It is super clean; the bed is very comfortable, and the breakfast is amazing with lots of choices; the service is excellent. Everything is stylish and chosen with taste in this place. - GEORGE (10/5): Super alternative to staying in Inverness! - Simply perfect. Lovely house, tasty breakfast. David and Rowena couldn’t have been more welcoming. And when we couldn’t find a working charger in Inverness for our rented EV, David graciously bailed me out! Phew, my wife was ready to kill me (and my great idea of testing the EV experience). We’d return in a heartbeat. Thanks again, David

Double sinks, a rainforest shower and a deep soaking tub. What more could you ask for. Breakfast also was excellent. Highly recommended if you are in the Nairn area.

- Josh (10/5): Don’t miss this place!!!! - Super amazing place. Great location, super clean, great people and amazing breakfast. Upgraded to be new but the home has very traditional touches. One of the best places we stayed on our trip.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Everything about the Tali Ayer was 1st class. We felt extremely welcome and the service was excellent. Breakfast was the royal treatment. The only issue we had was when we booked our room it was not clear we were on the 3rd floor and the ceilings were gabled. I almost knocked myself out when I walked into the ceiling. Regardless I will book again and without reservation recommend Tali Ayer to my family & friends. As we say down South, "They are good folks".
- Susi (8/5): - The house and rooms were lovely. Ideal situation for the town and train station. Very nice breakfast and owner very attentive.
- Liying (10/5): Perfection - Tali Ayer, is the place to stay if you're in Nairn. The house is full of charm, beautifully furnished, with some South-east Asian flavour (in terms of paintings and statues). David and Rowena are amazing hosts, and both my husband and I adore them so. We can spend hours talking to both of them. David's wit, both their wealth of stories, and their hospitality are a joy to us this trip. My husband and I went to eat at The Classroom just near Tali Ayer (as recommended by David) and it was absolutely delicious. The room we stayed in was comfortable, and clean as well. Tali Ayer is a short walk through the city center from Nairn beach. Breakfast cooked by Rowena was scrumptious. David ensured everybody's comfort and kept the conversation going when we had breakfast at his handsome, communal table. I just cannot recommend this place enough - David and Rowena are so very lovely, gracious, and helpful. Hope to stay at Tali Ayer again if I'm at Nairn - definitely will stay an extra night the next time!
- James (10/5): - Beautiful home! Loquacious host!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - David and his wife are fantastic hosts with an excellent property. Room was nice sized, well equipped and comfortable. Bed and pillows were wonderful. Bath is modern and very nicely equipped as well.
I definitely recommend Tali Ayer!!
- HUSH (10/5): - Absolutely the best place I could have possibly stayed at in Scotland. My Hosts were the nicest and most friendly people I have ever met. I felt like I was coming home every day after I returned from my tours and activities. Additionally, the Rail Station is a short 3 minute walk from the home. Neighborhood had plenty of nice places to eat within walking distance. The beach was a 15 minute walk as well..
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A beautiful old house with character and charm. The room was beautifully decorated with modern facilities.
The owners were very friendly and the breakfast was excellent.
We dined at the ‘Old School Room’ located a couple of hundred metres down the road and thoroughly enjoyed our dinner.
We thoroughly recommend the Tali Ayer B&B.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The room was the most amazing we have had. The location is perfect for touring the Inverness area. The breakfast is of the highest quality, but a little daily variety of choices such as French toast, potatoes, and pastries would be nice.
- FrankS (10/5): - Beautifully restored, wonderful breakfast and dinner is the best I've had in Ireland. A must see and stay.
- Laura (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay, very hospitable owners and interesting guests. Great location for us! Clean and comfortable- new bathrooms- ( tho a hair dryer would be nice!)

