Guest Reviews
- Christina (10/5): - The most beautiful spot on the Island Savaii.
Hospitality top notch, friendly and welcoming.
Perfect place to relax.
- Jason (8/5): - Location and beach are good. There is a small area on the side of the main beach that is deep enough to swim properly even at low tide. Plenty of fish and sealife immediately off the beach for snorkeling. I saw turtles aswell.Evening sunset fire dances were great. Cultural show wonderful. Staff very friendly and food options good. A couple of days peace were impacted by kids running around through the bungalow rooms screaming, and had instances of people (large groups) that were not staying at the resort coming in ordering a drink a taking over the beach and facilities, to use to beach in feont of the hotel It is only a small resort so made a significant impact on peace, serenity and private feel. Rooms seemed old and dated, but fits with the overall feel of the resort. Overall good for a few days stay.
- Jessica (10/5): - Absolutely loved this resort, the bungalows were perfect, although it was a bit dark inside even with the lighting. The beach right outside our deck was amazing, the staff were amazing, breakfast was nice and simple. Only callout would be is a proper carpark is needed, other than that the resort is perfect.
- Genesis (10/5): - Truly a relaxing stay, will be coming back for another holiday 😇
- Anna (10/5): - Place and staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be coming back 😊
- Loloma (8/5): - Beautiful location. Loved how close we were to the ocean.
- Meris (8/5): - Enjoyed show and cultural walk, pool and grounds were beautiful.Parking was very tight for space and often blocked in.Buildings and furniture was really stunning
- Iain (8/5): - Stayed 4 night Oct 24. The location is wonderful. The lagoon beautiful and felt very private. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast options were quite limited considering the price of accommodation. Evening meals also not a great range of options. I understand a lot of food is imported but a little more selection would help. Fie fie feast was good.
- Sharon (8/5): - This resort is in a beautiful location. Great for relaxation. Snorkeling and turtles were amazing. Some rooms need an update.
- Jane (6/5): - Nice resort but I Didn’t like the service. Women workers need to learn customer service skills and I felt like we weren’t being treated the same as other guest.
We’re Samoans and felt like because we’re Samoans it’s okay to be served last.
We went for breakfast and it was empty, ordered our food and then another family came (palagi). Food came out and they got served first even though we were first. Same for the fiafia night - time to serve food and the worker came and stood in front of our table and told the other guest food was ready and then walked off.
Felt very uncomfortable and annoyed that I paid a lot of money to stay at this resort only for our family to be treated like this.
- Katrina (10/5): - Staff are very helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean and spacious. We would definitely stay again.
- Kim (10/5): - Fabulous fales, staff and food. The property was lovely with a great outlook. It was tidy and the gardens beautiful and also clean.
- wibo (4/5): - Needs an update, a good clean and staff needs improvement, breakfast the same daily, limited choise, poor quality
- Sabrina (10/5): - Overall excellent
- Stephanie (10/5): - We had four really wonderful days at Le Lagoto. The staff were so welcoming. The meals were delicious. Beach and pool were really nice. It’s in a nice location in Savaii, and it’s a lovely place to come back to after a day of exploring.
- Lloyd (10/5): - Awesome beach and great food and service at Le Lagoto. We’ll be back!
- Puluvaga Vee (10/5): - Customer service is excellent. All facilities nice and clean would recommend to anyone who wants to escape reality & relax, wine & dine.
- loretta (10/5): - The staff was wonderful to us made us feel that we really part of there families
- Lynette (10/5): - Absolutely LOVED this place!!!! What a stunning location, all staff were just so kind beyond words.
Le Lagoto Resort & Spa have definitely stolen our hearts. Would highly recommend travelers to make the ferry crossing to this Resort.
Theres a pizza place, also sells takeaways and ice creams, a small shop across the road. Love love loved our stay there.
Thank you Le Lagoto for such a beautiful holiday.

- Fiona (6/5): - Situated on a beautiful beach. The property is 5 star based on Savaii ‘norm’ rating I’d imagine - however as a traveler it needs some maintenance, especially bathroom- quite dirty, as was our bedding.
Staff really lovely , except for the main lady who wasn’t accommodating. Sunday BBQ very overpriced for what it was - but beautiful singing from band.
I think it’s just a bit expensive for what it is. Nonetheless beautiful spot.
- Sharron (10/5): - Great island getaway. Beautiful beach with great snorkelling. Lovely food and staff. Lovely fales.
We enjoyed it so much we stayed another night!
