Guest Reviews
- Sue (9/5): -
- Leigh (8/5): Brilliant location for a short stay in gorgeous Abersoch - Loved the room, just perfect for what I needed with a partial sea view and to watch the sunrise over the sea was beautiful. Location was superb, a very quick walk into town and it was great to have access to parking. Mick was extremely welcoming and helpful. I would have liked a mini fridge in the room.
- Sarah (10/5): A very enjoyable stay at The Wyfla. - The Wyfla is located in the perfect spot in Abersoch. A short walk into the village and the beach. We always enjoy our stay here. Will definitely stay here again. Loved everything.
- Hugh (10/5): -
- Matthew (10/5): - The owner was lovely and very welcoming.
The location was spot on to the centre.
Extremely clean and the room was spacious and comfy.
Would definitely recommend it. There was nothing to dislike
- penny (10/5): Cosy vibes - Cosy yet spacious room with stunning sea views. Cannot beat its location If i really had to fault it, it would be that i would of liked a bigger duvet, my poor husband didnt get a chance as I decided i wanted to be a cosy burrito for the night. I really cant fault this place, this is our 2nd year staying here.
- Darren (7/5): In the heart of the Llyn - I liked the overall cleanliness of the room, good wifi and a good shower and probably an ideal location nearer the quieter side of the village. Comfortable bed. Tv did not work-this could have been checked prior to my visit. I walked back to alarms blaring one night. I would say the price is over-egged for what it offers but then i think all properties are expensive in this village.

- Sarah (10/5): Would highly recommend. - Very friendly host and welcome, beautiful room, great facilities, lovely sea view and parking was a bonus, will definitely return - thank you. That we couldn't have stayed longer due to work commitments
- frank (7/5): - Beautiful place
- Elaine (8/5): Perfect location and comfortable stay - Great location for the town and the beach. The top floor suite with seaview was comfortable and roomy with a spacious bathroom. Friendly hosts too. Would have liked clean cups daily instead of rinsing them out in the bathroom. We did get clean ones when I asked though so not a major issue.
- vicky (10/5): - Spotlessly clean and parking Nothing
- Samantha (10/5): -
- Suzanne (10/5): Perfect price and location - The accommodation was just what we needed, a reasonably priced stay in a very overpriced Abersoch. Would definitely recommend it. We knew it didn’t offer breakfast but this was fine because we had early starts and the owner provided us with a mini fridge to keep our own breakfast in. Nothing
- Barlow (10/5): -

