• Sightseer274778 (8/5): Overall a brilliant hotel and holiday. - Visited the start of Easter, the start of the season. Hotel has just gone through a refurb and still had some snags that needed to be resolved, our room electrics kept tripping, Aircon and room telephone didn't work, with some cables still hanging from the wall in the bathroom. We had a family room, practical but layout very odd especially having teenagers - very little privacy. Rooms were very cleaned and we're cleaned everyday with fresh towels provided, however for a 4* hotel would have expected tea, coffee with a kettle to be provided. Was provided when requested. Rooms were well insulated and couldn't hear our neighbours, however could hear activities and noise from the corridor, this wasn't a hotel issue just inconsiderate guests. Location was good with hotel being positioned on the beach front and only a 20mins taxi drive to old town Rhodes. The atmosphere was amazing a brilliant vibe the staff were really friendly and welcoming and special thanks to the amination team, who were absolutely brilliant with always being on hand not just to get us to join in with the days activities but on hand if you or the family needed anything. The evening entertainment was brilliant and was a good mix for all ages, a personal favourite was the violinist and vocalist on a Thursday evening. With a few tweaks of the snags this will be a brilliant hotel that would meet everyone's needs.
• aliciamarydavies (10/5): Perfect Rhodes getaway with beautiful sunsets - We had a fantastic stay at the Avra Beach Hotel and were so impressed with everything it had to offer. The food was outstanding for the entire duration of our stay, with a great selection and consistently high standards. It really made a difference to the overall experience. One of the highlights was the hotel-run bus trip to Lindos, which was absolutely incredible and definitely worth doing — a great way to explore such a beautiful part of the island. The sunsets from the hotel were simply amazing and something we looked forward to every evening — a perfect way to end the day. All in all, a wonderful holiday and a hotel we would happily return to.
• 1234566778 (10/5): 10/10 - We are currently staying at Avra Beach Resort in Rhodes and honestly, it has been a fantastic experience so far! The Hamam spa massage was absolutely amazing – one of the highlights of our stay. Every evening there’s a different themed night which keeps things fun and varied, and there are loads of activities to keep the whole family entertained. We’re here celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary, and the hotel has made it extra special. Our family room overlooking the sea is beautiful – waking up to that view each morning is just perfect. A huge shout-out to the cleaners who do an incredible job every day – the rooms are spotless. The restaurant staff are always on hand, so attentive and hardworking. There’s one elderly gentleman (I believe his name starts with Camillo) who truly stands out – such a dedicated worker and always with a smile. The restaurant manager clearly takes pride in making sure everything runs smoothly, and it shows. Also, a big thank you to the two staff members who checked us in late at night (room 511) and the lovely morning ladies – all so welcoming and helpful. Big shout-out to the entire team – you’ve made our anniversary trip really special. Highly recommend!

Because if you are an owner of a business you care the way no worker usually does. From reception to housekeeping, bar staff and restaurant everyone has been friendly, smiling, welcoming, warm, happy and kind. Massive thank you for making me feel good and welcome ❤️ PS: to the manager of the hotel Appreciate your people, give them bonus :-) they are amazing and i would love to have people like that working for me one day ❤️ Also, tasty food with great choice i loved the greek light cheese ! • sharonmM3382WT (10/5): Brilliant end of season break - My husband and I had such a good holiday , it was the last week of the hotel being open and it was lovely and quiet Our room had the pool view and side sea view with terrace , it was an upgrade family room , a lovely surprise organised by our travel advisor. The food was varied and fantastic array of salads and I’ve never eaten kiwi fruit like it. A special mention to Rena in the restaurant who was amazing , but all were so friendly and helpful and not intrusive , but cleared away so quickly. Beautiful poached eggs every day ! The family feel of the hotel is outstanding and our room and hotel was spotless , even the pool area We hired a car for three days , and travelled around the island , found some beautiful places and beaches We booked a trip to Lindos and Symi through the company in the hotel foyer , also used his bus to go into Rhodes old town during the day but drove in ourselves in the evening . Car hire was £110 euros for three non consecutive days , would have been less if consecutive but that didn’t fit with the limited days of trips we wanted to experience. We loved the hotel and it’s no frills approach , it just cares and feels like they have cultured a sense of belonging rather than just filling the hotel and grounds with “ stuff to entertain “ Our first trip to Rhodes / Greece and we loved it , we would recommend the hotel if you are looking for a hotel that is smaller and compact but friendly , we used the Greek/ Italian snack bar and the filled rolls at the snack bar. Kalithea beach resort for a few hours was worth 3 euros each and Anthony Quinn bay was stunning Only disappointment was the Jet 2 rep who just wasn’t interested as it was the last week of the season , but I don’t blame her she must have been exhausted and we had no trouble doing our own thing
• 10clarek (8/5): Avra Beach - Oct 25 - We arrived very late and there is a small fridge in reception where you can get a cup of water and a sandwich or a piece of cake. They could do with bring labelled meat or veggie . We appreciated having something small as we had a long day. The location is very good , we used the local buses outside to go to Rhodes Town several times. We visited in 11th -18 th Oct. We stayed in the newer part of the hotel overlooking the pool, it had sea views. The room was one of the newer ones. The rooms are very compact. There wasn’t a lot of space between the fridge and the bed so opening the door was tight. The beds was 2 singles put together , we spoke to them then put a sheet over it, not a mattress which still meant there was a gap in the middle. Agree with all the other comments the rooms are ok but need more hanging space for clothes and hooks to hang things up in general. It was modern but wasn’t a fan of the frosted toilet door and the shower with door closed the floor always ended up wet. That said the cleaners came in every day and always were friendly and changed the towels and cleaned the rooms. They could do with leaving a bottle of water in the fridge which you could refill. The food was good, a lot of choice and my partner is veggie and he managed to get something to eat every mealtime. We liked other 2 day time food options of the Greek gyros and the pizzas were always fresh with lots of choice. We both found most of the drinks quite sweet and sugary but they had a large cocktail / mocktail menu. We would particularly like to mention Young George, Nikos, Anastasia , and the chap who made the fresh gyros. The reception staff were friendly. The animation team were good. A few of the acts for the evening were very good , a band one night and two ladies who sang and played electric violin was good. We didn’t get a Sun bed round room the pool for the whole week . We did get one on the beach ( they get taken very quickly) . The beach is has lots of stones so sea shoes are a must . We used the local buses outside and went to Rhodes Town and did a trip to Lindos and Turkey for the day. . The pool was freezing the sea was warmer.

• S777Mry (8/5): Overall a good hotel but rooms badly designed. - My husband and I spent 2 weeks at this hotel with our daughter/her husband/grandsons joining us midway through. Everyone enjoyed the food, drink, friendly staff etc. The pool was freezing cold though, the sea was much warmer. We booked a superior room with sea view and had a room overlooking the pool with a side sea view. When we arrived, very late after a flight delay of 2 and a half hours, we simply wanted to get straight to bed so didn't unpack until next morning. The room had a modern feel with a small hanging rail and 2 large drawers underneath and a bedside unit with two drawers. There was a toilet, shower cubicle washbasin with a mirror above. But there was absolutely nowhere to hang wet towels, no full length mirror , though there was plenty of empty wall space available, and not even a balcony rail to hang washing. I don't think the designers thought it through properly. I have never stayed in a holiday hotel abroad that didn't have outside hanging rails. My daughter found it very difficult, with 2 young children finding space for wet clothing. The only mirror was the one above the washbasin, which caused some problems if I wanted to dry my hair at the same time my husband was wanting to have a shave or one of us needed to look in a mirror. These "minor" issues made it very awkward and, to be honest, made me not to want to book this hotel again. The people who designed these rooms have not thought about the people who are going to stay in them. It's not rocket science!!
• Z9066RFhannahs (6/5): Great location, unfortunately wouldn't return - I really wanted to like this hotel, but unfortunately, it fell short in so many areas. The reception staff were quite rude on arrival and before we had put our bags down put an invoice infront of us for the tourist tax which set a bad tone from the start. There was no bottled water provided in the room or in the hotel at all, and the maids barely cleaned during our stay. The beds didnt get changed at all and to get new towels we had to make sure ours were piled up in the shower. A huge spillage of something remained on our balcony throughout our stay and the floor never felt clean. There was nowhere to hang towels when showering due to the layout, and overall there just wasn’t enough storage space. The room design was so strange — the sink was right on the other side of the bed, and the toilet and shower both off the room with frosted doors gave no privacy at all. The frosted glass doors on all the toilets throughout the hotel didn’t help either. Noise was a big issue too — people were shouting, screaming and banging doors until around 2 a.m. each night and then start again at 5 a.m, making it impossible to sleep. I have never stayed in such a noisy hotel in the UK or abroad. It could have been due to where our room was located but you would think paying for the best room with the best view you would get some quiet!!! Around the pool and beach area, there were never enough sunbeds for the amount of guests and cigarette ends were scattered everywhere, which wasnt very nice. The food was limited with not much variety, one section was a total repeat of another and it was extremely busy every time we went in. There weren’t many toilets available across the hotel either and there was no hotel gym. On a positive note, the snack bar was very good, the view from our room was amazing, and the location itself is great — close to everything. Overall, the negatives outweighed the positives. It’s a shame because this hotel gets such good reviews but I wouldn’t stay here based on my experience.
• 799nutty007 (10/5): Amazing!!! - Just returned from a week in Avra beach, and what a week it was...we were there for the halloween party..amazing! Well done Boogie and the team there was pumkin carving, treaure hunt, sweets, disco the place was decorated and all staff dressed up great night. Room was spacious, a little dated and quite hard beds , could invest in comfier matress, Food..amazing! Themed night every night , something for everyone, pool snack bar and lunch snack bar also great, pizzas, gyros, fries,, sandwiches...it goes on we were never hungry. Bar area lobby was lovely nice cocktails. 10 mins bus to Rhodes town we got local bus opposite the hotel 12 euro return for 3 of us. Pool area and beach 30 seconds from eachother, spent our days skipping from sea to the pool them back again. Would we return to Avra beach hotel...100000% we would !! We loved it!
• louisehD2952LT (10/5): Fabulous stay and would definetly recommend staying here. Great for families. Friends and couples. - Fabulous last minute holiday to Avra Beach Hotel. Wonderful location, as only took 20 mins from airport, and it's only an easy 1 hour walk along the beautuful seafront road into Old Rhodes Town or a short bus ride if you prefer. Food was great, varied, something for everyone, definitely couldn't fault the food. Drinks great, we had all inclusive and there was a huge amount of different drinks, cocktails and spirits included. Definitely don't skimp on measures, always doubles! Service with a smile, all the staff were friendly, happy to help and entertainment crew very funny and good for families. Facilities, had an on site spa, and we had a couples treatment which was so enjoyable, Watersport Facilities on the beach for hire, plenty of sunbeds, just a perfect stay, thank you, we would definitely return.
• Familyswal (10/5): Family holiday oct - 7 nights here, 2 adults and our 9 year old. We had a great time. Plenty of choice with food and enjoyed the themed evening meal options. The snack bars and italian/Greek lunchtime options were brilliant but the staff were.not friendly at all which was a shame. Main dining room, Rena provided exceptional service and was really friendly. We were allocated one of the refurbished rooms which was ideal for us, very clean and comfortable. The entertainment really made the holiday for us. My husband and son thoroughly enjoyed playing boccia, football, volleyball and even water polo. The evening entertainment was very good. We all loved he hotel "theme tune" and group dance. T shirts a great idea. Sam, Tibi, Boogie, Lea and Bea all did a brilliant job of including everyone and created such a feel good atmosphere.
• tomsP1568EK (10/5): Amazing stay at Avra beach. - We’ve just come back from an amazing week at Avra beach. Staff are so friendly and welcoming and can’t do enough to make your stay special. The food was really good, always plenty of choice and every night was a themed night with different things to choose from. The location is great, close to the airport and Rhodes town and right on the beach with loads of sun beds. The activities each day were great and the entertainment team work really hard ensuring everyone who wants to take part has fun. We loved the beach volleyball with Tibi and the Boccia with Bea and Boogie. Pool lovely but maybe needs more sunbeds directly next to it. Room was also nice , we had a renovated room which was like new and always spotlessly clean. Can’t wait to return next year. Met some lovely people who come every year and the place has a really nice friendly vibe. Evening entertainment good, all in all we had a really nice time. Highly recommend

The staff can't do enough for you they go over and above and always have a smile. The bar, restaurant, snack bar, receptionists, cleaners and even the life guard all are a credit to this hotel. What really makes it really special is the amazing hard working reps who are constantly entertaining you. • Racamac (10/5): Wonderful, exceptional staff, food, cleanliness - Wonderful! We stayed for one week in October as a family of 5 with two children and a baby. We arrived late and were made very welcome, water, filled rolls, cakes, fruit etc were supplied to help ourselves to in reception. All the staff were super friendly and welcoming. Very clean, quick at clearing/cleaning tables with very high standards. Room: we stayed in the bungalows in standard family room, very basic but very clean and fantastic powerful shower. Also had a fridge too. Air co worked well. Food: fantastic, really good quality and themed nights, lunch bars both great too. Drink: great choice of drinks in all inclusive, good cocktails/mocktails Staff: excellent, front of house, housekeeping, entertainment team, all were so friendly and made us feel very welcome Beach/Pool: not heated in October so slightly chilly but great size and allowed to use inflatables etc. Fantastic being only a couple of steps to the beach. Entertainment: great, lots of different high quality shows and kids disco that had the adults bopping to💃 Would highly recommend this hotel.

