was very scary and traumatic for my daughter and me. Then we were told it was because someone took a hot shower. That is ridiculous and such a waste of emergency services time. The place is very dated and needs a good refurb. Also it’s not clean outside. Dirty condoms and rubbish bags lying around.