- Marcia (10/5): - Beautiful, large home that is very close to tourist sites and restaurants. Within walking distance to beautiful sandy beaches and within a 10 or 15 drive to Culloden Battlefield and Cawdor Castle.
- Verified traveler (6/5): long distance from beach Very expensive for a boar - very expensive for a boarding house wit no facilities,no bar etc;
the bathroom was very nice and the breakfast was very good

- Verified traveler (10/5): super nice first class - folks so friendly and nice helpful
nice walk to beach and town and to grab something to eat
- Heather (8/5): Nairn - A great alternative to Inverness - Beautiful home in adorable Nairn. Gracious hosts, with terrific breakfast. Can't believe how clean it is, and easy parking. Super easy to find. Bed very firm, lots of noise from seagulls and birds, lack of ventilation (we run hot).
- DOROTHY (10/5): Great Location, Breakfast and Pub Nearby - Excellent location, gracious host, modern upgraded ensuite and the breakfast is spectacular. Dinner is easy with an outstanding pub restaurant a 5 minute walk from the B&B. Stay at Tali Ayer and you won't be disappointed.
- Verified traveler (10/5): It is really a B&B. Owners very nice. - Great room with large bathroom. Extremely comfortable
- Verified traveler (10/5): Beautiful b and b in Nairn Scotland - The hosts are warm and kind. The facilities far exceeded our wildest expectations. The train station and everything you need is an easy walk away.
We highly recommend Tali Ayer....you can't go wrong
- NickiR222 (10/5): Friendly and welcoming stay - Great location, fantastic room and facilities. Welcoming and friendly staff.
It's not a standard B&B - you're not just given a key and shown to your room. David & Rowena welcome you and get to know you, offering helpful suggestions for your stay.
Breakfast is an all round the same table affair but you soon get chatting so any initial awkwardness is soon gone.
Would highly recommend
- Verified traveler (10/5): Enjoyed our stay. - We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed it. Very comfortable and relaxing. The hosts we're very welcoming.
- SUSAN (10/5): - Hosts were very kind and welcoming. The wifi was not strong and we spent time in living room connecting. The bathroom light was automatic and came on in the middle of the night with any movement. Otherwise a beautiful location, lovely B&B
- Kit (10/5): Amazing stay, lovely rooms - David and Rowena were lovely hosts. The rooms were impeccable and the breakfast provided was delicious.
- Dick (10/5): Lovely house in a large quiet garden - We had a lovely time in Nairn, and the weather is often better than the rest of Scotland. We were made very welcome by thw owners and enjoyed the surroundings of the house and town. Most places are within an easy walk, although the beach a bit further. We could do a lot without using our car which was a bonus.

- Verified traveler (8/5): - Rowena and David are excellent hosts! We were in our room minimally but it was nicely done. We booked a room with a double bed which is on the small side for me but that was my own doing.
- Jerrica (10/5): 5-star bed and breakfast - We couldn't be more glad to have booked this bed and breakfast in Nairn. David and Rowena were wonderful hosts and the room we were allocated is so big and spacious, the bed is so comfortable that we had such good sleep during our stay. The bathroom is equipped with all sorts of amenities that you can find in a 5-star hotel and we really enjoyed hot baths after long drives and bearing the cold and wet weather during the day.
- Kerry (8/5): Old world charm - beautiful house lovely room with a view of back garden. A great breakfast
- Stuart (10/5): Top marks!! - We cameb to nairn for a few days as a get-away. We wanted to visit some sites and attractions, but also to relax and let our hair down. The hotel was warm, inviting and quirky, decorated in some oldr furniture mixed with ornate chinese pieces. Rooms were more modern, comfy (which was the bonus) and the bathroom stole the show... Very nice!!! Breakfast was different as this was round one table... A tad awkward for a minute but we all got talking very quickly, very good and engaging. The owners were extremely attentive and very interested but not too invasive. Top marks and a fantastic stay!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): A really enjoyable experience - Not much more to add beyond the title, really nice knowledgable hosts, a lovely room and great breakfasts.
