- Yaara (8/5): All in all a pleasant experience - The location and view can't be beat. The beach is right across the road and the pier where all the Puffin tours leave from is very close as well. The view from the dining room is amazing and the breakfast itself was very good. Great shower with good water pressure and comfortable beds. The family room was small and stuffy and got very hot during the day. We couldn't really spend any time in the room except for showers and sleep, but the weather was beautiful and we were happy to be outside. We also felt the hotel prioritises outside guests, and when checking in we discovered we can only have breakfast at 7:30 as everything else was fully booked. Parking was also a struggle with restaurant guests taking up a lot of the small parking lot.

- Keith (10/5): A wonderful experience in a well laid out and impressivelyclean hotel that was run by amazing staff - The staff were amazing, both friendly and extremely efficient and helpful. We loved the location and the breakfast choices with the added bonus of an excellent view of the coast. Our room was immaculate and had great facilities. The shower room was also very clean and we really enjoyed using the shower gel, shampoo and skin conditioner supplied. I honestly can not think of anything we didn’t like! It would have been a bonus to have had a sea view room, but that didn’t spoil our experience in anyway at all. It appears that the hotel has a great team that prioritises their customers, which is very refreshing. We were very sad to leave. If I’m being really picky then the only thing to report is a temperamental hot tap in the bathroom of room seven, however this is a very small detail and did not ruin our experience in anyway what so ever.

- Duncan (9/5): Very nice, well equipped hotel in a great position giving seaviews from the front rooms. - The location is excellent, just a very short walk out of the village centre and opposite a large grassy area set back nicely from the road. Decor and facilities were of a high standard with the seaside theme maintained throughout without being overdone. It was important to be able to store bicycles securely, although the shed was pretty full of other stuff. The only tiny hitch we had was using the bar area for our dinner and nobody told us that in there you order food and drink at the bar itself. Otherwise our stay was excellent.

As we were staying for 4 nights, I asked if it would be possible to have an alternative. The waitress i spoke to was very rude . I was told in no uncertain terms that it wouldn't be possible. We do a lot of travelling all over the world, and I can honestly say I have never had a problem before..

The steak night deal was excellent and good value. Comfortable room. We upgraded to a patio room. Very good breakfast choices. The room was nice but there was no ventilation in the patio room once the doors were shut at night and I could leave it ajar as it just swung fully open. It was by a shared garden area completely overlooked by other rooms. Even with the heating turned off we were far too hot.

- Karen (8/5): We really enjoyed our one night stay and slept well. - The hotel was located perfectly for our Northumberland Coastal Walk. We could use the swimming pool and sauna etc all for free, it was lovely to go for a swim before dinner. Lovely menu and I had a delicious burger and fries, cooked perfectly. Kippers were on the menu for breakfast, but were unavailable. A strange rattle noise from the bathroom.

- arthur (1/5): Disgraceful - We did not stay because it was absolutely daylight robbery for the quality of this hotel , the staff were extremely rude we asked for a refund and they just got really rude , and we had to ring back on the Monday, to someone who was extremely unhelpful and unprofessional on the phone

- Lynne (7/5): Enjoyable for the most part - Great spot, lovely hotel I have stayed here before and would again but the staff this time seemed a bit dishevelled. Not set up for breakfast, so we were looking for cutlery, my cooked breakfast came and I wasn’t finished my yoghurt, there was no cups. Not smart. A bit disappointing but other than that it was fine.

- Anne (9/5): Really comfortable - Really comfortable and well equipped. Great look location for town and for walking into Bamburgh. I accidentally booked an accessible family room, which was great in size and comfortable but the bathroom was a wet room, which flooded easy from the shower and stayed that way as no drain off. The sink had no hot water.

- Taelor (10/5): Relaxing! - Clean and welcoming! Voy was lovely and left a lovely happy birthday card for my partner. The food was lovely and the overall view was stunning. Very clean beach, lovely quiet time of year. Can’t wait to return!

It was a shame that the bar closed quite early @10.30 but that could be because we were slightly out of season? Just a little bit more attention to detail in the rooms I don’t think the windows or the window frames inside and outside had been cleaned in sometime again that could be due to the changeover of weather from winter to spring, but the housekeeping staff were super helpful!
