- BEE YEN (6/5): 7 nights stay - Check-in was fast but the man doing the check-in was unfriendly throughout our 7 nights stay. The chambermaids and the staffs at the breakfast corner were all friendly. Breakfast options were too limited. Soundproofing was bad, we could hear the running water when the guests were bathing in the next room. We will not stay in this hotel again in the future.

- Wanida (6/5): - The staffs were nice. The hotel location is good a few steps to Carrefour and 300 m. far from Ximending Walking Street. You can walk to Longshan temple easily in 1 km. The room was good including the amenities and services even the room was quite small due to having too many furniture stuffs inside (such as 3 big chairs, etc) It is quite over price for me 3,7xx per night for staying on Fri & Sat. as the breakfast was not variety and plain. Should be improved.

The staff was so helpful and graciously agreed to watch over part of our luggage while we were away which avoided us having to cart along more luggage than we needed for the 4 nights away. They also held our luggage after we checked out and before we left for airport. The entire staff could not have been friendlier and more accommodating. The only criticism is that while the rooms were clean and updated, the carpeting in both rooms we stayed in were old and soiled. Otherwise rooms comfortable and clean. Probably the best bed pillows we have ever slept on :-) Location was fantastic. Within easy walking distance of MRT station, restaurants, etc. Great local beer establishment right across the street highly recommended.

- Andrew (10/5): Great Hotel Near Ximending - This was my 2nd time staying here and I will continue to stay here the next time I visit Taipei. I have really enjoyed my stay here both times. All of the staff I encountered, including the front desk, maids, kitchen staff, etc., were friendly, helpful, and professional throughout my stay. There was a shower and a bathtub in my room, the room temperature was adjustable, and wifi was included. Breakfast is included every morning, nothing fancy, but enough to get you started for the day. There is one laundry machine and dryer on the top floor with detergent powder included, which was important for me because I usually visit for a week or more. The hotel's location is convenient as well, as it is only a couple blocks away from Ximen station of the Taipei Metro and the busy Ximending shopping district where there are many shopping and dining options. There is also a Carrefour supermarket nearby if you walk in the opposite direction away from Ximending, where you can pick up anything you might need. In summary, I will not hesitate to stay here again the next time I visit Taipei. I will not even bother researching other hotels.

- Alison (8/5): Nice small traditional hotel near Xiemending - Hotel is very near to Xiemending and the red house. A big supermarket is just 3 minutes away. It's only the rooms are A bit small with too many furniture ending difficult to find place to open the luggage. Breakfast isn't so appetizing.

The location is perfect as it was just a few minutes walk from Ximending district. The employees are also very accommodating and friendly. I only got a suggestion on the buffet breakfast though, if it's possible for them to add food selection.

- WINGMAN (8/5): Pleasant experience - POSITVE: Hotel is strategically located in Ximending shopping district. 5 minutes walk from Ximen MRT (take exit 1 & walk along the main road to get to hotel). Very courteous front desk staff. Basic breakfast if you need to fill your stomach before heading out. My shower drainage was choked but was fixed very quickly after I reported the issue. NEGATIVE: Remember PLEASE DO NOT throw tissue in the toilet bowl. Hotel staff informed me that toilets in Taipei cannot handle tissue paper and will choke up. Trust me; NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE :( Overall a pleasant stay/
- Frederick (8/5): As Good & Bad as I expected. - Nice room. Quiet area and, friends and helpful staff. Stayed for 4 nights with an extension to a 5th hassle free. Can’t comment on breakfast, as I missed all of them. I’d wish they have a long period in serving breakfast. Had another visitor in the hotel try opening my door one night but was easily handled. WiFi thought was ‘bad ‘ to ‘useless’ most of the time, and survived with my roaming. They didn’t have heaters in the room either, and towards the weather sudden turned cold, and froze when I wasn’t under the covers.

- Chee Meng (10/5): Must Stay! - Amazing. Lobby staff extremely helpful and professional, provided us with very good suggestions on how to travel around taipei. The room size is good, toilet is clean. Location is perfect, 4 mins by foot to ximending, Far away from the noise! The breakfast is chinese, good variety, and changes every day. There is also free use of the washing machine. Everyone here makes you feel welcomed. Will come here again!

