J’étais au 4eme avec une opération de la hanche 😡 j’ai demandé à change de chambre on m’a promis le sur lendemain ! Un mensonge car cela s’est révélé impossible ! Personne pour prendre les décisions ! Clim marche mais faut se lever car pas de télécommande ! Oubli du papier toilette ! Bref comme le tarif est ras des pâquerettes on peut guère demander mieux ! L’emplacement est pas mal endroit réservé aux jeunes en pleines formes

• Grant (2/5): - DO NOT STAY HERE- bathroom has no running water, broken sink, and broken shower. I tried to get help from the manager, but he did nothing, claimed he doesn't understand english (or thai), and stares at the ground in shame. Please see a gallery of real images of the move-in from this location. No one is even at this location most of the time and the place is littered with trash and empty bottles. Absolutely disgusting- no working mechanicals, poop in the toilet, broken sink, etc.

• Erich (2/5): - I booked 11 nights and when I showed up with a broken foot I learned they had only stairs and I was on the 5th floor. They told me I could check out and they would approve a refund and the mgmt has been purposefully avoiding Expedias calls and emails trying to avoid giving me the refund they promised. The one night I stayed there was sand in the bed from the previous tenant. Only stayed one night because we didn't have anywhere else to go.

• jay (10/5): A little gem - Forget the 5 star luxury just live the life. Great location near beach and so many good eats. Maybe a little rough around the edges but you could spend 2 weeks here for what you would pay for 2 nights elsewhere. When in phuket you are never in your room but to sleep,so its perfect.

• Kristal (10/5): - This hotel was fantastic value for money! The staff are friendly, the room was modestly dressed with an authentic feel and a king size bed. Everything was very clean, water is provided everyday. Everything was in working condition including the jug in my room so I could have coffee and tea. A staff member at reception gave me an adapter as I couldn’t charge my phone. The location is superb! Close to everything, beach, bangla road, markets, shopping center. I stayed in early April and it was fantastic value for money if you are on a budget. I couldn’t fault this place. Would highly recommend!!

• Brett (10/5): Very Comfortable and Close to Everything - Had a great stay at the Seaside Mansion for 7 nights. The rooms are clean, staff is very accommodating, there is a scooter rental spot across the street, a great restaraunt as well, a family mart for any necessities, and close to shopping and 5 minute walk to the beach. Very quiet with free WiFi. The Aussie owner is on property and takes pride in ownership and service, great guy. Sports bar in the lobby area to keep you close to action.

Next day cleaning lady did not show so the staff moved me to another room. Faucet in both rooms I occupied would not work. The one downstairs in the common area bathroom works perfectly. " LOST" my black colored traveling blue jeans when switched to another room. How does that happen?

• Bill (8/5): Great Location - Personally I think Patong is a bit of a touristy rip off compared to other places in Thailand. However it was nice to stay at very well priced hotel very close to the beach bars and restaurants. My room was small but had all the ammenities I needed . Very nice bunch of characters with a dry sense of humour who run the place we're very helpful. For the price you won't do any better in Patong.

• Alexis (10/5): Great location and good AC in the room. - The Black Pearl is in a great location for exploring Patong. A block from the beach, and an easy walk to the nightlife and market. It's nestled on a side street near a load of bars and restaurants, right next to a fancy resort. My room was quiet and the air conditioner worked great. The bed was hard (as is par for Thailand, I have learned), and the towels were in bad shape, so be warned. I didn't mind. I would stay again. It's simple, but in a great location and comfortable enough for me!

• john (6/5): Nice and close to the beach - Is close to the beach and Bangla r.d and shopping centre. Friendly staff, but no pool or elevator, if your unlucky and get a room on the top floor the ,stairs become a problem if you have had to much to drink.But overall good value for the money.
• Chase (10/5): Excellent experience. - I booked two rooms for this stay, one for a friend from Malaysia and one for myself and my friend I'm traveling with. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. Absolutely excellent service, rooms are very clean and comfortable. Most of all this experience has been made great by the owner, I've spent time talking to her daily, she's a very genuine person, great to talk to, helped out a lot for recommendations, and very generous. I can't thank her enough for taking care of us on this stay and I have nothing but the highest recommendation for here. Will stay here again without question.