• Tigger3272 (8/5): 1st visit and sadly won’t be returning. - Hotel is beach based which is very nice , beds on the beach are either blue uncomfortable or the posh grey beds which apparently you can’t reserve but are every day . Pool area is small with few beds again which are mostly reserved with the blue towel . Pool bar a snack bar are well stocked but staff aren’t friendly at all , been visiting Greece for yrs and it’s a reason we return just not the same at the hotel , reception staff are lovely really hold up the front off staff . Food in general is good there’s only one room to eat which was Knick named the canteen , queuing is frequent for the food and it gets very loud when eating , we choose to eat out at local restaurants due to this even though it was all inclusive. Rooms are nice and clean house keeping is very good even with the different times they clean the room . In reflection as are 3rd visit to this lovely island it never disappoints sadly the hotel has I’m sure many many will disagree as I’m getting a bit off a obsession with the hotel which i have seen this many times . There’s better hotels on the island for sure but sadly this one wasn’t for us will be for others and I’m sure they’ll enjoy .
• mathanc3008 (10/5): Wonderful Hotel - We stayed at the Avra Beach Hotel for a week in October. This is probably the best all inclusive hotel I have stayed in. The hotel is quite large and very clean. Our room was lovely, we were situated in one of the older rooms which had a double bed and a separate section where my daughter slept in which contained two single beds. A nice sizeable balcony which backed on to the back of the hotel so it was very quiet and hardly any noise at night time. We did find a minor issue with the room and that was there was only three plug sockets in the entire room, so at times it was a bit difficult to charge some of our electricals, but we managed. The food was exceptional, with it being all inclusive I am always quite sceptical. The hotel runs a snack bar which is available most of the day which provides sandwiches, pastries and toasties, there is also easy access to tea, coffees and soft drinks. Opposite the snack bar is the beach bar, which serves a range of alcoholic drinks such as beer, cocktails and wines throughout the day. All beer and wine is local, which is always a bonus. The Greek/Italian restaurant is open from lunch time to 5/5.30. The food from here was lovely, gyros, burgers, pizzas and pastas etc, my daughter was able to make a pizza one morning before the restaurant opened with other children, I thought this was a really nice touch. There is also a beer and wine taps available where you can pour your own alcoholic drinks. The main restaurant is busy but food was freshly produced all the time and regularly replenished, each night different foods were put on from the hot buffet, the cold buffet was largely the same, nice desserts too. I am not a vegetarian but they did cater to people who may have any dietary requirements. The hot breakfast is also severed in the main restaurant, again plenty of choice - English & Continental options available. The hotel also offers a taxi service which is handy if you are planning a day to trip to somewhere like Rhodes Old Town which we did (would highly recommend visiting the old town). The surrounding area of the hotel is great it's in a good location, lots of bars, restaurants, nice walks etc but all the ammonites are available at the hotel, we just ventured out on a couple of days to try somewhere different, i'd recommend the FBI bar for food and drinks also. The kids club also came in handy, my daughter spent about an hour/ hour and half in their each day, she absolutely loved it and made lots of holiday friends. There was plenty of toys to play with and the children did activities such as arts & crafts, colouring and painting etc. I really enjoyed the entertainment, team leader Sam was very friendly and has a lovely & friendly team. The entertainment provided a number of activities at certain times like aqua aerobics in the pool, volleyball, darts, football and table tennis. Me, my wife and daughter loved the dance that the team did on the bridge at 10am and 3pm, my daughter would love to know the name of the song so I could play it on Spotify or Youtube, she's still singing it and doing the dance now. The evening entertainment was also good. Face painting at 8 o clock and then kids disco at half 8. The adult entertainment usually started around 9 o clock, which included bingo, live music, dancers etc. Finally I would like to say a big thank you to everyone working hard at this hotel, every staff member was really friendly and helpful. From the maids to the hospitality staff. I'd like to mention a couple of staff members by name too. Bar staff Anastassia and Nikos, always friendly and chatty. Tibi in the entertainment team (top man) always working hard and chatting to guests and organising some good football and volleyball matches. And finally the lifeguard who my little 4 year old took a bit of a shine to and loved talking to him, he did a great job of keeping the pool area safe as at times it was a bit slippery around the pool area, but plenty of warning signs were displayed. The entertainment team also offer a holiday t-shirt for 15 euros where you can get your name printed on it, I thought this was a nice touch and we all purchased one. I do have a couple of honest cons but they are very minor, the beach we didn't use it much sadly with it being very stoney, would have loved a sand beach, obviously this is no fault of the hotels. You could walk on it but would advise footwear and swim shoes for the sea. And lastly the pool was very cold, this may have just been down to the time of year (October), it is very big though and we did use it a couple of times. Mainly kids in it who were obviously braver than us adults. All in all we loved this hotel and would visit again if we returned to Rhodes in the future. 5 Stars Avra Beach.
• F6565JLmarkb (10/5): Wow what a great holiday - Probably the best holiday so far and we have had many. We first visited Avra Beach in 2010 and have returned May and October many times since. We were celebrating our Ruby wedding anniversary in October and knew that we wanted to celebrate with the many friends we have made over the last 15 years. Avra beach were so accommodating, agreeing to organise the brilliant D Spot rock group for a day time performance along with sparkling wine and a beautiful cake. Tables were provided for our party of friends, a stage set up for D Spot to perform and Costas even guaranteed the weather 🌞😉....the day was perfect. After our first visit, returning was a no brainer, the hotel is spotless they have the greatest cleaning team whom cannot do enough for you. The choice of drinks/cocktails is enormous and the bar staff are the friendliest people you could know. I don't know how but they remember your choice of drink even down to the slice of orange rather lemon. The all inclusive food choice in the dining room is excellent with many themed nights meaning plates are always full, my favourite is Mexican night. For more relaxed eating visit one of the outside restaurants Greek or Italian,open 12.00 till 5.00 offering pizza, pasta, gyros and many other greek dishes. If you're still hungry then visit the snack bar offering cold and toasted sandwiches, waffles, sweet cakes, ice cream and candy floss. Self service hot and cold drinks are available from 10.00am. Daily entertainment was provided by Sam and his team. I especially enjoyed killer darts, with beach volleyball, table tennis, french Boulle, aqua gymn and stretching all available. Evening entertainment has been brilliant, it is a mix of professional acts D Spot (my fave), violinist and vocalist with in house acts provided by Sam and his team... Leah, Abba, Funky legends and many more. Thanks guys. Finally I would like to thank Mr Manos, Costas, Helena, Alina and all the amazing staff for the holiday of a lifetime. We will be back in May. • 647beckyk (10/5): Amazing! - Just arrived home from an amazing week at this hotel. Food & drinks, staff and hotel in general was all 10/10. Such a friendly welcome when we arrived late from the hotel reception ( I didn’t catch the names sorry! Was a lady with dark hair as well as a young man). Room was cleaned daily and was spotless. Beds were super comfy and the shower was amazing haha. Beautiful view from our room too. Bar staff were great, also a note to other guests it doesn’t hurt to be kind and ask how their day is as well as a thank you. We celebrated my mums birthday whilst we were away and if you notify the restaurant they set a table up with balloons and bubbly, you can also pay for a cake which I recommend because it was delicious! The waiters sang happy birthday too! Really made my mum feel special. Waiters and the managers of the restaurant were also so lovely and efficient. Food was amazing such a wide variety and always super fresh. We loved the gyros from the beach restaurant and the friendly chef serving them! Pizza also fab! Plenty of sun loungers, any towels put down before a certain time get removed which is fair enough. The lovely entertainment team - wow what lovely people, always taking the time to talk to us and make sure we were having a good day/ night. Lots of laughs!! Special shout out to Boogie and Bee 🩷 we never got to say bye but thank you for making our trip!
• C1215RZlouiser (8/5): Good but could do with some updates in some of the family rooms - Only had one issue and that was the room, we had a family room and it was really dated and basic, only 2 chairs on balcony but there was 4 of us, asked for more don’t get them till 4 days later, if you can I’d have a upgraded room. ended up being moved because we had a lot of ants in the room. Hotel staff were great, food was really good, facilities were excellent, entertainment staff were the best, especially Bee my daughter thought she was amazing, they all made us feel welcome and if we had any problems they helped us out without hesitation xx
• Y6939LZamyp (10/5): Amazing family holiday! - We booked to stay here last minute for a bit of winter sunshine and it was absolutely amazing! Food - One of, if not the best all inclusive food I have experienced. They cater for everyone. They changed the theme every night so that it is not repetitive and every night the food was exceptional. They have a snack bar once breakfast is finished with yogurts, ice creams and pastries all day and then the best part is at 11-3 they do waffles which are amazing!! The beach hut was my absolute favourite. They had an Italian and Greek side. They would make gyros, pastas, pizza, salads etc... All freshly made and absolutely devine! Negative - The only thing I would say is that daughter has a dairy intolerance and they only had one carton of oat milk so as soon as that had run out we were not able to get any more and the snack bar didn't have any dairy free food options but there were lots of other options available at the main restaurant. Rooms - I cannot comment on other room types but we had the standard room type and although it was a bit dated it was absolutely fine for us but was a bit small as there were 2 adults, 1 child and an infant in our room so we was a bit on top of each other but absolutely fine for us. Entertainment - Absolutely amazing. My daughter is still dancing at home to all the different routines that she had learnt. All of the entertainment team are full of energy and tries to encourage everyone to get involved but are not pushy. The kids club is great as well and was open 10 - 17:00 for ages 4+ they had lots of toys and arts and crafts for them and movies on and they played lots of games too. Pool - The pool was lovely and kept very clean but we went in October and it felt like an ice bath so my baby did not go in but my eldest daughter was in it all of the time. They did dances around the pool as well which made this fun for the kids. The sun loungers aren't meant to be reserved but everyone else was doing it so felt we had to but our towels were removed when doing so, so I'm not really sure what to do about that but as I went in October it wasn't overly crowded and could go down to the beach as there were plenty more options there. We had a great time as our first holiday as family of 4 and would love to come back again. Thank you! 😁
• 563aislingm (10/5): Fabulous Stay! Beautiful hotel and surroundings, delicious food, and the most attentive and pleasant staff! - Travelled to Avra Beach one week ago. This was our first visit and certainly won’t be our last! We absolutely loved it. Myself, husband and 5 year old daughter. We arrived after 11pm and still managed to get a snack and drink before bed. Location- Situated on a quiet area but still shops, bars, restaurants and a few supermarkets within walking distance. We took a bus into the old town and I loved it! So many shops and ancient buildings. The marina was simply beautiful. Atmosphere in the hotel was lively but not chaotic. Very very family orientated. The staff were really great. I was really impressed with their English! The animation team in my eyes deserve a special shout out. They went above and beyond to make every family feel welcome! They spoke daily and encouraged everyone to join in, but weren’t pushy. You can tell they were made for the job they do. We stayed in a standard family room which I feel was slightly dated however, clean and I think we got a bargain for the price we paid! Beds were very comfortable. One thing I would say is the walls are very thin. The restaurants and food.. MY GOD. Best all inclusive I have ever had. Fresh pizza, salad, gyros etc all day by the pool. Ice cream, waffles, sandwiches. Then the main restaurant, plentiful delicious breakfast, tasty lunch and themed dinners every evening. Honestly for all inclusive the options and flavours were top class. Pool beautiful, as you can imagine cold in October but that’s expected! Beautiful beach with volley ball court! One small negative thing I would say, I feel there should be more sun loungers around the pool and beach? There are signs about not reserving beds, but they seem to be ignored. We always eventually did get beds/seats but I imagine it would be much more difficult peak season. Overall, we’ve already priced and are planning to return before the end of the summer! I think the staff deserve really went above and beyond. It seems they make a real effort to remember each family, likes and dislikes, previous orders etc. Give them a raise!
• carolinebS6072KF (10/5): Outstanding holiday and Ruby Wedding celebration - We have had many great holidays at Avra Beach since our first visit in 2010, usually returning two or three times a year. We return to the hotel because of the exceptional staff, food, location and cleanliness. We have made many friends there over the years and it has become our regular meeting place that we all love. This year I visited in May with my husband, in September with my elderly mother, who thoroughly enjoyed it, and I have just returned from 17 nights in October, with my husband, celebrating our Ruby wedding anniversary. We couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate our big anniversary. It is the best holiday we have ever had (and there have been some great ones!). The hotel management and staff did everything possible to make it a truly memorable occasion for us and all our friends. Mr Manos, the hotel’s Manager, very kindly agreed to arrange for our favourite band to perform during the afternoon for our anniversary. We wanted everyone at the hotel to enjoy the party. The amazing D Spot Band preformed outside, with the spectacular view behind them. Kostas, the restaurant manager, reserved tables for our friends, served sparkling wine and arranged beautiful cake for us. Everything was just perfect both on the day and during the whole holiday. We couldn’t have wished for a better day. The hotel took care of everything. We are so grateful to Mr Manos, Kostas, Helena and all the hotel staff for everything they did for us. Thank you all so much and also to the fantastic D Spot Band - Daniel, Dinos and Peter. The evening entertainment at the hotel has been excellent this year. The absolute highlight of the week is the D Spot Band’s performance each Wednesday evening. I do hope they will return next season sp that we can enjoy them again. We also enjoyed the violinist and the Funky Legends - they both provided a great party atmosphere. During the daytime and evenings the animation team provide fun activities and entertainment. Besides all the activities they always made time to talk to us and make sure we were enjoying ourselves. We particularly enjoyed the darts with Boogie, stretching with Bee and team leader Sam’s water gym and bingo. The day-time Octoberfest was fabulous with the beer pong, food, drinks, music and dancing. Sam also kept us well entertained with the music around the pool all day, while the talented Lia had her own evening show, singing and playing the keyboard. The hotel itself is exceptionally clean and the two ladies who cleaned our room every day remembered us and welcomed us back. We had a very spacious room overlooking the garden and pool with a beautiful view down through the garden to the sea. All the staff, without exception, are friendly and helpful - the night porter, receptionists, Helen, Helena and Gelu who looks after the sunbeds, and restaurant and bar staff. Pawel, the lifeguard and first aider, besides doing a great job keeping order and safety around the pool, is such a lovely character. The food in the main restaurant and in the Greek and Italian restaurant is excellent. Both have beautiful views of the Aegean. We particularly enjoy the Asian Fusion and Mexican themed nights, but for those who prefer something a little more traditional there are always lots of alternatives to choose from every mealtime. The drinks are plentiful with lots of choice and always served with a smile. Kostas, Billy and all the restaurant and bar staff work really hard to ensure all the guests enjoy their stay. It really is a wonderful hotel and I never tire of returning. Our holidays at Avra Beach this year have been outstanding. We look forward to seeing everyone again in 2026 and wish you all great winter break and well deserved rest.
• X8832EEmarkj (10/5): 40th Ruby Wedding Anniversary - My wife and 1 arrived on Friday 3rd October approximately 11.45pm checked in with reception staff and were given our room key card. After a long day spent travelling we decided to go straight to the bar where we were made very welcome and had a couple of drinks. We made our way up to our room !!!!!! So very basic with a lovely view of the main road along with the constant noise of traffic - my wife's face sank to the ground and she started crying - when we booked the holiday through a travel agent we mentioned we were celebrating our Ruby wedding anniversary and the agent requested a warm welcoming room with a bit of a splash - anniversary theme ? well obviously this room was totally the opposite !! After spending our first night in twin beds (pushed together to look like a double) we made our way down to reception to enquire about something else The lovely lady on reception whose name is Kiriaki asked us how we enjoyed our first night !!!! I very politely brought up our total disappointment with the room and without hesitation she told us to pack everything up and transferred us to a Beautiful room that was decorated with roses, balloons, towels made into swans kissing in the shape of a love heart bottle of wine with two glasses couldn't of asked for more - She totally transferred our start to the holiday The food was plentiful with so much variety - if you couldn't find anything you liked there is something wrong with you !! well stocked bars. The staff were really friendly and helpful constantly cleaning up with smiles on their faces. The hotel is right on the beach with ample loungers to soak up the sun and relax There is a main restaurant an outside mini restaurant by the beach and a bar open all day brilliant location close to some small well stocked shops and bus route to Rhodes entertainment themes and very relaxing seating inside for later on lovely clean pools by the bar area for those who prefer swimming instead of the sea All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back Thank you Avra Beach and of course Kiriaki who made us feel special
• BarrySmith1989 (10/5): My 5th Stay at Avra Beach And It Won't Be My Last... - Since 2022 I have visited Avra Beach every year since. Just when you thought it could not get better than the year before you get caught off guard. I absolutely love everything about this Hotel. From the Management, Bar and Restaurant Staff to the Animation Team and the Entertainment provided. Animation - Team Leader Sam and his right hand man Boogie were an absolute dream team. Not to mention Lia, Bea and of course Tibi. So vibrant and friendly and super energetic, they all made us feel so welcome and made sure everything was ok. Great in conversation and loved the banter applied too. Bar and Restaurant Staff - Kostas and Vasili made sure that having a large party of 12 we had a table prepared and reserved for Dinner every evening we was present. Very polite and sufficient. Always professional and made sure that we were satisfied from start to finish. Thank you so much also to the Bar Staff during the day and evening with mentions of Nikos, Spiros, Anastasia, Mike, Tassos, Ivanka, Natalia, Kyriakos, Katerina and Maria to name a few. Sorry if I missed anyone out but thank you for your ongoing hospitality and making our stay just that little bit better. You always go above and beyond making sure we have drinks available and the memory to remember our order is incredible. Rooms - The Rooms are super clean and tidied daily, we had no issues at all with fresh towels daily and beds made. Our room was so spacious also and a lovely Pool/Sea View room from our Balcony. Extra Mentions - Thank you to Eleni, Alina, Kostas, Xristos, Gelu and Mary. Everyone at Front of house made sure was greeted and they were super polite to make sure we was satisfied. Food - The food was even better this year from the Snack Bar to the Themed Greek and Italian Restaurant and not to mention dinner. Every night was different and the variety was super impressive. Considering we have a fussy eater in our party, he thoroughly enjoyed every meal. We are back again in August 2026 for a Wedding which I am super excited about. See you guys soon...
• sarahgT3454GN (10/5): The best there is - The positives; The hotel is a great resort with everything you could need to make a wonderful stay. The location is great if you want to go and explore the Island or even just the local area. The reception staff will advise you of anything you need and the Old Town is very close. You will receive a wonderful welcome from the reception staff, they couldn’t be more helpful! The rooms are lovely and beds are very comfortable, all rooms have aircon and wifi, there are lifts and it’s very accessible. I have never stayed in a place kept so clean, the housekeeping (and maintenance) teams are nothing short of incredible. Unlike so many other “all inclusives”, this hotel is, the breakfast is magnificent and there’s food available all day, please don’t miss the Greek/Italian bistro areas during the day. It’s such a good sign you see the head chef all day walking between all the areas ensuring the high standard is met. Dinner is a variety of options, highly recommend the Asian Fusion night and always save room for the indescribable puddings. We always found a good variety and a high standard. The Animation team work so hard (a well earned day off on a Thursday) providing activities, kids club, and generally keeping the entertainment going. Special mentions go to the beautiful Bee who is a wonderful soul and Boogie, you have to meet him to believe it, but his energy is infectious, to meet him is to love him. The evening entertainment can be patchy but if the violinist is on make sure to see her, she’s incredible! The following can’t help but sound like an Oscars speech but it’s true; Kostas walks so many steps a day checking on everything and his commitment to a high standard sets the bar. Vasilis is one of the kindest men you could meet and cares so much about his team. During the day you have Nikos and Kyriakos looking after you, it says something that after 20+ years service each they still laugh and are a joy to be around. Special mention has to also go to Natalie who works tirelessly. In the evening there’s another dream team. I don’t ever want to go to a bar where George isn’t working, what a gorgeous boy in every way. Michalis is a beautiful soul who is a shining star. Elton works hard and has found his place as a cheeky chappy as we would call him and there are a host of other staff who make sure the place runs brilliantly, so much you don’t even notice them. You are all appreciated. There’s two superstars I can’t leave without mentioning – Spiros, you are the best bartender in town, another cocktail please… and and Anastazia, the very best barwoman there is, your smile lights up the room. To all the staff -please know you are the ones that make our holiday and make us want to come back again and again… The negatives; there are none (and I’m picky). Thank you Avra for becoming a home from home, every time we visit we see more people fall under your charm. I hope all the staff have a well deserved rest and we will see you in 2026.

