Guest Reviews
- Alfonso (8/5): - I was a nice experience to stay at Zfreei Hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean. The food is good and the marionettes show is fantastic.
- Doug (8/5): - Only restaurant is outdoors. If it’s cold, your cold.. WIFI usually didn’t work. Breakfast very good. There are a number of good restaurants within walking distance.
- Albert (8/5): nice and relaxing stay - Nice quiet hotel with comfy bed and linen. Swimming pool also good. Deluxe Room is spacious and equipped with a small fridge. WiFi strength is good too though I read from other posters about weak WiFi. Maybe it is in rooms further away from lobby area. Breakfast is adequate with Asian and western dishes. Cheap E bike rental across the hotel is a great incentive too. Will stay here again.
- Do Seong (6/5): Overestimated comments and rate for this hotel - 4nights stayed and I found all those good comments are overestimated and worse value for money. Rooms and amenities are not like you see of pictures and windows in the room are all functionally dropped in value because once the drapes opened, all employees and guests around will look in your room. Mosquitoes and no elevator are also to be concerned. Walk up to the roof top for breakfast will be not easy if you have a knee problem. Location is good and staffs are friendly. Breakfast is good.
- Brian (8/5): - First of all, when I enter the hotel, there were a staff came instantly to welcome me and assisted me to check in. This is my first time to see this kind of gesture. Staff are helpful, professional and cheerful. Moreover, I am really satisfied on everything except the design of the bath room, the bathroom with a glass partition which is too short for blocking the water from the shower head. They really need to fix that.
- Gregory (10/5): Nearly perfect! - The best thing about this hotel was the staff, who were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They made us feel at home and helped us with our plans, arranging transportation etc., and even our called our bus to
Mandalay just to make sure they were coming to pick us up and would take us directly to our hotel, which was a great relief.
The breakfast was quite good with both Asian and Western options, including an omelette chef who cooks to order. The location is also great as you can walk easily to the main road north that has food options and an impressive pagoda, and also there are several e-bike and other rentals across from and around the hotel so you have all of Bagan at your fingertips.
The only downsides for us were 1. we would have liked to have tea and coffee in the room which is not provided, 2. the minibar was twice the price of our hotel in Mandalay (even though you can walk to a small shop right down the road and buy the dame drinks for a normal price, at least half of Zfreeti's price) and 3. there is no way to prevent the shower from drenching the whole bathroom, but this seems to be typical Myanmar style...
Overall I highly recommend Zfreeti if you plan to visit Bagan, the heart if Myanmar.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Good location .The staff are helpful and nice. The room is clean and tidy.
- Archana (10/5): ct location, perfect service.. - Excellent stay close to restaurant street and markets. Bonus was being able to watch hot air balloons take off at breakfast. Service was excellent as well! Highly recommend!
- Helder Gil (10/5): - Good location and value for money
- Marla (8/5): - Excellent services and facilities. Closed to many restaurants and stores. The only bad point was the WiFi. In the rooms the wife is so bad, I can’t never connected.
- TCF (10/5): - Staff was very helpful, arranging transport, early check-in, general advice & recommendations.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Perfect location in Nyaung U, walking distance to many restaurants. Bike rental just opposite the hotel with reasonable rates. Staff are excellent - really friendly and professional and do their best to assist you, and also give good recommendations on what to do in the area. Only downside of the room is that the shower screen is not full, so the bathroom usually ends up pretty wet. Apart from that, no complains at all. Would stay here again if I'm in Bagan.
- Taka (8/5): - One of the big size hotel around the area and worth for the money. Need mosquito spray in the room.
A breathtaking view of Bloons from roof top breakfast place which most of other hotels won't be able to provide. Don't walk dark narrow street when you go to restrant street to avoid mobs of stray dogs.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Awesome value - Great service, great breakfast, great location. Rooms aren't fancy but they're clean.
