Guest Reviews
- Bob (10/5): - Have been staying this hotel for many vacations.
Probably one of the better hotels in Davao for the price.
Definitely not 5 star, but it's away's a home away from home for me.
- Charisse (8/5): - accessible and serves breakfast buffet
- Akira (8/5): - ピープルズパークの目の前という立地。WiFiは室内ではかなり弱かった。
- Myrla (8/5): - Place needs reno . It’s outdated but very convenient to everything. Staff attentive.
- RAYMUND (8/5): - Improve the intermet facility
- Verified traveler (6/5): ピープルズパークに最も近い。 - 設備(特にエアコン)音がうるさい。
予約の変更(予約のチェックアウト日を1日早めた。その情報は早めに言っていた)は払い戻し出来ないと言われた。
- Glenn (4/5): - There is no WiFi. Its is advertised and they give you a password but the WiFi does not work at all. The mattresses are extremely thin. More like army barracks mattress than a hotel. Hot water takes up 5 mins to reach the 2nd floor. Very inconvenient. Bed side lamp does not work. Batteries in safe needed replacing but they did not know how to do. The gave me new safe and put onto of old safe. New safe was not bolted down so anyone could life up safe and walk out room with it. Terrible hotel and not recommend.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Classic Gem - The hotel's interior is a bit outdated -however, it is clean and in good condition. The restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. Will stay here again whenever I am in Davao!
- SVB (8/5): - The airconditioning was very noisy, could not sleep good.
Thermostat of the refigerator was not working properly, could not be adjusted.
A jug with water of the hotel, I put in the refigerator exploded, too cold because of the defected refigerator.
Therefore I must pay 1000 peso for the broken Jug.
- Henry (6/5): - Towels are old, need to be replaced. Resto and staff were ok
- Henry (8/5): - Accessible. Front 4 parking spaces available. Can also park at slots at the resto on the right side. Management has to replace the towels which are already old and supposed to be white in color
- Verified traveler (2/5): - booked in for 22 nights stayed one night
Booked a room at 32 m² given a room of 18 m² stayed one night disgraceful never booked this hotel
- Verified traveler (10/5): - staff are helpful specially the security guard who kept company our nephew while her mother was undergoing hospital treatment. Good for family stay great location
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We arrived late in the evening from out of town. Reception was very easy and the dinner was very good. The clam soup was substantial and very delicious. The hotel location was just right and accessible.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The place is easy to find out, even though expedia’s location info is wrong.
The building is not so new but enough cleanness
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Reasonable price, accommodating syaff and good location.
Internet connection is quite slow especially inside the room . It shall be improved.
- Verified traveler (8/5): SPACIOUZ - VERY SPACIOUS
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Will be much better when reconstruction is finished.
- Gary (10/5): A nice clean hotel - It was pretty nice. Great location.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very pleasant stay, warm and friendly staff, good food & great service. We will stay there again.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Waited for 3 hours checking-in, CR no wxhaust room 203
- Len (8/5): NIce hotel beside Peoples park - Room nice. clean and convenient to ou needs. The only issue was water pressure for shower, but was fixed quickly.
- Anthony (10/5): Awesome stay good was perfect - Loved it nice and clean cheap and close to all amenities and people’s park just across loved it from Australia
- craig (8/5): Second stay within a week......highly recommended - Stayed twice while on transit to another destination........will be returning very soon
- craig (8/5): Nice classic hotel near Center of town - Plesent stay, clean spacious rooms, nice restaurant and helpful staff
- Verified traveler (8/5): Decent hotel with good Davao City location. - Hotel across the street from the People's Park. Also, around the corner from a 7-11. Other restaurants on block. Hotel more like a business/conference traveler hotel. Breakfast buffet really decent. Overhead shower was great (if in room)! Short walk to busier streets and sites.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Too Expensive for Deteriorating/Old Facilities - We will definitely not stay in this hotel again!! We often go to davao and we always stay in hotels. So far, this is the worst hotel Ive been in Davao considering its price. For 2,500, you can easily book a very nice, large and comfy rooms at grand menseng or microtel if u book ahead of time and avail of their promos. I was expecting a comparably large, convenient room for such a price, but the room was small, old, dark (there are only 2 yellow lights that reading or working will strain your eyes), old bathroom/CR, and the worst part was the AIRCONDITIONING!! The aircon was barely working that it was so warm inside the room, my husband had to sleep on the floor where the very weak aircon fan is hitting.
- tJive (4/5): So-so hotel - Rude front desk staff. Very inconsiderate of guests' needs and comfort.
- jacob (8/5): Good Value. - Zero view, unless you like rusty tin roofs.