This was the fifth time we have visited this hotel which in itself should show what a lovely hotel it is. Thank you to Kiriaki on reception who always goes above and beyond to help with everything - please make sure you keep her at Avra Beach she is like meeting family every year Want to thank all animation team especially Sam, Boogie, Tibi and Bee who kept us entertained all holiday. Also please make sure you keep Lia on as night entertainment she is so talented. Want to also thank Kostas for sorting out our table everynight - well done for treating us so welcoming. Just rooms on first night was let down until we asked to changed rooms.. - 5* and that’s because of the entertainment team without them it would’ve been boring! They keep the place alive! The best entertainment team! The team leader Sam is an amazing person he is so genuine and lovely he helps you out so much and has a heart of gold! Lia, she is one of the loveliest girls and she is so good with the kids especially when it comes to kids club and the night time kids entertainment! (Us being 5 adults we were all joining in with some of the dances). Tibi, wow he is just next level, he’s just like us geordies… crazy 😂 he is always down to have some fun and interact with everyone! He is the best! Bee, my South African girl. She is amazing she is so helpful, she is always so happy and is down for anything! Lastly, Boogie. Let me tell you, he knows how to get everyone up on that dance floor and the moves he brings to the floor is next level. His energy is so vibrant and he lights up every room. As a collective the entertainment team are amazing! Friends for life!
• Q8821WOtaylorg (10/5): Avra beach 2025! - Had a lovely 2 weeks in Avra beach resort, The rooms themselves can do with a little TLC and updating, We didnt get off to a good start with the accommodation but the lovely women behind the reception desk done her best to get us swapped into a nicer room (Although this was at our expense and cost €400 ontop of what we already paid) Anyway the holiday went on and couldn't have had a better time with the animation team, They are all SO welcoming and a right laugh, Our stay was made extra special by Sam, Lia, Tibi, Boogie and Bee. Each and everyone of them have the most beautiful soul and go above and beyond to make you feel right at home. Without them on board our holiday wouldn't have been so good. We love them all Places to try whilst staying at this hotel, Symi island, Lindos, FBI bar, Old and New town (We enjoyed old town better)
• seancY4692GP (10/5): 100% - Hi, I'm Sean and my wife is Sharon we went to Rhodes for a week in the beginning of October and stayed at the Avra Beach Hotel it was the first time we had been on holiday together just the two of us in 25 years we had always gone with our children or parents so this was pretty exciting for us and it was amazing the hotel was a 4 star I would have given it 5 star's the hotel rooms were immaculate, excellent staff from cleaning our room to staff at the bar, dining, reception,and entertainment a big thanks to Sam, Boogie and the rest of the team for a great week of entertainment it was a holiday to remember so when we got home we booked to go back to Avra Beach Hotel in 2026,we had a brilliant time thanks to everyone. 😁