- Verified traveler (8/5): Taipei was a cool city, & RG was a good base camp. - Pros: Excellent location (7 min. walk to Ximen Green/Blue Station, Exit 1); 7 min. walk to Ximending area; Carrefour is 4 min walk, out the door, turn right at the corner, cross the street; friendly service, both front desk and breakfast; room was spacious and had a window (as requested); complementary breakfast a plus; strong shower water pressure; soaking tub a good feature; Japanese toilet also a plus! Cons: Carpet in bedroom was drab and had a hole in it, needs replacing (but hallway was done up nicely); internet "corner" on ground floor consisted of a tiny booth, one computer; broken chair that could no longer be adjusted, broken keyboard with keys that stuck; local map featured at front desk was illegible, should create a new one with bigger and darker font and indicate names of local shops and services of interest and recommended places to eat based on personal research. Can use numbers and provide corresponding names in English and in Chinese characters.

Hotel very clean and their staffs are very friendly, courteous and informative whenever you asked for directions or POI. 5 to 7minutes walk from Ximenting shopping district and Ximen metro station. Free laundry provided. Bus station nearby and many bus routes available to most tourist destination. Carrefour supermarket opened 24/7 and located just 5 minutes away. Will definitely to stay again.

After a long day touring other parts of Taipei, you can head back to the hotel and unload your loots and then head back out to ximending shopping district or nearby nightmarkets.

- michel (8/5): Very good value in great location - Late arrival and all was in order with easy fast check-in. Comfortable quiet room. Staff spoke English and were helpful and friendly. Good wifi connection and business centre to print boarding card. Complete amenities including toilette with bidet, bath and seperate shower. Good AC. Upon check-out, Late check-out or purchase of a half day was not possible to wait for my evening flight as hotel was full. When i asked if they could store my luggage, then told me they would store it in the lobby area unless it was very small... This did not suit me so I booked a lounge at the airport instead. The hotel does not have a Space where you can hang out comfortably.

- Pim (10/5): Definitely the best of my 5-day Taiwan trip. - Had a time staying here. Location: some 5-10 minute walk from Ximen MRT. I spent two nights in Ximending area, and I'd recommend Rich Garden to anyone who wants a nice, quiet place to stay but still in close proximity to everything. Public transportation is excellent, it's so easy to go anywhere with just an EasyCard in your hand. Staffs: Very professional, courteous, and helpful. You can tell that they really are willing to help. When asked about the best way to go to Chiu Fen from the hotel after a quick google search and we were still not sure which direction would be best for out plan, the guy at the front desk (so sorry I forgot his name.) went out of his way to search and print out the how-to for us, in Chinese, and marked and wrote the keywords in English for us, so we can simply show the paper should we ever get so lost and have to ask for help from any Taiwanese who can't speak English well. And then continued to ask us if we wanted to keep out luggage there after checking out and come pick them up after Chiu Fen trip. Hotel area, furniture, decorations, in classic, traditional Chinese / Japanese style. Warm and cozy, but still elegant in its own way. Clean, well-lit, well-maintained. Room: Nice. Really, really nice. Comfy bed and pillows. Some biscuits/ crackers provided but I didn't try. Restroom and shower area are also clean. Good toiletries. The hairdryer is very small, though, and can be real struggle if you have long hair.

- William (10/5): Great Location! - located right next to Ximending. it takes us less than 10min to walk from Ximen Train Station to the hotel. within the proximity, you can spend your night shopping at Ximending till late night. Far enough from the crowded area where you can enjoy a quiet rest at night. Carrefour is located in the next block where you can find some reasonable price grocery. overall, I like the hotel service, cleanliness, breakfast spread and especially the location.

- Andrew (10/5): Great hotel near Ximending - I researched a number of hotels in the Ximending area before settling on this one, and thankfully have no regrets. I had no issues with this hotel and really enjoyed my stay here. All of the staff I encountered, including the front desk, maids, kitchen staff, etc., were friendly, helpful, and professional throughout my stay. There was a shower and a bathtub in my room, the room temperature was adjustable, and wifi was included. I enjoyed the hotel so much that I ended up extending my stay there a few additional days when there was a change in my plans, and the hotel was able to accommodate me without switching rooms. Breakfast is included every morning, nothing fancy, but enough to get you started for the day. There is one laundry machine and dryer on the top floor with detergent powder included, which was important for me since I stayed so many days. The hotel's location is convenient as well, as it is only a couple blocks away from Ximen station of the Taipei Metro and the busy Ximending shopping district where there are many shopping and dining options. There is also a Carrefour supermarket nearby if you walk in the opposite direction away from Ximending, where you can pick up anything you might need. In summary, I really enjoyed my stay here and would not hesitate to stay here again the next time I visit Taipei. I will not even bother researching other hotels next time.
