Guest Reviews
- Jordan (10/5): Wonderfully quiet Ryokan - The onsen availability is amazing, two outdoors and two indoor. The outer ones are much hotter. 50 degrees and the inside are around 40
- Glenda (4/5): - The stairs to the room were hard to navigate especially carrying a suitcase. The room was outdated and shabby. Apart from the onsen no other shower facilities. Nothing nearby as in eating places. When checking in the staff were not friendly.
Polecam
- baptiste (10/5): - Super staff, Onsen magnifique.

- Klaudia (9/5): - Very cozy traditional accommodation, in a good location. Close to the train station and shops. It was a bit uncomfortable for us to sleep on a futon, but I'm sure it's just because we're not used to it.
- Izabela (10/5): Great stay at the traditional ryokan - We loved the outdoor onsen. The place is located very close to the train station (Tozan Railway) so we dropped off our luggage and continued the Hakone Loop. There are two small convienience stores nearby and a small restaurant just across the road (cat themed:)). Nothing to dislike about this lovely place.
- Timothy (10/5): -
- Kido (1/5): -
- Dannis (9/5): Ryokan in klein dorpje met prive onse - Ryokan super leuk gelegen in klein dorpje, prive onse zowel in ryokan als erbuiten, dichtbij trein voor tour naar mount Fuji Ryokan iets gedateerd, maar zeker ok
- Daniel (10/5): - No food at the hostel, but visiting the restaurant across the street was one of the highlights during our stay in Ohidarai. Really friendly owner and nice
atmosphere.
- Anna (10/5): - Comfortable and flexible timings, clean and nice place, l recommend
Rapport qualité-prix. Toilettes hommes uniquement au RDC.
- Pauline.Chah (9/5): - Personnel très accueillant, onsen extérieur fabuleux !
- Mathias (8/5): -
- Anh Duc (9/5): - Extremely good value for money
Private onsen
Located right next to bus/train station nearby dinner options limited
thin walls (typical for ryokan)

- Yiannis (8/5): Value for money accommodation , the open -air onsen was really good! -
- nathalie (9/5): - Personnel tres accueillant. Beau decor rt equpelents. Super les onsen!9

- William (9/5): - Most of the baths where really good. The location is right next to a bus stop and vending machine with a convenience store. The room was also very good. I like the little double door you had to open to get to your room. However, putting the slippers in this area was inconvenient with the normal function of the door, but that might just be me! One of the baths was too hot (burning, could not stay for more than 3 seconds) with no ability to cool it down.
Bagno in comune
- Belova (10/5): Exceptional experience for good money - We spent excellent time here. The room was perfect, the view, the facilities, the atmosphere. Also, we enjoyed both onsens (indoors and outdoors) available at the ryokan. Outdoor one was the best, of course. There are cute yukatas too!
The location is a little bit far from main attractions, but it was actually good and not too touristy.
The staff members were very nice and helpful.
Overall, we were very happy that we found this accommodation, thank you very much for your hard work! You can clearly hear your neighbours even if they are not shouting, which can be disturbing. But it is an expected thing for the traditional Japanese accommodation.

- Michael (9/5): Excellent stay. - I like the onsen bath. and the look and feel of the hotel makes me feel travelling in time. everything was fine in my stay.
- Renu Bahadur (2/5): Poor comfort for the price asked for. - Location Everything.
Arrogance of owner,
All facilities broken except for micro oven
No internet, no washing machine, no hot plate, no utensils and crocery.
- Paula (10/5): Amazing onsen hotel with nice staff! - Super clean, well-equipped, and just adorable. The decorations are in the traditional Japanese style, which makes the perfect vibes, and the onsen was just amazing both indoors and outdoors, all private! Super hot water that melts your worries away. Loved every second, I wish we had stayed longer.
- GORDON (8/5): Ok for 2 nights - It was Japanese style and it is different.
Location was ok for us as we had a rental car but people who rely on the public transport, it can be isolated. No restaurants within a walking distance. It is a place to eat across the road…very nice food but it took ages to get the food, because is only one person is doing the serving and the cooking… Unfortunately the onsen water was too hot for us so we didn’t go in. The shower head in the onsen wasn’t working properly with hot-cold water and it wasn’t possible to have a reasonable temperature.
- Pavel (10/5): -
- Fabio (8/5): -
- Andrea (8/5): - Onsen privato esterno, camera in stile Giapponese Orari di check in troppo stringenti
- Václav (7/5): - + Nádherný privátní venkovní onsen, k dispozici i vnitřní, velmi příjemné
+ Navzdory menším osobním nesympatiím - velice ochotná recepční, půjčila nám nožík a poradila se vším
+ Teplá voda v konvici a dostupné čaje
+ Vše čisté a připravené
- Jeden futon a tedy tvrdší spaní
- Velice chudé okolí, menší lokální obchůdek a jedna Izakaya.
- Neotevíratelná okna
- Na ranní check out v 7:00 nikdo nebyl na recepci
- Peter (9/5): Supernette Gastgeber & tolle Onsen - Unglaublich freundliche Gastgeber, tolle private Onsen.