• Traveller (2/5): I would never stay again - I'm a well-travelled person and know more or less what to expect for the price I pay. In my opinion, Black Pearl was the worst thing that could happen to you on a vacation. Although, there are so many things to complain about (30 years old building and furnitures, broken tv etc.), there is one thing in particular I think is unacceptable: There is no house keeping! The hotel is using environmental concerns as a pretext to not to change bed sheets and towels, unless you put them on the bathroom floor. So we put the bed sheets on the floor our 3rd day in the morning, and when we got back to the room after a tiring day out nothing was changed. The owner simply said they do not have clean bed sheets and we had to put back the dirty ones. Since that was our last night there and it was already midnight, we didn't look for another hotel. As you can imagine the room was not cleaned, toilet paper/shampoo/water etc. was not replaced, either.
• Ann Kok (8/5): Approachable Patong, Phuket. - The stay in Patong, Phuket was pleasant and Tatum Mansion provided a great living environment during the stay. The beach is only 100 meters away and Jungceylon, the shopping center is only a 10 minutes walk away. Bazaan, the local fresh market is also located directly behind Jungceylon and at night, it becomes the local night market. Tuk tuk services to Phuket town is at a thirty minutes interval and in Phuket town, you can switch to the other tuk tuks going to the other part of Phuket, ie, Karon beach, Kata beach etc.

• Gary (8/5): Perfect price and accommodation intersection - Less than half a block from the beach, precisely far enough and close enough to the action for the casual observer not precisely inclined to dive into the party headquarters of the world. The only draw back here is the lack of an elevator, but if you can rough it through the heat of the marble stairs to the fifth floor, the wall mount AC will soon get you back to comfortable. You came to escape the cold right? Also, look at the price, this isn't a luxury sweet, if that is what you want, pony up for somewhere else. For me this place definitely exceeded expectations for what we paid (~$44 US for the night, including the booking fees and taxes).
• Ryan (8/5): Central to everything... - When I arrived I was greeted with a warm smile, a very nice hello, and a smooth check in. Got my key after a bit of banter with Phil, the owner. My room was very well presented,clean and well maintained and comfortable. We had a change of plans due to song-kran and Phil helped us out, no worries. Great place to stay, close to everything and really helpful people. I AM going to stay here next time, and I would recommend to friends to stay here. Keep up the good work guys!
• Joseph (8/5): Good Location - We enjoyed our stay at the Tatum Mansion Hotel. The area was close to the beach and several good bars and restaurants. We were in Thailand for a couple of months and prefer other beaches/cities, but I would stay here again if we were ever to find ourselves in Patong.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Couldn't have asked for more for the money - For the price you can't beat this place. Was in an amazing location if your looking to hang out at the beach or party at night on Bangla. Room was clean, had a safe and drinking water. Bathroom clean. Hotel staff friendly.
• Tony (10/5): Great stay at Tatum Mansion - Stayed here previously, but on this occasion took the family. Tatum is situated in an excellent position, you only have to look around you to see the adjacent Horizon Resort, and Holiday Inn (all withinn 200m) of the hotel, but all several times the cost. The area is located in a quiet location, compared to most of Patong and is a perfect place for a restful nights sleep after a crazy night in Bangla Rd / Walking St. Tatum is spotlessly clean, staff are excellent and helpful, and more than happy to recommend places to go where you won't get ripped off. This would be the cream of Patong if it it had a sun terrace, or small splash pool to cool off, but the hotel is one 200m from the beach and as Phillip the owner says, the beach has got the biggest pool in Phuket! They even provide you with beach towels. Would recommend and will without question return again

• Richard (6/5): Good location but room could have been better. - We stayed at Tatum Mansion for 3 nights. The staff were friendly and the central location was great. The room (#205) had much to be desired. It was dark because the window was small, the CFL bulbs were dim during the evening, and there were mosquitos in the room. If we had a different room like the ones demonstrated on the Hotels.com website, our experience probably would've have been better. We requested a room change but the hotel was booked to capacity. FYI, the bed mattress was also extra firm and there is no enclosed shower stall like Western standards. It is enclosed by a curtain and the toilet and floor becomes wet.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Worth every penny! - Lovely small hotel close to the beach. Very helpful front desk. The rooms are tidy and have plenty of closet space for clothes etc. Noise from the stairs and hallway is clearly audible to the guest rooms, which can be a nuisance.
• steven (10/5): Great quiet hotel near the beach - I had a great stay here. The hotel is very close to the beach and quiet. It was very close to everything such as jungceylon and bangla rd. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and willing to help you out. The room was very comfortable and clean.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Good location - Me and my girlfriend only stayed there for one night. The room is clean but the air-conditioning is quite noisy, making it difficult to sleep. Fortunately, it was quite cool outside so it is still ok to sleep with the windows opened.
