We are pleased to see the hotel, accommodations, service and standards continue to be the highest. My wife enjoyed the spa and poolside accommodations, while I got my rewarding winter bonefish experience x3. I was also surprised to find it was the same guide and boat from 2014 saying something positive for employee loyalty.

- Fawcett (10/5): Beautiful setting and exceptional service. - Victoria House is little piece of paradise. The location is quiet, the beach area is beautiful. The views from the pools, from the restaurant and the rooms are lovely. The ENTIRE staff are outstanding from the moment of arrival to departure they have a way of personalizing service so that you feel welcome and cared for. I don’t know how they do it, but they remember each guests name and remember details, like what table I preferred and where I had stayed at prior to my arrival at Victoria House, and always engaging in a very positive manner, giving the impression that each guest matters. I have a lot of allergies, I am celiac and a vegetarian, a very difficult diet to accommodate, and they did a fantastic job . The chef and the dining room staff went out of their way to ensure I had a great dining experience. Due to my allergies, I was not able to order any of the desserts on the menu. What did the chef do? He surprised me each night with a customized and delicious dessert. The Dive Shop on site is also great and I was able to enjoy a snorkeling tour to Mexico Rocks. Even the garden staff value customer service, as when they heard I had never had a fresh coconut, they promptly presented me with one at breakfast. Thank you Victoria House for providing exceptional service and ensuring that each guest has a very positive stay.

The rooms are kept very clean, and I loved how many activities are available directly through the resort. We had a blast with the scuba diving and snorkeling combo. The food was excellent. Our massages in the palapa, were hands down the best part! Our room had no balcony or outdoor seating. Our room had one small window for light and only one chair in the room. If no outdoor seating is provided, they should at least provide to chairs for in room seating.

Gym little small and 2 out off 4 cardio machines were broken. Outside the hotel not really nice....Spectacular Chef !!! The food was just amazing 5 Stars for the food. They surely deserve a MIchelin Star !!!

- mapaper71 (10/5): Wonderful visit - This was our 3rd time visiting this classical Caribbean resort. Seeing familiar staff each year is fun. We had breakfast each day in their beach bar. Caesar and Giselle were fun and efficient. The bar is just fun especially in the afternoons. Ruben makes an excellent margarita. We got a pitcher delivered to our house. Some had a great fishing trip then the kitchen prepared the fish!!! Talk about fresh. We booked again for the same time next year.

- 676katrink (8/5): Warm Smiles, Turquoise Views & a True Belizean Vibe - With a Few Trade-Offs - We stayed at Victoria Inn Resort in Belize and overall had a very enjoyable, relaxed Caribbean experience. We brought our two adult sons and girlfriends along for Christmas. From the moment we landed, the airport and hotel transfers were seamless, which immediately set a positive tone. The hotel staff truly stand out, gracious, friendly, and consistently attentive without being overbearing. You feel genuinely welcomed. The property is clean and well-maintained, including a lovely pool area with ocean views that’s perfect for lounging. The dock at the hotel is a big plus - very convenient for snorkeling, diving, and other water activities, and it also provides a beautiful place to sit and enjoy the view. A few things to note: No coffee in the room, which was a small but noticeable miss. This is not a swimmable beach. The water near the hotel is quite murky with a lot of seaweed, and there’s no true sandy beach entry area to the ocean; it’s a dock. There’s also only a short stretch where you can walk along the shoreline, if you’re an avid runner or walker. Food at the hotel is expensive and the menu is more American than local, and almost everything feels like an add-on, so definitely keep an eye on the final bill. The cocktails are amazing though, especially the pina colada, so well worth a try. San Pedro is close by and offers great dining options - we especially enjoyed Elvi’s Kitchen and Caramba’s. Be prepared for golf carts everywhere, which adds to the charm but also contributes to chaotic, poorly maintained streets and infrastructure. The cart ride to Secret Beach is not for the faint-hearted as it is VERY bumpy, so proceed with caution. The real highlights of Belize are the snorkeling and diving, the laid-back Caribbean vibe, and the warm, friendly welcome from the locals. The weather was balmy with intermittent storms, and the water was incredibly warm, which made time on the water especially enjoyable. Lots of mosquitos after the rains so bring your spray! If you’re comparing this to Hawaii, Belize is less high-end and far less commercial, more economical overall, but the beaches don’t compare. What Belize offers instead is authenticity, adventure, and an easygoing charm. Bottom line: Victoria Inn is a good choice if you value friendly service, easy access to water activities, and a relaxed island feel - just go in knowing it’s more about the experience and vibe than luxury beaches