- melinda (10/5): Perfect, authentic Samoan resort***** - Beautiful authentic Samoan resort. 10 enclosed beach huts with AC if needed, fantastic infinity pool beachside with bar and outdoor dining both covered and uncovered. Small beach lovely and great snorkeling just walking out from the beach. Caretaker gave us a tour of local village and explained the family life and extended families as well as places to visit nearby. Quiet area and very peaceful, would love to go back!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Absolutely beautiful resort!! Highly recommend! Seti is an absolute gem - makes the whole experience 10 times
Better!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location, beach and restaurant all right your doorstep. AC in the room is a lifesaver! The beach is a mix of reef allowing for a refreshing dip or some exploring, the staff are welcoming and friendly. All round great stay!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - From Faleolo Airport its a 10min 20Tala taxi to the ferry. 12Tala for a one hour crossing then a 45min shuttle @ 200Tala return trip for 2 adults.
The resort location is worth the effort. Sheltered from the SE trade winds its in a beautiful bay with a lovely lagoon and a sandy beach. The lagoon is crystal clear with great snorkeling. We saw 2 turtles.
The fales are large and tastefully appointed. Only 10 in total makes for a quiet and intimate stay. The only negative with the fales are that the bathrooms are a little dated by comparison to the living sleeping area. The beachfront fales are better located but were booked out so our set back fale was still cool with a glimpse of the lagoon. The resturaunt and bar area is just fine. Only 10 couples tops so plenty of room. We were often the only ones around. Complimentry Breakfast is basic but plentiful. Weekbix cornflakes fresh bread with spreads. Papaya coconut banana orange slices lemonade tea or coffee. They make toast on request. We took a box of real muesli to uplift the cereal offering. But there is a cooked breakfast that differs each day. Omelette french toast crepes pancakes scrambled eggs. Dinner is fine. Wine expensive @ 25tala glass. beer cheap @ 7Tala. The staff, run by Seti are awesome. Personalised friendly and caring. The swimming pool is OK, small with chlorine smell. We swam in the lagoon, swim able at low tide.Kayaks and SUPs are worn & average. Beach loungers need updating. But a top spot for a relaxing week
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very small so quiet and relaxing. A little short on activities but great for a lazy relaxing holiday. Lovely beach and sunsets, good snorkelling right off the beach.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - At Le Lagoto fales are set amongst the lush tropical garden that meanders along the shoreline. The water in the bay is clear and areas of coral provide good snorkelling at your doorstep. Use of the kayaks is free should you want to venture further. This is the place to go if your ideal holiday involves relaxing, reading, swimming and reconnecting with family or partner. Meals are generally based on local produce. Staff are friendly and helpful. The poolside bar or restaurant provide perfect spots to watch the sun set as you enjoy a drink. The resort is immaculately kept. Hire a car and travel around the island to some see some of Savaiis natural sights. The Blow holes, lava fields and Vailoa waterfall are well worth a visit. We would highly recommend Le Legoto as a place to go for a relaxing holiday.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The location on the beach was beautiful. We had a terrific few days on the beach and snorkeling right in front of the resort.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great place and great staff. Great place for kids also.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very relaxing place, awesome staff and very clean.
- Kathy (10/5): Stunning location and top service - Wow, this place is amazing! It totally exceeded our expectations. Stunning location, best service of any resort I’ve stayed in and the staff were so much fun to be around. Put on an impromptu show at the bar when we stayed up too late drinking cocktails. Couldn’t fault this place at all.
- Jenny (10/5): Amazing! - What an amazing stay we had here. We stayed as a family of 5 in two ocean front villas. The villas were stunning and the beach was world class. The staff were lovely - especially SETI who looked after us. Thank you for a wonderful stay and we will definitely be back soon!
- PNS (8/5): - i loved how secluded this place was and the beach was stunning - of the 4 hotels i stayed at in Samoa, Le Lagoto was my favourite because of the location and the beach
- DAVID (10/5): - Was a very brief visit unfortunately spoilt by a turn for the worst in the weather. However we were made to feel extremely welcome. Would definitely recommended this place.
- Timothy (10/5): Samoan Hospitality with a touch of luxury - Loved our stay here for a few nights to relax as we travelled across Savaii. The resort is on a beautiful beach with some stunning swimming and snorkeling. Pool was smaller but still really nice to chill out in.
Rooms were really spacious and comfy, lots of space to spread out with a full ensuite - definitely one of the better rooms in Manase, if not the island.
Staff were really lovely and always tried to help our, especially the bar and restaurant staff. If we're back on the island we will definitely pop in.
- Janet (10/5): - Our favourite stay anywhere in a very long time. Stunning low key resort with traditional fales that are awesome, exceptionally comfortable bed, food excellent and all staff so welcoming and helpful.
