Guest Reviews
- Oscar (8/5): - Beautiful place and friendly staff
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property is well maintained. The service was friendly and professional. We enjoyed our time there and will return.
- Phillip (8/5): - The room and property are AMAZING. It was really one of the highlights of our trip. The food is fresh but not cooked/seasoned well. Also the AC barely works so it was quite hot all night.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Although the property is old, it has been well maintained. The room had n AC and was very small, but being opposite the pool and having a nice private area outside to sit made up for this.
- natty (6/5): - Pro :
Nice garden and swimming pool
Near beach just 1 minute walking
Can booking for dolphin boat at reception when check in
Con :Cockroachs in the bathroom
- Verified traveler (6/5): Nice to hear the ocean from your room - Very professional and friendly staff. Very nice breakfast. Towels were pretty tired-out and thin, but clean. Some very cool tile and stone design in the bath. Beautiful grounds.
- Mats (10/5): So nice and relaxed! - I stayed here for seven days in a deluxe room. The garden is amazingly beautiful and the pool is perfect. The deluxe room is great for the money and a good upgrade if you are not a backpacker on a budget. The balcony is probably the nicest I have ever seen. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The manager is very involved and a lovely person. The spa is very good. Breakfast and restaurant is also very good. The area around the hotel offers some very nice restaurants, services like laundry, tour guides, taxi, basic items and so on. I met some amazing people here that will be in my memory and heart forever.
- Verified traveler (8/5): 5 star surroundings, shame about the room - This hotel is unique in its environments. The ambience is Spiritual enhanced by the daily aroma of the incense followed by rituals of hindu worship. Staff and manager was great. Breakfast was sufficient and with choices. The pool was relaxing and the garden make the place warm and homely. It's near the beach and the morning calls by the touts for dolphins watch was incessant. So be warned about your morning walls along the beach.
The rooms more specificly 102, smelled like the toilet bowl has came loose and tainted the whole room with the aftermaths of a 'Bali belly explosions'. They changed our room to106 immediately, which was decisively an improvement to our aromatic ordeal. However, in the small hours of that morning, whilst zombie..ing my way to the toilet, feeling the light switch, I accidentally touch the earth part of the pug point and got a nasty electric shock. I told the owner the next morning and they disabled the plug point immediately.
This is a good hotel, a remarkable place to stay in... but they have a lot of maintenance work to do so that they comply to safety standard. I would stay there again without a doubt but would bring a test pen to make sure I don't get shocked again.
- Coral Ian (8/5): Happy & Helpful Staff - Staff were v helpful & prompt at fixing small things in room. Really nice sitting on balcony. Many places to eat next door. Enjoyed Shri Ganesh for food & ice coffee with icecream (yum). Brekky was good at Suma. Evening meal had a fab entree (prawns in curry sauce & prawn crackers) highly recommend - main courses pork & fish a little tough. Would definitely return to Suma - suggest washing mosquito net over bed but besides that all good.
- Hans Erik (8/5): - Helt ok hotell, med bra personal.
Bra frukost.
- Marissa (6/5): Nice staff - The staff was really nice and checked in with you every five minutes. It was nice but it was a bit too much having them constantly checking in. Bugs and mesquites every where. If you book a standard room expect to pay for for every little add on including air con, tv, hot water, and wifi. Basic things that should be included in a hotel
- robert (8/5): - Breakfast was good
Close to the beach
Nice pool
- Tibor (8/5): Jó választás - Ár-érték arányban kiváló, tiszta rendes szállás barátságos személyzettel, közel a tengerpart. Rendkivűl nehéz megtalálni, nincs táblázva, egy kis utca végén.
- martine (10/5): Tip Top - superbe salle de bain, chambre, piscine. Très bon accueil.
- Andrew (10/5): - great hotel to use as a stop over, from Amed travelling across the top of Bali.
A recommander à lovina
- Marcus (2/5): Horrible and fifty - Horrible, nothing in the description is correct. The rooms don't got anything else then a fan and a shower for midgets. Mould everywhere and I got sick after the first night and left after the second. Stayed in alot of shady places while backpacking but this was just discussing. Staff is just some small boys and girls that's running around doing nothing. If you stay here the restaurant on the hotel next door is good eat there and don't go dolfin "hunting". Last words, do not stay here!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Fint Hotel for grei pris - Bodde her 3 netter.
