Guest Reviews

- David (8/5): -
- Nurhayati (8/5): Satisfactoey - Spacious room The room lighting is too dark for reading books
- Cinta (10/5): -
- Cami J (5/5): - I used to stay here years back. Its fallen into disrepair. The staff are super lovely and sweet but the facilities are rusted, not working properly, the lower rooms are dark, and on Mondays the guy who makes the coffee doesn't work (?) so breakfast is without. I want to give this place a good review but its impossible. What once was charming is now becoming derelict. A shame for the people working here who have to try and explain issues away, when the owner just needs to do a full renovation and upkeep.
- Wayne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Monteiro (6/5): Pleasant - Convenient The traffic sound is loud esp I was in room 102

- Mellisa (3/5): Cheap stay - The design Old, not maintained well. Everything is dirty.. need a proper renovation and bathroom was old and dirty… swimming pool wall is dirty too..
- Martin (7/5): Good - Perfect location and value for money. The bed is hard and very noisy.
- Michael (10/5): Soulful decor in this comfortable room that backs up to a rice field - The atmosphere was reminiscent of old Java, I loved it. They reclaimed the furniture, partitions between the bedroom and the bathroom as well as the tiles and the bathroom sink was an old marble tops sewing machine that was repurposed. All these things must have come from Central Java and it felt very warm and soulful with these beautiful touches so rarely found in lodging these days. As you can see there is a central pool that actually backs up to a rice field So even, in the middle of seminyak we still felt that nature was close by, which is very rare. They really thought of everything to make it a comfortable stay, but I would recommend not putting the croissant in the microwave to warm it up. But I'm from Paris so I like them flaky on the outside.
- Monicar (9/5): Superb - Location and value for money . Room have personality. Pool is small.
- Danial (10/5): Relaxed with so much peace - I like the concept of the property, very vintage and cool. The hotel staff is always kind and pleasant and manage to meet some of my requests like borrowing a hairdryer. The housekeeping staff are also extremely exceptional when tidying up my room. Such a good job. I would definitely recommend to others as well as be back for another round of stay after the Brown Feather Hotel Bali -
- Faris (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chrissy (5/5): Passable -
- Tirin (8/5): Very good -
- Vini (7/5): it was fine, well i complained a lot about the cleanness and some stuffs, but thank god the staffs are nice enough to de - well this hotel is vintage theme, its fine for us, we like it, but i do not think its for everybody, cause some of the furnitures are rusty, but i think that just the aesthetic from the hotel.
the staffs are very friendly and helpful! love that for this hotel. it was dampf, the room was too moist. the bedding was dirty, and smells bad, but we pointed out directly to the staffs and they changed it directly.
- Lisa (8/5): Lovely little hotel and staff. Cosy and comfy and just what you need - Good location. Nice big bed. Nice decor Flush wasn’t the best and shower area could do with a big clean
- Murat (8/5): Very good - Good location, nice personnel
- Grier (7/5): Quick one night stay - Good value, budget, boutique stop over in Seminyak. Cheap and cheerful, good for a one night stop over in very busy Seminyak. Shower could have been cleaner.
- Joseph (9/5): Superb -
- Nadhirah (4/5): Disappointing - The staff was very nice Property is quite rundown and the toilet wasn’t clean enough. Room smells a bit damp and I could also smell cigarette smoke from my room.
- Siska (8/5): Very good -
- Jo (8/5): Wonderful stylish hotel - Great location, super staff. The room was large, comfortable and we slept very well. Very good value and with a lovely coffee and breakfast in the morning. The only 1 drawback for me is the very liberal smoking policy. The communal areas are intimate so if you’re a non smoker it’s impossible to escape - particularly unpleasant in the eating areas or sitting with young children. I’d love to see the hotel adopt a no smoking policy like most others!
- Namlı (8/5): Very good - Actually place was good. The location was very good and the staff were helpful The rooms are very small and there is no wardrobe
- Tan (9/5): Cozy and value stay at Seminyak - We absolutely loved the vibes of this place, and it was a very comfortable and cosy stay. It was also located near the upbeat centre of Seminyak, about 10–20 minutes walk from many f&b establishments, but still offering a quiet, tranquil, and rather spacious room. The bathroom door wasn't perfectly fixed, and we had some problems opening/ closing it several times. Besides that, not much service touch points. But overall, wasn't a big issue.
