- Planet123456 (2/5): Bad experience - I visit in royal phonecia hotel I go for bar in 9th floor. The name Sea view service is very bad. I ordered something I request for mint sauce but waitress denied me. Waitress very rude behavior. Not care for another guest only talking inside the bar with cashier. I will not come this hotel. Iam very disappointed. My suggestion is take care of all guest proper service.

I rather pay a little more money and have a peaceful day & night at the 5 stars hotel witch is only 1 kilometres away from this hotel.

- THOMAS (2/5): Very bad experience - The welcoming desk could not find my reservation it took a lot of time for them to get it. They kept my passport without telling me. They had a disco club at the 11th floor, I had a deluxe suit I needed something quiet. I couldn't sleep from midnight to 5am. The welcoming desks agents were barely polite and concerned, the grooms were very nice and aware.

Can’t say about food coz we haven’t eat from there. Receptionists was just ok.Maybe they are more approachable to other nationalities except to fellow asians like us. Other staff are good.
- SudeeshB (6/5): Minus the disturbance of music at night, I could have given much better rating. - The staff is cooperative, food is OK. The gym and the pool are also OK. But at night, the music from the down stair restaurant reaches everywhere. If you sleep before 11 PM, it may not affect you. But after midnight, it will irritate you. The location is not far from the city, but not a busy area. The hotel is visible from very far and it is easy to locate.

A loo that had to be pumped to flush, a bed harder than a marble table and a good morning rat. Music went on all night, and the ladies sure worked hard. All night. Loudly. And in the morning I was greeted by a furry friend- Mr Rat.

- harishbala (6/5): This is a budget hotel so go with low expectations - If you are low on budget then this is the place to stay for you. The room rate was reasonable and includes WiFi, breakfast and airport pick up. When we arrived our rooms were not available even though it was late in the evening and check in time is supposed to be 2 PM. We were made to wait for more than an hour. We went for dinner in the restaurant and they did not have many items which were on the menu, in the end we asked them what they have and told them to bring us something. These were the negative parts. Cleanliness can be improved in the common areas. The rooms were clean and nothing to complain, they were spacious. The buffet breakfast was good. Overall I would not return here and look for other options.

Staff are so friendly and smiley all the time .. hotel is clean and looks new everything is well arranged there .. they have a nice pool & good view restaurant .. location is little confusing but the hotel really worth staying in.. Thanks for all people there will come back soon.
- jeanaustinr (10/5): Value: beautiful, quiet, clean and spacious room, plus polite staff - We booked a room for three days and two nights through Agoda and the value for our money was excellent. The room is beautiful, clean and very spacious. Our room has a wireless router (I'm not sure though if every room has one). However, the internet connection is not fast if you have high standard in speed. It only maxed up to 3 mbps. Fair enough if you are going to check emails and browse the web but not good for streaming videos online. Cable TV has limited English channels. Bahrain power sockets are of type G so be sure to bring your adapters with you. The bed is queen-size, the air conditioning is working fine but it gets too cold at night, so better make use of that duvet. The natural light in the morning is very nice. There is a swimming pool in the first floor for both adults and kids. It's facing the freeway so there's at least a good, open view. We had no problem looking for a parking space inside the building. The staff are polite, very accommodating and always smiling. Me and my wife will definitely check-in again at Royal Phoenicia Hotel in the future

Abdulrahman who is i believe an egyptian guy is very rude. i have never encounter a man this rude in my entire life. i was asking for my booking confirmation and all he have to say is he is not allowed. he is not allowed on any way to confirm my booking? Please avoid talking to him as he shouts at you like you are not paying the hotel. he shouts like he owns the hotel. Your hotel can do more on this, please train your employees before you let them work in service..

Small refrigerator available to keep drinks cold. Staffs are good. Cons: I have had couple of sleepless nights due to the banging music from the night clubs. Breakfast food menu is repetitive. Not much difference in items. Only 23 TV channels. Laundry charges are very high. Charged 31 BD for 5 pair of clothes

- unmesh777 (6/5): Good Hotel but unfortunately poor service..!! - I booked this hotel for 3 nights for my Eid holidays, hotel is good but the service is very slow and they do not have a professional operation team. Wifi & the key card was not functioning since my arrival date and they could able to fix it before my departure day. I'm not impressed and I have a suggestion to the concerned Manager that you should make sure that next time when the staff recruitments are happening for your hotel please make sure that the selected employees are matching with the job descriptions for each positions.. I hope you will consider this to improve your hotel service standards..!!