- Ngar Mun (6/5): Average hotel - I would rate the hotel 6 out of 10. The room we were in has broken doors, and the shower area is not well condone, such that the whole restroom floor would be wet after a shower. Amenities are also far from 8 rating. However the breakfast spread is decent but unfortunately it’s on the rooftop with no elevator. Location is good as there are many eateries behind the hotel, and shops in the neighborhood
- Ana (10/5): Great place unless you really need WiFi - Overall had a great stay at the hotel, the minus and reason I would not stay again is that internet was not always working or too slow so I was not able to do work that I needed.
But location is great, pool as well, very nice staff, nice rooms and excellent breads
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Had a present stay
- Markus (10/5): - Really nice hotel with a pool which is quite good to have in Bagan. The „food street“ can be reached by foot, it’s really close. Also, there are 2 little shops on both sides of the hotel entrance which rent scooters, both are very kind and helpful. It was a great stay
- Donna (10/5): Great staff, pool, and location - On 28 day trip, we choose Bagan for our special hotel with a pool. From checkin to our departure 8 hours after checkout, the staff continued to reach out with support. Even when we knew the transfer bus was coming to pick us up, staff insisted on double checking. After long hot day of sightseeing, we loved the pool combined with great happy hour from 4-6. Above average breakfast on rooftop with fresh egg station. After checkout we returned to use pool, shower, and enjoy dinner. Hotel is within 2 blocks of restaurant street and cheap laundry. Since no place is perfect my negative would be that the door is too large for smaller bathroom.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Room was spacious and adequately furnished. Bathroom also good size. Nice swimming pool and adjacent bar/eating area. Good and diverse breakfasts offered on nice rooftop patio providing both shaded and unshaded seating. Staff were most helpful in arranging tours/taxis/tuk-tuks.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very cozy hotel with wonderful staffs.
The room is much larger than expected.
- Thomas (10/5): - Fantastic hotel in great location, excellent breakfast buffet
- Sandy (8/5): - It is ok for the facilities of the hotel, the breakfast and receptionist
- Ivana (10/5): - great location
nice swimming pool
very good breakfast
hotel arrange private day trips for really good prices
- Verified traveler (8/5): - pleasant hotel bar prices expensive compared to those in main street room could have been cleaner
The curtains need to be replaced they look old and dirty, stained
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice hotel with good breakfast spread, just a 10-minute e-bike ride away from the nearest temples!
Service from the staff was stellar.
- Anna (6/5): Relatively good - The staff was very courteous. The arranged for us pick up (8k) and drop off (5k) to the airport. They also had no issues with early check-in.
The e-bike rental is across the street and they are super nice!!
Location is excellent: 10 mins from the airport, 2 mins walk to all the restaurants, 5-10 mins e-bike ride to temples.
Breakfast had a really wide choice.
Room was very spacious but the hotel has electronic door locks that are quite loud. Also door do not open easily so you can hear neighbors trying to get to their rooms and the lock sound (almost a 2 seconds melody). Also you can easily hear all walking on the corridor and hairdryers of neighbors. It's not a big deal, but it's a bit annoying when 90% of the hotel wakes up early for sunrise and you are in the other 10%.
Lastly, for the New Year the hotel organized a band at the rooftop. We had an early flight next day and band played till 1am. If I knew about it, I would not book that room.
- Lasana (8/5): - Unfortunately I got the room with have problem with toilet flush so we had to press another times to make sure there is water full fill in the tank. The room was little bit small. The hanging clothes area was difficult to reach.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice hotel located conveniently close to restaurants. Room was clean and well maintained by friendly staff. Hot shower was readily available. Internet can be improved but with a purchased local carrier SIM card, this was not a serious issue. Air conditioning was adequate to rest and relax after a hot day outside visiting Temples. Breakfast selection was very good and opened early with friendly staff. Food is of good quality too.
