I didn't like getting woken up before 6:00 a.m. to the people that seem to be living there beside me arguing after keeping me up past 11:30 p.m. the night prior. I had to sign the paper talking about noise ordinance but they didn't enforce it. When I called and complained nothing was done. Pathetic there and a horrible drug area! Literally got pulled over just leaving there to go grab dinner. They thought we were getting drugs there... just don't waste your time and money there
• Melanie (5/5): North Charleston Lodge - The cost and the area was close to everything I would need. The staff was extremely pleasant. A lot of customers started yelling/arguing after hours even though the front office has a sign that says " no loud noise from 10pm to 7 am.

Management refused to change room and to return money. They said that if I want my money back- go to talk with Booking.com.

No chair or table in room, no TV as advertised, door latch was broken, property was filthy snd people who apparently live in many of the rooms were awake until 4 am playing music, talking and yelling. The place should be closed.

• Donald (10/5): - I love the modern room and fantastic. The area was a little bit dangerous but the security people there did an excellent job protecting my vehicle and I felt very safe.
• Emma (2/5): - If I could give 0 stars I would. When I got there they claimed they didn’t have any rooms but I booked online. After 20mins they found me a room but it needed to “cleaned” we waited. The room was NOT cleaned and smelled of cigarettes. The shower was disgusting, the panels behind the tv were broken and coming off the wall, and the outlets didn’t work by the lights, garbage all over the property and the trash cans were overflowing. Between 2-4am a crackhead knocked on my door 5 different times scaring my children until I finally opened the door and told them to go away. When we came down to check out and get out of there at 7am there was tinfoil with drug residue by my car. If you’re not a crackhead or a prostitute don’t book here. This place needs to be shut down.

I got into my room and found three bags of someone's laundry. I went to the front desk and reported this. They seemed non-plussed, and gave me a new room. How this property has not been padlocked by the local authorities a long time ago is a mystery. The smoke alarms are deactivated, the rooms unclean, etc. I had to laugh at the sign in the office that said "abslutely no visitors allowed" - every hooker and dealer in town was there just hanging out. And that was during the DAY. I can just imagine the party that gets going after dark. It was a non-refundable reservation, but I didn't care. Take my money, I'm out of here. I sat on the bed, got out my phone and made a new reservation at the Red Roof Inn just up the road. As I headed out of my room, one of the dozens of miscreants who had been loitering (near one of the "no loitering" signs, of course) asked me "Hey, are you leaving?" Why do you wanna know that, pal?

• Darren (2/5): - Had to keep getting my key cards reset so I could get back into my room. Vending machines worked half-assed. Seemed like a lot of drug activity and there was even a shooting. Maid only came every other day to ask if I needed something. Not enough towels and no hand towels.
• Mark (2/5): - Easily the worst place I’ve ever stayed in my entire life. The room on the first floor WREAKED of cigarette smoke. Completely coated and damp and humid inside. There was no trash can. The bathroom was stained and highly damaged looking. The woman who checked me in behind the glass in the scary room with vagrants outside had snot all over her face. I paid $75 to stay here and there multiple homeless on the property walking around and sitting outside the units clearly on drugs. This hotel has had deaths in it recently from drug overdose. I also saw what appeared to be prostitution operating from a unit. VERY SCARY. There was also screaming in Spanish in the unit next to mine and someone knocked on my door and I couldn’t see who it was because the glass peephole was broken. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Las fotos muestran una realidad diferente . El olor a cigarrillo en las habitaciones muy mal. Muy sucio y mal olor a cigarro en las habitaciones . Había desechos de cigarro en el lavamanos , las papeleras sin lavar . Booking a pesar de ello no quiere desembolsarme el dinero porque con esas condiciones no fui capaz de dormir allí.
• Verified traveler (2/5): Horrible place!! - This hotel is definitely a you get what you pay for type of place. We stayed here a week because we were desperate and I will never stay again. First room that put us in was terrible. Unknown substances in curtains, bed sheets, walls. Shower head was duck taped together, doors and walls had holes in them, hair that was not ours in shower and sink. Tv was shattered and the ac did not blow. We changed rooms and it was not much better but tv and ac worked. We saw drug deals, prostitution, heard gun shots and dealt with dozens of homeless living in grass behind building and hanging out at hotel.

The place was filthy, staff was unprofessional, and all kinds of people hanging outside smoking weed. I ended up not even staying there and went across the street to the Hampton Inn. My second night that I stayed in this hotel, there were three gun shots, and about 25 people fighting and arguing in their parking lot. There was also school resource officers and police driving through looking for a number of children that should be in school and are not.