- DavidI936 (8/5): Great place if you don't end up above the night club. - I visited Bahrain for business and chose this hotel as all hotels seemed to have nightclubs except the really expensive ones and the decoration looked great in the pics. My first 5 nights were TERRIBLE having been placed in Room 402 which was right above the night club (Skype nights). Bass pounding through the pillow till 2am. Left me extremely tired and completely off my game because of it. I paid the whole amount, non-refundable, because it was so cheap so I was stuck. I asked 2 different guys from reception if I could be moved on 2 different occasions and both refused. On the 6th day I was ready to move to another hotel (13 nights booked) having fallen asleep at 2:30am every night since I arrived. I thought I would ask one last time and spoke to Michelle who was nothing short of BRILLIANT. A true credit to the hotel staff. Within 2 minutes I had a new room, same floor but on the other side. I couldn't have asked for more and the remainder of my stay was great. I can't thank Michelle enough and I hope the management staff of the hotel realise they have a superstar at the reception. Friendly, polite and good at her job, everything you want from a member of staff. Michelle also, on my last day, helped me print and copy some paperwork even though I had checked out. A true star. Rooms were excellent and were exactly as shown. Large, clean and with good enough facilities, though no minibar but a fridge to place your own drinks. Very comfortable mattress and pillows. Great nights sleep after the move. Windows were just able to drown out air con vents and traffic noise outside Only 3 English speaking channels but 2 showed movies so that was enough for me. Amazing Wi-Fi with every room having its own router, no signal drop, perfect. House keeping was OK. Bed linen well prepped but floor cleaning could have been better. Room service was quick and food was so so. Nice Daal and breakfast but poor overcooked fish fingers. Swimming pool was DISGUSTING with leaves and pigeon feathers floating in it. Used it once and never again. Gym was great and well equipped though one of the members of staff in the spa was extremely rude telling ME to call reception for more water, REALLY? Sauna didn't work and steam room was mediocre. Excellent car park with plenty of space to manoeuvre. Didn't visit the nightclub but from the ladies I saw visiting I can only imagine. Not sure if they were working girls but not very many of them around which was great. Near the motorway so I doubt many of them can walk there. Great location only if you have a car. Perfectly located to drive to Al Fateh Grand mosque and the Juffair strip. If Management are still reading this please GET RID OF THE NIGHT CLUBS (3 in total I think in basement, 3rd floor and 10th floor), clean and fix the 3rd floor facilities, get all the restaurants open and running again but close by 11pm (9th floor one was closed) and this hotel would really be 4 star maybe even 5 with a few extra touches like Satellite TV, Chauffeur service etc. At the moment it's a great 3 star hotel or a very poor 4 star hotel.
- Catie (8/5): Nice Hotel but no bathtubs. - They didn't see my request for a shuttle pick-up at the airport so I had to wait for the shuttle, but the info desk at the Airport called the hotel for me and it all worked out. When I checked in, I asked if my room had a tub. I was told the rooms did not have tubs and when I expressed my dismay, I was upgraded to a mini-suite. When I awoke the next morning with a migraine, the room comfort was very welcome. I was underwhelmed by the room service, but thankful that they had room service.

- James (2/5): Poor service and terrible location - This hotel is one of the worst that I have stayed at in my year in and out of Bahrain. The front of the hotel is located in an alley that is littered with garbage. The rooms are not any better. I found a lot of hair from previous guests in my bathroom. The TV channel selection is terrible, if you want English options. As there are many better hotel options in Juffair area, do not waste your time or money staying at the Royal Phoenicia.

- John (6/5): Disappointing Stay - We stayed here for 5 nights in September 20 15, and we regret doing so.The duty manager Mr. Isa, demanded we surrender our passports, I refused informing him that copies of passports were taken already by his reception staff, and I needed my passport in order to attend a function in my Embassy.My embassy will be lodging a written complaint to their operations manager, a Mr. Osama regarding the passport incident.There is a small pool area with 2 sun-loungers, and two tables with chairs for the Hotel guests to use! they were already in use each time we tried to use them. The location of the Hotel is far from any amenities/attractions. The staff in the "sea-view Bar" were excellent however and would like to personally recommend Ms. Analyn, and Messrs. Subash/Ashoka/ and Mr. Deo in room -service, they were always friendly and attentive providing excellent standard of customer care.
- Scott (8/5): Excellent value, clean, modern hotel - Excellent weekend break in the Royal Phoenicia. We were escaping from KSAfor the weekend. Staff were friendly and helpful, rooms very comfortable and clean. The only downside was the seaview bar - the music was dire and it ran out of draught Amstel on the first night and most bottled beer by the second night. Not what you are expecting in Bahrain after putting up with KSA being 'dry'. Still a very good stay in a modern hotel. We will be back.
