• CINTIA CITLALLI (10/5): - Las instalaciones, las habitaciones y las áreas están limpias, la alberca y su temperatura es excelente. Felicitaciones por la limpieza. También la atención en recepción es buena. El servicio del restaurante es lento, el tiempo de atención en sentarme a la mesa y la entrega, cobró o la atención del mesero tardaba más de 20 minutos. Incluso para pagar tuve que ponerme de pie y acercarme a la caja porque ningún mesero apareció en 20 minutos. Podrían mejorar en esto. Agregar una malla sombra en la alberca también estaría bien.

• Raúl (6/5): Áreas de oportunidad - Me comentaron que no estaba pagada mi estancia y después de un rato se arreglo eso; soy socio silver y en teoría me darían bebidas gratis; no me ofrecieron ninguna, los baños viejos, la alberca no es climatizada y el jacussi le falta mantenimiento ; no todo es malo, el lugar es hermoso, naturaleza pura.

After that time you are on your own with no place to go buy food

Las observaciones yo tuve es que yo tenia que trabajar en línea y fallo mucho la conexión. Y también que yo habia pagado plr una habitación al pie de planta por la vista y me dieron otra.
• Raffael de Jesus (10/5): Excelente opción para relajarse en la naturaleza - Hermoso Hotel con muy bonitas vistas al Lago de Chapala a un precio justo, nos gustó mucho el lago con patos, la comida y las instalaciones en general. Como un plus nos dejaron hacer Check Out un poco más tarde. Muy recomendado, lo único que no nos gustó fue que el agua caliente de la ducha se terminaba muy rápido y el Jacuzzi exterior solo 1 día se mantuvo con agua muy caliente.

• PapaMarkie (8/5): An interesting place - I went as part of a retreat for an organization. It was strange that the 12 of us were the only people there (it was the middle of the week and perhaps a little out of season). Rustic but clean. Room I was in and had 2 queen size beds and the linens were nice. They even had little soap and shampoo things plus provided 2 bottles of water. Only issue I had was not being able to lock the windows. Others in the group had the same issue but having been here before, they were not concerned. I also wanted the windows open for fresh air instead of air conditioning. I'm not sure what the answer is. Food we had was excellent and very nicely presented. Beautiful grounds. Will consider going there for a weekend with my wife. Be AWARE ...1. You need to look carefully for the turn off. It is at the end of a long seemingly desolate street. 2. It seems to be a popular place for events such as weddings, etc., so be certain of what is happening before going.
• JOSE (10/5): Another great stay at Quinta San Carlos. - A group of 7 siblings took a road trip last year and we happenned to find this little jewel of a hotel by accident as the one we had chosen was not available. We had a 2 night stay and we all fell in love with this beautiful property. We enjoyed it so much we decided to do it again this year and had just as great a stay if not better as this time around most of the construction that was being done last year was completed and we were able to enjoy the full completed property. Service and staff was just as great this year as well. We even had a very "tour" from our fantastic housekeeper and that just put the icing on the cake. We got to see most of the larger suites and other areas of the hotel we did not know were there, which are ideal for weddings and large group or company functions with several master suites and plenty of additional salons for functions and events. We also had the opportunity to get to know the nearby towns which are maginal as well. Another great visit to Quinta San Carlos

• Rodolfo (6/5): Hotel con baño en habitacion deplorable - El hotel cuenta con unas áreas comunes preciosa, pero en la habitación cuenta con un baño no aseado y pésimo diseño, ya que en la regadera nos encontramos con una bola de cabellos, así como una regadera donde tienes que estar literalmente pegado a la pared de las manijas para poderte bañar, un sistema de desagüe malisimo, ya que al no tener correctamente el desnivel, se queda toda el agua.
• sor (8/5): とても静かなホテル - Ajijicに泊まろうと考えましたが、思ったホテルがなく、ここへ。 思った以上に、田舎で、良く言えばとても静か、悪く言えば、ホテルのそばには飲食店もお店もなし。。。 ホテル自体はきっと、改装したであろう造りでところどころ惜しい部分もありますが、まぁ、メキシコなので、そこは許容範囲。 19号室だったので、一番いい部屋なのかな？と思いましたが、（唯一の3階の部屋）、バスタブや水回りの古さは否めません。 ベッド周りや清掃は行き届いてました。 冷蔵庫がなかったのが、不便でした。

• Borgesc5lm (8/5): A gem of a Hotel - The hotel is a gem. The grounds are beautiful with gorgeous views of the lake. It has solid WiFi through out the property. The breakfast had a nice selection of fruits and an omelette cooking station. The front desk staff was very helpful in getting me a reasonably priced taxi to the airport at 5 am. The driver (Angel) was very friendly and very knowledgeable of the surrounding area. I made it to the airport in 45 min without any traffic. Now, don't be discouraged on the way to this place, the road is rough to say the least but trust that once you arrive it will be worth it!!

