The room I ended up staying in hadn’t been updated since the motel was first built and I suspect that is true of all rooms. I had to go and buy an extension cord because thee were no outlets near the head of the bed. I only stayed one night instead of the three I had booked. The price reflects the quality.

- Jennifer (6/5): - It was what we needed for the weekend, an inexpensive place to sleep while we visited family and had fun on the beach/boardwalk. The mattress was terrible; uncomfortable, and had multiple springs poking through in various places. The comforter had a few pieces of broken glass on top of it, and there were various stains and mildew and other issues around the room. We didn't get a chance to try the pool. The breakfast offerings were unappealing. At least the ice machine worked. For what we paid, it was what it was, and we now have a funny story to tell.

- Jason (8/5): - Stayed in atlantic city for a few days and desided i wanted to check out ocean city be 4 i left the reviews i read here weren't good but i was solo and the price was great so i said why not.. is it the resort with a ocean view i had in atlantic city of course not but the people talking bad about this place are wrong the staff was friendly the pool was clean theres stores bars restaurants all with in waking distance and the beach is across the bridge!!small breakfast in the morning room was clean its not a 5 star hotel by no means but it did the trick and if im back in the area i wouldn't think twice about staying again.

- Nancy (2/5): Econo lodge nightmare - Horrible when we got to our room it smelled horrible , we had no hot water( let it run for 20 minutes). Telephone was dead couldn't use to call office . Tv had no signal did not work at all. Lights did not work over the bed. Towel )just one) was so thin it wasn't usable. We slept with our clothes and shoes on as it was 11 o'clock at night. We checked out in the morning, but they refused to give us our money back. Man at desk was extremely rude, refused to call manager and Slammed the door in our face. Don't stay there! They should be reported, for violations!!!

It needs a match and a can of gasoline. Their pictures must be stock photos. The tiles on our bathroom floor were peeling up. When you flush the toilet the bathtub would gurgle. There was some kind of white stuff on the floor and wall in the bathroom. Dust was stuck all over the popcorn walls and ceiling. The fridge was leaning on a n angle. The list goes on. Good luck of your stay here.

- Heidi (2/5): Horrible - My husband was bit by some type of bug in our bed first night. His whole ankle swollen to where the redness was going up his leg. Floors were not clean and boards were coming up to where we hurt ourselves trying to walk on it from it being pulled up. Bugs in window sill were ridiculous. Not a place I’d recommend at all. If I could get my money back for the ridiculous price I paid for the rundown place I would. Manager was nice but overall place was disgusting. Not at all what they show on pics

But the property is just too out of date and not very clean. It would be fine for young families with young kids because it had all of the necessities for a decent price. But we were 5 adults over 60. We prefer clean,updated facilities.

Came into a puddle of water on floor between bed went to front desk they sent someone to mop up explained they replaced a/c it was leaking. Laid down for 1/2 hour when I got up the puddle was back went back to desk and they acted like I was bothering them. The guy who came to clean up dry mopped and lined the one bed frame with towels and left, he acted like we should have cleaned it up are selves. The beds were comfortable and quiet for being on main road. Wasn’t expecting 5 star accommodation, but what ruined it was the attitude they gave about making something right that was wrong.

- Keith (4/5): Extremely dirty - Office staff friendly, pool wonderful but room was disgusting. Bathroom was extremely gross i spent about 30mins cleaning it. Kitchen was full of ants and wasn't equipped with anything. Floor left our feet black. Asked for cleaning surfaces and more towels, no one ever showed up. We ended up having to take out our garbage multiple times to the dumpster. Bedroom had a large hole in the wall. Continental breakfast included hardboiled eggs, toast and cereal.
- Dominique (8/5): Close to the beach with free breakfast - This is our third stay at this hotel. It’s close to the bridge to the beach, local shopping, and there’s a nearby play that my kids love. The staff remembers my family for being repeat guests. They’re really friendly! The beds are relatively comfortable. The rooms are a good size. A small breakfast is provided with your stay. And there’s a pool open long hours. Can’t complain much for the price you pay, the space isn’t bad. Good little beach town motel.