- Timothy (10/5): Great location, property and hosts - I loved my stay at The Wylfa. I had been walking all day and couldn’t have asked for a warmer welcome or a cosier place to stay.
Mick was the perfect host (super friendly)- and immediately upgraded me to the Anexxe. It was its own little self contained house- spotlessly clean and lovingly done up.
The house itself is perfectly located for access to the beach, amenities etc and has off-street parking if you need it (I didn’t).
I would happily stay again and can heartily recommend a stay- thanks again Mick, I slept like a log! Nothing
- Philip (10/5): Ideal location - Very clean, ideal position with parking.
Lovely room welcoming and friendly owners Nothing
- Andie (10/5): -
- Lynn (7/5): -
- Caroline (10/5): Can’t wait to come back and stay again! - The unexpected sea view, the location, great price considering the high prices some places charge in abersoch! Comfy bed, clean, hosts were lovely and provided us with a mini fridge when we asked if we could keep our drinks cool. They were always there to speak to if we needed them and they were really friendly. Parking on property. Nothing to dislike
- Sarah (10/5): A relaxing stay in a lovely and welcoming hotel. - The Wyfla is set in the perfect place in Abersoch. Close to the beach and the village amenities. It means we can park the car in The Wyfla car park all weekend and just chill and relax. The room was lovely with a fantastic sea view. We were made to feel very welcome there. We loved everything. The weather could have been better on Sunday, but that is something out of anyone’s control. Just wished we could have stayed longer.
- laura (9/5): -
- izabel (10/5): Such a lovely stay at The Wylfa. We were very kindly upgraded to the little cottage and it was perfect for our stay in A -
- Nicholas (9/5): - Great location and made to feel very welcome at quite late notice. Thank you, will stay again and recommend.
- Charlotte (4/5): Cold. - Good location on main high street in Abersoch. Easy to find. We are walking the Coast Path and arrived on foot after a particularly wet and windy day. We were soaking and freezing. However the host put us in the self contained chalet at the back of the house, i.e. a converted extension or garage, which was cold as the heating hadn’t been switched on in advance. I thought I had booked a room in the B&B, ie in the house (which would have been warmer). When I said it was cold, the host did apologise, he put two electric radiators on and he brought over a fan heater which helped to heat the space. As the floors were hard (wooden covering) and the walls cold, there was then a lot of condensation on the walls. There were also cobwebs at ceiling level (bathroom and everything else was very clean but the whole chalet seemed as if it hadn’t been used, heated or aired out all winter). I appreciate we arrived in off season and in bad weather but I would have expected a warmer welcome.
- Olivia (10/5): -
- Helen (8/5): Great location , quiet and comfortable, hosts were available if required. Beware very low ceilings in the attic room.! - Location location location. Perfect for beach, village and golf.
Fabulous views, Room was basic and decor quite dated, no trimmings.
Although there was adequate internet TV’s only had basic channels no Netflix etc ok for us but just something to update maybe.
- Warren (8/5): - Location, staff and quaint atmosphere. Could have modern power points with USB Charing points built in.
- Andrew (10/5): -
- Julie (10/5): Lovely place - I requested a sea view and was given a sea view where possible. The rooms were spotless and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing
- Anthony (9/5): Very enjoyable -
- mccormack (10/5): Relaxing - Really nice hosts Period property
- Beverly (10/5): We loved our stay at the Wylfa. Bottle of Prosecco waiting for us on arrival. We had the whole of the top floor which wa - Very clean and comfortable.
Handy for all amenities Breakfast would have been good but we knew this when we booked and plenty of places to eat nearby.
- Christine (10/5): -
- Robert (10/5): Very comfortable , and was just a 5 min walk to the centre of the village - Clean , comfortable , everything we needed for our stay
- David (9/5): Great location and Mick and Jenny were lovely - Location was great Nothing
- Katherine (8/5): - Nice owner (only met one of them).
Clean room. Nice house but visitors dont get to see much of it.
Right on the Coastal Path! No breakfast.
With the room we got, we were pretty much just renting a bedroom. No community sitting room and only a hard desk chair in our room. Love sitting and reading when not hiking, so to do so set up with a pillow on the floor leaning against the bed. Not a biggee--we're backpackers--but sorta becomes a question of value.
- stevejac (7/5): -
- Nicola (8/5): Great location & great price! - Great location and a fantastic price compared to other places in the locality Nothing really. This was a guest house with no breakfast provided but we knew that before we went so not a problem for us.
- Sam (8/5): - Veel ruimte en zicht op zee!
- gerald (9/5): Great location, very friendly and spotlessly clean and comfortable - Very friendly hosts, recommended local places to eat.
Good location for central amenities. Free parking on site. Very clean and comfortable, nothing was too much trouble. Great communication and appreciated the effort to accommodate our requirements.

- philip (10/5): Fantastic - glorious place and lovely owners. - Everything was brilliant! The check-out time of 10am not being the most convenient - but we made it work!

