Guest Reviews
- James (10/5): Excellent stay! Highly recommended! - Breakfast was excellent. Staff very helpful and friendly. Nothing
- Esther (8/5): -
- David (8/5): Recommended - Great location for exploring. Spotlessly clean. Good quality breakfast. Some areas looked like dumping grounds. Gentleman serving breakfast efficient rather than friendly.
- Robert (8/5): -
- Mary (10/5): -
- Nina (9/5): - Pyszne śniadanie zamawiane z karty. Ładna jadalnia. Piękny widok z okna. Świetna lokalizacja, krok od centrum.
- Sarah-Jane (7/5): - Fabulous breakfast - wide choice and delicious.
Friendly staff - there to greet you and look after you at breakfast.
Great location. - turn left out of the door, walk 300 yards and you're on Pultney Bridge :) Our room was 'standard' and it contained everything you required but it just seemed a bit dull, not helped I'm sure by the grey decor! It was ok for a couple of nights and we were happy living out of our suitcase but, if you stayed for a longer period I think you'd need some furniture with drawers. There is a place to hang some of your clothes.
The shower wins the award for being the smallest one I have ever been in!
For the price we paid I was expecting the room to be nicer.
- Lawrence (8/5): Convenient for The Forum - Small shower
- Andy (8/5): -
- Jane (10/5): Met all expectations.. would definitely reccomend for seeing the sights of Bath - Great location.. central to all sights.
Very comfortable stay.. staff lovely and very helpful.. breakfast excellent with amazing choice Nothing negative to say
- Mcginley (8/5): -
- Jennifer (9/5): -
- Carola (8/5): Empfehlenswertes Stadthotel - Sehr gute Lage, kurze Wege in die Innenstadt und zu Museen und Restaurants Kein Lift. Flur ist sehr hellhörig
- Adam (8/5): -

- Máté (10/5): Ha újra Bath-ban járok, biztosan itt fogok megszállni. - Imádtam, hogy az 1800-as évekbeli hangulat, ami egész Bath-t övezi, a szálláson is megjelenik. Emellett kényelmes szobákkal felszerelt. A személyzet nagyon kedves, segítőkész. A reggeli is fenséges volt.
- Annika (8/5): -
- Julienne (1/5): - The reception staff were very rude on arrival. There had been a glitch in the payment - four attempts and booking confirmations had been received online. And it was a surprise on arrival that even the fourth had not gone through.
The stay was to have somewhere in Bath instead of a burnt out home, so this was traumatising.
Never again.
- Catherine (10/5): lovely - great breakfast options
close to town center
- Jean (8/5): Very nice and good value - Very convenient to walk into town Nothing
- Denise (10/5): We really enjoyed staying at Edgar Town House - Twin room at front, nice light & airy, everything you needed. Beds comfortable with nice clean bedding. Breakfast was excellent with good choice of cooked or continental. Nice lounge where you could sit with a drink. Location is excellent, everything within walking distance. Staff were lovely & helpful. really enjoyed our stay. For us quite a lot of stairs to our room, if we stay again we will phone before hand to see if room available on lower floor. Not really a complaint as just us getting older!!!!!
- Peter (8/5): - Convenient location. Perfectly comfortable. I wasn't expecting a basement room. As it happens we were only there for one night and were out all evening, so it was fine, but we did book about 4 months in advance and our friends on the same booking had an upstairs room.
- williams (8/5): - Excellent
- karen (10/5): It was fab who make sure we requested a lower floor on booking - The accommodation itself was perfect, we had a top room floor and the view was wonderful. Breakfast was great, a good choice that could set you up for the day. The stairs up to the top floor were challenging!
- Michaela (10/5): Fantastic location great food lovely staff would stay there again - Great staff!!!! So so helpful and polite! Fantastic location Nothing!
- Mary Lou (10/5): - Pleasant staff
- JH_1978 (9/5): - I travel with my mom and we both enjoyed staying in a Regency house. We liked the breakfast with many options and gluten free bread (thank you). The room was nice, big and warm enough. The staff is very nice, helped us with the luggage up and booked us the taxi to the station.
The hotel is close to everything yet not in the rush of the city center. Perfect for us.
- Helen (9/5): - Lovely stay comfy room bathroom could do bit update breakfast was fab .Great location Shower could do with update.spot light hanging out ceiling was mended second day.
- Sarah (7/5): - Location was perfect, easy walk to the center and main attractions. Breakfast was really good and the bed was comfy. Ensuite was very small and the water pressure for the shower was weak
- peggy (9/5): - Super locatie.
- Cooper (9/5): Beautiful property, friendly staff and a lovely breakfast. - Beautiful property. Clean and well cared for. Excellent location. We were on the top floor and although both relatively fit it was a bit of an effort walking those flights of stairs. Room was too warm for myself who prefers a cooler room.
