- Guest (10/5): Earth is flat, and Lauren is the cocktail king đ - Friendly staff made me feel at home, highly recommended, massive thank you to the landlord Lauren, Jeremy, Annie, David the silent chef and turbo the regular, these guys made a Welsh man working away from home feel at home⊠big thanks guys from Richard
- Natalie (10/5): - Friendly and welcoming - when you travel alone it's nice to stay somewhere that you feel comfortable in.
- Andy (8/5): -
- Guest (9/5): Brilliant - Friendly welcoming host with warm comfy room and good food in a very quiet rural hamlet All was good for the price
- Kevin (10/5): Excellent, lovely landlady, who you can see works really hard to please her guests - This is a very old lovely building with lovely old beams and tiny little doors to your room which gives it a lovely homely feel, you step into your room and the room was high and spacious and had all you needed for a nights stay, the bed was very comfy and everything was clean, we had a freshly cooked breakfast which was absolutely gorgeous, we were made to feel really welcome, with a lovely host, highly recommend this lovely place, would visit again No faults
- Dennis (10/5): A wonderful example of the traditional English country inn. - Charming English pub, good food, lovely staff. In the midst of beautiful English countryside. Nothing to mention
- Graham (10/5): Green shines bright - I would recommend The Inn On The Green as a good place to stay. The pub was lovely and clean with a good breakfast served in the morning. The landlady was very friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout my stay.
- Sarah (10/5): Wonderful staff and great food - The staff were exceptional. We stayed during our charity walk so we arrived very tired and quite late. They couldn't do enough for us and it was so very well received and needed! The rooms are a bit dated, but they are clean and comfortable.
- John (10/5): - Very friendly, nice clean and comfy rooms great hosts, definitely recommend staying there
- Victor (8/5): - Staff always brilliant and customers always friendly
- Nicole (9/5): -
- Andrew Barrett (7/5): Great value in an expensive area - Value and location. Warm greeting from staff and made me sandwich as was leaving before breakfast service room on roadside a bit noisy but they do provide ear plugs
- Michael (7/5): -
- Wood (8/5): A great stay made exceptional by Julie - Julie was just so lovely from the off. Couldn't do enough to make my stay nice. Was do eager to make me something to eat even tho the kitchen had closed. Accommodated my special diet too. Thanks Julie. The place is a little tired but because Julie's care and attention is outstanding it's still a fab place to stay and I will return.
- Pauline (6/5): - Comfortable, dinner and a food breakfast Single glazed window on the road, despite booking otherwise I was told ' all that's left'.. shame I booked months in advance only to be told on room inspection that was all that was left.
- Paul (2/5): - The place is looking very tired. It needs a serious upgrade. Same as above
- Stephen (9/5): -
- June (8/5): -
- Alessandro (7/5): -
- Shaun (8/5): - Pleasant friendly staff.Nice room. Traffic noise a bit irritating.
I would stay again

- Ingrid (8/5): Fijn verblijf gehad. In een mooie en rustige omgeving. - We hebben een heerlijke âhome cooked mealâ gegeten. Fijn personeel. We hadden pech maar werden heel goed geholpen. Ontbijt werd vers bereid en was heerlijk. Het is wat verouderd maar daar is de prijs ook naar. Zit vlak bij het vliegveld. Wij hadden daar weinig last van.
- Ruth (7/5): -
- Richard (8/5): Fine for able-bodied for a short stay. - Room was fairly basic but perfectly adequate, friendly owners and a good breakfast. Good beer selction! Access to room a little awkward and "nadgery" - stairs, narrow corridor and room door up two steps, but manageable. Situated directly on a fairly busy road (but big car park nearby)
- Deborah Day (9/5): -
- gary (8/5): -
- Linda (7/5): Oke... - Eten was goed...simpel maar wel ok! Kamer kan wel wat opgeknapt worden maar het is een oud gebouw dus het paste wel bij de sfeer...
- Luxton (9/5): -
- Clare (4/5): Very friendly staff, but rooms need renovating. - The location was great for local festivals and the village is pretty. The staff were lovely and the food was good. However, the condition of the rooms did not match the price per night. Every floorboard creaked and the bed was both small and creaky, making sleep difficult. There was a lot of visible mould on the shower curtain, the bathroom light was flickering, the toilet roll holder was coming away from the wall. The chair in the bedroom was broken with the broken piece still lying on the floor and there were cobwebs on the lights and walls.
The after hours entrance was through an unlit storage area which felt unsafe due to rotten beams holding up two industrial air conditioners just above the door you entered by. The door was also unlocked all night allowing anyone to enter the property and access the guest rooms.
Making some small changes would make this a much nicer stay but in its current state, it is overpriced.
- Keir (10/5): -
- Clarke (5/5): Great freshly cooked food. Shame about the tired, worn out & dirty room - The food was very tasty & fresh. The property was in need of a decent decorating and/or refurbishment throughout, it was extremely tired & outdated.