- Radek (10/5): - Very good hotel, amazing breakfast, very tasty food in hotel restaurant. I can not sey anything bad about this hotel.
- Ryan (8/5): - Nice facility and clean & tidy room. Staff is helpful.
- Adam (8/5): - Comfortable enough with nice pool and good breakfast and friendly helpful staff. Rooms could be larger. Beware that some rooms face each other with only few meters between windows so you would need to keep curtains closed all the time to have any privacy.
- Frederick (8/5): Good hotel, fantastic staffs, no complain - Value for money and very comfortable. Staffs are very friendly, speak good English, eager to help and give us advice on where to visit. I rented the electrical bicycle from the hotel and it served us well. Near the restaurant street too. Highly recommended.
- Rowena (8/5): - Friendly, helpful staff who gave good recommendations for both guide and driver during our one-day stopover. They also stepped in to help when our flight was delayed and they sent a car to pick up us up from the airport and supported us with translations. Many thanks!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Pleasant, clean, and quiet. Also within a few minutes walk to several restaurants
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good value hotel - My friend recommended this hotel to me and told me about its yummy breakfast. During my stay, their staff was all nice and helpful. And free ebike available on site! There's a cheap and delicious Burmese restaurant for lunch and dinner nearby! Good value!
- Spencer (8/5): - Hotel and especially the pool were nice. The WiFi was pretty awful and barely worked.
- Verified traveler (10/5):
- Lala (10/5): Zfreeti Hotel - Nice pool, great staff, new and clean. I received a free upgrade because the WI-FI was spotty. I stayed three weeks, it was my third stay. Between Nyaung U, Old Bagan and New Bagan I like Nyaung U because the market, restaurant row, and shops are near by.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great location and price - The hotel is really good for the price. Located near lots of restaurants within walking distance, which was very convenient. The staff was amazing and made all our arrangements for transport, and suggested some great lesser-known temples that made our trip very special. The rooms were well air-conditioned — very necessary for the summer.
- Aom-SS (8/5): Very good service, the room and dinning was good - We arrived Zfreeti around 8 am. and they welcome us, and let us check-in, the room was good for us, the staff had a good service and the gave us a good advice touring around Bagan, if we have a chance, we will come back to stay here again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very good hotel. Close to great restaurants and bike renting shop.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice place, friendly staff, pretty good value for money, located near to a lot of little restaurants
- Richard (10/5): Great hotel. Good location. - We really enjoyed our stay. Friendly helpful staff. Well located. Bike and scooter rental very close by. Comfortable, well appointed room.
- fayden (6/5): Overpriced, good breakfast, touristy obnoxious - Can do better at half the price! that's all to be said
- Jaymee (10/5): Excellent top-rate service - Amazing, excellent service. Will keep coming back. (This was my 2nd time here. Service is still impeccable.)
- Wataru (10/5): バガン観光に便利なホテル - 立地は素晴らしい。観光客向けのレストランが密集している通りに隣接しておりとても便利。スタッフのサービスも良かった。朝食もおいしい。
- Mahesh (4/5): Not the best - Hotel in good location to restaurants and very near to airport. Service and attention from staff good at first but were disappointed when checking out.
- Juan Manuel (8/5): Nice stay, well located and friendly staff - Staff is friendly and hotel is well located... they found us a guide and a vehicle really quick and helped us on everything we asked. Breakfast buffet is good and they serve nice dinner. Good value for money.
- Mandy (10/5): sight seeing - We stayed here three nights, the hotel is excellent with communication 're transfers from the airport. Check in was great even though we arrived early were still given a room. Room was exactly as advertised and the hotel location is excellent. Breakfast was a good spread with lots if choice and staff were great. 0ne comment only it would be really helpful to have some information in the room about the local attraction and the best way to get around. We found an amazing temple very close via maps me and at sunset it's beautiful info would have been great. All in all good location, clean tidy hotel with pool, for its price range excellent.
