• Amanda (2/5): - I paid for my stay through hotels.com and had to pay again at the property because they claimed “hotels.com” didn’t pay us. When they did get they payment from hotels.com. Thankfully hotels.com got me my money back I paid through them and I hope this place gets shut down from the health department and BBB!!!

• Verified traveler (2/5): - At check-in, the receptionist was rude and seemed annoyed. There were signs scolding potential customers on the walls, which was alarming. I had already paid through my travel app and it was the middle of the night, so I decided to give it a chance. I was horrified one in the room. Door broken, door frame broken (looked like the door had been kicked in), lock/latch broken on inside of the door, cigarette burn holes were on the comforter and the sheets, a brown sticky substance was on the sheets alone with hair, something yellow and sticky and something that had hardened, the “comforter” was basically a moderately thicker sheet that was brown in color and had more stains and dirt on it than I can describe, the floors were sticky, there was feces floating in the toilet, hair on the toilet seat, hair in the tub, counter was sticky, light fixture was broken, the bathroom door wouldn’t close .... and this isn’t even all. There were three different people in the parking lot asking us for drugs and cigarettes as well. The photos on the travel apps are legitimate lies. This was seriously awful. This should be closed down.

• Verified traveler (2/5): - The first room I was in had no fridge no microwave and my neighbor showed me the 8th rat that she killed in her room as well as the room on other side of me had tons of roaches and the room they sent me to the day had no cooling going on the air conditioning was broke and I was told to deal with it I'm still wIting in my towels, washcloths,etc to shower and sheets for my bed it's 7 p.m.

This will definitely not be a stop for me again. The staff however on duty was really nice and did the best she could considering the busy checkins

The parking lot hasnt been repaved or sealed in years and all the trees had been limbed to make them bare. We were tired and needed a nap. The staff was lively and carrying on outside (and that was okay because it waa 12 noon) which made it difficult for us to get any sleep. The rooms had newer hard surface floors. Our tv remote did not work. There was garbage beside the bed from the previous lodger. As well as a dirty washcloth hanging over the shower head. Its basically one step above sleeping in the street

• Fernanda (2/5): worst place I've had or the displeasure of being - this was the worst place I have been in my life, this hotel could not be run for hygiene and health reasons, full of cockroaches, spiders and mites, extremely dirty sheets with cigarette ash, hair and thick dry stains, plus smell unbearable of cigarettes. my son lay in the bed of shorts in less than 5 minutes raised all red full of red pellets and allergy due to lack of hygiene, this place can not work, the website hotels.com should not accept on their platform a place like this. and he did not want to give me back my money, they told me to get in touch with the site that owed me the money. after all, I could not stay for 12 minutes or so the lack of conditions of the place. I want my money back!!!!

Perhaps my reservation helped someone to keep working on this, but it needs to be disclosed in the reservation. Sometimes, I need to have what you are truly advertising.
• Verified traveler (2/5): - By far the worst motel I've ever stayed at. Upon arrival, it was obvious it's a cheap motel by the clientele standing around. The staff, all three, took forever to check myself and two others in.the room was almost too bad to even stay in, but after driving for over 12 hours, I was just too tired. The bed spread had cigarette burns all over it, when I touched the AC unit the entire front fell off cutting my hand. The only positive thing I can say is, no bedbugs.

This was a sleep with your clothes on kind of place. On the plus side, the tv worked and it was warm in the room. I paid a little less than $50 for the night, but given the state of the place, that was no bargain. $15.95/night would be a fair price for this dump.

• Verified traveler (2/5): - I liked that the property was affordable. The room was not cleaned and was very dirty. I could see out the door when it was closed, but not the window. There was a very heavy smell of uncleanliness, that when I left my cloths smelled like the room. I told the staff and they were very apologetic, but I cleaned the room myself just to get some sleep. I would never stay there again the way the place is know. The place was damaged by the storm but that did not have anything to do with the cleanliness of the place. Please close your doors and revamp the place just for peoples sake.

