• Lysena (8/5): - This hotel is in a great location! It is clean but most importantly the people are very welcoming and friendly. I have limited mobility and made my way here from the airport with no assistance- the map/directions they gave me were perfect. I was staying at the apartment and they had me rest a bit-gave me a little juice and had a staff member drag my bags for me with a stop to get a few supplies. Just great. The apartment was sweet and quiet. You have to clear one bridge to get there- then 5 steps and another 9 steps to get in. Each bedroom also has 2 steps-just a FYI.
• Safiyyah (10/5): - We loved our stay at Da Bruno Homes! The staff were very friendly and helpful, helping to carry some luggage and show us the way to the apartment from their main hotel, providing a map and pointing out useful landmarks. The accommodation itself is in a quiet lane and near the hospital (the most beautiful I have ever seen!) which is right next to Church of San Giovanni e Paolo - and there are lovely restaurants and cafes in the square. I highly recommend dining at Trattoria Bandierette which is a short stroll from the square of the hospital and church, for its excellent food and staff. It is easy to get to Saint Mark's Square and there are plenty of walkable streets to explore. A tip for transport back to the train station which Da Bruno told us about - take the 4.1 or 5.1 ferry from F.te Nove "C" which is much closer to walk and far less busy than the ferry from Rialto! If I ever return to Venice one day I will be booking with Da Bruno Homes again.

• Laura (10/5): Good for our family - This is an apartment located in a very centric location. It is a lot of stairs, but this is no different than anywhere else in Venice. The property has A/C in both rooms, so we kept cool in the heat wave we faced. The only issue with Venice during this time of the year are the mosquitoes. There is nothing to do about that, other than being prepared for it. There will be a LOT of mosquitoes wherever you go, including the property.

The location is right in the heart of all the action with restaurants, shopping and the supermarket close by. This time of year (august) was very hot and extremely crowded, but thats Venice!! It was a little confusing getting from the train station to the property but if you have google maps it can be worked out. Lucky we had our teenage kids with is to navigate the maze of cobble streets. The kitchen was well equipped with a very good quality stove and oven and cooking utensils. The air conditioning worked well and the beds were comfortable. Overall a very good stay and Inwould recommend.

Just a heads up, the Venice limits on air conditioning made the apartment stuffy, but that is not the company's fault, just Venice's rules. The apartment is conveniently located, offering a lovely view of the canal, and is genuinely charming.

• GINALYN (10/5): - We stayed at Bruno Homes as a family of five and had a truly wonderful experience. The location was central, making it easy to explore Venice on foot. The apartment itself was very comfortable, spacious enough for all of us, and well-equipped for a family stay. One of the highlights was the gorgeous view of the canal—a classic Venetian scene right outside our window. It added so much charm to our stay. On top of that, the staff were incredibly prompt and responsive, always available when we had questions or needed assistance. This place really exceeded our expectations in terms of comfort, convenience, and service. A real gem in Venice, especially for families looking for a relaxing and well-located base. Highly recommended!

• Tara (8/5): - Getting off the ferry, be sure to follow the directions carefully. Although the property isn’t far, if you’re unfamiliar with the area, carrying a lot of luggage, or it’s very hot, it can feel like a bit of a trek. We stayed in one of the units, which was spacious and very well-equipped. To get there, you walk through a small alley that generally felt safe. The apartment had everything we needed and was perfect for our stay. We loved the location; it was within walking distance to everything we wanted to see and do. The unit itself was quiet, except for the early morning runner in the apartment above us who woke us up daily. We really appreciated the Airbnb-style accommodations combined with the convenience of a hotel reception.

In the advert it made it sound like the apartment was just across from the hotel, when in reality, it was quite a long walk. My dad is using a stick to walk so having a 10/15 min walk from the hotel and then being put on the second floor was not ideal even though I had messaged the hotel beforehand about this! It was perfect location as it was central but again the condition of the apartment did not match the price we paid. This was a little disappointing!

It was really accessible and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful during our stay. The apartment we stayed at was very spacious and we were pleasantly surprised how well equipped it was (iron, ironing board, coffee machine, dishwasher, clothing rack and pegs, kettle, safe). I would definitely recommend charming venice apartments for a group of friends/family who are staying in venice for more than a few days, it's one of the best accomodations in the area for it's price!

It's pretty noise since it faces a bar, plus a lot of tourists walking around. the main bedroom was so smelling so that I have to sleep on coach in living room. Also, we have to open windows all night because of smelling, which was part of reason outside noise could not be blocked.

It was a short walk to St. Mark’s Sq, boat tours etc. My problem with this apartment was that it was three flights up, with no elevator. It was also down a small, dark street (alley) with no light on the outside of the house. You had to use your phone to light the front door in order to find the lock.