- SOEWIETO (8/5): need hot water machine - Great
- pande (6/5): standart - Kamar mandi kurang bersih, channel tv terbatas, handuk kurang bersih tetapi lingkungannya lumayan bersih dan staff lumayan ramah.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - If you want air conditioning, you have to upgrade to superior. The hotel itself was generally ok, the pool was nice and the room was nicely designed. The staff seemed a bit lost and overall informal to a point of rudeness. But the problem is the town. The hotel is far from the "lovina beach"--25 minute walk. And even when you get to the beach it has nothing else to offer than dolphin trips which can be done in one morning. The level of harassment is the highest that we've seen in Bali. We did not enjoy our time in this area at all.
- Verified traveler (6/5): False advertising - We felt this room was deceptively advertised. It listed a/c, which we did not have. The room was very hot and the mosquito net fell from the ceiling when I tried to bring it over the bed in the night.
- petr (8/5): - Za ty peníze odpovídající služby a stav hotelu.
- Verena (6/5): Peaceful stay - The hotel facility is very nice arranged. The rooms or better saying the bungalows have an impression of privacy. As mentioned in the subject, one felt very peaceful. The pool was nice.
Nonetheless we have to mention some bad impressions. All rooms come with an AC but as we have booked a standard room the remote control for the AC was taken away, because the definition of the hotel of standard room does not include this service. We have asked a few times to clarify this issue, as our booking confirmation listed an AC, but the personal did not really paid attention to that and ignored our request. The breakfast was poor because it was very very negligible. And we found a peace of small plastic in our food and we have draw attention to it very nicely but this was also ignored.
We would come back but only for a short stay. Though it has a good location for a Dolphine tour.
Alles is prima in orde.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Nice hotel, too much mosquito spray. - Stayed only one night during a two day tour from Ubud to Lovina and Mt. Batur. Nice hotel, but our room had been sprayed with enough mosquitospray to kill an elephant. Our clothes and all content in our baggage smelled like mosquitospray for two weeks after.
When we got there, our room category was full, so we got an upgrade. Unfortunately, the room we got was on the ground floor. The hotel offers dophin safari for 100.000 Rp per person, which is cheap. But if you book directly with the local fishermen, you`ll get your money back if no dolphins are spotted. We didn`t see any dophins, and had to leave Lovina the same day because of our tour.
The hotel is situated 200 meters from the beach, altough it`s not a beach for swimming or sunbathing.
- SToh (4/5): Terrible bed bug - Stay there on 15 Sep15. Room 14. Terrible experience. Coud not sleep whole night as bed bugs were biting me . Bed bugs were crawling from mosquitoe netting, bed, pillow casing. Must have killed at least 20 bed bugs. There were blood stain on the mosquitoe net. Show the "bites" to the guy at the lobby to request change of room. The guy was convinced of beg bugs and let us sleep at abnother room without further questions.
- Julie (8/5): Good value, nice hotel - Everything ok in this nice hotel : the room, spacious, clean, very nice little bathroom, breakfast and dinner food ok.
Little bit noisy on the morning, people from around was laughing very loudly at 7am but rather quiet in general.
- Riikka (6/5): Hyvä hotelli delfiiniretkeä varten! - Hotelli oli ihan kiva kolmen tähden hotelli. Uima-allas oli parasta erityisesti lapsiperheelle. Ystävällinen palvelu. Delfiiniveneet lähtevät ihan vierestä rannalta. Muuten hotellin ympäristö on hiljaista ja aika pimeää. Hyvä valinta delfiinien katselua varten.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Nice hotel and installation. Great staff. However standard room was too humid because of shower and bathroom setup does not allow proper drainage. This implies presence of many mosquitos inside: explains why there is mosquito net above bed.
- Siok Moy (8/5): - The room is clean. The staff is friendly. What we do not satisfy is there is no staff in reception at night and the surrounding is too dark. The hotel did not provide hair dryers (According to the staff, all spoilt.) The breakfast is normal. There are no bacon or ham or sausage in American Breakfast. It is very near to beach and there are a few restaurants around.
- david (8/5): relaxing stay. - Was long to get our room ready. And expensive for trips. Food expensive at restaurant. Rooms were in good shape, and very clean. Very relaxing, overall good stay.
- Yessi (8/5): room condition needs to be well maintained - Service is okay, every staff is helpful. breakfast is average. One thing that i took note was room condition, it needs to be renovated. Water for toilet spray was very small. Curtain was not very width so still has gap that people can see from outside. the sheet has yellow stain. the lock for window has broken. i did not feel comfortable with it. the rest was okay. hotel location is very good as they are close to dolphin sightseeing.
- evelyn chiew yun (8/5): nice stay in lovina - very good stay with very hospitality staff and with a very good location. I would happily recommend this to anyone going for lovina dolphin watch to stay here.