- Darren (10/5): Beautiful property, fantastic location and friendly welcome. - Fantastic location, friendly welcome and lovely accommodation. Clean well equipped rooms, lovely bathroom all in a character property close to Bath Centre. Really enjoyed our stay. On the top floor and not life but that didn't detract from a wonderful stay. It just got me fitter :-)

- Mostajir (8/5): -
- Marcus (10/5): -
- Fezile (5/5): - Great location It could be cleaner
- Bogdan (9/5): It was a classy B&B experience - Many little details made my stay relaxing: the green colour of the walls in my room, classical music in background at breakfast, comfortable lounge, overlooking a garden from the windows, wooden window shutters, smiling staff, little classy tea pots etc. The location is very central and the rooms were well cleaned. There was also a pleasant distinguishable feeling that I am staying in an old house.
- HINES (9/5): -
- alasdair (8/5): - Position for Bath City centre and attractions was perfect Room was a bit small
- Petritsi (6/5): - Only the location The receptionist was roud and the breakfast poor
- Annabelle (10/5): -
- Adepoju (8/5): quiet lodge and hospitable employees - breakfast no lift to access the last floor
- Patricia (8/5): -
- Angus (9/5): -

- Danuta (8/5): Best Street in the City - Location was superb with a short walk into the city along the delightful Bridge
The Museum and gardens and cafe in the other direction perfect for a stroll in peaceful surroundings.
The breakfast choices exceeded expectations and were delicious. Gorgeous dining room.
Rupert the manager was super friendly and helpful
Welcoming living room with comfy seats and quirky art. That painting in room 2 above the bed.
- Smith (7/5): - Location was great for exploring around bath Toilet in the room didn't work which was reported.
- Kerry (8/5): Very happy to have stayed here. - Delightful property in an excellent location. Super breakfast, lovely and very helpful staff and set in the loveliness of Bath.
- Gillian (8/5): Overall very pleasant. - I have stayed here before in a twin bed room which was very nice. Also it was on a lower floor. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good. The only room they had available was a single room which was right at the top of the house which was ok as there was only me.Upon entering the room I noticed a not very nice smell.I think they must of had damp issues as the wall paper seemed to be coming off by the long mirror.I would stay here again but not in this room.
- Blackwell (9/5): -
- Paul (10/5): Needed peace and quiet in the city centre and certainly got it. - Excellent breakfast, nice and quiet, friendly people
- Natalia (10/5): -
- Donatella (10/5): It was lovely, I would recommend - Location,
Very nicely decorated, comfortable room and communal areas.
Breakfast was very good, there were always bottles of water available to take to the room I was on the furthest room in the property and sometimes I wished there was a lift,
But gave me the extra exercise
- Huggins (9/5): -
- Lucy (10/5): Perfect! - We loved everything about Edger Townhouse. Theo was very friendly and the breakfast was fabulous. We were looked after very well and the location was perfect. Highly recommended! Thank-you!
- Melissa (7/5): Nice enough but not amazing - The property was well located and had a room available at short notice.
It was clean and comfortable and I had a decent nights sleep. Firstly, I should say that it wasn’t terrible by any means but there was definitely room for improvement.
The property is a bit dated but you can see that the owners have tried their best. Things like loose door fittings were a bit annoying and I had to slightly shift my bed to allow the bathroom door to open and close.
The staff were friendly enough but came across as a bit disinterested/bored…. They were not rude and may have just been tired or having a bad day.
Breakfast was okay but the kitchen door was left open and I observed that the kitchen seemed a bit messy and the kitchen staff didn’t have any head coverings etc. I ordered a coffee with my breakfast and my cafetière was a bit greasy on the outside.
I paid about £180 for one night, including breakfast. Upon reflection I feel that was hugely overpriced! I understand that Bath can be pricey but I don’t feel that my stay was worth the price.
I’m sorry to say that I wouldn’t rush to return but I wish the owners well and think that with a few tweaks and attention to detail, the stay could be worth the price.
- mark (10/5): Fabulous - staff, breakfast, and location 5 star service and you have to like stairs lots of them georgian buildings but very beautiful, and trainers instead of heels ladies would be handy :)) looking forward to booking again fabulous stay.
- Elizabeth (9/5): We were most convertible and the location was ideal. - Traditional but fully modernised facilities.
- Linda (9/5): We had a really good stay - Great location and wonderful breakfast The shower was very small
- Caroline (5/5): Noisy hotel in beautiful location - Superb location, room clean and spacious. Complete absence of soundproofing which led to me being disturbed by other guests. I acknowledge this is a very old and probably listed building. However, guest comfort must also be a consideration.
- Nel (8/5): - Het ontbijt met menukeuze was voortreffelijk. Prachtige locatie.
- Frank (8/5): Great place for the price and I would definitely stay there again. - Location was fantastic and the staff were friendly. Good breakfast with some variety. Staff let us keep our luggage there for the day while we walked around after checking out. If you have difficulty carrying your suitcase, ask for a lower floor because there is no elevator.