Towels were not changed nor bedding the 3 nights we stayed there- white, with kids., no cleaner came to clean the apartment . The sofa bed as you opened it, pop corn fell out from obviously previous people. The shower cubicle was soooo tiny you couldn’t turn or bend down to pick soap or dry in it. It’s starting to mould too. The shower had a weird string they put on it to- ? Why? Slow down the flow of the water, it’s ridiculous The floor even though it had been swept it hadn’t been mopped properly as they was mud stuck to it which appeared to have been there for days. The rug near the toilet needs a clean. As you walk into the apartment you are greeted with cracked walls, looks dirty and horrible. Please sort out the mess before putting this apartment out for renting. It’s far away from the main hotel too. It’s so noisy where it is, up to 1 am in the morning then the noise starts again at 7am. I guess it’s true what they say- cheap is cheap, but that’s no excuse to rent out an apartment like that. I wouldn’t recommend it and I’m normally easy going.

Apartment had all amenitys you need and service was very nice too ...untill myslef and two of my friends got the bed bug bites after staying in the Venice Charming apartment. I had informed hotel staff to investigate it but got no reply so I am very disappointed in otherwise very pleasant stay.
• QC (4/5): - We chose the roof top terrace and was told it was non smoking but there was another tenant with access and used it to smoke. The furnishings are very old and lumpy and uncomfortable. You may also crack your head a couple times. The lift was out 2 days in so we got much exercise. Location on if you can find it. Restaurant downstairs excellent

• Dan (6/5): The West Nile Window - Perfect location. Beautiful and spacious. Yet, there was a broken window that let mosquitos feast on me one night, leaving me with a sleepless night and West Nile on my way back home. The window must have been broken by a prior guest, and the location of the window was hidden enough, so that the cleaner likely missed it. Regardless, this made my stay very, very unpleasant. Everything else was great though, so I hope they fixed this window for future guests.
• Verified traveler (6/5): - The apartment is in a very convenient location close to everything but in a quieter area of Venice. Its just next to a canal which can be charming but having been there during high tide a little inconvient due to flooding. The overall flat is well equipped but lacks cosy feeling and the kitchen could be updated.
• RFSJ (10/5): - The staff at La Bruno Hotel, which manages this property, were the best. They sent emails when I booked explaining how to check in, since it's not at the hotel itself, they send someone to meet you near the hotel and walk you there to let you in, show you the features, etc. And they were were very very helpful in helping to arrange my transportation back to the airport on a very early Saturday morning. This particular apartment it was really nice - 2 bedrooms, could probably sleep five if desired. It was a full kitchen and even a washer/dryer combo. The location was fine, especially if you want to experience a little off the beaten path of Venice, although it's about 5-10 minute walk to Ca-D'oro, the nearest waterbus stop on the Grand Canal. There is a supermarket, a newsstand, a cheese shop, a wine store, and a fruit stand all within one block or so of the apartment. I'm not sure how many properties the hotel manages, so you might not get this particular one when you book. But my experience was excellent, and I recommend La Bruno highly.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Bathroom door has no lock and rude housekeeper - The apartment is huge for a family 5. Clean and maintained. However the bathroom door has no lock or the knob hasnt been changed for decades. It's very uncomfortable when your inside doing your business and someone opens the door not knowing you're inside because it has no lock as Ive said. That is so annoying and we dont understand why the management (Hotel bruno) doesn't care at all to change its bathroom door knob for guests' comfort. And plus their housekeeper needed to be taught customer service for she looks intimidating and rude. Her acts were so unprofessional like watching us while dragging our luggages down because the apartment is on the 2nd floor and no elevator and her hands on her waist and seriously looking on us. Where like what's the problem of this pesky woman. Overall, this apartment is not recommend able.

I can't thank enough to hotel staff Francisco who helped me finding Doctor to visit our apartment room, and brought him and took us to right front of emergency room. He was our Saint. I wish we did not have emergency situation, but it was wonderful place to visit. I would like to visit Venice again and book this apartment again.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Large apartment close to Rialto and San Marco - We stayed at the apartment for 6 nights in February 2018, for the last few days of Carnevale. The checkin at hotel da Bruno was polite and friendly and someone accompanied us to the apartment. Excellent location just the other side of Santa Maria Formosa, which is 5 minutes from Rialto Bridge and 8 minutes from San Marco. Two spacious bedrooms, a large living room and a smal kitchen and bathroom all lead off from a spacious entrance hall. The kitchen was really well equipped and the apartment had good wifi and the heating works really well. There are nice canal views from the windows and the location is central but peaceful and quiet with good cafes and eateries very close by. All in all a very comfortable relaxed stay.
