They were willing to accomidate an early check in although we did not make it in early We thought the pool would be open from what was listed on the website but it was not. The website should be accurate. The bathroom needs some drywall and paint repair.

Not slot of diving out options, but that's not Aquarius's fault The room itself was a little dated, but had everything we needed for our purposes,

• Merrick (5/5): Budget motel that could use many upgrades - It was affordable and clean. The pool was good after a long day out seeing the sights. The whole place could use some updates. The parking lot is only 1/3 paved, the pool is chipped a few places and the hot tub jets do not make a lot of massaging bubbles, the bathroom (toilet and shower) is separate from the sink and vanity (which was kind of a weird set up), the AC is in another room and struggles to cool the whole place, and the bed is not very sturdy or firm and wobbles a lot while sleeping.

• Shan (4/5): - The area around this motel had virtually no basic services. By not even 9 p.m., there was nowhere left to buy food—every shop was already closed. The only pizza place the owner told us should still be open had also closed by the time we arrived, just minutes after checking in. The next morning, the only option for something to eat was a gas station; otherwise, we would have had to drive all the way to Torrey. Despite charging the highest rate of our entire trip, this motel offered almost no convenience. We couldn’t even meet the most basic need of having a meal.

We specifically chose this location because it had a swimming pool. Myself, my fiancé and our 3 kids stayed on one room. My sister and her boyfriend in another. It was very expensive to stay here despite the motel being very old and not offering much. We have family in the area we were visiting for the holiday. We decided to go to the pool and swim. We invited my mother and sister who live in town to join us at the pool. After a short time the owner came over demanding our room numbers and yelling at us that the pool was only for paying customers. We explained to her what our room numbers were and that we paid a lot to stay here. She yelled at us that we were not welcome to stay at the pool because “if everyone brought there family it would be too many people” but we were the only ones at the pool and as far as I could tell the only people at the property at all. The kids were all very upset but we just left. Will never stay here again. Owner was extremely rude.
• misty (2/5): - We booked two rooms at the Aquarius Motel and paid over $600 for a two-night stay during Apple Days to enjoy time with our family. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. We invited two of our cousins—who were not staying at the motel—to join us at the pool for a short visit. Instead of addressing the situation respectfully, a staff member came in and began aggressively yelling—specifically at our grandchildren, who are only five and three years old. We attempted to explain that we were paying guests with only two additional visitors, but she continued to shout and point at signs, completely ignoring any effort to have a reasonable conversation. Our grandchildren were in tears. This was an incredibly unprofessional and upsetting experience. We have stayed at other accommodations in the area and have always been treated with kindness and respect. We will never stay at the Aquarius again, and we strongly advise others to take their business elsewhere. They clearly do not value their guests or know how to treat people decently.