• andybP8370JO (8/5): Saga Holidays Meets Benidorm - The hotel itself is absolutely class both in cleanliness and quality. The only negatives would be the lack of storage and furnishings in the rooms. Although the shower was great, however to use it you need the touch of a Brain Surgeon as the slightest touch in the wrong direction either meant boiling water or freezing water. Rooms are very poorly sound proofed and you can literally hear someone fart five doors away. Staff were both efficient and friendly in equal measures, and as previous reviews indicated work very very hard. The food in all 3 areas was top notch and there was always something that we both liked. The pool area and beach are literally next to each other, with limited sun loungers around the pool but loads on the beach. Be warned the beach is more pebbles than sand so shoes are a must. It was clear from day one that a lot of the patrons have been coming to the hotel for many years. In fact the majority we spoke with had come 2/3 a year for the past decade’s. This made it quite clicky and more akin to a hotel located in Benidorm. Not much going on outside the hotel but Rhodes Town was only a short bus ride away. This could easily be arranged at the front desk for a fair price. Overall a great hotel with exceptional staff and food, if a little too much like Benidorm for my liking. Tip for management, please look into either a designated smoking area or at least an area designated for non smokers. I think over the 10 days we were there I must have smoked 40 a day and I don’t even smoke.
• S3963IWamandan (10/5): Avra - Did Not disappoint - Well what can I say, Avra you did not disappoint, spent 2 weeks with husband and friends, we had a blast and the animation team was great throughout the whole 2 weeks, Sam and Team thankyou so so much for your time and company, thankyou also to Kostas for accommodating all 12 of us in the restaurant for our evening meal. The only thing I would say is the evening entertainment was the same over the 2 weeks and not as much variety as we have had all the previous years we have stayed with you. Can not wait to see you all next year, take care to all staff at Avra xx
• skybertie (10/5): A well run hotel in an excellent location. - The hotel is in a great location, backing directly onto the beach (no road to cross). It is a short drive from the airport and operates a regular bookable shuttle bus to the old and new town for a small fee. Dinner in the main restaurant has a daily theme across the week before repeating. I'm a bit fussy but I had no problem finding things I enjoyed eating. The Greek/Italian restaurant is smaller and closes in the evening. Drinks were not premium but were adequate and plentiful. But there was a lack of good coffee. Our Room (superior family) had a lovely view of the sea and a large balcony. It was spacious but there was a distinct lack of hooks etc. Glad we had 2 spare beds to lay things out. On the first floor, the balcony isn't covered so is not useable in the wet and any towels you leave out will get wet. Down stairs you get shelter but are at eye level with little privacy. There is a well stocked shop in the hotel which is fairly priced and a supermarket a short walk away. One issue was the constant music. Around the pool large speakers are brought out to play general pop music for most of the day and then the Entertainment runs to almost 11 most nights. It can get a bit wearing and I'm not sure what it achieves/ who wants it? young families with infants... doubtful. Senior citizens... doubtful... the handful of teenagers? We cannot fault the staff. The hotel and our room were kept very clean. The staff in the restaurant worked tirelessly to clear away dishes and relay tables (Thanks Maria!) and it was great to see members of the management team greeting customers every night and being available throughout the dinner serving. Bar staff were jolly despite the pressure and served drinks very quickly keeping queues to a minimum. I have 2 suggestions - We would gratefully have paid for a few decent cups of coffee each day so that might be something to add. That service might get more trade than the popcorn machine that is also a chargeable extra. Alternatively add a Nespresso machine in the Superior rooms. A sign stating opening hours for the trip booking desk would be very helpful.

My wife and I make it a rule to never go to the same resort/hotel/island twice (the world is big enough to not repeat a holiday), but the Avra Beach Hotel might just be the exception to this rule. It is so nice! Definitely recommend the superior family room. The view is incredible. As for the staff... A very warm welcome from the reception staff as soon as you arrive. It is incredibly clean, everywhere. The food is continuously delicious; you'd have to be really fussy to not find something to your taste. And the cocktail menu on the all-inclusive deal is huge. Full credit to the F&B staff. They're an incredibly hard working team and always pleasant. As for the animation team, without doubt the best bunch we've met. Also relentlessly hard working and manage it with the biggest smiles on their faces. They really do bring such a nice vibe. As does everyone in fact. A really nice atmosphere throughout. Thanks, Avra

• kaye_jodie (10/5): Fantastic family holiday - Our family of 8, including two young children (aged 2 and 4), recently stayed at this hotel, and overall, we had a fantastic time! When we first arrived, we were given three older rooms that didn’t match the photos on the Jet2 website, which was a bit disappointing. However, after speaking with the reception and also meeting with the Jet2 rep, we were moved to three newly refurbished rooms. These rooms were a real highlight – they were bright, modern, and located next to each other, which was perfect for our family. We even had a slight view of the beach, and the ground floor setting was ideal with young kids. The transfer from the airport was quick and efficient, which was much appreciated after a long 4-hour flight and a 2-hour delay in England. The local area is lovely, with plenty of shops, bars, and restaurants nearby. Plus, it’s only a 10-minute taxi ride to Rhodes town, which is definitely worth a visit. One of the highlights of our trip was the speedboat trip to Symi – such a beautiful island! As for the hotel food, we were impressed by the variety. There was always something for everyone, with a different theme each night. The Greek/Italian lunch spot overlooking the beach was a lovely touch as well. The all-inclusive package offered a great selection of drinks, and I was particularly impressed with the cocktails on offer – one of the best lists I’ve seen in an all-inclusive resort. But what really made this holiday special were the incredible animation team – Bee, Boogie, Sam, and Tibi all went above and beyond to engage with us every day. Our kids especially loved the nightly face painting and kids disco with the ladies. Both of them still remember the club dance, and ask us to play the song on repeat! Overall, we made so many wonderful memories during our stay, and we would love to come back in the future. Highly recommend!
• rachelsF6750SM (8/5): Amazing holiday - Overall, this hotel is amazing, and I would 100% come back again. Hotel & Rooms The hotel itself is modern and spotless. We were lucky to be placed in the newer side of the property (there is an older wing, which I imagine will be due for renovation soon). Our room (268) was stylish and clean but lacked practical storage. Unlike our family’s room next door, which had plenty of hooks and drawers, ours had none — meaning towels and bags ended up on the floor and damp towels had to be replaced daily. A few small improvements would make a huge difference: drawers under the desk (currently just an open cupboard), hooks for towels and bags, and a shelf in the shower (ours was missing, though our family’s room had one). The shower tray also slopes for drainage, but with toiletries on the floor it felt a little unsafe. On the balcony, a small airer would also be helpful; most guests had no option but to drape clothes over the glass or chairs, leaving the cleaners constantly wiping glass panels. Housekeeping The cleaners are lovely and work incredibly hard — our room was kept spotless. The only issue is that they don’t seem to notice the “Do Not Disturb” light, so if you really don’t want anyone entering, it’s best to request a door-hanging sign from reception. Food & Dining The food overall was excellent, with a different theme each evening. Some nights were stronger than others, but the variety and quality were generally high. That said, the vegetarian offering could use improvement. While there were always some options, they were often repetitive (mainly pasta, chips, vegetables, and salad). A few small tweaks would make a big difference: • Greek night: alongside chicken gyros, offer plain pitta so vegetarians can build their own. • Mexican night: leave some burritos plain, add nachos, and let guests assemble their own. • Asian night: offer a veggie noodle option, not just chicken. Pool & Snack Bars The pool area is large with plenty of beds and space. We often ate at the snack bars instead of the main restaurant — the gyros and Italian corner were excellent, the sandwiches and pastries were fresh, and the waffle bar (open 11:00–15:00) was a highlight. The only real let-down was the staff at the snack bar. They often seemed unfriendly and, at times, ignored guests waiting. For example, one member of staff would be busy making waffles, and if the other wasn’t around, people were left standing there until they returned. On a couple of occasions, staff looked directly at us waiting at the counter but didn’t acknowledge us or take an order. It wasn’t a huge issue because we always eventually got served, but compared to the warm and friendly staff elsewhere in the hotel, it stood out. Tours The tours offered through reception were excellent and very reasonably priced. Unlike many hotels that add a markup, here the cost was the same or even cheaper than booking directly. For example, return transfers to Rhodes Old and New Town were just €7 per person — fantastic value. The transfers were run by Mavas Tours, who provided small, comfortable minibuses with strong air conditioning and friendly drivers. A big plus was the flexibility: you could choose your pick-up and return times, whether you wanted a quick visit or a full day out from 9:00 to 22:00 — still for the same €7. Beach The beach itself is lovely, with warm, clear water, but I would strongly recommend bringing water shoes or crocs. The beach isn’t sandy — it’s covered in large stones, which are painful to walk on and make getting in and out of the water tricky. The seabed also slopes, so walking down on the stones can be both uncomfortable and slippery. With proper footwear, though, it’s much easier to enjoy. Entertainment The entertainment programme was fun and varied. Friday bingo and karaoke were especially enjoyable. Bingo costs €10 per person, which goes towards the prizes, and the prizes themselves were generous. Just note that the numbers are read out quickly, so sit near the front if you can. Bee and Boogie deserve a special mention — they were consistently friendly and always came over for a chat. They encouraged us to join in activities early in the stay but quickly understood we preferred to relax and still made an effort to connect with us. Tibi was more of a mixed experience. He was very enthusiastic but also quite pushy. For example, when we declined to join a football game, he called us “lazy” and “boring.” At one point, after asking what would make us relax, he took offence at my reply (“to be left to relax”), which was meant in a light-hearted, typically British way. He later apologised to my partner, which I appreciated, but overall he came across as someone who can dish out banter but struggles when it’s returned. Bars & Drinks Most of the bar staff were fantastic, and the drink selection was very good for all-inclusive. Some cocktails could use tweaking (the Mojito lacked lime and sugar, and the Sex on the Beach tasted more like fruit punch, whereas the San Francisco cocktail oddly tasted closer to it). However, the biggest disappointment was Vasillis, who appeared to be in some sort of supervisory role. Unfortunately, he was consistently rude in multiple interactions. For example: • On bingo night, we had spent €40 on tickets but weren’t given any pens. As the game was about to start, I quickly asked at the bar if they had any. His response was, “They’re over by the entertainers.” When I explained they had run out, he said, “What do you want me to do about it?” and waved me away with “go over there.” I ended up having to interrupt the start of the game and walk in front of everyone to sort it out myself, which was uncomfortable and unnecessary. • In the restaurant, he often seemed disengaged. His main role was directing guests to tables, but rather than politely guiding people, he would bark instructions like “follow my colleague.” I saw him snap his fingers right by a guest’s ear when they didn’t hear him the first time, then curtly tell them “go over there.” The guests looked shocked, and honestly, so was I. What made it worse is that, while other bar staff worked hard serving drinks, Vasillis spent most of his time standing at the edge of the bar watching them. Occasionally he would pick up a tray of glasses, but otherwise he seemed more focused on monitoring others than helping guests. For someone in a leadership position, his attitude really stood out against the otherwise brilliant service from the rest of the team. Final Thoughts Despite a few frustrations, this hotel delivers a fantastic holiday overall. The modern rooms, excellent food, wide pool area, and great entertainment team make it a wonderful place to stay. With just a few improvements — especially around room storage, vegetarian options, snack bar service, and staff consistency — it could easily go from amazing to exceptional.
• paulsS4918GY (6/5): Avra Beach Review - Review of Avra Beach Hotel I’m currently staying at the Avra Beach Hotel and thought I’d share my honest experience, since I had read very mixed reviews before coming—some excellent, some very poor, especially about the rooms. Before arrival, I emailed the hotel requesting a refurbished room. I kept my expectations realistic, saying that as long as it was clean, we’d be happy. We arrived early in the morning and were given our key by the night staff. They weren’t especially friendly, but not rude either. However, when we opened the door to our room, our excitement quickly turned into disappointment.It looked like something from the 1970s. We didn’t even unpack, just got into bed and decided to sort things out the next day. At reception the following morning, the staff were very helpful. The lady gave us three alternative rooms to look at later that morning. One was a superior refurbished room with a sea view, though it came at an extra cost of €130. The other rooms weren’t much better than the original one. In the end, we went for the superior room, and honestly, it was well worth it. Now we’re enjoying a lovely holiday. The food and drinks are good, the vibe around the hotel is nice, and while some staff are friendlier than others, overall service is fine. The bus to Rhodes town from the hotel is also efficient and definitely worth taking. Looking back, I’d say the “clean and tidy” mindset didn’t work for us—the original room felt less than three-star quality and really shouldn’t be sold as anything more. My advice: only book if you can secure a refurbished room, otherwise you might be disappointed. That said, with the upgrade, we’re now having a wonderful time at Avra Beach.But would not return as we have stayed at much better 4 star hotels. -