The grounds are impeccable, the lighting and outdoor spaces thoughtfully designed, and the infinity pool overlooking the sea is quietly beautiful and grounding. What truly sets Victoria House apart is the staff’s intuitive care. Alexander offered a warm welcome on arrival and a heartfelt farewell at departure. Elsie at reception made me feel instantly at home, while Gladys ensured a seamless checkout and coordinated my air transfer with ease. Throughout my stay, Duane and Joel were consistently kind and approachable, and Ryan, Travis, Tony, Ashley, Edgar, and Gini added an easy warmth and attentiveness that never felt intrusive. The spa was a highlight—time with Ms. Roxanne was deeply healing, not just relaxing, and I’m grateful I scheduled multiple treatments with her. Nothing significant. Travelers seeking a party-forward or high-energy resort experience may prefer to stay closer to central San Pedro, as Victoria House is intentionally serene and quiet.

This is really a beautiful resort, 5 stars experience :) We stayed at a bungalow, it was comfortable and clean . Beautiful pools , surrounded by tropical landscaping. The restaurants were excellent , great service and food. Not too far from the town, easy access to the airport and boat rides around the islands ,made our vacation relaxing . - georgekJ5483QE (10/5): Another unforgettable visit with Victoria House! - Just back from a week of scuba and fly fishing on Ambergris Caye, Belize at Victoria House. Wonderful facility. Stayed there first time in 1986 when it was very new. Many changes with lots of new buildings and services, but still small enough for everyone to learn your name, your favorite table, your favorite foods, your favorite beverages etc! The chef is incredible with amazing, creative recipes. Be sure to try the Leche de Tigre ceviche! The service staff was very special across the board. Too many to mention all of them but in the dining area Gina, Duane, Teri and Mishel were unforgettable. Thank you to them and everyone at the resort for a special week! The housekeeping staff learned it was my son's birthday and built a Happy Birthday "shrine" in our room when we returned from scuba diving that day. Very meaningful for us and much appreciated!

We paid for the four-day dive package, which included meals, and it was perfect for us. Victoria House sorted our daily dives with an operator on the island (TNT Pro Divers- awesome) and the experience was seamless. The food was out of this world, especially dessert! And last, but definitely not least, the service was impeccable. Everyone went above and beyond and made us feel totally comfortable and relaxed. Would 100% recommend to anyone visiting San Pedro / Ambergris Caye and looking for a relaxing and indulgent experience!
- 286anikaw (10/5): A magical oasis in San Pedro! - Victoria House and Spa Resort will always hold a special place in my heart. My fiancé proposed with the help of the wonderful staff at the Resort. It was truly a special moment and the staff went above and beyond to help with the set up and then making sure the rest of our trip was incredible. The Resort is beyond gorgeous, the food is amazing and the service is some of the best I’ve ever experienced. The staff are incredibly friendly, personal and professional. You can spend your entire day just relaxing at the beautiful pools or on the property beach, and I loved that we had access to bicycles to bike into town or golf carts if you prefer. We will definitely be returning to Victoria House and Spa!

The food was delicious and the customer service was fantastic! Our diving experience with TNT Dive Pros was exceptional. The entire resort is beautiful, the pools are immaculate and refreshing. The excursions are great. I was extremely happy they will take care of all the details for you if you want to do any extras, take trips, etc. The resort tour staff is knowledgeable and fun.

They decorated my room twice for my birthday and even arranged a beautiful birthday setup on the water. The food was absolutely delicious, and their hospitality made the entire experience unforgettable. My only complaint was the weather, but of course that’s out of anyone’s control. Overall, I’d rate my stay a solid 10/10!

There is a Sargasm problem along the coast which makes for bad smalls & dirty water so you would need to go to the west side of the island swimming

- Arturo (8/5): - It is a great hotel, with excellent facilities and the staff is VERY nice. The food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) was very good, very tasty and lots of options, but very expensive. There are no nearby restaurants within an easy walk, which limits outside dining options. The other issue is the sargassum decomposing on the coast line, which generates a lot of H2S (smells like rotten eggs). This is not the hotel's fault, but it is certainly something that affects outdoor activities and even just hanging out by the beach.

- Gustavo (10/5): - Victoria House Resort & Spa This place is a pleasant surprise for those looking for a quiet, comfortable, scenic boutique resort to stay at and enjoy great food, service and atmosphere of San Pedro. It is tucked off the mainstream of San Pedro, Belize, with its amazing quality of service from the entire staff where everybody speaks English better than some Americans. The majority of the staff is also fluent in Spanish and well trained in hospitality, professionalism and customer care. The front desk can arrange anything you want and if they can’t, they know somebody that can. They go beyond to assure your stay is amazing…I can keep saying many more things about this place but trust me when I say that these folks know what good food, excellent service and customer service is..