- Heidi (8/5): Nice Staff & Good Location - The staff were nice. I asked for opinions for the templates to see sunrise and sunset, the staff was willing to help and gave us several suggestions. On the sunrise day, we were waiting at the reception area for the E-bike shop to open, they let us know the shop should be opened soon, it made me less worry as I really didn't want to miss the sunrise.
For the location, it was very good for me. It was my first time that riding on E-bike and it was a good starting point as the road was not busy nearby. It was easy to go to the main road after several minutes driving.
The hotel was near some good restaurants, like Bibo, Leo Restaurant and Bagan Zay.
- ne (10/5): Nice hotel, great value in great location - Great location. A full, very good breakfast. Only minus was WiFi was not great in room, but good in common areas
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good choice with a few quirks - Location is good, one block to restaurant row. Very nice lobby and it’s comfortable to hang out there for a cappuccino. Which is nice because the coffee at breakfast is terrible. The breakfast is good. Fresh fruit and good selection of food, limited veg options. Room is comfortable, nice bed, strong shower
QuIrks. No kettle in room. Door is hard to open. Windows look across to other room, at least for rooms without balcony. prices in US and lousy exchange rate if you choose to pay in local currency. Also, they are freaks about bills. They didn’t even accept bills that they gave me as change, which i accepted before realizing the bill situation.
- David (8/5): Good hotel, good location - Hotel is about 3 years old. It is located one block's walk from the main food street, and is about 10 minutes by taxi to the airport. The room was clean, comfortable and had good airconditioning. There is an ATM next to the front desk.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great. - It was a great one night stay. Close to the eateries and all.
- Ian (8/5): Great location - It has a great location, where you can do your hot air balloon within 1 minute walk from hotel and rental of the e-bike is just outside the hotel.
Our room’s shower head has issue, could have fix that.
- Natalie (8/5): Central hotel. Busy. - Booked a Dulux double. Room was clean and comfortable. No view as window looked out onto another building. Lots of breakfast options. Very busy at times. You can rent e- bikes from the hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good location - Good location just off the main area for restaurants.
Positives: location
Negatives: The $50 cash deposit you need to stump up, breakfast (whilst plentiful and quality wasn’t great and the coffee terrible), laundry service is incredibly expensive compared to outside the hotel, their suggestions for sunrise/sunset location were all closed (indicating limited, and out of date, knowledge) and the WiFi doesn’t really work in the rooms (only in the middle of the night when everyone else is sleeping).
- Mun Teng (10/5): Comfortable and clean - The in house restaurant food is good.good environment, clean room, toilet a little squeezy and after shower the water will spill over, jz need to get extra bathmat for that. All staffs are very helpful. Convenient as it is jz opposite the electric scooter store.
- Yasmin (8/5): Nice stay overall - Service was pleasant nonetheless and they promptly responded to my queries prior to our arrival. And I must mention that the early check-in pretty much made up for the long ride from Yangon. Although the guy staff attending to us during check-in was quite helpful, I was however a bit disappointed that they could not offer much help (another guy staff this time) when I needed some medicines. Hotel was a bit off the crowded areas/commercial areas (meaning not walkable) so one has to make separate arrangements for transport. But if one is willing to take the scooters/bicycles, then mobility would not be much of an issue. Dining options are limited to the hotel restaurant.
- alan (8/5): Great hotel in great spot - Good hotel. Great breakfast staff and great choice of food. Lots of restraunts 2 minutes walk away. Booking agencies nearby.
- Gustavo (8/5): Great breakfast & location, some issues - The hotel is in a great location, but has some maintenance issues.
On arrival our key did not worked, we had to wait over an hour in the heat to be fixed, no complimentary drinks. After 30minutes I suggested to change rooms, despite hotel being half empty they said initially none available with king bed. Finally as they could not fix the key they gave us tha room besides! Another guest was given our original room, every night there were locksmiths hitting and slammering the door to get it to work.
