- E. (1/5): Shit hole - I got treated as an animal there. Stuff refused to check in my friend with her personal ID, told her that Booking was on my name and refused to verify all the info my friend had and refused to step in and resolve this issue! So, I was forced to abandon my personal chores and drive to the motel 6 in order to check in my friend. There was black full woman who fell into argument with me that it is their policy to verify particularly my id in order to let my friend to check in, because the booking was on my name. I have never gotten into this issue with any hotel I stayed. The stuff supposedly to perform their job in respectful manner, should have been trained properly resolve that kind of situations without arguing with their guests. In addition to that, she tried to force me to ho outside and tell her my license plate number which I refused to do and told her that is her job to serve their clients. She was calling me “Honey!” and treated disrespectfully refusing to check me in without telling her my plate number. Also, there was another woman who with full mouth of junk food tried to talk to me like I am nothing to her and smiling. I would not recommend this motel 6 Lakeville, MN to anyone. I addition, I got their receipt with total amount of $141.06 but I have paid it online $152.20. I called them and got no resolution of it buy promises. Nothing has been done at all!!! Horrible place, horrible stuff! Stuff

- Robert (7/5): Good place to stay for a no frills weekend. - Definitely cleaner than Motel 6 in Burnsville, Mn. Room was definitely clean and felt good. Check in staff was a bit unfriendly. Almost like I was keeping him from something. Plumbing in room needs to be looked at. Many backups in sink/tub drains and toilet required “patience” to flush.

- Matt (4/5): It was an experience we won’t be having again. - The price was low and it was convenient to the event we were attending. I didn’t like that it didn’t feel clean. There was no carpet on the floor which normally isn’t an issue but the floor had this sticky, moist film. It was gross to walk on. The room had a terrible smell and the windows were open on arrival I’m guessing to air it out. Sleeping was an issue because we were terrified about bedbugs even though we searched and never saw any. Warm water for showers was brief if any at all.
- Cheryl (1/5): My stay was unbearable due to overpowering odors of smoke and dog urine throughout the facility, which forced me to leav - I did not like anything about the room except for the towel holder in the bathroom. I called Booking to cancel my reservation, as I was unable to stay there the first night and had to arrange alternative accommodations for the remainder of my trip. The Booking representative reassured me that they would contact the hotel to resolve the issue and that I would only be responsible for the first night and possibly a cancellation fee. I have yet to receive any information regarding a resolution. I did not like much about the property and spent no more than 30 minutes there. The entire facility smelled strongly of smoke, which was especially concerning to me for health reasons. Although the room was designated non-smoking, the smell permeated the hallways, lobby, and the room itself. In addition, there was a strong odor of dog urine that could be detected from the room, as it was located near an exit that appeared to be used as a relief area for pets.

Only wish I had stayed there all 4 nights instead of 3 nights spent at Burnsville, Mn. Motel 6. Handicapped room was much better in Lakeville!

- Reannon (2/5): - I want to start this by saying that Susan, the property manager, is a very nice and easy to work with. Unfortunately, the area here does not feel safe at all. There was a very loud domestic dispute in the parking lot, lots of partying, and the hallway absolutely reeks of marijuana. The room condition was less than stellar, and the beds are a step above camping. Definitely not family friendly, and no amminities save a bar of soap provided.

The worse part was the BLACK MOLD all over the walls and ceilings. Probably due to the air conditioner that had been running and the condensation. Do not stay here if you care for your health. This place needs to be shut down.

They were not concerned in any way that my booking showed those amenities in my room and didn't even try to make it right. And after we complained they told us we couldn't have our three service dogs, yet we were there a whole month without any issues. We had to cancel our next month there and find a new hotel on August 31, they told us when we had 3 days left and it was a holiday so everyone was full.

I was placed next door to a visitor with a large dog who started barking as soon as i unlocked the door and continue for a few minutes. I went back to the desk and asked for another room. The attendant was not happy about moving me and kept reminding me the hotel was pet friendly. I understand pet friend. But the sign says well behaved pets. Not a profusely narking dog.