• Verified traveler (6/5): Needlessly falling apart.... - Beautiful grounds and a nice restaurant on site but the rooms...first one was riddled with ants falling from the ceiling onto the beds (and everywhere else) and, after we switched, the second was laden with mold on the leather headboards (didn't realize this until the middle of the night after walking up totally congested). Also, in general, there's no maintenance happening in the rooms: missing aerators, towel racks falling out of walls, door locks don't work, blinds torn to shreds, window hardware falling apart, aerators and shower heads completely corroded/mineralized, loose handles, etc., etc. All of which is really too bad given how little it takes to address these kinds of issues. So, in summation, the place is worth about 800 pesos a night, no more. Paying more than that just isn't right.

Los puntos a mejorar son: Con respecto a la habitacion que me tocó: no tenía candado de seguridad para cerrar desde adentro de la habitacion y la conección de los cables del ventilador de techo queda visible. Con respecto al restaurante: el servicio de desayuno incluido esta muy sabroso pero muy limitado ya que se les había terminado el pan dulce. Siendo estos detalles menores, por supuesto que volvería a ir y lo recomiendo ampliamente.

• Robyn (4/5): Not again! - The hotel grounds were lovely. The pools we were going to enjoy were not heated. Please DO NOT expect to eat there. The portions were small and they were not the Mexican food we love. After waiting for 30 min for a drink then feeling hungry after dinner, we did not eat dinner there again. We thought the breakfast was included but were given a bill. When we questioned this they didn't speak English. We won't be returning.
• RoaminRod (8/5): A gem on the lake shore - We selected this venue for two business conferences over a period of a week. Ricardo the manager was excellent and kept a personal interest in our every need. The service was excellent and the hotel was very accommodating to our special requirements and timing. Rooms were great and food was very good. Lovely setting and views. We will be back again in January for three more conferences. Seems a great place for weddings too as each weekend preparations were being made.
• Nancy (10/5): A little piece of heaven.. - We spent a night here on our way to our permanent destination in Mexico. What a totally magnificent place. The room was gorgeous, the grounds amazing. The manager was was very friendly and helpful. A perfect setting for a romantic get away. I will return for sure!!
• jonathann174 (8/5): very nice place to stay - the hotel has a gorgeous garden and they have a lot of tasty plants of chile piquin everywhere, you have to try it, they have tasty hamburguers, the service is ok, also the view is quite something special, very romantic, buuuut is far far away from the town and restaurants I recomend this hotel to spend a romantic weekend (if you know what I mean)
• shannonc689 (10/5): Paradise in Paradise - I live in Chapala and consider it to be paradise. This hotel is paradise in paradise! I had my breath taken completely away. It is well maintained with a courteous and knowledgeable staff, and you cannot beat the grounds. Ricardo, the general manager was a delight to visit with and truly understands what guests are looking for. Cannot say enough good things!
• PatH554 (4/5): Horrible lunch service! Don't get me started on the flies! - Went today to check out the place for a possible future weekend get-away.....doubt that will happen now! Nicely greeted by a Front Desk person. Plus one. Beautiful grounds. Plus two. Nice looking outdoor dining area by the pool. Plus three. Hundreds of flies on the unbused tables from breakfast or early lunch. Minus one. Took 20 minutes for the one waiter to come over. Then he brought one menu at a time. Minus two. Minus three? 45 minutes for a drink! There was only one other table of 6 gal from Guad....who were already finished and for whom he spent much of his time delivering ice water and taking pictures. When r lunch order finally came....we r now at well over an hour, kudos to the thick yummy tortilla soup. My panni was simply chicken between two pieces of bread...not pressed. R bill was delivered with the bottom notation of....."remember your total does not include a tip!" I remembered.
• muneca5 (10/5): Excellent vacation - We stayed at Quinta San Carlos last month for a friend's wedding. This hotel was amazing. It had great, clean, nicely decorated rooms. The views of the mountains were spectacular. The food was delicious. Their set up for the wedding reception was spectacular, elegant, beautiful! We also got a massage while there and it was a great one! The staff is courteous and overall we had a wonderful stay. Highly recommend it.