The pool is built besides the water treatment plant, at times of the day it stunk. The rooms are in alley buildings separated by 3 meters, so do not expect privacy with the curtain even half open.
Cleaning staff were very good, and breakfast in the top open floor was delicious. All personnel but reception was corteous and well trained.
- Karthik (10/5): Good hotel, close to restaurant row - Very good location close to old bagan and restaurant row. They also provide 1 free e-bicycle (not the regular ebike but a motorized bicycle) and another is rentable at 3000 (half or less of the price of an ebike). Food at the hotel is quite good as well. Only negative was that they did not have coffee/water kettle in the room itself. Also the room door was very tricky to open.
- Richard (6/5): doesn't quite live up to the lonely Planet hype - it was ok, reasonable rooms, fairly priced and a nice pool. lots of irritations. added on a service charge to the basic, i.e. deliberately attempt to conceal the true price. didn't like a perfectly good 20 dollar note I paid for some beers with. lent ebikes, but one had a battery that conked out leaving us stranded. lots of better hotels in Burma
- Verified traveler (8/5): Very good! - We really liked out stay at Zfreeti! Great hotel with great amenities (pool!), good location to the Bagan highlights, great breakfast! Would definitely book here again!
- Carl (8/5): Value hotel with pool, would stay here again - Great location to explore Bagan and lots of ebike hire and good restaurants.
Breakfast on the rooftop terrrace was fantastic, lots of delicious food, the swimming pool was great after a dusty day of temples.
The rooms were compact and everything turned off when you removed the only key card they would give you, so you always came back to a hot room and one of our 2 rooms had an aircondiitioner that did not blow any refridgerated air, after threatening to leave the hotel we were given another room where the aircon worked perfectly. There are varying quality of beds, 2 rooms were great the 3rd very very firm mattress
This hotel is worth the money and a bargain compared to the hotels on the river as you do not have to rely on transport to eat.
- Courtney (10/5): One of the best stays of our trip - Great stay! Best included breakfast we have had in over a month of travelling. Staff let us check in very early after a night bus. Ebikes right across the street. Pool was great after hot dusty days.
- Courtney (10/5): Best place we've stayed at so far in our trip - Great place! The staff allowed us to check in (very) early after a night bus and gave us a larger room. The included breakfast was the best we have had in over a month of travelling. The staff turned on the Arsenal game in our room when they found out we were fans as well. The pool was nice to cone back to after a hot dusty day ebiking around. Ebike access is just across the street for cheap.
- Emily (8/5): Good hotel at good price - Nice hotel at a good price for this area. This hotel is located with walking distance of several restaurants. There is also a decent restaurant on site. The room is clean and a decent size. The staff is very accommodating. The wifi does not work but that holds true for most of the city. If you need wifi you need to buy a SIM card or picket wifi.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Almost perfect.... - Everything would have been perfect except for the fact that they are remodeling some rooms right now and would start banging and breaking up tiles at 7:30 in the morning. But the service and all around cleanliness was great. Perfect little pool to relax by. And a descent breakfast buffet.
- Sayan (8/5): Nice hotel in Nyang U, old bagan. Great breakfast. - early check in was allowed, nice staff and good breakfast and food available in the restaurant
- Olivia (10/5): - Highly recommend this place. Pool was great! Location superb, right near the bus station and very handy to all the good restaurants. Breakfast was superb. Room had all we needed. Staff were lovely.
- Catherine (10/5): Mingulabar from beautiful Bagan - We visited Bagan in the hot season and Zefreeti was an oasis to return to. The pool area was beautiful and inviting. Our rooms spacious clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was extensive and always fresh. The staff were happy and helpful. Zefreeti is in a great area close to restaurants and shops without being hectic. AW bike retails across the road is the place to hire your electric bikes and book your tours and transport. Lovely family. We were sad to leave after 5 days and would definitely return to stay again.