We had a superior family room with a sea view (amazing and well worth booking as it’s in the newer block and the rooms are 10/10) The staff make this hotel, they are so personal with you and your kids, always going the extra mile to make you feel special - every single member are so hardworking and friendly, which really makes this hotel what it is! The food is divine, the best all inclusive I have been to. And the setting is lovely, right on the beach with the most gorgeous sunset! We will be back, like most guests who we spoke to who return every year! Extra shout outs to Elton & Anastasia, who showed our children so much love and Kiriakos who is the best bar man, that man is never without a smile on his face and remembers your drink order which is always a plus from me! And to each member of the entertainment team who all went the extra mile with our children - you are amazing. Avra Beach you are a special place and we can’t wait to come back again already! ❤️

I have never gone back to the same hotel twice but this was our second stay at Avra Beach, the last was 2023 and once again we had the best holiday! We had a superior family room with sea view this time which was so lovely, clean, spacious and the view from our balcony was just beautiful. Upon arrival we found a bottle of wine and some sweet treats which was such a lovely touch. The food is great and there is something for everyone. There is a snack bar and the Greek/Italian place with amazing gyros, pizzas, pastas and salads so you will never go hungry here. The staff at this hotel work so hard, the reception staff, the bar and restaurant staff, the cleaners and the pool guy are all so lovely. The entertainment team are the best, Boogie, Sam, Bea and Lia are fantastic! They made our holiday and they were absolutely brilliant with our son as they are with all guests. The Sunbed situation is not the best as yes if you want good beds you need to be down early but if you get beds before 8am you have to stay with them until after 8am or your towels will be removed. It’s not the best for those who want a lay in but when you have kids it just means 1 parent gets some alone time which can be nice 😁. There are plenty of beds between the pool and sea for those who don’t like to get up early though. The location of the hotel is perfect. There is a little shop in the hotel with most things you may need. There is a Pharmacy across the road and a few shops again with any bits you might want/need. There is also a huge Spar shop 2 mins walk from the hotel so if you forget anything no problem. There is a bar called FBI about a 10 min walk from the hotel which is a must visit as their drinks list is insane and the food is also pretty good. Rhodes Old Town is just a short taxi or bus ride and is definitely recommended, it’s beautiful. There’s so much more I can say about this hotel but if you want a family friendly, safe, clean hotel not too far from the airport with good food and drink and great entertainment then Avra Beach is the one! As I said before, another fantastic stay at Avra Beach and we are already looking to book again for next year!
• caitlinnaughts (8/5): Overall nice hotel but some pros and cons after our second visit.. - This was our 2nd year visiting Avra Beach and even though we really enjoyed it and left feeling sad to be going home there was definitely pros and cons to the hotel after a second visit. Pros - - Superior family room is amazing with the beach view (worth paying extra) - Rooms are clean - Food is delicious with lots of good variety - bar snacks etc.. Greek and Italian restaurant is amazing - Staff are soo friendly! Special shout out to all the bar staff & George. - Animation team this year were amazing (last year not so good) - Location is very good, you’re literally on the beach and you’re close to the airport and old/new town etc.. - Bus service in to the old/new town is very good, 7 euro each for a return ticket Cons - - Old rooms that haven’t been upgraded yet are completely different to the new rooms - heard people complaining about their rooms. Think the hotel should look in to slowly upgrading all rooms if they’re not already. - Management - this time around it seemed like the staff were slightly on edge and overworked. Some staff that we met last year were so happy and smiley but this year seemed so fed up & I’m not surprised when you have the bar and restaurant managers constantly standing, watching them all night. Felt sorry for some of the staff as they work so hard and I really hope they value their staff! I get management needs to keep things running smoothly but it’s just an observation we made. - Cocktails are watered down and too sugary with the syrup and you have to pay extra for the nice cocktails. - Sunbeds - you have one section of the hotel with luxurious, new grey sunbeds and the rest of the hotel is old sunbeds. I would look in to investing in to replacing all sunbeds within the resort over time. Overall we love Avra Beach and it hits the spot for many things and will definitely return again in the future :)
• juliemal (6/5): Not for us anymore- - We arrived at the hotel about 11pm ish- we were checed in so quickly, one man looked at our passports while the other put wrist bands on, and was told our room number, and given a leaflet and that was it-was not at all friendly. We Stayed at Avra for 8 days, and this will be the last time, nowhere near as good as it used to be. We had a superior room facing the garden, there was no privacy whatsoever on the balcony, we were facing the doors of other guest rooms. There was no wardobe just 2 little hanging rails and 4 small draws, and an overhead cupboard that was too high up opposite the sink. The shower was large and powerful, not very private with opaque glass. The food was not too good, quite a bit of a selection and clearly labelled, but the food was at best warm and bland, i did ask if there was a microwave to be told "no". There was a little white haired man that was doing the fresh cuts of meat, and i asked if i could have some pork before it was put in the gravy, and he literally picked it up by hand and smacked it on my plate-I did report it to the restaurant manager at the time... Breakfast was'nt too bad, at least the eggs were hot "cooked fresh". 3 times i see toast actually catching alight, and it was'nt thick or anything, but was told not to alter the settings. There was not really a selection of drinks for breakfast, we would usually have Fresh Orange pineapple ect, but the orange was just the dilute-and i didnt really want a fizzy drink in the morning either, so it was water, tea and coffee was on offer too, but i never enjoyed it neither did my husband. There are a lot of positives to the hotel: Animation make this place they are so funny and interact with everyone, always had time for a chat and ask how our day was ect, and informed everyone of what was going on for that day and evening there were a lot of good vibes. On the evening when the entertainment team were off, there was like a screen effort, and someone put the "Happy Feet" movie on, would of been okay if we were 12 lol, then another evening the act never showed up, and it was turned into a quiz night. A couple of evenings there was bingo too. The Staff are all friendly, the hotel, pool area, and gardens are all kept clean, rooms were cleaned daily and fresh towels where needed were left. Location is okay, right on the beach, but you need beach shoes, its not pebbles its cobbles and can be tricky. There is not a lot to do around the area, although there is a restaurant almost opposite called Napoli, we ate in there a few times and was lovely. With a good few tweeks this hotel could be right up there, but we WON'T be returning.
• danielledT8424TG (10/5): 10/10 must stay if coming to Rhodes - Amazing time at this hotel, we now come twice a year, one time for a relaxing holiday then another as a stop when visiting other islands. Rooms are amazing, both the old style and new. Kostas at reception always greets us with a smile. Kostas the food manager can never do enough for us and the food here is better that any all inclusive I have had worldwide. Especially the day time outdoor restaurants Greek and Italian food. I specifically come here for the Caesar salad! The bar staff are always great, Spiros, Anastasia, Nikos, Vasalis, Mike, Elton and more always so friendly as we always sit at the inside bar, but there is also an outdoor bar and snack bar on an evening. Also enjoying the new comfy sun loungers, there is only a small amount of them but if we are there early enough they are so relaxing to lay on.

Once again we had a beautiful superior room which overlooked the pool. The room was spotless and the maids were in every day. The staff are brilliant, nothing is too much trouble and you are always greeted with a smile and some good banter (cheers Marra to Kiriakos). Good food in the restaurant which has a different theme each night so lots of choice and the outdoor restaurant does the best pizzas, pork gyros and pork skewers. The beach (which is shingle) is always kept clean and tidy every day. Entertainment 6 nights a wk and plenty to do during the day with the animation team. Our friends came out for the last 4 days of our holiday, (they usually visit Spain) so this was a huge change for them and they loved it! They were blown away by the hotel, the staff, the food and Rhodes itself and are now fully converted (job done). Can’t fault anything about this place, hence the reason why we keep returning. Keep up the good work Avra and we’ll see you next year 👍🏻