- Anna-Katharina (10/5): -
- lee (8/5): -
- Guest (6/5): On the whole it was adequate and provided a cheap bed and breakfast which was what I was after - the evening meal and breakfast The room was basic but then it was cheap
- william (9/5): - Great host
- Anthony (8/5): Good value for a short stay. - The room was clean and simply furnished; quite adequate for two nights' stay (though not serviced after the first night). I didn't eat a cooked breakfast, but the selection of cereals and toast were fine, and the coffee was very good. The "hostess" was very pleasant and friendly. Various parts of the property, especially the road frontage, could do with redecoration, and maybe some hanging baskets ?
- Demi (7/5): -
- Tim (7/5): A good stop over from Goodwood festival - It is a 500 year old Inn so yes it is a little tired but all amenities were there, rooms were clean and landlady was lovely. As an overnight stay post Goodwood, it it was fine, breakfast was good too
- Nicola (8/5): - Good value for money, and food was excellent. Our request for two rooms close to each other was able to be accommodated. Host was warm and friendly, lovely place to stay.
- ian (8/5): Did the job - Friendly Road noise
- Helen (8/5): Capel military show - The staff are very friendly. The garden is very good. The food is good and not overpriced.we We felt that the pub/rooms were a bit tired, but that wouldn't put us off staying there again.
- Neil (6/5): An enjoyable stay in a lovely old Inn. - Enjoyed our stay at The Inn On The Green. The staff were great and the food was excellent especially the Sunday Roast.
We were in a quiet room at the back of The Inn. The room we were in could have done with some repairs and redecoration, the toilet roll holder was hanging off the wall and the bathroom was a bit dingy and dated
- Kirsty (8/5): Good value for money - Friendly staff, spacious room, fan in room, lovely breakfast, plenty of parking Rooms a bit dated and worn
- Lord Trevor (4/5): Not what I expected - It was nice being met by friendly staff. Could have introduced themselves so we know names, makes it more home from home then. Both dinners were great, well cooked and very tasty. It was sad to see the venue is tired in a lot of places. My room smelt of damp, dusty smell, Bed was rubbly and head board not attached and moved. Electric could be looked at ASAP as the USB port only one works, lose trunking and wiring a worry. Flacking walls, dirty windows, VERY NOISY ROAD!!! room 4, right near the road, can't be helped I know. But didn't get much sleep. Because of that lack of sleep, had to lave work earlier as I was sooo tired. I some places the flooring was sticky down stairs, a strong sign the floors are not being mopped with HOT soapy water each day. Drinking glass first day was dirty and served Luke warm bottle of still water. sad, because the food was really nice. Kettle in room 4...how does one fill it up with water??? I had to use the shower in the end to have a hot drink. Sink in the toilet is very small and kettle doesn't fit in ti fill it up. Extractor fan in the toilet at night time is very loud, sounds like an aeroplane starting up, I feel for rooms next door hearing that late at night.
Overall the venue and rooms could do with a really good decorating to bring up to clean, modern standards.
- Sabine (1/5): - The property was in an exceptionally bad state
And totally overprized
- Nicholas (8/5): -
- Slawomir (10/5): -
- George (9/5): -
- Melissa (10/5): -
- Guest (8/5): Good amenities good location and meals and drinks at fair and reasonable prices prices - Excellent Rooms on Ground Floor
Larger Fan as it was quiet hot
- Malcolm (8/5): Old pub still in use, with great fresh cooking - Room Clean
Food freshly cooked Parts of the building need TLC
- Graham (10/5): Old world experience - A very friendly and clean hotel oldy world with creaking floorboards. Lovely garden for outside eating and Competetively priced.
- Shamira (4/5): -
- pauline (7/5): A bit run down, needs more attention to detail. - Good location and grounds for a catch-up with an old friend. The toilet didnât flush, and while the handyman came to fix, it leaked, resulting in us having to change rooms. While the room was clean and made up, there was a used towel behind the door.
- Robert (7/5): -
- Karon (8/5): -
- Ad (8/5): - Vintage gezelligheid met een hartelijke barvrouw Het regende
- Anthony (7/5): - breakfast and dinner were good Floorboards squeaking can be annoying and shower control needs some WD40
- Urs (9/5): -
- Harold (7/5): -
- jane (8/5): good location very relaxing - very friendly staff excellent food comfortable room dog enjoyed his stay
- Jackson (7/5): - Room was okay, bed comfortable but lots of road noise.
- Tony (9/5): - Lovely Old 1500s hotel very good facilities and staff.I would recommend this place to everyone
- Rosemary (9/5): very enjoyable - quirky and comfortable, very friendly, the front of the building could do with a revamp, everything else was superb.