- Elizabeth (8/5): - Onsens were clean and available.
- Rebekah (10/5): Little gem - We loved our stay and all the little details to make it comfortable and memorable. The staff were lovely and helpful. We enjoyed the many onsens and the kimonos. It was easy to access public transport and explore the area. My kid's wished we had booked a longer stay. We loved it all.
- Das (10/5): - The hot water spring is the best thing Evrything was so good.

- Stefano (10/5): Semplicemente meraviglioso - Tutto meraviglioso, tipico alloggio giapponese , Ryokan !!
- Manea (10/5): Great host, great stay, great experience. - The host was very thorough with the explanations, and the place itself was very beautiful, as were the onsens.
You get to choose out of the indoor one, or the two outdoors ones. When you leave for the outdoor onsens, you get a tag of either A or B to let the other guests know that it's occupied. Once in, you can lock the door and enjoy a great soak with full privacy. (Onsen B is a bit more private, to keep in mind especially during the day).
Walking down the Hakone streets with slippers, yukata and haori was surreal in and of itself.

- Timothy (9/5): Staff is extremely helpful. - Location is perfect
- Heidiloidi (8/5): - Place was easy to find. Good way to experience a traditional Ryokan with a decent price. Was a glad surprise they had several private Onsen options and during your stay you could use them multiple times without extra fee. The futons/mattresses are _really_ thin.
- Antonio (8/5): -
- Janne (10/5): -
- Nathan (8/5): -
- Marcin (10/5): - The place definitly has its charm. It is situated in the mountains so don't expect the same comfort offered in big cities. There is a bus stop and train station nearby. It was our first onsen experience and even the heavy downpour couldn't stop us from taking one of the 2 outdoor bath, in fact the chilly rain made the water jus the perfect temperature - under 50 °C so we could stay in a bit longer. If you are not the outdoor person worry not the place also has one 1-person and one capable of fitting about a 4 at a time indoor onsen bath.
- keiko (7/5): -
- Fabio Mitsuo (9/5): Cheap and very good place to bath in a Onsen - The location was super close to the station. The only thing that there is not many things close like restaurants. But we went for the Onsens and we were super satisfied. Maybe having staff at night since some people do not respect the 1 hour usage of the Onsen.
- Karol (9/5): -
- Elena Lorenzini (9/5): Nice traditional ryokan in a small village, with private onsen. We loved it!! - Traditional ryokan in a small village close to Hakone. It is simple but well maintained and it offers indoor bath and also an outdoor private onsen which is really a treat! You walk five minutes and you can have the place for yourself, it offers a great experience. There is a little restaurant in front it that offers delicious home made food.

- Armando (8/5): - Los onsen privados Todo estuvo bien
- Andrew (7/5): Good value - good experience overall. - Great proximity to Hakone sights - unbeatable value for money.
Limited food options in Ohiradai, but easy to resolve with a very short journey on the train to Hakone-Yumoto, Gora, or a neighbouring station. Men's facilities are on the first floor only - bit inconvenient late at night.
- Mika (10/5): -
- Juliet (6/5): Nice inn. - It was close to Ohiradai on the Hakone Tozan railway, which was convenient. Facilities were clean. Authentic room. Clean tatami mats. Good price. I found the futon beds too thin and I could feel the floor. It was also December and cold. There seemed to be a AC/heating unit, but it made the air feel uncomfortably dry, so wasn't the best night's sleep.