I was able to work with Jeremiah to plan a surprise dinner by the water with a birthday cake, flowers, champagne, and decorations that she loved, and we were blown away by Victoria House and sad to be leaving today. Jeremiah, Ashley, Ruben and Travis were all exceptional members of the hotel’s staff and we loved talking to and learning about their lives each day. Before arriving we scheduled snorkeling with another company and had a lot of trouble figuring out transport - the hotel arranged a next morning trip that was cheaper and visited the same locations as the previous company, but dropped us off to and from the hotel which was a relief and so convenient. The pools and facilities here are incredible but the people really solidified this as 5 stars for me, highly highly recommend.
- PeaceProtector (10/5): Treat yourself! - My best friend and I had a girls trip for her milestone birthday. I was on the fence between Victoria House and another resort. I'm soooo glad I chose Victoria House! It was the perfect experience!! The staff was so incredibly friendly. Every meal we had was great. We did a spa day with massages and facials. I really just can't recommend a better choice. I've been to Belize a few times now. I've stayed in 3 different resorts, in 2 different gated communities, 4 different AirBnBs. Hands down this is the best choice. Also, I didn't mention to the staff prior to arriving that it was my best friend's birthday. It was just the two of us. We didn't have a whole party traveling with us, so I didn't really think it important to share. We arrived prior to check in and asked to store our luggage while we roamed the town. I shared that it was my best friend's birthday. When we checked into the room, they decorated it with a Happy Birthday Banner and balloons!! It was such a surprise and truly kind gesture!! This is truly a special place with special people.

Your Staff at VH is always Excellent in service and updates, drinks and food orders. The Home office ( Donald Sater) is Excellent as always in setting up my trip and answering questions and thinking about next years. Luis always has setup my family Fun trips daily. - chrishD143JH (10/5): Love, love, LOVE! - This review is for Palmilla Restaurant, Admiral Nelson’s and La Luna Spa. We did not stay at the resort so I cannot speak to that but based on everything else about Victoria House, I'm sure it is amazing. Palmilla Restaurant - Quite possibly the best restaurant on the island for a romantic dinner. My wife wanted pasta, which she said rivaled some of the pasta we had in Italy last summer. I wanted the fish, had the catch of the day which was snapper, and OMG.... sooooooooo good. Finished off with the molten cake which we've had every time we've been on the island. Admiral Nelson's bar - Best drinks on the island! Amy is our favorite bartender - make sure to get a dirty banana with dark rum and a Pina colada, you won't fine better ones. Also the pizza was super tasty to eat at the bar! Just make sure to bring some bug spray for the misquitos at night in the summer. La Luna Spa - Did a 90 minute couples treatment.... soooooo relaxing. Was the perfect way to start off our trip. Although we didn't do it on this trip, we've reserved the pier gazebo on our last trip and it was quite magical. LOVE Victoria House.

- jillostrom (10/5): A great mix of fun activities and relaxation - We stayed at Victoria House for 5 days after a house building mission trip on the mainland of Belize. All of the staff at Victoria House were very friendly and accomodating. We stayed in a villa and it was very well kept and super comfortable. We had planned to scuba dive each day but the weather did not cooperate as there was too much wind and surge outside the reef. So we pivoted and did a few days of snorkeling within the marine park and saw a ton of sea life (turtles, sharks, rays, etc.) and had wonderful guides leading us. We enjoyed all of our activities and our time relaxing by the pool. We would definitely recommend Victoria House and would stay there again in the future!

- jamiedky (10/5): Amazing time at Victoria House - My husband and I spent 3 nights at Victoria House in June 2025. We simply cannot say enough wonderful things about the resort. We stayed in a one bedroom suite that was the bottom floor of a villa. The food was absolutely amazing! The resort is impeccably clean and the grounds are gorgeous. We had an awesome time snorkeling (we did the two stop snorkeling trip, I will say that one needs to be a fairly strong swimmer and have previously snorkeled to be able to swim against the current). We drove around San Pedro town on our golf cart, which was a ton of fun. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff -- the kindness and hospitality of everyone was the best I have experienced in all of our international travels. They were rapidly responsive to any questions we had via WhatsApp, and any needs or wants we desired were attended to immediately. We would not hesitate to go back again tomorrow if we could!