- MAUREEN (9/5): -
- Zac (9/5): -
- Anthony (10/5): - Excellent location fantastic vegetarian breakfast no negatives. Nothing.
- Dorina (10/5): Amazing place with super kind and friendly stuff! - Great place with a lovely interior and perfect location. The staff (Theo I believe) was absolutely amazing and incredibly helpful, making the whole stay a very pleasant experience. It’s also a great place for a solo stay - safe, comfortable, and relaxing. Highly recommended!
- Chris (8/5): Brilliant location, comfortable & great for a weekend stay - Perfect location, good sized rooms, comfortable and nice breakfast A little overpriced, a little dated facilities / decor
- David (8/5): - Very tidy hotel with a lovely lounge area. There is a bar available although we did not make use of this. We were told that the room we were in got very cold. Luckily we were out for the evening and so didn't have the extra electric heater on. The room ended up being so hot with the central heating that we had the window open the whole night to try to keep comfortable in freezing temperatures.
- Robert (8/5): Lovely hotel, beware the stairs though - Location, breakfast, peaceful The upper floors have a lot of stairs. It's a Regency townhouse with very high ceilings so didn't appreciate just how many stairs there would be to get to the room. I'm 68 with a heart condition so it was a bit of a challenge.. there is no lift. I would have no hesitation in staying again but would request a room on a lower floor
- Ramona (8/5): Great value for money.. - Really pleasant hotel, clean, warm, and excellent value for money. Great location easy to get around, everything close by and in easy walking distance. The staff were super friendly and really helpful. The breakfast was 10/10 ! Would totally recommend staying here to anyone. The only downside is that you can hear the people in the room next door ..! A 1.30 am wake-up call of sorts was not what I was expecting on a Sunday morning. Whilst they may have been having fun, my friend and I were not.. !
- julie (9/5): Good location comfy bed lovely towels and a fabulous breakfast.. - Breakfast was first class .. good ingredients and beautifully presented.. The curtain had come away from the rail .. but a lovely view onto the garden ..
- Charlotte (10/5): A great stay - Loved the room and the location. Really easy to get to and the staff were very helpful N/A
- Joanne (8/5): A comfortable and pleasant stay - thank you. - Excellent breakfast - good choices.
Easy walk into the city centre. Room was on the cool side. Maybe putting a blanket on the end of the bed rather than a thin sheet would be better.
- Katherine (8/5): Bit noisy from other guests but overall as advertised and a pleasant stay. - The staff was really nice and helpful. The room was clean and there were bottles of water to take to your room and tea and hot chocolate in the room. The bed was comfortable and it was easy to find from the train station. It was close to the centre for exploring and on a pretty quiet street (unless there's a rugby game lol). It was interesting to experience the exuberance. Beautiful view from the room. The room did feel a bit cramped, but I'm quite tall so a shorter person may have been more comfortable. When neighbours would return to their rooms it was loud. Just the keys in the lock and closing the door was quite noisy. I was even woken up by someone in the next room coughing. I think because I had my window open a bit and they probably did too. I didn't love that it was up five flights but you were very up front about it so I knew what I was getting into.
- Rachel (8/5): Lovely hosts and great location for the events we were attending - Convenient for centre and very welcoming Stairs!
- Lynette (10/5): Fantastic location. - The breakfast was amazing. Lovely choice and selection. I didn't like the stairs. But that's what I expected in a townhouse.
- Sutton (8/5): Excellent for short break stay. Would reccomend - Location good but I am sure when I booked the deal was breakfast included but this was not the case
- Susan (8/5): - Breakfast was exceptional
- Eddie (8/5): Friendly vibe. Good location. Appreciated being able to collect bag after check out time 👍🏻 - Cooked breakfast was well cooked and well presented. Wouldve prefered a bigger serving though. Wouldve liked more coffee too. A bigger breakfast 😋
- jenny (9/5): Comfortablr and relaxing stay in quality furnished room. Peaceful. Great lounge and fab breakfast - Wonderful to stay in the heart of beautiful Bath The bathroom fan was a little noisy though i worked out how to turn it off for the night
- Alfred (9/5): -
- Alexandra (9/5): Beautifully maintained hotel with top-notch service and amenities. - I had a wonderful stay at this charming hotel in Bath. The location is perfect—just a short walk from the city center and major attractions, yet tucked away enough to be peaceful and relaxing.
The interior décor is tasteful and elegant, with a clear attention to detail that creates a welcoming atmosphere. Everything is immaculately kept, from the rooms to the common areas.
One of the standout features was the breakfast— excellent. The bathroom was a bit too small.
- Vera (8/5): We had a lovely time and would return if a room on a lower level could be found - Breakfast was excellent plenty of choice. The stairs were the only negative. We were on the 4th floor and although the cases were carried up/down to our room we found the stairs a drawback.we had a lovely
