Claude (9/5): Good stay and totally met our needs. - This is an older traditional hotel. Good location for our visit to National Parks. It was very clean and comfortable. Nothing ‘fancy’ but we were very satisfied. Its location next to a cafe, laundromat and general store was great for our needs. We used all three and were very pleased. Really nothing.

Équipements ok. - Le complexe est agréable, avec le bâtiment principal style lodge, le General Store où on peut faire quelques achats d'épicerie. Il y a aussi un foodtruck qui fait d'excellents burgers. - Check-in plus qu'expéditif et peu agréable ! Pourtant nous n'étions pas à l'horaire limite. - Pas de petit-déjeuner compris, uniquement café offert au General Store (sauf à prendre à leur Bakery et donc à payer). - La laverie ouvre à 7h et ferme à 21h : horaires peu adaptés aux voyageurs. - Chambre pas faite entre les deux nuits : nous avons du redemander des mouchoirs et vider notre poubelle nous-mêmes. - Pour l'ensemble de ces points, le tarif n'est pas adapté à la prestation proposée.

The cafe in front of Austin’s is great for a hearty breakfast or lunch. The connected store has fresh fruit, locally made breads, and anything else that might be needed during a stay.

Roland (8/5): A pleasant and convenient place - Austin's Chuckwagon Motel is a conveniently located, pleasant, no-frills motel. I enjoyed my stay. The room was spacious and clean; all people who I talked to at the reception were friendly and helpful. The Deli that is attached to the motel is also very nice (one can have breakfast there, but I didn't try it). I have no major complaints. What bothered me a little bit in the room (at night) were (i) an electric hum, probably coming from the fridge (I used earplugs); (ii) a rather intense green and red light next to a socket opposite of the bed, which I covered quite ingeniously with a book put on top of the trash can. So, no big deal.

The Lodge is a revamped old-school motel, so the room and bath were a little small but still quite comfortable and perfect for our needs. Everything was new, including the carpet and modern furniture. Check-in was fast and easy. Friendly staff. Our room and the grounds were impeccably clean and neat. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Bonus perk was the delicious breakfast available at the Deli on the grounds. Great home fries. Sweet fruit garnish: an orange slice, a sliced strawberry, and a blackberry.

There was a foodtruck in the parking lot that served great food, and a little store that was open early and stayed open until later evening. The front desk folks were kind and thoughtful and the beds were good. Loved the pool and hot tub!