- L5532NYashleyb (10/5): 10 out of 10 Expereince - Victoria House, San Pedro, and Belize were a 10 out of 10! This was the first time we had stayed at a smaller, non-all-inclusive resort and it was a great experience! I loved how we didn't have to wake up early to save chairs, there was always space on the beach, by the pool, at dinner and the bar! The staff was amazing, especially our bar tender Amy - the food was exceptional. The island was safe and fun to be able to go into town on a golf cart for shopping, dinner, or excursions. The excursions were pricey, but totally worth it - we did the shorter day trip (715 am - 3 pm) to the Mayan ruins which included a quick flight, a lagoon boat ride, and plenty of time at the ruins with a local lunch to end the day. The only negative is the lack of a full beach (there is very little sand) and an ocean wall and the water was full of sea grass - but evidently it isn't like that year round (the sea grass that is) - you could get in the ocean from these long boat docks and then sections were buoyed off. We did however see a lot of ocean life from the dock making that part neat! We also enjoyed a constant breeze off the water - making it the PERFECT weather.
- gtc708 (10/5): Better and Better - We have been to Victoria House many times over a number of decades. The experience at Victoria House and Ambergris Cay just gets better with each visit. As is our usual practice, we contact Luis Vasquez at the dive shop, a few weeks prior to our visit, to arrange our activities and meals while at the resort. Luis is a real pro and has never failed to provide a week that is exactly as we hoped. Our desired activities and meal arrangements are always spot on, and Luis' suggestions are always on point. He is a valuable resource, and I encourage his use. We always find Victoria House lodgings and its other facilities to be perfectly maintained and ready for use. Service is impeccable, and housekeeping is unobtrusive. We come to Ambergris Cay for the land and water activities. During this trip, we enjoyed snorkeling and diving with the Bradley brothers. We always try to get them, and they are simply the best at what they do. They can get anyone, regardless of skill or fear level, comfortable with snorkeling or diving. This trip, we had a nervous swimmer and her five year old daughter with us. Both of them were made comfortable enough that they enjoyed the water and sights at Hol Chan and Mexico Rocks. The mother even got comfortable doing a resort dive. We also snorkeled Coral Gardens. The snorkeling at these locations is some of the best that I have experienced in many trips around the Caribbean. The variety and size of the marine creatures you will see is exceptional. Since becoming protected areas, Hol Chan and Mexico Rocks are better with each visit. We also did a Cay Caulker cruise with Captain Horace on the Felicity catamaran. He runs a good trip. Be sure to hand- feed the tarpon on Cay Caulker. We also took the Tropic Air trip to the Lamanai ruins. This is a very efficient way to see the ruins, with a short flight to Orange Walk and an hour boat ride to the ruins, during which you will see a variety of wildlife (maybe even a crocodile). We have used Colin as our private guide for many trips there. He is very knowledgeable about the ruins themselves and the wildlife along the river. At the ruins look for the howler monkeys. You will be back at Victoria House by 3:00PM We always eat well during the week. This time we began at Victoria House's Palmilla restaurant for dinner. It ended up being my best seafood dinner of the trip. Perfectly cooked fish! We also would recommend that you try El Fogon, Caliente, and, of course Elvi's. You won't be disappointed. During our downtime during the day, we were ably served drinks and food at our "house" by genial servers, most notably Duane. We tried to book the same week in 2026, but our preferred lodging was already taken. We were able to book two weeks later, however. This place is popular and fills up quickly. Don't delay.
- Emily (10/5): Wow - an exceptional stay at Victoria House. - My partner and I had an incredible experience at Victoria House for my partners birthday. We received a room upgrade and perfect birthday room decoration on arrival. The spa is great, and we really enjoyed the excursions of the sunset cruise and the two stop snorkelling tour, which was a proper tour rather than being left alone in the water! We also had an incredible private dinner set up on the palapa over the water. The best part of our stay though, was how attentive and kind the staff are. They seemed to really care about everyone in the resort. What an amazing place. Nothing

The seaweed in the water was not enjoyable at all. The room was freezing as they have to keep the AC at a certain temp to prevent the floors from sweating. Overall, a nice resort, just too boring for us. Recommend for people that want a quiet trip, not for travelers wanting a fun, social environment.

There are other guests, but this is hotel always felt private. This feature made this trip very relaxing. The hotel food is lovely! The rooms are beautiful and spacious. But the main feature is the hotel staff. Every single staff member was nice and friendly, genuinely. They made this trip very memorable for us. Shout outs to Duane, Vanessa, Tony, Ashley and Jose. - Cretetastic (10/5): Fantastic stay in 2 bed luxury villa - 2 bed luxury villa for 4 nights - faultless. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, breakfast lunch and dinner all very good. Service was impeccable with staff really going the extra mile to ensure every need was catered to. Concierge on WhatsApp really helpful with restaurants and taxis. Everyone was friendly and professional. Attention to detail and cleanliness around the resort was excellent. We hired a beach buggy a couple of days and also took the complementary bikes out which was fun. The pools were both really nice and although the hotel was quite full it didn’t ever feel crowded. Good location about 10 mins south of town in a buggy.