Have stayed here before and that was not the case. Also some azzhole wanted my parking spot and had the manager came knock on my door to move my truck…as if there were assigned parking.
- Felicia (2/5): MOSQUITOS FEMINIST FRONT DESK MOLD - Hi! I'd like to add some details to my story. When I arrived at this motel and enter my room I could smell a heavy scent of Lysol and incense. I immediately saw mold on the furniture and then when I opened the bathroom door there was at least 6 mosquitos flying around! So I went right back to the front desk, told him everything and he, without getting up, called for his employee to take me to another room to see if that was better. It wasn't. It was the exact same except without the incense smell. I repeatedly told him I don't think I could stay there, I felt uncomfortable and unsettled but he insisted that I look at other rooms, so I did. It was about four in the afternoon at this point and I tried to find other hotels to go to, but it was very hard expense wise and the fact that I had my dog. In all, I stayed one night. Sprayed disinfectant everywhere and lit a citronella candle over night. The next morning I woke feeling groggy with a headache and stuffy nose, and back pain due to the super squishy bed. But, I went about my day, coming up on 5pm I came back from the beach and needed a shower. I had NO hot water! I took an entire COLD shower, not even warm at all! I KNOW how to turn on hot water, it was the same at the sink! So, a different man at the desk had told me I didn't know what I was doing and that there was infact hot water. He didn't even get up to come check it for me! I told him the guests next to me said the same as well. I left it at that and went home!
- 365rosemaryj (2/5): Absolutely Awful Experience – Avoid at All Costs - I made a reservation months in advance for July 4th, and when I arrived with my family late at night, we were shocked to find out they had canceled our reservation without any reason and sold our apartment to someone else. The appearance of the property was already disappointing—run-down and completely different from the photos—but what really ruined everything was their complete lack of professionalism and respect. We were left with nowhere to go in the middle of the night on a holiday weekend, when everything nearby was fully booked. This experience was not only frustrating but also deeply upsetting for my whole family. I’ve never been treated so poorly by a hotel. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Terrible service, misleading listings, and absolutely no accountability. This was one of the worst travel experiences I’ve ever had. Booking.com and Expedia.com should remove this property from their platforms immediately to prevent other families from going through the same terrible situation.
- Cesar (2/5): please dont go here. just please. dont. - Terrible! As soon we got into the room, it smelled like cigarettes, actually EVERYWHERE smelled like cigarettes, even the beds! The floors were dirty, the blankets had holes, the door looked like its was literally about to fall off. When we got breakfast, there was barely anything and no water. And the sink smelled like mold, I do NOT recommend this motel to anyone.

While the bedding was fine, when I looked to see if there were any bedbugs, the mattress was stained (including with blood). My son's room smelled of cigarettes and marijuana and the floor was 'squishy' and uneven...with a phone on the floor in the corner - with half of the electrical exposed. The bathrooms were a little 'sketchy'...not a place where I would have been comfortable showering. I would not recommend this hotel!