The food catered for everyone and it was amazing,the snack bar for dinner had everything can not fault this hotel and will be returning definitely for our 4th time but it was our first with all our family and they loved it. • killieburd (10/5): Perfect relaxing holiday. - Currently staying at the Avra Beach, well just about to check out thought I'd write my review while getting ready. Avra beach is a proper beach front hotel and approximately 45 minutes from the airport. We checked in quite late, around 11:45pm. The person managing the reception seemed to act like we had disturbed him. Check in was prompt, keys handed over and off we went. Tourist tax was paid at check-in,€10 per night, so don't forget to have some Euros handy. The room we were allocated looked clean but slightly outdated. Couldn't open the wardrobe door fully due to it hitting the bed. The balcony door was very stiff. Beds firm but comfortable. Bathroom had a bath with an overhead shower. The tap was in an awkward position as was the shower head. We had a slight sea view which was nice. The pool area was nice. Not many beds. (Don't try and snag a sunbed before 8am. If you put a towel down and walk away it will be removed) My partner usually went down at 7:30 to look for one and waited until I came down, and then we headed for breakfast. The food in the restaurant was good. Im fussy but always found something that I fancied. There's another restaurant at the other side, open from 11:30am - 5:30pm if you don't fancy eating in the main restaurant. The bar staff were excellent. After a couple of days they remembered our drinks without prompting . There's a snack bar at the bar area that is open for the same amount of hours as the bar, which means if you get peckish, at say 11pm, you can get something. TIP: If you arrive between 9:30pm and 12am go to the snack bar if your hungry, something we weren't told about on our first night. The entertainment staff were very friendly. Entertainment at night was usually good, few times not so. No entertainment on Thursday's to give staff time off. If at any point during your stay you wish to eat out I can highly recommend Sartaj Indian and Asian restaurant . Its approximately a 30 min walk from the hotel, past shops and bars but well work it. The food is excellent. Book the bus at reception for trip into Old town. Well worth the visit. And that brings us to check-out. Check-out is at 11am. You may be able to keep your room for an additional €7 per hour. We unfortunately were not able to but they did find us another room. Which turned out to be a superior one with big wardrobe, a walk-in shower and a balcony door that opened. If you can book this type. If your not so fussy the standard room should be fine. Overall. We've had a great 2 weeks . And who knows. We may return
• Kellylouisegibson (8/5): Lovely 3 night stay - Stayed here for 3 night Sept 2025 with 2 of my girly friends. The hotel was nice. We did get put in a family room which was fine for us. I know the other room in parts of the hotel are more modern but our room had everything we needed. We had a balcony that looked onto the pool and sea abit far away but we were that busy with our stay we didn't use the balcony anyway. Room had a hairdryer and fresh towels. Didn't go in the pool only the ocean as there were no beds round the pool. Food was good always very busy in restaurant. The cocktails wernt the best cheap watered down but it's to be expected in an all inclusive. I don't usually do all inclusive for that reason. Animation team were all lovely aswell as the cleaners and reception staff. We used the bus at the hotel for 7 euro to get into Rhodes town which was great as abit more comfortable than public bus. Would reccomend visiting the water park in Falaraki and also doing the high speed boat trip to Symi island it's absolutely beautiful 😍
• B78FWjoannec (6/5): Get a room in new block - It was just ok. There weren’t many beds by pool but loads on beach. Beach was stony but I actually didn’t mind that as you didn’t get sand everywhere. Food not bad. Bit repetitive but you expect that at all inclusive. Salads were good. Beer wasn’t very good according to my husband. Entertainment was a bit naff. The reason it only got 3 stars from me was the room. We arrived really late and tired and unpacked and went straight to bed. When I looked at view in morning it was awful. I know I didn’t pay for a sea view but we couldn’t ever sit on balcony (see pics). No I didn’t complain. I didn’t like to make a fuss but after a few days I thought better of it and complained to Jet 2. But apparently because I hadn’t complained to the front desk they couldn’t do anything. After talking to various people they all said the same thing - make sure you get a room in new bit!
• M2076LGsimonp (10/5): Fabulous Holiday , See you in 2026 - Avra Beach resort Hotel is beautiful place for a holiday and if I could rate it 5* plus I would. Its so good and we had such a lovely time, we booked to go back in 2026 within 10 hours of landing back in UK. We had to travel here with my partner in an arm cast due to her broken arm and the staff and hotel could not have been more caring and accommodating to any request. We were given a ground floor modern room in a good location to access everything. Reception/admin staff arranged a chair in shower for my partner, an extra chair in room, new pillows and also put Happy Birthday items in too for me. The food was lovely, the main restaurant served a wide variety of fresh food 3 times a day, the snack bar offered a really good selection early morning until midnight and the Italian/Greek opened daily with amazing food too. a plentiful selection of soft and alcoholic drinks meant you were never thirsty or short of what to drink. We thoroughly enjoyed the food here and the opening times of restaurants and the bar surpassed other hotels we have been previously. All staff in the restaurants were very friendly and helpful as were the bar staff. The reception staff were a great help and source of advice. A big shout out to the entertainment team managing both daytime activities with aqua gym, darts, water polo and hosting evening entertainment with the mini discos, bingo and the actual shows being far and above what we have seen at any other hotel we have been. They are a great team and go above and beyond. An extra special shout out and mention to "Bee" and "Boogie" both of them are exceptional people who made sure they got to know everyone , they made everyone's holiday that extra bit special. They were so friendly and happy which rubbed off on you and they would offer a chat or general advice every day to all guests. More people joined in activities due to them, they are a credit to Avra Beach hotel. Every day there was spare sun loungers, almost unheard of in many locations. If you slept in there would still be some available. The comfy ones on the beach went earlier but still plenty down there to enjoy the beach and sea. Beach is pebbly so water shoes advised to go down to sea, once in it becomes sandy. For my partner, this was the first place we've been to where she was not plagued by mosquitos, not a single bite. The booking of express bus to Rhodes town and other trips in reception area could not be easier and the on site mini mart carried a stock of all essentials. We also loved the option of extending the room beyond check out time as we had a late flight, extra cost but so worth it. 5/5 Thank you Avra Beach, see you next year.

• LollyBecks (10/5): 3rd visit and certainly not our last! - We had yet another amazing holiday with Avra Beach in early September for 10 days. This was our third holiday at Avra and we will return again! The 1st time we came as a couple, the 2nd time fir our honeymoon and 3rd time with our little girl. On arrival seeing familiar staff was great and one of the catering managers arranged for a bottle of wine and fruit in our room which was a nice gesture. The hotel is such a beautiful resort and set in a beautiful setting. We upgraded to a sea view room and our view was just stunning. The animation team were fabulous and Freya absolutely loved joining in with them every day. She joined in the club dance every day on the bridge without fail and the aqua gym every day. So huge thanks to Sam, Lia, Bee, Boogie, Tibi and Glyzgaria (sorry for the spelling!) She just felt a bit lost on their day off which is on a Thursday. The entertainment was very good and definitely got the guests on the dance floor. The food was ok and a good variety was included in the buffet food in the main restaurant. The food at the smaller restaurant was also good and the gyros were very tasty. One thing I was a bit disappointed with was they have stopped serving pizza in the evening at the snack bar which was always a good addition and for after a few cocktails, helped tame the hunger pangs! One downside was the day we checked out we paid for a late checkout with our travel company and with having a 3 year old we wasn’t out the room quite on time by a few minutes and at 6:05 they was calling the room asking us to leave but in a rude manner, some of the cleaning staff and the lady on reception was also rude to us which I believe to be the one that other reviews has mentioned as being rude. But that being said it has not stopped us from wanting to book to come back again and we will definitely be coming back for our fourth visit.
• Scotty2323 (10/5): Young couple, mid September, 1 week all inclusive holiday. - We went the middle of September for 1 week as a couple so the weather was beautiful and the hotel is a great spot to choose. With it being after peak season it was not too busy but not quiet either, we didn’t struggle for sun beds or seats anywhere. The beach is peaceful away from the pool if preferred but we liked the liveliness around the pool. Good location and easy bus service to Rhodes Town and also well priced. The Animation Team are a big plus to this hotel and they make sure everyone is having a good time. The activities are optional throughout the day and break the day up with some quick fun. All of the team take their time to speak with you and ask how you are doing, Boogie and Bee were especially good at getting to know us personally which made us feel welcome. Sam does a great job leading them all and he also takes time out of his day to chat with you. Tibi and Lia were always friendly with us as well, they all do a great job of getting around everyone! The food and drink is just standard all inclusive stuff, nothing really stood out in the main restaurant. The Greek/Italian outside restaurant is the best place to eat for lunch. The beer was fine but the cocktails were all too sweet, need less fruit juices in them. The only real downside was the room as we were in the old part of the hotel (this was the only room we could book) but it was okay for what we needed, just would’ve been more of a 4 star experience if the shower, bathroom and room in general was more ‘modern’. A couple of staff were a bit miserable but we don’t let things like that define our experience if it’s only a couple of them. Pros: - Location - Animation team - Greek/Italian restaurant - Entertainment at night Cons: - Out dated room in the older part of the hotel, especially the shower and decor (I think these are being updated over time). Apparently the newer rooms are nice but we didn’t have the option to book one of those. - A couple of the staff are a bit miserable, the bartender at the main bar with the dark hair always wearing a shirt is one of them. I only asked him what the name of the beer is and he said “a local one” so I guessed a local one and he said “no that’s not local”, just a simple answer was needed as I was curious to what it was called. The lifeguard on shift is a bit miserable and snappy as well, I understand he has a job to keep people safe but he could be more polite about it. The snack bar staff aren’t the happiest either. Everyone else is great though! We would certainly recommend this hotel to groups of all ages and sizes and we would return (hopefully with a newer room).

Food was great, always something to choose from at each mealtime and the Greek/Italian restaurants through the day are a brilliant choice for lunch. All staff were very welcoming and friendly and made our stay great, Boogie, Sam, Tibi, Bee and the other animation staff are fantastic, bags of energy and go above and beyond to ensure guests have a great time. Would thoroughly recommend Avra Beach Resort for a holiday.
• U697OFmarkk (6/5): Good hotel for families - We stayed here at the end of August beginning of September to celebrate my retirement. This hotel is definitely a family hotel and is alot of fun for family groups. I have broken the main review points into Pros and Cons: Pros Very helpful staff especially in the dining areas. Excellent food with a wide choice and all very well labelled. Entertainment was provided every day and evening if people wanted to join in but there was no pressure. The location is great especially if you prefer the beach to the pool. Rooms were spotless and cleaned every day. The shuttle bus service to Rhodes old town was brilliant and reasonably priced. The shop was well stocked and the staff were very helpful Cons: By far the biggest problem was the sunbed situation. Half the beds were good quality with cushions, a table and parasol. The other half were old nylon beds and many were split or had broken frames. In the hotel the policy was no reserving beds before 8.30 or towels would be removed. This meant a race for the comfortable beds at 7.30 and guests sleeping on beds until 8.30 when they could safely go to breakfast. It also caused arguments amongst guests. This does not make a relaxing holiday. There should be enough beds for all guests of the same standard and this would remove this issue. I have seen other reviews also mention this. We paid for a superior room with a sea view. I would say the room was standard and whilst we could see the sea our view was a derelict shopping mall and the bins. Cocktail list was extensive but not particularly good quality. There was a huge amount plastic used with cups, straws and packaging and no recycling bins, not the best for the environment.

We stayed in the old part of hotel it does need updating but was good enough for how long we spend in room.Food was good plenty to choose from I liked the snack bar and the Greek restaurant the gyros were delicious. The beach is lovely but you do need beach shoes to get in the sea it’s very slippery on the stones it’s ok was you reach the sand in the sea . Entertainment team are spot on so friendly and always had time to chat . Was a bit disappointed that they don’t have a courtesy room .Most staff are friendly but watch out for the man who carves the meat he could do with upgrading his people skills we loved George one of the waiters .Yes I would stay here again but upgrade to the new part of hotel..

• Departure42069418951 (10/5): Best Holliday - This is our second time at Avra Beach, and this year the entertainment has definitely been much better than last year. Every evening there are different shows, and during the day there are several activities where you can enjoy yourself and have fun. My personal favourite is darts, although my husband prefers water gym, while I am more the type who enjoys being on the beach sunbathing. The food is of very good quality, and the reception team is extremely friendly and helpful. The location is convenient, as there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel which takes you directly to the city centre. We have truly had an incredible holiday. We would like to give special thanks to the entertainment team who made everything so much better: Boogie, Tibi, Sam, and especially Lia, the young lady who plays the piano and sings beautifully. She always greeted us with a smile and taught us a few words in Spanish. Overall, our sincere thanks to the entire Avra Beach team. Without a doubt, we will return next year. Best regards!

Staff so friendly, animation team work so hard, Sam, Boogie, Tipi, Bee, Lia and Gywana (sorry thats not spelt correct). All work so hard and amazing with the kids and with entertaining everybody. Hotel is so clean kept spotless. Food good - great choices. All inclusive drinks so much better than other all inclusive I have stayed at. We will be back again.

We stayed in an upgraded room which was extremely clean and comfortable, the rooms were cleaned daily and were spotless. The hotel has its own beach with plenty of sun beds available everyday. We never struggled to get one at all. The sea was so warm! The food has been really good and there is a really good variety available all day including snacks and ice cream. The staff here have been amazing! The wonderful night manager on reception, the bar staff, restaurant staff, they are so kind and helpful. Big shout out to George at the pool bar, he was so lovely and we really enjoyed chatting to you. The animation team really made our holiday! They were fabulous! Thank you so much to you all! Great balcony overlooking the sea and pool, with comfy chairs. Everywhere was spotless, staff were friendly, polite and helpful. We enjoyed the food and found plenty to choose from. The evening entertainment was excellent. All the entertainment team were enthusiastic and fun. Sam was great at the aquagym and it was very enjoyable. Bee was helpful and chatted daily, making us feel special. A week has not been long enough!