- Carol (8/5): Very good -
- Nathaniel (8/5): Very good -
- A (8/5): Very good - Loved the vintage and homey vibes that the hotel has. I had a good time. The staff wasn't coordinated properly, I had a miscommunication that cost me some money. I have talked about it with the staff and we solved the problem. I hope they will communicate better so customer can enjoy their time at the hotel better.
- Carmelia (7/5): Best Located Hotel with Nice room design - Bed is super comfortable, really like the design
Breakfast is amazing! Last 2 nights hot water didn't work in our room. And we lost our internet at night. It was our second time staying in maja family group. 1st time in bandung. They need to fix the bath facilities
- Anggi (10/5): Exceptional - Staffs are helpful and the breakfast superb. Like its made with super care, and they are tasty so you have a nice stay. The overall stay is nice, just sadly it was raining so we couldnt swim The minus is only the area that always stuck with traffic
- Lauren (4/5): - The ground floor rooms are so dark, weak lighting and you can’t open the curtains.
Shower wasn’t very hot, food was ok, limited menu and you can’t alter the menu in any way
You can’t lie around the pool so would only recommend this place to sleep.
It’s on a very busy part of Batu Belig so forget car transport, scooters only.
Positives: Room size was large, smart tv, comfortable bed
- Erin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Seffty (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alan (8/5): Beautiful boutique hotel but! - The hotel its self built ina colonial style big airy room.one of the most comfortable beds ive ever slept in.very nice breakfast and friendly staff The noise from the road.the small front area was full of motorbikes and cars.the seating near the pool wasnt very comfortable.dangerous walking with motorbikes on the pavement.a beautiful small hotel ruined by the traffic shame
- Jan (8/5): Very good -
- Luqman (8/5): Very good -
- Maddalena (7/5): Good - Great breakfast, lovely coffee. Cute little hotel.
- Brooke (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rouba (9/5): Superb -
- Gemma (9/5): Beautiful room, not sure about the staff - Beautiful room, really comfy bed Not really any sound proofing, breakfast is included but they only offer a limited amount of hot drinks, didn’t have pastries on offer every morning. The staff seemed a bit annoyed that I offered my free breakfast drink to my friend as I don’t personally drink coffee - don’t know why this would matter to them. On my first day I ran out of toilet roll as I had barely any left in my bathroom in the first place - when I asked for more I was told they had run out and had to wait for them to buy more, they handed me napkins instead!
- Abdallah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wayne (9/5): fantastic and I’ve been back 5-6 times - love the location and staff
- Ari (8/5): Very good - Very unique room facilities , very nice breakfast variations, the staff is nice .
- Sofia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kwaza (8/5): Very good -
- Keogh (8/5): Amazing hotel, good location, very clean, lovely staff, only downside was broken shower but amazing otherwise! - Very clean and great location Shower was broken
- Fanny (8/5): fine to stay, but cleanlinees such as lamp shud be more often to clean up - location was strategic toilet flush broken
- Petr (9/5): Superb -
- Adda (8/5): Very good - Clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful! Wifi is bad
- Thales (7/5): Good - Staff very helpful and friendly.
Location super convenient.
Decent room Size
Vintage furniture beautiful, but not practical. Swimming pool slightly dirty
Vintage bed extremely noise. Every time you move during the sleep, you would wake up with the loud springs.
Bathtub very beautiful, however, it is not practical. When you have a shower, the drain doesn't suck the water in the same flow as the shower itself, flooding the tube so your feet are constantly under water (a lot).
Ceiling fan full of dust. Impossible to use.
Air conditioner not working in the first day in one of the rooms.
- Maria (9/5): My second stay and will come back! - Comfy vintage-styled hotel. The staff(s) were really helpful and friendly. I prefer more light for the room, but it's only my preference.
- Adibah (9/5): Superb - Loved the breakfast and service! Toilets could have been cleaner
- Othman (5/5): Doesn't meet our expectations. - Staffs are friendly and helpful. Locations are very good, near to central Canggu and Seminyak. The building itself is old and has no good maintenance. Has funny smell in the bedroom and all plants are dead, poor landscaping and breakfast has very limited options. No motorbike rental offered by the hotel as they had to get it from outside for at least 2 days rental.