- BRIDGET (6/5): - Staff and owner were very nice. The property itself is way overdue for an update. The hotel rooms that we stayed in were passable but if you like things perfect, this is not the place for you. The pool looked pretty but it was not heated. Pool can fit maybe 30 people at most . No towels provided for the pool, need to bring your own. There were barely enough towels for the us in the suite . For a two bedroom suite (1 king bed, 1 queen, 1 twin and 1 pull out couch, we were given three large towels and three small towels. Toiletries provided were below quality. Just Shampoos/conditioners that came in sample like foil packets, no toothbrush or toothpaste , no lotion. The tub by looks we thought was a jacuzzi but the jacuzzi didn’t work. There was no stopper for the tub. And the hot water lasted maybe 10minutes. The bedsheets were very thin, scratchy. Pillows were okay. One thin flannel blanket for twin bed. They use top sheets as fitted sheets. Bedspreads have to be 30 yrs old, horrible material and pattern. Dollar store coffee maker in room but no coffee station, just the maker. All the tiles in kitchen floor were broken/cracked. No hairdryer or drying racks. Ants in the kitchen. Shelves in fridge kept falling off. Breakfast included was Frosted Flakes or fruity pebbles, milk, Tang, cheap coffee and coffee creamer. Cheap white bread and quarter pieces of frozen waffle. Dollar store peanut butter and jelly, hard boiled eggs. Walmart brand tea bags. 6 oz cups for drinks.
- Amy (8/5): - We stayed in a 2-bedroom unit, which are separate from the “regular” rooms, so this review is specific to that room type. Pros: 1. convenient location (10 minute drive to OC beach, boardwalk). 2. Price - specifically, the amount of room you get for the price. The unit had three beds (two kings and a twin) as well as a fold out couch. Two bedrooms. Full kitchen. Tub with jets (didn’t try it). All this, and I booked in the spring for a June stay and paid less than $100 a night. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. If you want to go to the shore on a tight budget, and you’re not incredibly fussy, this is the place for you. Cons: it’s grubby. Not disgustingly dirty, but definitely far from sparkling clean. Everything is very old. The tile in the bathroom is cracked. Beds and pillows were clean, but could do with replacing. Nothing was terribly uncomfortable, but just old and worn. I’d suggest bringing your own pillows and blankets for comfort. There’s no daily housekeeping, but we had no trouble exchanging clean bath linens during our multiple day stay. My only real complaint about housekeeping would be that your trash adds up when it’s not emptied in a few days. There were “wall” AC units in both rooms, and the temp was fine but it was very damp. The units are very loud. But you don’t hear the neighbors at all! The pool actually looked really clean and well maintained, though we didn’t try it.

- Verified traveler (8/5): An inexpensive stay - I know this was going to be a lower class day, but I was delighted to have a refrigerator and a microwave. I use scented candles and room spray to make the stay enjoyable. The shower was hot in the morning, which was very refreshing. I did feel the need to buy some disinfecting wipes, too freshen up the place before I unpacked. The air conditioner kept the room at a very comfortable temperature. I was able to access ice. There is a Wawa right across the street for any other needs. You might have. The pool looked very inviting, but it was too cool.

I always bring blankets to sleep on just incase of bed bugs and i didn’t get bit (if there were even any) there were no mosquitoes like many said it was just an older inn so it just looked a little outdated but overall just needed a place to sleep and that’s what i got not bad

Unfortunately though, we found dog poop almost by our door, every morning(we stayed for three days) I came out to walk our pups, there was garbage in front out room. Other than that, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and we had a fridge, stove and a microwave. The shower was clean the water was very welcoming. Overall it was a very good stay.

- Betty (4/5): - You get what you pay for. I stayed for 5 nights. They didn't come at all to clean the room. Their idea of breakfast was coffee, bread for toast, PB&j, and two choices of cereal with only a gallon of whole milk to pour into your cereal. I can't drink whole milk and I don't drink coffee so I had no alternative but to go out. The heater also didn't work very well. I had to keep the thermostat close to 80° just to be comfortable when I usually have it at 70° or 72°. About the only good thing I can say about this hotel is the location.

Ran the hot water for over 10 minutes ,it finally did get luke warm ,maybe. Air conditioner , Noisey , came on about every 15 minutes . We planned to get up early 5:30am but we were awake off and on from 1:00am , never needed our alarm. But for the price ,and for one night ,Not that bad .

Everything is very rundown in the curtains hanging on the windows are in rags. The hot water and cold water were backwards Even though it was offseason, lots of people driving onto te property and leaving. Noisy at night.