- Kath (10/5): Nice hotel very conveniently located - Very happy with our stay. Room was spacious and clean, staff super helpful and we really appreciated escaping to the pool during the middle of the day when it was too hot to be exploring temples.
- Monique P (10/5): Beautiful Gem in Bagan - My stay here was AMAZING! The staff was very friendly and very welcoming. Every time I passed through the lobby or ran into a staff member anywhere on the property, I was greeted with a warm smile. The hotel is very very clean. The rooms are really comfortable and clean and the neds are amazing. I slept so well, not your typical hard matrress that you find in this part of the world. I currently live in Myanamr and the mattress was so wonderful that I actually asked management about it as I will be buying one for my home. The breakfast is AMAZING and there's BACON!!!!! The pool is great and so refreshing after a long day in the hot sun. I will definitely stay here again and will recommend this place to anyone traveling to Bagan. It close to everything and still very quiet at night and even during the day. This place gets 5 stars from me.
- Zin Lin (10/5): Awesome customer service with a smile - Great customer service with a smile was depicted throughout the stay. The hotel staffs went over and beyond to help me in every situation. I will absolutely stay here again when I'm in bagan.
- Jade (8/5): Nice hotel close to place of interest - walking distance to night market, many nice restaurants, nice weather, clean room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful stay in Bagan - Amazing hotel with very friendly and helpful staff and very comfortable beds and delicious breakfast served on the rooftop. It is located in a fun area with good restaurants, not far from Old Bagan and well placed to visit most of the temples. Wifi was a bit limited and didn't work well in most parts of the hotel, but that could also be an advantage if you want to get some time off. In general, highly recommended for your stay in Bagan, we didn't want to leave.
- Andy (8/5): Great pool, great breakfast! - Great pool, nice size modern room but lacking in any storage for your clothes. Breakfast was supurb, best yetin Myanmar. Some of the doubles looked directly into rooms opposite. We didn’t like this and they put two twins together which looked out the rear of the hotel. We personally don't like the fact that they price everything here in US $, especially when the exchange rate is obviously in their favour. The guy who rents ebikes opposite the hotel is a star and can also arrange car and driver for very reasonable rates.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Easy transfer to and from airport. Lots of restaurants nearby.
- Verified traveler (6/5): OK hotel, meets basic needs. - Simple, smallish room sparingly furnished.
Hotel OK, but would not recommend Bagan as a destination. Wish we would have been warned, the place is a rip off. Yangon is interesting, but don't push your luck!
We cut short our trip in Myanmar and went to Cambodia instead, which is much cheaper, better organized and has much more to offer.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful staff - Staff was very accommodating, helped book ongoing bus tickets and allowed early check-in
- Jaymee (8/5): Nice hotel with great breakfast and cozy rooms. - Great hotel that's very near restaurant road (walkable), the market (quick ride), the Thanaka museum and Shwezigon Pagoda (also walkable). Very courteous staff! My only problem with this hotel is my bathroom. Whoever designed it had very poor vision of what a bathroom should be. The door won't completely open, the shower has a very small wall separating it from the toilet area and so the water splashes out. Worse is there's no separation from the floor, so the floor should be tilted to the drain but it isn't, hence flooding your whole bathroom! I asked them to fix the clog or what that doesn't make the water go down but nothing happened. Apart from that I'd recommend this hotel to everyone.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The room was clean and tidy. The hotel staff were attentive and very polite. Food served at the pool side restaurant was great. Overall a pleasant stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): I would stay again at this hotel! - Very good hotel in Nyaung-U, 5 minutes walk from many restaurants and close to Old Bagan. I appreciate the efforts the hotel goes through to maintain the property.
Positive: nice property, clean room, wifi throughout the hotel, pool, electric bicycle rental ($4 a day), good service. The breakfasts were good. There is a travel agency/scooter rental conveniently across the street.
Things to improve: electricity shutdowns (twice), not a big deal, but may upset some people, no safe in the room.