- Melissa (8/5): Very good -
- Karmila (7/5): Good - Ur facility soooo niceee
- Charles (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (8/5): Great - Good location to go to both Seminyak and Canggu and the beach was just a 15/20minute walk. Staff were friendly and the rooms were kept nice and clean too. Breakfast was slightly limited but still good
- Steven (5/5): There is better out there for your money - Central location Over priced for what you get. Basic facilities, no views, cramped pool area.
- Clementine (8/5): Very good - Nice rooms and breakfast Noisy and inconvenient area
- Nina (9/5): Superb -
- Edeline (8/5): Very good -
- Aishah (8/5): a nice stay - -unique antique minimalist design
-has a pool in the middle
-has a cafe with good coffee and food
-staff very friendly
-good location, near to shops and place of interest
-has seating area to hang outside the room -no proper closet or enough place to hang clothes
-no really sound proof
- Jenniefer (3/5): Poor - AC very hot, trouble sleeping at night
- Sophie (8/5): Lovely shabby chic design with real rice fields make this hotel an iconic stay - Shabby chic & Back to nature design with a real working padi field at the end of the property. Not well maintained. There were sad, dead potted plants in the room n around the swimming pool. The piles of water cooler containers n other supplies in the corridor are unsightly. Our room in front also had bad road noise - suggest double glazing for the windows.
- Adhisty (8/5): Very good - Location was good, very close to main attractions in Canggu but pretty tucked away from the busy places
Staff was super helpful, room was comfortable, breakfast was very decent! Nothing that I can think of. It's perfect for the value money you pay
- Timothy (7/5): touch up needed and then Perfect! - I like the ambience and the decor. simply beautiful.
super chill. nice to sit by the pool and stare into the field maintained outside.
the breakfast was good. lunch was good.
the coffee is also very good. The bathroom facilities while on the surface clean, could probably have a little maintenance and deep cleaning done for the toilet seat, walls at the shower, and ventilator.
air conditioner makes a rattling sound as well.
location wise. its rather near the beach and there are lots of food options around BUT the main road is tiny and motorbikes often use the pedestrain walkways, so its annoying to walk around the area
- Wayne (8/5): I’ll be back - style bit noisy overall
- Andersen (7/5): Good -
- Syazana (9/5): Tasteful accommodation in the heart of Seminyak - The entire vibe of the place, it’s like you’re walking into an antique building. The decor is also very tasteful and there’s a cafe that serves hot breakfast and amazing coffee! I ended up having two cups of coffee. Staff were amazing too, I checked out but was waiting for my flight so they kept my luggage and allowed me to use the pool while waiting and provided towels. It’s also conveniently located amongst some good eateries like Taco Casa. The room pillows were comfortable as well as the bed, I would stay longer next time. A picturesque view of the paddy fields while you swim too! Amazing. I did some work and the table and chair they provided in the room was definitely just for decor not meant for you to sit and do work long term but small issue here.
- Elena (8/5): Very good -
- David (10/5): - All good. Spacious room and bathroom with vintage vibe
- André (9/5): Superb -
- Ivan (9/5): Superb -
- Valentin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jasmine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marie-louise (8/5): Very good - The hotel has plenty of character and was very comfortable to stay in. Excellent value for money.
- Nathan (9/5): Superb -
- Iqra (7/5): Good - The property was beautiful with a nice, relaxed vibe. We had a comfortable stay. The staff was very helpful, they booked us a GoJek ride for our next destination. The room and the bathroom was clean but could use use a renovation touch. It was a comfortable stay for 1 night, but maybe not for a long period of time as the rooms were not super functional. We had the ground floor and there was lack of sunlight and indoor lighting in the room and bathroom as well.
- Julia (10/5): Exceptional - It was a lovely one-night staycation with my friend. We both live in Ubud and took a short trip to explore Seminyak and Canggu. I loved the style and each detail of the interior very much. The bed was very comfortable! My friend and I slept like babies. The area is a little busy but walkable and has a lot of cool restaurants and shops around. The room is a little dark. It has only a few windows facing the hall and not much light goes through it.