- Patricia (2/5): - The saying is: " you get what you pay for". In this case, it was a moldy smelling room with soft mushy cracking floor and other disgusting dirt. I would highly suggest avoiding this property. Also, it is not handicap compliant.
- S2784CHjohnp (2/5): Disgusting!!! - We didn't even unpack our bags. Our room was FILTHY!!! When we went to check out and request a refund, we were told we couldn't get a refund (we would have to talk to the "manager" the next day) and they said since we booked through Priceline they wouldn't even give us a receipt. I am guessing that some of the positive reviews left on Google and Priceline might be fake because this place is Disgusting with a capital D. We are not perfectionists or people with extremely high expectations just normal people who wanted a little get away on our budget. Extremely disappointed.
- Jeremy (8/5): Decent spot - Nice little spot close to OCNJ. Wasn’t anything special but clean and quiet. Has one level surrounding a outdoor pool

- Edith (4/5): - Bugs in the sink. Staff gave me a can of RAID to keep. I sprayed the sink several times daily but the bugs kept coming. Mattress needs to be discarded. Lumpy from over-use
- Cheryl (6/5): - You get what you pay for. It’s cheap & convenient. Sheets a bit stained (but clean), bathroom door gets stuck, and have to run water for 5 min before it gets hot. We were only staying one night so it worked, but could use some updating.
- Tim (2/5): - Check in was great, pool looked nice and clean (didnt use it). The place is rundown(understaded) floors, bed, ac, tv, etc...no hot water at 2pm in the afternoon, window didnt lock, etc. Didnt spend the night, checked out to find another place... i know its very cheap but now i know why.

- Weston (8/5): - We needed a place last minute and at a reasonable price and found that yhe Economy Hotel was within a 5 minute drive of the beach in OC NJ. It had free breakfast and a pool for the kids to enjoy while we were there. Had fun
- Tabitha (10/5): - First, this is not the Ritz, so let’s not compare it to the Ritz. It is called the Economy for a reason. But that doesn’t make it bad. The rooms are clean, the people who own it are nice, the pool is great, and it is close enough to the beach and food, and all the other things you want to access in Somers Point — all for a hundred plus dollars per night. And it’s totally dog friendly. We have stayed there a few times and will stay there again.

Hot and cold water hooked up backwards in both bathroom sink and tub faucets. Drapes in poor condition, not covering windows properly. Clean swimming pool.

- John (2/5): - The room was extremely dirty, everything was sticky and disgusting (including the sheets). The window in the kitchenet wouldn't lock. The tiles in the bathroom were all cracked and held together by caulk and sheet vinyl. Don't stay here.
- BionciA (2/5): DO NOT STAY HERE. DISGUSTING - DO NOT BOOK HERE! The rooms are disgusting and the employees do not care. They allow customers to smoke in the rooms then tell you that there is no smoking. The room they tried to have us stay in had cigarette burns on the bed cover and stains all over it. The room smelled horrible, no amount of Lysol or cleaning would fix it. They said they couldn’t refund because the manager wasn’t there then when you call they act like they don’t know when the manager will be in again. Save the hassle and book somewhere else.

- Marie (2/5): This place is GROSS! - I can handle old decor and less than perfect conditions, but this place was filthy! There were old-style mouse snap traps and mouse poop under the kitchen sink. There were hole cut in the cabinets under the sinks where they had clearly leaked and a lot of mold left behind. The room smell so bad like cigarette smoke, I was concerned all of our belongings were going to smell like it. We would have left but we had nowhere else to go. Stayed one night and will NEVER go back.
- Amber (2/5): - Bed bugs! My family and I had a week vacation, we booked this hotel because it was priced good and it looked decent in the pictures… WRONG! My dad started to get random bites around his neck and arms. We just thought he was getting bit by mosquitoes until he saw bugs crawling and jumping on the bed. When they reported it to the front desk, not a care in the world. They shrugged their shoulders. Absolutely disgusting. Never going back there.

- Scott (8/5): Really liked this place! - I really like old strip hotels near the beach, reminds me of being a kid. I really enjoyed this place. I was midweeks I would probably wasn't as busy as it usually is but I got into my room right away, was in the pool wasn't too crowded. I guess things for me in a hotel or that the air conditioning works at the shower is good I took two good hot showers with lots of pressure so had a really good stay and would go back again