- Tracey (9/5): Wonderful Wylfa didn’t disappoint. - We’ve just spent two nights in Abersoch, staying at Wylfa.
We stayed in the garden room and it didn’t disappoint. At the back of the house with a separate entrance, perfect. The accommodation consisted of a double bedroom, small sitting area and shower room.
The location you would struggle to beat. To the left a four minute walk to a beautiful beach. To the right a couple of minutes walk and you’re in the centre of Abersoch with all the bars and eateries at your disposal.
The beach is superb, great for swimming, relaxing and people watching! We walked down with our beach chairs and had a glorious time.
Parking on site… this is a massive plus as parking, especially this time of year is nonexistent.
The owners have only been there a few weeks, we’re very friendly and helpful with great restaurant recommendations!
If going in the height of the summer holidays definitely book your restaurants in advance. If you like seafood try The Potted Lobster, the most amazing seafood platter for two!
Noodle a Thai restaurant was recommended at hotel.. that was amazing too!
We loved staying here, great value for money. We will be back! Breakfast isn’t available at the accommodation, we knew this before we went. This wasn’t a problem for us, there are lots of places to eat in the town, on your doorstep including a lovely deli.
- mirco (9/5): -
- Mandy (8/5): Perfect location in Abersoch, 2 minute walk to the centre or beach. - Location perfect. Quiet. Comfy bed. We had attic room, low beams but not an issue. Nothing.
- Louise (7/5): Great location for a stay in Abersoch - Great location 5 minutes walk to the beach and the town centre. It was great to be able to park there and not need the car for the weekend. Walked to the town for lovely shops and great food. So close to the beach to pop down for a walk, lots to watch on the beach and a great little cafe.
We had the suite at the top of the house which was lovely and spacious. The king sized bed was lovely and comfortable. The shower was a large walk in shower and newly refurbished. There was no wifi signal in our rooms, we did mention this to the new owner (only taken over that week) and he said they are going to improve that asap so no doubt that anyone else staying wouldn’t have that issue. He was very keen for feedback as he wants to improve and upgrade the experience.
- Susan (9/5): - The location was great We booked a garden room because Stairs are difficult but we were told that there was a Fault so we had to go upstairs we found out that they were leaving when we left so no compensation
- Gillian (8/5): -
- Alan (9/5): Absolutely amazing trip, hoping to do it again soon. - Breakfast is not included. However, there are more than enough places to get breakfast.
The place is ideal for the town and beach. Traffic noise.
- Debbie (9/5): Wylfa Hotel Abersoch - The location was fab and the staff lovely when we saw them ...easy access to property and parking facilities are good too x would definitely stay again 😃 N,/A
- Lara (10/5): -
- George (7/5): All other facilities were fine and as expected. Our hosts were very helpful. - No breakfast provided! No breakfast.
Whilst there was never a promise of breakfast, we just assumed there would be facilities.
Locally, in and around Abersoch there are ample oportunities to buy breakfast.
- Maureen (6/5): Very basic property. The rooms were very close together and we could hear everyone walking past our door and doors slamm - Clean bed linens. On a busy road and we had to keep the window open because it was warm. We didn’t sleep well at all
The shower was very small and you couldn’t turn around in it.
There was no staff member at the hotel only a white board to say what room I was in and the key was in the door. We never saw any staff during our stay.
- Connaire (10/5): Great spot to stay in Abersoch while doing the coastal walk in Wales - Good location, view of the sea from our room. Helpful host
- Jean (7/5): - Area and location No mirror over the dressing table
Missed the convenience of breakfast
- Alan (10/5): - Fabulous family run hotel. The location was brilliant. 5 mins to amazing beach, and 5 mins other direction to abersoch centre. I didn't mind that they didn't do breakfast as there are plenty of places in the town or there is a great food shack on the beach.
- Darren (10/5): Welsh Coast Path Walk pt3 - Ease of access to Abersoch town
- Peter (8/5): -
- Julie (10/5): Excellent room and location - Spotlessly clean, comfy bed, great location, lovely hosts No negatives
- Ross (9/5): Our room was clean and tidy, staff were helpful. Hotel is within walking distance of town and beach - Did not have breakfast All good - no problems
- Alison (6/5): -
- Mark (9/5): - 5 minute walk into town and beach. Parking outsìde There was nothing to dislike, the en suit bedroom room had what you needed, not boutique but sufficed.
- David (7/5): -
- Edwards (2/5): Wouldnt book again. - Great location for walking into the town. Friendly checkin. I booked 2 rooms for 1 night (May 2025). Everything about the hotel was done and maintained on the cheap. Although it seemed clean, cheapest dark brown carpet, cheap grey Ikea curtains, furniture and bathroom from the 90's, pretty depressing overall, spent as little time there as possible - which was tough as we had paid over £300 for the night!! 4* money for 1* accommodation. Definitely needs a refurb.
- Denise (8/5): Great location, comfy and clean. - Location, helpful, clean, WiFi and parking. Brew facilities and comfy bed. No breakfast and breakfast only opens at 10am in the village.
- Sally (10/5): -
- Ian (8/5): -
- Ange (9/5): Perfect place to stay - The Wylfa is in a fabulous location. It’s a short walk to the heart of town and to the beach.
It is very clean and well appointed.
The beds are comfortable.
Very close to great restaurants. There is a small amount of road noise which most probably wouldn’t notice but because we were jet lagged it was a slight annoyance for us.
- Martin (7/5): -
- Wendy (8/5): - The hosts location & parking
- Jane (9/5): Lovely short break away. - The hotel was in a great location with a short walk to all the facilities and the beach. Free parking which was a necessity. Lovely hosts. We will definitely return. Nothing.
- penny (8/5): - The location was perfect! The owners were warm and friendly, the room was clean and tidy, a good size too! Pillows we're a on the flat side. That's the only negative.
- David (10/5): -

- Tigger (10/5): - Brilliant Concept to provide Accommodation Only - Keys and Rooms Open on Arrival..
- Such a Central Location equa Town Centre /Beach.....
2 nights £320 Dble Room... Tad High- I paid as, it was much needed respite from a caring role.
Owners totally Eco.
We All Love Abersoch !! Nothing - Great business concept.