Lagoon awesome - snorkelling and kayaking - best of all Sooooo Peaceful - able to totally switch off from busy life at home - cannot wait to come back, only regret we needed at least a week or two not 3 nights.
Kind Regards,
Chris and Janet
- Nat (10/5): - Stunning scenery with boutique accommodation right on beachfront, with easy access to safe ocean swimming. Food and service was excellent. Recommended especially for couples.
- Kearns (10/5): - Perfect location and pace - Sete and the staff were excellent
- Merv_Jeannie (10/5): Outstanding staff and location - Awesome location, Dive shop over the road gave an outstanding dive experience, thanks Olaf.
Staff and food were outstanding, thanks particularly to Seti.
Room was very comfortable, don't expect the latest, these are authentic Fales, lots of timber and we loved it, not the most modern but was very comfortable. Can't wait to go back
- Teresa (10/5): Best Wedding Anniversary location - Absolutely amazing holiday. Reo and I decided to come to Samoa for our 22nd wedding anniversary. So glad we did, Le Lagoto Resort is in the best location, Bungalows are comfy, modern with a touch of the traditional Samoan Fale feel. Only steps away from the Pristine Waters on the white sandy beach. Swimming and snorkling everyday. Kayaking and Diving is also available here. The food was very tasty and delicious but the best part of our holiday was meeting Seti, Faaiuga and the beautiful staff members not only are they very proficient at their tasks but they are respectful kind and caring towards their guests. Thank you all for greeting us everyday with those big Samoan smiles. Thank you Seuga for the extra care you gave us. You made us feel like family. I highly reccomend this resort for its location, style, features, food, attractions and most of all its Staff. Thank you all from Reo and Teresa. (Melbourne)
- Diane (10/5): Savaii. Samoa resort. - Had a wonderful stay. Very upscale and delightful. Staff very helpful.
- nicky (10/5): Lovely small resort set in an amazing location - Perfect place to relax and enjoy Samoa. Water is crystal clear and excellent for snorkeling, accommodation well designed for families. Food and service equally as good.
- Sue (8/5): Pleasant quiet hotel - We loved the hotel. The staff were delightful and it was wonderful sitting on the veranda watching the sun sets. What we did not like was the large amount of rubbish in the sea. Much of it had been there for some time as it was old and twisted into the coral so it could not just be blamed on the recent cyclone. It let the hotel down. The hotel needs to employ some locals to clear it out. It would not be difficult as much of it is old blankets, clothing etc rather than litter. The snorkelling otherwise was great. Also the hotel relies on the dive shop across the road to provide guests with snorkelling equipment but the shop was closed for the owners holidays. Guests had to rent equipment from the hotel next door. The hotel needs to have its own equipment. these are small issues and we enjoyed our stay very much.
- Peniel (10/5): Great hotel in beautiful Savaii - Staff were great. Room was lovely and tidy on arrival. The food was awesome and it really was great service from beginning to end.
- Victoria (10/5): Lovely two night stay - Beautiful resort on the lagoon.
- Rizzo (6/5): Quaint Hotel - Small resort, very worn and tired, however people are lovely and the restaurant has great food.
- Matthew (10/5): - Great place to stay and relax, Fantastic food and drinks, friendly helpful staff that engage with all guests to make their stay memorable.
- karen (8/5): Lovely small resort right on the beach. - The fales are very spacious and comfortable. There is a lovely pool and great snorkelling right out the front of the resort. Food average.
They advertise a Spa but there is not one available. There is a sweet girl for massage but do not think she has been trained and really unaware of what a spa client would expect.
I would recommend this resort for a relaxing break in the sun.
- nathan (8/5): Best accommodation in Savaii - Really nice place. Beachfront villa 2 is next to pool so handy if you have kids. If you dont like us you would be better in 3 or further away from pool. Wonderful relaxing and great for snorkling.
Restaurant nice with excellent restaurant staff.
- Steph (10/5): beautiful gardens with privacy & faultless service - We stayed in April 2017, 2 adults and 4 children in 2 stunning lagoon front fales. Le Lagoto was everything we hoped for! A calm and safe beach that our children could confidently roam, excellent snorkeling just meters front our door, that the kids could enjoy too. Lovely pool and perfectly manicured gardens to bring the beauty of Samoa alive. Stunning sunsets, amazing service, all staff had an eye for detail. We will definitely be back next year!
- Dianne (10/5): Paradise - Our ultimate holiday goal was to relax which is exactly what the resort provided. The surroundings were stunning and the resort was always tidy and clean.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Best place on Savai'i - Friendly, clean, decent food, air con and located on a nice beach -- what more can you ask for? Especially as it's located right across the street from Dive Savaii, an excellent operation for both divers and snorkellers.