- Glenn (8/5): -
- Guest (9/5): -
- Viv george (9/5): -
- Ana (7/5): - Room was very clean and comfortable, food was excellent and staff was very friendly and accommodating. It was a bit dated and very quiet
- Rosemary (8/5): Pleasant inn. - Staff made us feel very welcome. Very good well cooked breakfast. Evening meal good value. My husband said the beer was good. Nothing really
- Monica (7/5): -
- Stephen (10/5): -
- hunting (7/5): overall a nice place - breakfast very good and evening dinner good staff friendly the room front room noisy difficulty going too sleep
- Colin (2/5): See above - Location Exterior in very poor condition interior poorly lit drab dated decor plaster peeling of walls generally neglected windows rotten window in room rotten paint flaking not shutting properly mismatched cheap furniture tiny shower actually in the bathroom anyone bigger than a teenager wouldnât be comfortable in it low pressure but water was warm worryingly ear plugs provided by bed because their was no double glazing and the room was extremely noisy, threadbare cheap linen cheap thin towels tiny inadequate sink and to top it all breakfast couldnt be provided but a choice of a cold sandwich to take away was the only option one plus point was the member of staff was polite and friendly in short worst accommodation i have stayed in in the last 10 years embarrassing needs removing from Booking.com
- Ian (5/5): Nice staff. Special building but probably wouldn't stay again. - Classic British pub. Nice staff. Cleanliness of bathroom.
Sealing of windows.
Quality of ham.
- Martin (8/5): -
- claire (6/5): -
- Andy (9/5): - Very good all round breckfast was at 8am lovely
- Jolyon (4/5): Easy to find, free parking. - Food fresh, tasty, prompt.
Friendly cook
- Victoria (9/5): Very comfortable - My room was a bit dated but very comfortable and clean. I had a lovely bath and a very good night's sleep. There were 2 big windows in my room which let in lots of light and as it was a very sunny day this was very welcome. I had a very nice meal in the evening and a good breakfast. Parking is very good as there is a huge car park next to the hotel and the area is fantastic for walks and beautiful scenery, especially in Spring and Summer. There was nothing I didn't like.
- Sarah (7/5): -
- oreol1 (6/5): Outdated room - Dinner was good and the lady behind the bar was nice
The sheets were clean.
The room was in layout too old, the very small shower fell apart,
the carpet probably (and hopefully) cleaned but you could't really see that anymore. The smell was what you can expect in an
old building, not really fresh.
Noises from everywhere, but we slept quite well and didn't need the provided earplugs.
- dave (8/5): - Staff were friendly and food was excellent Nothing worth mentioning
- Dan (8/5): Comfortable and friendly -
- Wendy (8/5): A comfortable stay and we wouldn't hesitate to stay again. - The cooked breakfast was extremely good and the staff were happy to provide exactly what was requested and plenty of hot drink refills.
The room was spacious and clean with a lovely extra large double bed. As it was located at the back of the property it was lovely and quiet so a very restful night. The decor was a little dated and tired but this was only a minor point as the stay was very good value.
- Nigel (8/5): Very welcoming.. lovely food .. and comfortable stay. - Very nice welcoming.. lovely food .. also changed rooms for me. There was a continuous sound from the alarm .. which I heard .. although in my bedroom it was faint but seems like the proprietor canât seem to turn it off .. although sheâs tried.
- Catherine (8/5): -
- Lucy (10/5): - Great location, nice clean spacious room, amazing staff and food. Nothing, it was great - will deffo be returning đ
- Trevor (7/5): - Nice food and friendly staff. Room very hot and couldn't turn down. Needs a good clean and makeover. Paper thin toilet paper. Shower very feeble.
- Carl (10/5): -
- Adam (8/5): Get Inn on the Green! - The staff are lovely. This is the 2nd time I have stayed here. We were wlaking in the area, and they let us dump our bags earlier than check in. The rooms are a little tired but they comfortable and warm. Nice beds and in a nice area. Breakfast was also spot on. N/A
- Michael (8/5): Friendly and personable focus on guest needs. - Customer care of the owner.
An authentic pub with rooms.
Very dog friendly.
- Corinne (8/5): - Lovely short break away from hustle & bustle. Lovely location & friendly staff.
- Victor (10/5): - Friendly staff and atmosphere
Food was good and bes comfortable Nothing
- Ionut Stefan (10/5): -
- Camillo (9/5): - Atmosfera Mancano alcune attenzioni nella camera .
- John (10/5): Traditional, Friendly, Good Food. Don't let comments about tired rooms put you off this lovely pub. - Very friendly welcome. Traditional pub with good menu and lovely sausages and bacon for breakfast I would agree with other comments that the accommodation and stairs/landings are looking dated and tired but this is just the nature of this type of accommodation and it is reflected in their pricing strategy so I still think it is excellent value for money, and far outweighed by the welcome and the food so I will be happily go again.