Staff was very rude and offered no condolences or reason why the reservation was canceled other than "the hotel was full when you reserved so we do not understand why you were able to get a reservation". Will not ever try to stay here again.

• JonC (4/5): - Pictures can(and are) deceiving. Motel is in great need of a facelift, interior and exterior. Room I was given had big gaps in the door frame and had that funky musty smell. Was just terrible. A/C unit was on the loud side and the temp probe was 'wonky' in that one setting it will try and freeze you and a tiny adjustment had the room in almost no time hot. Also, there was no fridge, micro or coffee maker in the room. Staff was friendly enough tho. I would highly recommend staying somewhere else in Florence and here only out of desperation.

• spencer (2/5): Worst motel, shady management, dangerous area - I stayed here due to last minute circumstances and was very disappointed at my entire experience. Initially I upon arriving I was interrogated about how I purchased the room on hotels.com, ends up they doubled charged me. A week later and multiple calls to the motel has resulted in no authorized manager that can review the incident. Extremely dishonest. I’m used to staying at cheap motels but this one was by far the worse. I booked a nonsmoking room yet my eyes burned upon entering the room and the smell of cigarettes was overwhelming. The carpet in the rooms is so disgusting that I refused to walk barefoot. The bed had a visible depression due to the poor quality of the mattress and the sheets were stained. Of course the bathroom and shower were also unsanitary. The area also feels very unsafe so much so that I put my machete next to my bed and walked quickly to my room when I left. I strongly believe that had it not been extreme thunderstorms and flooding while I was there I would’ve been a victim of some kind of crime. Luckily I did book thru hotels.com so they refunded my stay even though they were also never able to contact a manager. The only positive of my stay was my interaction with hotels.com customer service.

Bed sheets had yellow stains. Light over sink took 10 mins to cut on. Microwave was dirty. Fridge had hair in it. TV had no remote control. I woll never book a room with them again. At check out they never ask how was your stay. You complain to them it goes in one ear and out the other. I will not suggest this hotel to no one.

The bathroom had brown human waste marks on the wall (language filter will not let me post what it was), the bed sheets were stained and missing top blankets, and the carpet was dingy and smelly. I definitely felt the $45 I paid for the night was a mistake. My wife coped with it by imagining we were camping. Keep in mind, this was a move from the first one we were given which was of similar condition, but with a non-functional toilet. Stay away.

The TV needs updating. Get what you pay for. Front desk was nice and eager to please. Other reviews had me just about changing my mind about staying here. But I'm glad I didn't. It is in a business area. I did not have any issues from other residents and it was quiet.

• Valerie (2/5): NEVER AGAIN - LOCATION WAS AWESOME ON PROBLEM TUBS STAINED NOT CLEAN DIDN'T HAVE ROOM SERVICE AND TOWELS WAS VERY THIN..THEN AT ON POINT DIDN'T HAVE TOWELS OR WASHCLOTH HAD TO GO TO WALMARTS AND BUY MY OWN.
• dave biegacki (2/5): Should be condemned - We had bed bugs and lice. Stayed here over NASCAR weekend. The owners should go to jail for the prices and accommodations they provides. Ready any reviews on yelp. Wish I had before this stay.
• Bruce (2/5): This was the worst ever - The a/c did not work--it was cooler outside the room then inside (over 80 degrees). The tv was so small it was hard to see and the remote did not work properly so we had to get up to change the channels or adjust the volume. When we started to go to sleep some kind of bug crawled on my head. At that point my wife and I got up and left (it was only 8 pm). This was the worst hotel experience of our lives. They also charged for wi-fi.
• Sherrie (2/5): Horrific doesn't even begin to describe our stay! - If I could give this hotel a negative number I would! The room smelled of cat urine/mold, the carpet was damp due to condensation from the a/c unit, they issued an addition key to our room to another guest, deactivating our keys when made aware of their error and then their were the hookers being arrested at 5am three doors down. The manager would not refund our money and totally denied all issues even though an employee had me write a report. Manager taking full advantage of hurricane families escaping from harm. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone!