Overall - reasonably priced and highly recommended.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Accomodation is good for bagan tour. - Room is clean but small.
Breakfast buffet are a lot of local food and some of western food. you can order some egg menu by egg corner. It was delicious.
- Sun Hye (10/5): the best hotel I've stayed in Myanmar - very helpful staff! I landed in Bagan early in the morning so I chose the hotel in Nyaung-U as its close to the airport.(K 5000) They helped me do early check-in, and advised me where to visit and what resources (taxi, horse cart or e-bike) I can use. They can help you arrange if you ask! Room was very clean and confortable, and the rooftop breakfast was amazing. There are many restaurants and shops around the hotel.
- Rudolf (8/5): Good western style breakfast - I originally booked a stand size room which was too small. I extended my stay in Bagan so I booked 2 additional nights with the hotel but I decided to book an upgraded room category which worked out better. The staff is very helpful and breakfast was good , especially the coffee. Wi-fi was slow but that is typical in Myanmar.
- David (10/5): Burmese Splendor - Wonderful hotel staff, nice greeting and very helpful. E-bike rental and ticket services right across the street
- Thomas (8/5): I would stay here again! - Nyaung U is a good area to stay, and zfreeti is a great option in this area. Well maintained and a great staff makes it a little oasis. Nice pool area, many restaurants nearby. Poor wifi but I think that's typical for Bagan. Be prepared to leave 50000 kyat cash upon arrival for security deposit.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Clean hotel with good service - Great hotel at a very reasonable rate. Clean and modern room, helpful staff, good location.
- John (10/5): - The hotel was beautiful with a clean and modern room and good facilities. A particular positive about the hotel was the excellent breakfast on the roof terrace. I would recommend this hotel for staying near Bagan.
- Mary Joy (6/5): - Good place to stay, good breakfast but internet was terrible. Not the place to stay if you are doing some work or social media addict. But otherwise, generally a nice place for quiet stay. If you come at the right time, you can see the hot air balloons over Bagan during breakfast at the rooftop, which is nice.
- Steve (8/5): Zfreeti is a handy hotel. - Helpful staff. Motorbike rentals across the street and baloon ride outfitter a 2 minute walk away. Fairly convenient to get to shopping and roads into town.
Dinner is nice pool side and menu is good and quality is very good. We enjoyed it and the prices for food and drinks was very reasonable for a hotel.
Breakfast on the roof top had good variety so was a good value. DIning areas and pool areas are somewhat tattered but plenty fine.
- Lakshmanan (6/5): The bathroom drains could be better - The overall experience was OK. The property is fairly new.
The rate at which water drains in the bathroom is very very slow. Basically you will end up standing in a puddle of (dirty) water by the time you finish showering. Asked the manager about this and he said that's a flaw with the drainage system and pretty much all rooms have the same issue.
- WILLIAM (10/5): Near the restaurant road. - Fantastic staff at this hotel as we arrived super early from Yangon with overnight bus, they let us check in to fresh up before the standard check in time. They even gave our birthday girl a bouquet! Very nice touch.
- Chelsea (10/5): Excellent location, wonderful staff - We stayed several nights, originally reserving the smaller room to maintain a budget. After one night we realized that there was simply not enough space for two people and our two bags. We upgraded to the larger room and I highly recommend to any non-solo travelers that you do the same. The staff made a point to remember our names and gave great recommendations for activities, guides, rentals and restaurants. The e-scooter ride from the hotel to the ruins was easy and quick so the distance was never an issue. I would stay here again.
- Larnie (6/5): - Dining area above my room very loud from 6am onwards with chairs scrapping for 3 hours! Not great for a sleep in morning
- Purushottam (8/5): Convenient and Clean Hotel but no elevator or Lift - It was a pleasant stay , enjoyed it again.
- Neil (8/5): Great value and friendly staff - Everything great except wifi