- Gilligan (6/5): Downtown near people's park - Cute rooms with excellent simple decor, firm bed, new air conditioning, free coffee and breakfast. Near an excellent sashimi restaurant and 7 Eleven. I enjoyed my stay however like several hotels in the Philippines the staff is not well trained or ingratiating. The room was a bit dusty but the hotel restaurant has excellent kinilaw, best I've had. Could use a pool because you're downtown in a slight traffic zone. Easy to grab a taxi but guard won't initiative or help which most hotel guards in the Philippines do. Ok Lang hotel. Slept like a baby there :). Mostly local business folk stay there, few foreigners. Give it a try
- Russell (2/5): Steer clear unless you want to feel a prison camp - I happened to arrive in town at the same time as a big conference so my usual stay at the Marco Polo was not an option due to it being fully booked. I therefore, looked at price and foolishly thought that cost of room equates to quality of hotel. How wrong could I be. Let's be honest the area is fine and it is nicely located and the room is adequate but not great, especially given the price. My issues were in relation to the service or shall I say lack of service or rude service. Upon check in I was waiting for a completely unreasonable amount of time and even with three girls behind to counter not one could work out who was serving me. They continuously served others who came up to the counter and completely neglected me. When I asked for a second key it was totally refused and I was made to feel completely embarrassed by the way that they spoke to me. However, the absolute worsts part of my stay was the breakfast. I arrived a good hour before breakfast was to finish so it wasn't due to being late that caused my issues. There was one other person in the breakfast room and three staff working there plus the kitchen staff. I had to ask for a spoon, then I had to ask for a bowl, then I had to ask for milk, then I had to ask for coffee. Once coffee arrived I had to ask again for milk, sugar and a spoon. It was worse than Fawlty Towers and if it wasn't so bad it would have been completely laughable. I stay in around 200 hotels a year and this has to be in my bottom 5 of all time
- Wella (6/5): - Fairly good.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Stayed 4 days - The hotel staff helped us get our lost luggage back from Air China. Breakfast was good, rooms clean, beds comfortable. Right across the street from the Peoples Park, also close to a mall and many restaurants..
- Verified traveler (8/5): Accessible - Wonderful. Food is delicious. Staff are accomodating and hot and cold bath is soothing.
- David (6/5): Good service - Ok hotel. good free breakfast buffet and good service. Standard room is very small.
- David (6/5): - Very small room. Elevator not working so had to carry one bag up for flights. Wifi a joke. Good bed and shower and refrigerator included. Buffet breakfast with great waiters.
- David (6/5): Mixed results - First room was very noisy opposite Peoples Park. People in the next room were eating Durian which is supposed to be banned by the hotel. We requested a different room and were moved to one that was terrible. Shower dribbled, no wifi. We were told that shower head could not be changed because it was part of the unit. However I easily unscrewed it and showed it to them. The manager then got involved and upgraded our room to one that was very nice with a good shower and more space. Only problem was a dog constantly barking on that side of the hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Staff - Staff was excellent, they squared away any problem we have in a very timely manner. Food at their restaurant was very good and we ate breakfast there everyday.
- Paul Gerald (6/5): A decent business stay - Not perfect but good
- Dan (6/5): OK but a bit expensive. - OK but not affordable.
- Graham (10/5): Would definitely recommend - Hard to fault this hotel. Great location, very clean room, good wifi and a free breakfast. Would definitely book again.
- travelling Kano (8/5): Centrally located. Nice hotel - Pleasant staff. Helpful with area sight seeing and tour packages. Good all you can eat buffet breakfast.
- Joe (8/5): Nice Hotel Closed to People park - This is a very nice hotel to stay. It's across the street from people park. It is also close to Jolly bee and McDonalds for a great breakfast. Breakfast is free in the hotel, but you may want a traditional American breakfast. I stayed in the executive sweet and so I had a balcony. The room was spacious and the bathroom was up to date with American standard tub, toilet, and wash basin. All in all, I would come again.
- David Honorio III (2/5): VERY DISAPPOINTING - They overbooked the rooms. When I got there no more rooms are available. Very unpleasant!! they don't know what to do.. very disappointing!!
- Johanna (8/5): Good location - Location wise. Infront of peoples park. Near restaurant and transportation. Good filipino buffet breakfast. Room was spacious but no view. I didnt like the shower. Need to wait a minute or two for hot water. Also tv has only 1 channel. Overall, it was a good stay
- Emad (10/5): A honymoon staying - Excellent for those who can afford a bit extra cash for luxury stay. Good quality in term of everything, cleanness, furnitures, aircon, neighborhood, front disk staff, breakfast, check-in and check-out.
I would love to stay there if I come to Davao once again.
- brett (8/5): Aussie Traveller - Stayed for four nights, staff were great.
Drinks selection was a little limited and No WiFi
- gary (6/5): Great location from park - the staff at the hotel was excellent. They knew us by name and always aimed to please. Staying across the street from People's Park allowed us to eat breakfast and dinner and walk afterwards.
- T Manuel A (8/5): Great place to stay - The place was clean, comfortable and perfect for my needs. Better yet, the price I paid was lower than the established 'discounted' rate which was truly a bonus.
- richard allan (8/5): location location - location is heart of the city. Nice & frindly staff. difinetely go back to this hotel if we were given a chance to have vacation in davao again.
