The 2 bedroom self-contained apartment was large and comfortable for our family of 7. Waking up to the ocean view was amazing. I would highly recommend and definitely stay here again.

Lai Ha Vivian (10/5): - We are very impressed. The unit we stayed is a new renovated unit as it looked different to those shown in the hotel’s AD. Modern renovation with classy furnitures, decoration, kitchen housewares, cossy bedding, …. We particularly like the thoughtfulness of the provision of a water jug with filter, color matched pegs (!), plenty of toilet rolls, …. The building is in a superb location - closed to the esplanade & tram station. Really we can’t ask for more.

Room was dirty thou, oven had dish full of old fat in it, tub hadn't even been rinsed our.bathroom sink was blocked, owner came and fixed but blocked again. Couch was wet from being washed when we arrived. Generally needed maintenance!

Little things like only a very small drying rack for clothes forces you to use the dryer and a vacuum cleaner that didn't work properly was a little frustrating as I don't like sand inside. We booked for six adults but crockery and cutlery was only for 4. Luckily we were eating out each night.

Car park space was a little tight but manageable. The manager was very helpful when I requested additional car parking. Foxtel was an added bonus. Would stay here again.

Corrin (8/5): Perfect for families - We stayed for 7 nights with our 4 children, initially we were a little taken aback at the condition of the apartment (wet dishes in the cupboards and hairs on the bench and table) but these things aside all it really needs is a lick of paint and some updated furniture and it'd be perfect. After one day we didn't even notice. The furniture was comfy as were the beds, the view was amazing, and it was two mins from Cavill ave etc. The pool was really clean and the kids loved it. Total bargain and in the best spot. Would stay again.

Salinas Family (8/5): Good apartment, close to beach and transport. - This was our first interstate trip as a family of four, with 2 boys aged 6 and 1. We choose this apartment due to having our own kitchen/laundry, location and budget. The rooms were neat and tidy, had the option of ceiling fans or open windows and the living room had an easy to use aircon. The staff were very welcoming and provided us the privacy we like, was very helpful with any questions and assistance we needed. We would definitely visit again soon.

The room needs a good paint job and where it was painted there was still masking tape around door knobs and frames. With a good revamp this place would be fantastic.

Wendy (10/5): Great hotel - close to the beach! - The staff are fantastic, the room was quiet, neat and tidy, and well-resourced (books to read, coffee, tea, milk, toiletries, cooking utensils, cutlery, crockery, full-sized fridge, kettle, toaster, full oven with hotplates and microwave). And the motel was situated only around 100 metres from the beach.
Mark (8/5): Good Cheap Accomadation - You get what you pay for. Great location & the guy who runs it is friendly & helpful. We atyed in Jan 2017 and it was undergoing renovations with finishing touches still to be applied, e, tile edging & painting. We are a family of five and owner said all rooms consisted of 1 room with a queen bed and a second room with a single and a queen bed in it. It would have been good to know this before we booked.

No batteries in the remotes for the air con, TVs or Foxtel. Car park, despite being numbered, appears to be find a park wherever you can. Wifi is not free as advertised although is ok priced at $20 per 2 gigs.

Stef (2/5): HOW DO YOU DOUBLE BOOK??? - How do I quickly sum this up? I booked this resort about 4-6 weeks prior our holiday - only for a 1 night stay. Upon arrival at 2pm I was told I had no room due to it being double booked. Apparently the owner tried to call me. When asked when - it was several times during the hour. I had been in range and off my plane since 12pm - NO MISSED CALLS. It is beyond me how he worked out that day he was double booked and not a day or the week prior to. Prior to our arrival - knowing that at some stage he would have to do something about the situation the owner found a resort, one up from his which was 1 bedroom room (I was travelling with 5 people). I refused this option. He challenged me and told me a king bed, sofa bed and mattress on the floor will do. WHAT?!! He then went online and found an apartment for us to which he called and inquired about but wouldn't tell the other company where he was from - only to hold the room for 15mins. He showed me cash which was the difference between what I paid and what this room was worth and that he would credit expedia.com.au; I refused due to lack of trust that I wouldn't be credited and requested he called back to pay for the room himself - to which he did. The reason I chose View Apartments was predominantly due to its position being close to Cavill Mall. I only got as far as the reception area - appeared run down. Reception desk was messy and a picture of a bikini girl was on owners phone which he left on the desk when I arrived. BUSTED!

JJ (2/5): TOTALLY RUINED MY FAMILY'S WEEKEND - The condition of the "Premium Apartment Room" we booked was appalling! The moment we opened the door, we could smell stench from the toilet and that set the whole family's mood for the day. I tried looking for other hotels as I couldn't stand staying. I was willing to throw away what we paid for the room and book us in a different hotel. Unfortunately, we couldn't find any vacancy anywhere so we decided to stay after emptying two spray cans of disinfectant around the whole place. All of us were just sitting in the lounge area, not wanting to move around. I put some clothes in the washing machine (there was no detergent provided so we had to buy our own) and the hallway and bathroom ended up flooded because the washing machine was apparently broken! We couldn't report anything because it was after hours and no one was at the reception. When we got back from dinner around 10:30pm, my daughter found some half opened food and biscuits in the cupboard, obviously from the previous occupants. Then on the side of the cupboard was a half-finished cigarette! This, plus the flooded bathroom and hallway and stinky toilet, was the last straw. We packed our stuff and decided to take the one-hour drive home as there was nowhere else for us to go at close to midnight. We demanded a full refund but the hotel only gave us half of the money we paid. We let it go as we were desperate to just get out of the hotel. Sorry but if there's a rating lower than 1, it's what I would rate this hotel.

The room itself was good, although more kitchen utensils and pots are required. Beds were comfortable. If they are intending to completely renovate then they should as the curtains were falling down and the windows were old and not user friendly.