We Got one of the older rooms, and they lacked alot compared to the New ones. We had roaches, ants, and the room generally was in very bad condition. Only 2 plugs to change phones, iPads and so. We would definately come back, if we knew we would get the renovated rooms.

• LeahMayyyy (10/5): First Visit - First time we have been here and been to Rhodes, will 100% be coming back. The only problem we had was the room wasn’t accessible for my disabled partner, we asked at reception for a room change which they happily helped me with. The room was a lot better. The pool was clean and tidy with a lot of chairs for people who couldn’t get a sun bed. The staff are lovely and helpful which really helped me on my holiday. A special mention must go to Sam, boggie and bee who made sure my partner felt comfortable and made sure he was involved with what was going on. Sam, boggie and bee especially made sure to speak to him every night and during the day time too. They definitely made both of our holiday, which makes us want to come back again to see them. I can’t fault the hotel at all. Rhodes is a lovely place. The hotel is in the best place as you don’t have to go far for the beach . Can’t wait for our next visit , hopefully it’s not too long . • linzih865 (8/5): 10 days at Avra Beach - Avra beach is a really great hotel and I would recommend to others. The backdrop to the beach is stunning, the modern rooms are great and spacious and the animation team are fantastic. A special mention to Tibi, Sam and Boogie, they made our trip! The staff for the most part were very friendly and overall the hotel was spotless. I would say however our room could have been slightly cleaner. I did notice that our floor was rarely cleaned and I don’t think our bedsheets were changed for the duration of our stay. We also didn’t get more hand soap when ours ran out for the rest of our stay - I did not complain about this though so just a mention, I’m sure they would have if we asked reception. The food was lovely, good variety but the snack bar was by far our favourite. The drink selection was great too, Nikos the bartender is very friendly. The hotel is in a great location, on the beach and a 5 minute walk to some great bars. There’s also a shuttle from the hotel to Rhodes town for a small fee but cheaper than a taxi so very useful. All in all, I loved every minute of our holiday, very sad to be home and I would return back next year for the right price.
• 424kirstieh (10/5): Amazing stay at Avra beach once again! - This was our 4th visit to Avra beach, and as usual it did not disappoint. We were here for our wedding anniversary after spending 2023 here for our honeymoon. First of all the cleanliness of the hotel is 5* the cleaners are constantly cleaning and always with a smile too! The all inclusive drinks are fab with lots to choose from, you can also buy premium cocktails too, the strawberry daiquiri was mine & my husband’s personal favourite. The food was absolutely incredible with theme nights every night, lots to choose from & there was always something for my fussy child. Now onto the staff, they hold a special place in my heart, they are honestly some of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure to come across. Always checking that we were ok. Special mention to, Helena, Sam, boogie, Bee and Anastasia, although everyone is friendly these were our favourites, Sam was definitely our daughters favourite always coming over to give her a high five and to just generally check she was having a good time. All in all a perfect week away from home & we will definitely be back for our 5th stay in 2026. Thank you to, Sam, Anastasia boogie, Helena, Bee & the rest of the staff at Avra beach for making our family holiday one to remember! See you all next year!
• nat_b_1209 (10/5): Great stay, will be returning - We have just returned from a week at this hotel. Our main reason for the holiday was my husbands birthday, I had emailed ahead of our stay and the staff had decorated our room on arrival this was a lovely touch, I would really be struggling to pick any faults with our stay here, initially the lack of kettle in the room bothered me but our room was located across from snack bar and we discovered we could go here in the morning and get our coffee. There is a lack of sunbeds round the pool like previous reviews have stated but there are plenty on the beach, the beauty of this hotel is you can bathe on the beach and still dip in and out of the pool. The entertainment team are amazing, so friendly and create a great atmosphere round the pool. We loved our stay here so much we booked to return next year before we had even checked out (we have never done that with any other hotel). Can’t wait to come back next year.

Visited previously and requested a ‘bungalow’ room and this was allocated Arrived late and as in other comments the late staff could do with a few lessons on welcoming guests. Our room was perfect except nowhere to hang towels in the shower room, so ended up needing fresh every day as they had to go on the floor. Daytime around pool busy but plenty room for everyone. Entertainment staff so enthusiastic and welcoming, especially Bee and Boogie. Programme was a little repetitive but guessing the staff know what the majority like. Bar staff also lovely, happy to chat and choice of drinks pretty good. Do wonder about the single use plastics though? Not many hotels still using these. Good choice was fair. A bit repetitive again but always something and was kept fresh. Waiting staff very attentive too. Snack bar and second restaurant really good as alternatives and big selection there too. Overall we had a great holiday, in a very lovely setting with great service overall.
• rachelle057 (6/5): Negatives and positives - I will begin with the negatives — 📍the woman on the reception desk with the long blonde hair is so rude! Rolled her eyes when she was asked a question. Never greets guests nicely or with a smile & is very ignorant, ignored me and others several times when asked a question. (Several guests noticed this also) very off putting, maybe she would be better suited in another role and she dsnt seem to like her job. However the lady with brown hair is so helpful, polite and very friendly.the complete opposite of the blonde one. 📍 the young girl working the snack bar on thurs 4th sept evening displayed the worst customer service I’ve witnessed, tutting , scoffing and rolling her eyes when anyone requested food! Other guests also commented on how bad the service was. I asked for 2 apple pies please and they were literally thrown into the tray, slammed on the counter as she gave a dirty look then walked away before I had the chance to order anything else. This was my first encounter with this girl so it’s not like I done anything to offend her. Horrible customer service again that really puts people of returning to this hotel. 📍- tues 9th sept evening in the restaurant the man cutting the meat at the end was very rude and abrupt. Shouting and banging on the counter. These staff give the hotel a very poor reputation and stop customers returning. Which is a shame, nobody wants to go on holiday and be treating like an inconvenience. Hopefully this review will reach the owners and can be dealt with accordingly. 📍 if you are unlucky enough to get a room in the old section then consider upgrading. I will attach pic but luckily we only had this room for 1 day until our pick up arrived. 📍- beds are extremely uncomfortable and all just single beds pushed together for a double. 📍- shop in hotel - again very rude “lady” when I asked for change of 10€ for my child to play machines she shouted NO EURO, I said ok I will buy something and could you give me the change in euro coins please for machine? She again shouted NO EURO NO ✅ - entertainment staff carry this hotel along with its location and cleaning staff. ✅- Superior rooms are nice, with a lovely view of pool & beach ✅- Food is good. Repetative with spag bol on all day everyday but that’s to be expected with most all inclusive hotels. ✅- location is good if you plan on spending your holiday in the hotel. Taxis are 20euro return to get into town but your right on the beach so can’t have it all right.. All in all I would not return to this hotel solely because of the rude staff that made us feel very uncomfortable. Several family’s we spoke to at the hotel also said the same which is disappointing as the hotel itself apart from the “old” section is lovely.
• Tourist29828148493 (10/5): Great time! - Just returned after a week at Avra beach resort. Two things that very very slightly let it down were the sunbeds by the pool - there wasn’t enough! But they can only work with what they’ve got and it’s not a huge pool area. Having said that, there’s lots of chairs beside the pool and on the beach which is close to both bars so it was fine. Our rooms were great! The cleaners were absolutely wonderful and adored our baby. The food does get repetitive - it always does with an all inclusive wherever you go honestly but we find it great for the kids and there’s snacks served at all times of the day so that’s a massive bonus for when the kids get hungry. Entertainment is great! Boogie, Sam, Bee and the mini club lady (didn’t catch her name) were all fantastic! Had a great laugh with them all. The waiters were attentive and kind and Elton in particular was great! Our baby absolutely loved him!! We usually go for smaller resorts so it was a little too busy for us at meal times but it all ran very smoothly. Thank you to the restaurant staff who organised birthday decorations and cake for our daughter’s birthday! It was lovely and perfect for our last evening. All in all, we had a good time and would consider returning again when we come back to Rhodes.
• V7927UYsandrar (8/5): Good family hotel - Just returned home after a week at this hotel. I found the night staff to be most unwelcoming, the only thing available to drink was water from a cooler. There was no assistance with luggage to our room, despite the fact that we are elderly ladies. Our room was in need of a makeover, we couldn't open the fridge door properly because the bed was so close, the wardrobe had the same problem. We had to stand up if one of us wanted to pass the other when seated at the dressing table. There was no colour in the room, it was very clinical. The beds were very comfortable though. The hotel was very clean. The entertainment saved the week for us. They have an amazing entertainment team. The evening shows were very good, and during the day they entertained us with dancing on the bridge. They spoke to everyone and made us laugh all the time. Boogie was an amazing dancer and was a lovely guy to talk too. It's a good family hotel but I wouldn't recommend it for couples or older people looking for a quiet holiday.
• laurenbJ4659WH (8/5): Lovely hotel with a nice atmosphere. Food options could be improved. - We have just arrived back from Avra beach resort, and overall had a really good time. We had a superior family room which was modern and clean, and had a great view of the pool and bar area. The balcony area was large and had a 4 seater table and chairs which was nice to relax of an evening. The pool was lovely and always had a nice vibe to it, with families generally just enjoying themselves and making their own entertainment. The beach is a pebble beach which requires beach shoes. The sea is choppy and as such we didn't venture in a great deal (preferring to do this on the other side of the island where the sea is calm and crystal clear). Sunbed wars is real here and if you want one around the pool you need to be getting up early to secure your spot and remain steadfast until after 8.30am otherwise your towels are removed. The food for us was abit of a let down. Whilst we enjoyed being able to grab snacks from the pool bar and the beach restaurant, this is generally the same every day. Equally, whilst they have a different theme in the main restaurant each evening, we felt the selection was poor with both sides offering the same food and we opted to eat out on 4 of our 8 night stay for this reason. The staff were great, friendly and helpful and the entertainment team work their socks off to try and ensure everyone is having a good time. I cannot knock them for this, but for us, it did feel a little bit Butlins like at times. The kids club is lovely for younger children (i would say 9 and under) and my daughter (9) enjoyed taking herself off there to do crafts etc. Parents can decide whether their child is to be collected or can come and go as they please. My son, however, is almost 13 and aside from football there was very little for him to do in a collective sense and as such he was, at times a little bored (and unwilling to approach other young people to "hang out" with). Overall, we enjoyed our stay. We did hire a car for 3 days which meant we could explore Rhodes independently and im not sure if I could have coped remaining at the resort day in, day out for the duration of our stay. However, I appreciate that others may enjoy that. Ixia itself has some lovely restaurants within walking distance of the hotel and taxis into rhodes are a set price of 15 euros for 4 people which we felt was reasonable (and only slightly more than the bus).
• ClareC1534 (10/5): Amazing hotel - Lovely hotel beach location. You can sit round the pool or enjoy the beach. Plenty of sunbeds too. Food was great I have gluten and dairy intolerances and everything was marked up so I knew exactly what I could and couldn’t have. Room was basic but clean could do with a chair and a rail to hang your towels in the bathroom but that’s my only issue. Staff were all lovely and friendly too always happy to help. The entertainment team were 5* always made an effort to speak to you and the timetable of activities were great. Night time entertainment was great too especially the beach party! I would definitely recommend this hotel it’s great for families and couples. A really great holiday!!
• Hickyboy (10/5): Amazing holiday. Can't wait to go back. - Wow, what a hotel. This did not disappoint us at all. Its my first time to Greece as a whole, so was a little Apprehensive, but when we arrived, in the night which was a short drive from the airport I was very pleased indeed. The pool, food, staff, entertainment staff even the cleaners and workers around the hotel were so lovely. Im an early waker so was on my lounger for 7am on the beach every morning. The sunrise and sunsets were outstanding too. It is a little breezy on the beach but was most welcoming from the heat. Entertainment was amazing through the day. The main ones being Sam, Boogie, tibi, and Bee. Boogie is Nutts. He is amazing fun and makes the place in my opinion. Snack bar, and bars all have great drinks and food and the main food hall for breakfast, dinner and evening meals are amazing. And run very well indeed. We had a sea view room which was outstanding, cleaned everyday with clean towels. The towels supplied for the loungers we changed every other day which meant we didn't need to take any with us meaning more weight availability in our cases. This Hotel is amazing, and I would strongly suggest if you fancy a good family fun, clean, well kept and exciting hotel look no further. We booked with Jet2 and can't wait to go back in 2026.
• Freestyler78 (10/5): Sun, Sea, and See-Through Toilet Doors – A Wildly Memorable Stay at Avra Beach! 🌞🍹 - Just got back from Avra Beach Hotel in Rhodes and wow – what a ride! If you're looking for a holiday that combines stunning sea views, endless food, and a bit of toilet-based vulnerability, this is the place for you. Room: We stayed in a sea view family room – and yes, the view is like a chef’s kiss. Waking up to the Aegean glistening in front of you is pure bliss. The room had great space, but could do with a long mirror (unless you enjoy guessing what your legs look like) and maybe a bit of storage in the kids’ separate room – unless you want their stuff to migrate into yours like a slow-moving toy invasion. Bathroom: Now, let’s talk about the glass toilet doors. Transparent. Not frosted. Not tinted. Just full-on “hello, I’m doing a sit-down jobbie” visibility. It’s the same in the public loos too. Privacy? Never heard of her. Entertainment: If you’re planning on early nights, forget it. The entertainment is LOUD. Like, “is that a concert in my hallway?” loud. But honestly, it’s brilliant. You’ll end up staying up, dancing along, and loving every minute. Shoutout to Bogdan (aka Bogie) – the man’s a legend. The whole entertainment team wear wigs, bounce around like caffeinated kangaroos, and somehow still have energy to chat with everyone. Water aerobics guy? Also ace. Food & Drink: Buffet restaurant = food heaven. Salads, soups, fries, pastas, themed nights (Mexican, Greek, Italian, etc.), fresh fish and meats, and desserts that could start a cult. Snack bars? Oh yes. Open 11:30–5:30pm, serving gyros, burgers, pizzas, pork kebabs on sticks – basically, if you’re not full, it’s your fault. Pool bars serve cocktails galore, fizzy drinks, and water for the kids (and the adults pretending to be responsible). Sunbeds: Ah, the great sunbed saga. Not many by the pool, more on gravel areas, and loads on the beach. BUT – if you try the classic “towel reserve and disappear for 6 hours” move, beware! Staff will collect your towels and pile them up like a lost property mountain. Watching people hunt for their towels like confused meerkats is a holiday highlight. Moral of the story: use the sunbed or lose the sunbed. Don’t be a holiday plonker. Beach & Watersports: Beach is gravelly and rocky at first, then turns to soft sand about 10 feet in. Water is crystal clear and perfect for Insta-worthy shots. Watersports centre next door offers jet skis, paragliding, etc. – pricey but worth it for the adrenaline and bragging rights. Trips: Lindos and Julian Bay – stunning. Ask reception for a private trip to avoid the coach crowd. Marmaris day trip – great for shopping, but beware the catamaran. Choppy seas = sick bags in action. If you get seasick, maybe skip this one unless you enjoy bonding with strangers over shared nausea. Rhodes Town (old and new) - absolutely amazing charm and great for people watching at night. where history meets modern-day shopping with sweet treats and fantastic restaurants offering great views. Sunsets: Unreal. Like nature’s way of saying “you’re welcome.” Spa: Didn’t use it, but it looked fancy enough to make you feel guilty for not going. Would I go back? Absolutely. In a heartbeat. Just maybe with a portable curtain for the bathroom. Score: 9/10 – would recommend, especially if you’re not shy!

