Guest Reviews
- Ife (10/5): - Scenic and quiet property in the mountains. Staff work incredibly hard to make sure you enjoy your stay with them.
- vishal (10/5): - Beautiful property near a river, Awsum rooms & staff, Delicious spread in Breakfast and excellant buffet dinner. So many activities designed for the guests horse riding, mehndi, cooking class, bamboo rafting, cycling, traditional dress, bonfire at night, swimming pool, gym... Staff is ever smiling and co-operative.... You can easily spend 4to 5 nights here.
- Rammohan (6/5): - Services are very delayed
- Nitin (8/5): Nice stay for two days. - It was a good experience and would love to stay again there. Only thing that I feel is the food options are very less.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We had a nice stay... but the ambient temperature in this property is somewhat different from the munnar town since munnar town is located in high altitude compared to this location
- Asish (10/5): Awesome location but not appreciable service. - Rooms/Location:
6/5 [intentionally gave one extra for location]
Awesome location. Rooms series 2x1 are underground and have much better view than the 1x1 series rooms at ground level. probably hotel can do some arrangement for senior citizens to travel to and fro reception to cottage. serene and peaceful location is awsome and we really had hard time leaving.
Service:
2/5 for in room dining dining services or concierge
5/5 for housekeeping.
We stayed for 4 days and not one day we got the tea delivered even after multiple calls. nor was there any help available for luggage for senior citizens. Housekeeping service was top notch. they promptly addressed all cleanliness aspects. cleaning was swift and always helped with any request.
Food:
3/5 [Probably being generous here]
for food spread. Hardly can call it a spread. very limited choices. Dinners are only buffet with limited choice. you can take a-la-carte from the buffet items only.
5/5 for quality / taste for whatever food available.
End of the its really worth every penny to stay at this hotel even if its just because of the location.
- Ashok (4/5): Lack of security and poor guest service - I stayed in Rivulet with the good review and rating but my experience was not so good (specially the guest service and security).
1). I found the lack of security and our personal belonging (Shoes of all my family members) got completely damaged by wildlife animal overnight. I was expecting all such things to be informed to all guest when they check-in but that was not taken care. I also requested at reception to discuss this matter with manger and onsite manager didnt even bother to speak to me once.
2) Boat ride is no longer available because they lost boat in flood last year. Really??
3) None of the tanduri items are available because there tandoor is no longer working.
4) Location is too off the main road and reaching to resort is a big project (Specially in night).
5) Complementary Breakfast was good.
Overall, I had a bad experience (Mainly because of the guest service) and will hardly stay in this resort in future (Guest service matter alot for me when on vacation).
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great Views - Very clean room. Lovely views and scenery.
Well worth a visit
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Amazingly friendly staff. Every single member of the staff puts in extra effort to make your stay comfortable. Overall there are several good activities in the resort - rafting, archery, cycling etc to keep you busy and entertained. I highly recommend it.
- Pradeep (10/5): Peaceful and natural surrounding - Felt very close to nature. The nearby stream sound and view from balcony is awesome . Cottages are spacious.
It is not very close to town so you need auto/taxi to reach main town.
- Yatindra (10/5): Perfect for Munnar! - The Rivulet resort is the perfect destination in Munnar! The property is nicely located and is surrounded by a local tea plantation while being right besides a mini river flowing down from atop the hills. The villas are very spacious and the restaurant serves reasonable food with good service by the staff. Very nice place for relaxation in Munnar!
- Vivek (6/5): Not value for money. Not comfortable - People here are co-operative and friendly. Perfectly hospitable. Restaurant is decent. Recreational activities are quite good. We enjoyed carom board, archery and cards along with other games available for kids.
Coming to negatives - Rooms are not clean. Lot of spider webs. Bed Linen are having stains. Service is very slow (well there is a reason behind it. They have reception and kitchen on one side of road and rooms on other sides of road.) They have separate Cots. They claim it to be a queen bed or king bed. But that's not the case. They provide separate cots joined together for couple and family guests. Moment you get on the bed, there is gap in between.
Location is good.
Given above, whatever they charge for a royal suite, isn't worth at all. If they are charging anything below 4K, it's good. Doesn't worth a single rupee over and above that.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good hotel - Enjoyed our stay...................................
- Hemant (10/5): Good quite location - Only facility you miss is swimming pool. Good for a family holiday with kids.
- Subash (8/5): - It was amazing... nice quite getaway.. awesome views .. loved it
- Ali Akbar (8/5): Comfortable stay - It was an awesome experience with Rivulet. We have stayed in 101/102 which is the first cottage in the resort, very close to the river bank. We had a very good walk along the river bank with green mountain at the backdrop enrich our stay. The event coordinator Mr. Shihab took us the morning trekking towards the backyard mountain where he showed all sorts of spices and bamboo trees. His explanations are very detailed and very useful. All the hotel staff are very cooperative and supportive. The food served in the restaurant are very tasty and made for our choices. Overall it is an awesome experience
- Vidhyut (8/5): Beautiful Location - The hotel location is excellent to spend pleasant time in the lap of nature at river bank. Bamboo rafting is really good experience. Hotel staff is courteous and quick to serve. Its a good place to spend a day only at resort without roaming around.River view is the best part of this property.
Need some improvement for north-Indian veg dishes.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Nice property but away from Munnar town and is on low-lying area. So, temperature is hotter compared to Munnar town. Rooms are good but food could be better.
- Pravin (10/5): A perfect retreat to enjoy nature in tranquility. - The cottage was clean, with a view of the rivulet, true to its name.
A bit far from munnar city but that also means away from regular hustle bustle .
Good place to enjoy nature in its pristine beauty.
Staff is courteous, has a spa for nice massage if you want to relax your body with good ayurvedic massage.
Overall a very pleasurable place to take a few days off from your routine.
- Dr Hari (8/5): Good - Good. But away from town. Road is little difficult to drive
