The shower floor had a dip (construction issue, I figure) which caused water to stagnate.

- CARLEY (10/5): My husband and I stayed here for my birthday. It was my first time in Vaal and it’s safe to say I will be coming back! T - Everything! From the moment we drove it, the check in and the whole stay. I loved every moment here!
- Apdoc properties (1/5): Miserable, couldn't wait to get home to have a hkt bath - We had two rooms staying for 3 nights, For all three nights, we were advised by the maintenance man to run the hot shower tap on of full hot for "30 minutes", before the water gets hot, this was not the case, besides the ludicrous waist of water, the water remained a luke to cold water shower. This remained miserable, as we attended sports functions, and a comfortable bed and hot shower. Day one we brought this to the attention of the reception who appointed us to room number 102 , where the hot water came out the tap nice and hot. I myself had a well deserved shower on one occasion but the shlep and cold of going from bottom floor to top was not desirable for the rest of the team, Especially after me returning to my 4th floor and getting stuck in the lift for a very long time with no phone, am im told, "sorry this was due to elec failure", When i numerously asked receotion if we can change rooms where we dont experience lift problems and can receive hot water same as that if room 102, I was told sure but at an extra charge. The water from room 421 came out brown from the bathroom tap, when asked for a jug of clean water for the kettle, I was told sure but we must pay for it. The rooms and staff and facilities are all pleasant but the treatment and back up plan when something goes wrong or a customer had a ligimtate complaint the treatment is appalling. I own and run a hotel in the midlands and should my customer complain about something that warrants a splution, i would be proactive. From a shocked disappointed customer Cheryl adams (snyman) No hot water, no emergency plan to lift when a customer is caught stuck inside, to reasure the fear that this would bot re acure, hence move them to a lower floor, dirty water from taps on first day.

The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are spacious, it is a great value for money. One little detail that I think can be improved. The shower on my room was a bit old and the water wasn’t going away smoothly. A bit of better maintenance would make it work perfectly.

- Sonia (7/5): My stay was amazing ,I wouldn't mind coming over and over for a holiday stay. - you can improve on your hot breakfast ,at least have other options that accommodates vegans, vegetarians and halaal individuals, you may offer a variety of textures and ensure there are vegetarian options like miso mushrooms or spinach and corn scrambled eggs. imagine staying there for over 3 days and having the same type of breakfast everyday. the room headboard were not steady n worse the beds were facing the same direction with our neighbor's so every move they made we could hear, and that was very disturbing.

- Rukiabritton (9/5): I really liked the peaceful and serene view. You just forgot all your problems. - The breakfast was awesome and good value for money. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They are attentive and listen when you talk. The whole experience was relaxing and very peaceful. Oh and the view! The only down side was the lack of pillows for the outdoor chairs and deck chairs. The TV only had the basic channels, 1,2,3 and etv. When you tried another channel it kept on rebooting. There was no bottled water in the room on arrival, and it was hot.

- Mrs Ndivhu M (6/5): Not really value for money, If customer service can be improved, then experience would differ. - The pool area was neat and tidy. - Reception ladies were not welcoming and friendly, tried conversing with them asking if they have pool view rooms available but their answers were very cold and not interested in talking to us. - House keeping team make noise in the morning by the corridor, calling each other with loud voices and we counldnt enjoy our sleep

The pool are is beautiful but you can see its crying for some dire need of an upgrade. The furniture is dated. The beds were hard and not comfy. The rooms ND bathrooms are old. Although the staff was excellent and friendly 👏
- Watson (7/5): Decent for a short stay. - We had a family room which had a separate area with a sleeper couch for the kids which was nice. The hotel is a bit dated but clean. The gardens and pool are beautiful and it's quiet by the river front. The staff were not overly helpful, and we asked 3 times for cushions for the pool loungers but never received any. It was very quiet when we went, but this meant that there was no music or vibe.

The pools, restaurants, the waiters were friendly and always welcoming. The carpets in the rooms and passages not good for people like us with allergies.