• matthB2217GG (6/5): Good & Bad - You can decide if its for you - A very interesting hotel which is difficult to review as it has both positives and negatives. I'll start with the negatives so we can end positively. ROOMS: If you're going at a busy time and get one of the old rooms, good luck. Although clean they're very outdated. We couldn't get into the fridge as the bed was too close to be able to open the door, there's not even a kettle so if you're an early riser there's no option to make a tea or coffee, and they don't seem to have been updated for about 20 years. The bathroom wasn't great. Some of the ceiling wasn't attached properly, one of the lights didn't work and the toilet seat wasn't attached correctly. SUN BEDS: There's NOWHERE NEAR enough sun beds. Not even close. Even worse, there's probably only 30 around the pool, which are all taken by about 7am. This means if you aren't down by the beach getting sun beds by around 8.45am you'll spend the entire day with all your gear at a little table and chairs somewhere - far from ideal and not comfortable at all. This also means that if you or your kids prefer the pool over the sea, you have to leave all your items well out of sight when you go to the pool. POOL: May have been due to it being August but the pool is VERY busy so there's no chance of swimming. You just have to get in and do what you can in your small space. By the way, you can only change your pool towels twice a week and you have a 1 hour slot to do it in. Onto the positives. FOOD & DRINK - probably the best I've had at an all inclusive. Lots of choice for food and the drinks don't seem to be watered down like at some resorts. We liked the Greek/Italian "beach" restaurant at lunch time as they always had a good mix of options (Gyros, burgers, salads, pizza etc...) STAFF - The staff are all hard working and pleasant. Nikos in the main bar was always up for a laugh and full of personality. ENTERTAINMENT - The kids disco was great for the little ones and we enjoyed the evening entertainment - ALTHOUGH, Bingo shouldn't take place in the "prime time" slot twice a week - always makes it awkward for those not wanting to pay 10 euros to play. LOCATION - The beach, although not sandy, is lovely and the views around the bay are great, especially in the evening where the sunsets are lovely. You can get the hotel shuttle service into Rhodes old town (7 euros each) and it's also a nice base for lots of other trips. TIPS - If you do go, you may notice that the pool/beach bar always has a large queue, yet the pool side half of the main bar never does... despite it only being 30 yards away. It amazed me all week that people seemed to rather queue for 10 mins than walk for an extra 10 seconds.
• 686rios (10/5): Fantastic experience at Avra Beach! - * Food was amazing, lots of choice and the snack bar was great if the children just wanted a small bite while around the pool/beach * * The hotel is on the beach which is very convenient, whereas other hotels in the area you had to cross a busy road * * Hotel reps are fantastic, made our holiday extra special, especially for our children * * Entertainment was amazing too! * * Kids club and mini disco was super cute * * Standard room was basic but cleaned everyday. We have said we would upgrade if we came again * * Beds weren't the comfiest but everything else like the reps, Entertainment and food etc made up for this * * A nice touch could be to give people a big bottle of water after their flight and then they can top it up at the reception if they choose as there's a water canister machine there. This could be part of the re-use scheme like they do with the towels and plastic cups * * People seemed upset about the loungers after talking to people as you can't reserve them before 8am but this was fine for me as I would get out for a run and then would get a couple and sit by them until 8.15am. Maybe the hotel just needs more loungers * * In terms of outside the hotel, there are a few bars and restaurants but not much to do. However, Rhodes is only a 15 minute drive away and Lindos around an hour away. All trips can be arranged with the hotel by reception * * Overall we have had a fantastic experience and we would like to thank everyone at Avra Beach. We would like to come again next year and are already looking into this! *

They are friendly and go above and beyond to make sure you have a wonderful holiday. Our family have never been disappointed with rooms, food, drinks or service and the whole resort is exceptionally clean. We all loved the two weeks we stayed at Avra Beach and will definitely be going again! Thank you to all for making our holiday this year so good.
• 511nikalas (4/5): Not good - I booked a standard room for me my husband and 14yr old daughter, the room we was given was no where near a 4 star hotel room, it was tiny with 3 single beds which you could just about walk around them, it looked like they had squashed the 3rd bed in, it was old fashioned with a bath and shower hose with mould on the ceiling. We looked at each other in disbelief and said we can’t stay here, the lady at reception was lovely and she gave us a family room, the family room had more space and was closer to the pool, but the beds were very hard no comfort at all, I didn’t get any sleep for 5 nights, as my hips were killing me, I even put 2 duvets to make it softer which didn’t make any difference as they were summer duvet with no padding. Some of staff were rude, especially the lifeguard which made me feel uncomfortable for the whole of my stay, On the 5th day I cried a said I just want to go home I’m exhausted. My husband complained an we were moved into a newly renovated room which was luxury, if your booking or booked to stay here make sure you pay the extra for a luxury room otherwise you will be highly disappointed, we paid £4000 for a week in a a standard room and it was awful, they don’t advertise the bad parts! On tik tok It looks like there are lots of events eg- cocktail event/ putting toppings on doughnuts/ chocolate fountain/ ice coffee event/ on every day which is not true, they only had one event which was a milkshake event which was strawberry or banana which you just go up and collect it, only 1 event per week! And no entertainment on a Thursday! Which they also don’t mention. 😡

The 7 entertainment team members made our little girls & our holiday amazing & special , they all could t do enough for us my little girl loved the kids club & the 2 girls were brilliant with her, we loved doing the pool exercises every morning , my partner joined in with pool volley ball & i loved the bingo was amazing prizes on every line ( even if i didn’t win ) all 7 entertainers made holiday & could not do enough for us always smiling friendly & made us feel so welcome the sun set on the beach is picture perfect fantastic holiday thank you all at the A at beach hotel see you next year was from the cook family
• C5541UMpeterm (10/5): The best ever - This is our second time in Rhodes, Avra beach hotel is superb. The location, staff and food was fantastic. The entertainment ( Sam,bogan,bee,tibi and the rest) is second to none. All in all one the best holidays ever, made more so because of the staff.
• heylam2024 (10/5): Best family holiday - We are a family of 4 we stayed 10 days in this hotel, our best holiday. The location was very convenient you have the bus right in front that takes you to the center. The food was of very good quality, sometimes the wait was long to enter the restaurant but it was worth it, very good variety. my children and husbnd really enjoy. The animation team was amazing , my boy enjoy all the activities, his fav was darts. All the team work all day very hard , they are always kind and greet you with a smile. I want to give a special mention to the entire hotel team in general , especially Sam, Lia , boogie , they are the best guys. Thank’s Avra beach we will be back next year for sure. • 25RobertS25 (4/5): Would not go back to this hotel if they offered it for free!! - Rude staff i.e lifeguard and the lady with the cap on in the snack bar, the life guard ran after me around the pool calling me a thief as I took one of the left inflatables by guests that had gone home he was shouting at me causing a scene infront of other guests which really didn’t need to happen made my family uncomfortable each day after around the pool, these inflatables where outside my room, also the lady in the snack was rude insulting me saying that I couldn’t read, as I only asked her if an item on the counter was a pain au chocolate. Rooms awful, we was given room 108, we paid 4k for 3 of us and to be given this room, it was like being in the 70’s I walked straight and and Kyriaki was very helpful and gave us a family room still very old with bullet holes in the door and mattress was about 6 inches think with springs coming out of it, rust all in the bath room. My wife was very upset and wanted to go home as she had no sleep for 5 days, I went to speak to Kyriaki who was very helpful and moved us to a modern room, this is what we should of had when we arrived. Staff: the entertainment in the day doesn’t change, there are no prizes or certificates for winners,one day one of the entertainers got us to play in a table tennis comp, we got to the semi finals he looked at his watch and said sorry guys it’s 5pm it’s home time and just left us all standing there and he went home!!! Also all the entertainment staff do is try selling you t shirts and bingo tickets during the day after speaking to the entertainer about this I was told that they split all the money they get so instead of actually entertaining they are actually trying to earn money from you. Social media plays a big part in making this hotel look good, we was so excited before we come they promote cocktail afternoons, doughnut afternoons, milkshake afternoons dancers and singers in the afternoon we had nothing! Also I reserved one of the nice beds on the beach, I was there at 6am I stayed with my beds until 10:30, I went to have a coffee and a bit of lunch and when I came back my towels where removed by a young hotel worker and 3 French people had asked for this to happen, these where my own towels and the towels where lost and know one in the hotel knew where they was!!! I would not return to this hotel even if you gave me it for free!