- pear (6/5): - First I booked at regular room and turned out there's no AC. So we have to upgrade room to an AC one. The pool is nice. The location suits for going to see the dolphin in the morning. It's very close to the beach. During our trip, there's no power for the whole city from 6-9pm. It's hella hot so we decided to walk into the city, it took us 30 mins walk to get to minimarts and the staff told us that it's a long way to go. It was dark,no light during the road. I would suggest the hotel to get the generator.
- Robin (6/5): Location & comfort - 1. Location is good as it is near to the beach
2. Disappointing about the comfort of the room as it has a bad smell throughout and the only fan in the room is not able to rotate.
3. The shower did not yield hot water.
- SITI MAZIAH (10/5): Highly Recommended! - Location was awesome. It's just 100m away to the jetty for dolphin. Few restaurants nearby with reasonable price. There's shops, spa and laundry service too. We had our spa in the hotel, it's bit pricey if you compared to Ubud & Kuta but we enjoyed it so much. Pool was great, clean and relaxing. Highly recommended!
- Meg (6/5): Peaceful, relaxing getaway - The hotel is in a peaceful street one minute walk to the beach, but 10 minute walk from Lovina proper, and I found it a relaxing place to holiday. Front desk staff encounters were a little mixed. Breakfast nice but simple and restaurant staff friendly. I spent two days in a Superior room, before moving to a Standard room for five nights. I would have found the Standard room to be a little small if I wasn't travelling on my own. Pool area attractive, and gardens lush and pretty.
The locals are friendly, and there is plenty of transport available in Lovina to take you wherever you wish to travel to extend your experiences in northern Bali (note, it takes 3 hours from Denpasar Airport to Lovina, and 2 1/2 hours from Lovina to Ubud).
- Liv (6/5): Nice hotel close to restaurants - I stayed in the deluxe room with three other friends: the staff added a single bed and a mattress on the floor. The beds were very comfortable and the room was cleaned every day. I also took advantage of the hotel spa facilities and ordered the 3 hour pamper package. The massage was amazing, as well as the facial. The manicure and pedicure was however very disappointing.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very cool - It is an amazing place, I give it five stars to everything but the cocktails, they are not worth.
- don (2/5): l
room to small, airconditioning was extra.toilet e - very disappointed with hotel amenities,no parking, shower pressure and water flow erratic, stones on floor in bathroom very difficult to walk on,toilet paper cheap and rubbishy, could only reach toilst roll with much difficulty from seat, mosquitoes, bed to small, fridge far to small and difficult to access.
- Bickers (6/5): A little dissappointing - I thought the rooms would be better than they were, they were only cleaned if you asked!!pool area was excellent as were the surounding gardens.Breakfast was ok once the understood "soft Poached egg"They badly need a commercial toaster, the one they had was PATHETIC and one was needed for each table. The one dinner we had was terrible,we had all our meals at the Warungs just outside the gates,Bintang was twice the price of everyone elses in the area.
- Dee (8/5): Nice and convenient - Very nice staff, walked to beach for the fab dolphin excursion which the hotel can arrange more reasonably than any tours on www. Room basic but works.
- Cora (10/5): A perfect relaxing stay! - Had an excellent relaxing stay there. Felt really home. The staff try to make your stay really nice. The rooms are excellent. The beach (even if not the best for swimming while boats and no sand) is 50m far from the hotel. The seafood at the restaurant is amazing. SPA treatments are relaxing and awesome after a long day. Well done!
- Pavel (10/5): Hotel in Lovina, Bali - This was probably the best hotel gem we discovered while touring around Bali. Our rooms were very comfortable with all comfort one wishes, beautiful balcony with overview of gardens with lovely swimming pool. Hotel restaurant doing delicious meals, serving with usual Indonesian courtesy and politeness, making us to feel very welcome. We also enjoyed massages arranged at their spa, and just from harbour on the beach in front of the hotel it was very easy to enjoy also early morning trip to watch dolphins. Having said this, all the comfort of practically and realistically four star accommodation was priced very decently which made us to enjoy this thoroughly.
- Starr (10/5): Charming hotel and staff - From the moment I arrived, I was treated like a honored guest. The receptionist, Anna, kidded and joked and convinced me that there were crocodiles around. (Not true). Everywhere, the staff was smiling. The grounds were impeccable and so relaxing. There is an on site restaurant for breakfast. It is open air and overlooks the garden. There are additional restaurants nearby for additional choices. The beach is nearby and the desk arranged a tour for me for dolphin watching. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It seemed very family friendly. There is an on-site spa where I had a nice massage.
