SO i BOOKED ELSEWHERE, ABOUT 30 MINUTES LATER A GENTLEMAN CALLED TO TELL ME i DID SHAVE A RESERVATION, HIS WIFE DIDNT KNOW STUFF, i TOLD HIM NOT TO WORYY I WAS STAYING ELSEWHERE AT THIS POINT HE TOLD ME THAT I HAD TO LISTEN TO HIM AND THAT HE HAD A ROOM FOR ME.

Please don't waste your time and energy. I had no choice because our car transmission was broken and was not drivable.

- Ramiro (6/5): - friendly staff, but the hotel is in poor condition, as soon as I enter the room to take a shower after a highway drive, my wife killed 2 roaches and other bugs still walking in the room so we had lo leave the hotel, staff offered to change room but my wife and daughter were scared because of the bugs

The A/C was turned off upon arrival and took time to adjust the room to an adequate temperature. The refrigerator was turned down to the minimum cooling setting was warm inside upon arrival. There was a huge block of ice in the freezer part of the tiny refrigerator. There are many other undesirable features about this property. I paid $60 for a single night which is too high for such low quality.

- Camille (10/5): - Safe, peaceful. Hard floors free of carpet, dust or insects. Hygienic surfaces throughout. Almost full size refrigerator/ freezer in our room was so helpful since we travel with our own special food. Short drive to HEB and to Brackenridge Park where our Congregation event was held. Staff is helpful and adequately available. This is our second year to come, will likely come again. The price is a great value!
- James (2/5): - I would NOT stay here again. Stopped here overnight and did not have a great experience. We came late at night after calling and ensuring vacancy. With my wife and kids in the car the clerk/caretaker showed me to a room with a door that could not be locked or latched, but ensured me it would be fine to just sleep in and go. The wind could have opened that door. After refusing that room for safety reasons, he showed me to another with a working door. Great. We checked in. There is no breakfast here, that was false advertising. Rooms were serviceable, clean where they have to be, but bugs, cobwebs, water damage, etc in the corners and on walls. This place felt way more like a sketchy 1-star than a 2-star with 4.0 avg reviews. Something was off here and we were happy to leave.

Inside seamed updated and done well. Thick towels & wash rag. I’ll be returning in the future and definitely be staying here.
- Daniel (8/5): Not bad for the price. - The room appeared to be clean however it is lacking deep cleaning. Dust was visible on lamp shades and desk. AC Heating unit was new but very loud when operating. However for the price not bad for a decent night's sleep.

My curtain was messed up a little, and the chain lock was busted, but they fixed it right away. The staff was so nice and accommodating. I would stay here again for sure.
- Shayanne (10/5): 5 star customer service! - We needed a reasonable place to stay for a few nights due to an event we were attending in the area. This was one of the better places to stay from my understanding so we ended up booking a few nights there. I was amazed with the service that the front desk girl provided us with. She was very helpful and accommodating with all of our needs. The place itself is older and you should expect that it will have its flaws, but the staff there are ensuring that you have the best experience. We will definitely stay there again if we’re ever in the area.
- Robert (2/5): All's well that ends well - Well . when I arrived I was told the owners were in India and 3rd party bookings were supposed to be blocked. They did not have a room for me.The girl did find me a room at the Edna Star and they gave me the same price. Turned out better as this was a brand new unit and the room was A+. I had 2 friends that did stay at Jackson Inn and they were both pleased for what it is worth.I'm not upset as it all worked out but will be staying at the Edna Star from now on.

- Norma (10/5): Best Hotel to stay in - We came in at 3am and the young lady that checked us was super polite. I think I woke her from her sleep but she still gave her best service. I have had my share of staying in different hotels for work, pleasure, vacation but I will say Jackson inn felt comfy, homey I slept right away. Everything was great.