- Stacy (8/5): - Our stay at the Motel 6 was only needed for a place to sleep nothing more. This location says non smoking, but could smell smoke in the hallways and ashtrays were available inside our room. Over all you get what you pay for and if just passing through not a bad place to stay.
- James (2/5): Close & renovate it. - The bed was not queen size, but a double. It was so soft & old that my back could not stand it. We checked out early and found a better place to stay. That motel should be closed and totally renovated. I do not recommend motel 6. The employees were all pleasant but the condition of the place could not overcome their niceness.

Didn’t realize all rooms didn’t come with a refrigerator and microwave so we went a week without having neither. We didn’t get offered a full service cleaning until after the 6th day of being there which we were checking out the next day. Both ice machines were broken for three days straight so we had to go to the store next door for ice. Staff was very friendly and nice though.

In the rooms, it was dirty filthy walls, the Moisture was awful, felt extremely damp all the time. the Air Conditioner was so load, it was like sleeping next to a semi truck idling Tub was dirty, toilet was filthy with remanence of urine. walls had stuff that was sticky and miscolored, there were several bugs in the room, in which we got rid of quite quickly, we didn't sleep in the bed at all we purchased disinfectants to clean the area of which we used, and before and after each shower. Toilet we used alcohol wipes to clean it with gloves, and we wiped down everything in the room. No coffee pot for us to make a cup of coffee, the towels were stained wash clothes were not very well we wiped the knobs on the door as well This hotel 6 needs to be inspected by the Lakeville association for Travelers, I hope one of them reads this, I also noticed in the hallways next to the doors and stairs, Mice traps, were in plain view or anyone in this vicinity My gosh you could get people sick with deceases from them, use the proper vendors, clean this place up, or shut it down until it passes a extreme inspections.

This did not make up for the smell of dog pee. I went to the store and dot air fresheners to mask that smell. Also the bugs were an issue as well. I hope that none of the bugs made it into my luggage. I will not be staying at a Motel 6 again.

For some odd reason, the cleaning ladies will randomly knock super loud in the morning and attempt to open your door, the deadlock saved them coming into my room at least 6 times in one stay.

- Jake (8/5): - This location has a high traffic rate due to the truck stop, the proximity to 35w and also the mere fact you'll easily spend twice as much anywhere in the area. The rates reflect what you'll have in amenities standard in each room but as far as Motel 6's go and this one's location at a truck stop off a major interstate and it past reputation it's easily worth the rates and has cleaned up from its past problems that many may recall locally or that traveled through years back. Housekeeping does a super job with what they have to work with and after a couple weeks in and out of various rooms on this current visit to the area I've not found any mess left or appearance of rushed turnover cleaning which brings some added peace of mind. They do have a strict protocol at check in so be prepared to not get much of any leeway for anything such as expired or absent i.d. for any adult guests and also that rooms do not have standard microwaves, fridges, or any seating provided beyond the beds in the room. Again, your getting only the basics and not much more than that for what your paying. Realistic rating knowing what it is, 9 out of 10. Rating if you are expecting much comfort and plan to remain in your room for any length of time and not be out enjoying activities or otherwise, I'd say don't be hoping for much more than 6 out of 10 if that's the case. A plus worth noting on this 100 degree day is that the air conditioner units definately are working wonderfully and keeping cool.

- Tyler (4/5): - Each time I come I get a worse room. Last room had roaches in it, this room reeks of cigarettes and no fridge. It’s 2025 people, every room should have a fridge. Glad this will be my last stay here atleast.
- James (2/5): - The building needs serious renovation. The entire thing smelled like weed and just looked terrible once you got inside. When I got into my room I realized I wasn't alone and a giant roach had already been checked in and was a tenant of the room. RUN AWAY. Spend the extra money. Or, if you like roaches and probably bed bugs this is the place for you!
- Tanya (2/5): - Smelled of cigarette smoke everywhere Ice machine broken Frig barely worked Microwave locked food inside - had to unplug to unlock Bed mattress shot All over maintenance of place is terrible
- Kelly (2/5): Don't stay here - Like the location. Convenient Dirty.
- Bill (2/5): Very poor - Room was clean. I paid for the room through booking.com, but they forgot to get the payment to the motel. I spent nearly an hour on the phone with booking.com to get the problem rectified. Finally the problem was fixed and I got my room that I had paid for a week before. Then when I went to take a shower in the morning there was no hot water. So between booking.com messing up my reservation and not having hot water it wasn't a good experience.
