Sian (10/5): Not just a hotel, a true place of respite, peace and quiet! - This was an overnight stay because of life-circumstances but it turned into a little oasis of time and space I never realised I needed! I found the property very easily using a standard satnav. There was enough parking. And upon my arrival, I was made very welcome by the reception staff member, Lucy, as we waited to be checked in. The main welcome room was so beautiful and must date back many years. Lots of window seats and pictures to look at, and the necessary computer was to one side, unobtrusive when the room had so much character. There was very little to dislike. I had hoped the library would have been opened longer. I arrived after it shut and had to leave before it opened the next day. I would have loved some time in there. I wouldn’t have taken out and books or anything, I’d just liked to have had a chance to look round!

Being constructive criticism, over priced, rooms smaller than you think on the app, shower cold, having on en-suite without a door between bed and bathrooms..for the price wasn’t good. No bottle water in the room…..Breakfast was ok.

A broken spring in the bed led to an un - The location was good, city centre and next to the cathedral. Bed had springs sticking out. Dust all over the furniture/clogging the extractor fans. Spider webs everywhere, room facing an outdoor extractor fan. Reception staff wasn’t present due to a party being hosted in the reception. Did not feel welcome at all.

Breakfast was included and it was excellent - full English as well as cereals, pastries, yogurts, and fruit. The room was comfortable and quiet. The absence of a TV in the room didn't bother us at all, since we prefer reading a good book to watching TV. Nothing.

Noen vil savne tv på rommet, det betyr lite for oss. Badet kunne gjerne vært litt større, men det dekket behovet. .

We were 5 retired ladies from Switzerland. We each had our own room, perfect! We ate at Côte Brasserie, very good. Also Wild Wood, good food and attentive service. We the Salibury, the cathedral, Stonehenge and Bath. Liked everything.

teresa (10/5): So wonderful to stay next to the Cathedral and in a comfortable spacious room and bathroom with a view - Excellent location right beside the the Salisbury Cathedral excellent views of the cathedral and the sunset through the windows and large room with historical fittings and furniture. The principal of the college spoke with us and made the experience more memorable. Breakfast was good and parking right outside the door which we hadn’t realized was helpful. We enjoyed the Evensong just next door at the cathedral and could wander to the high street in Salisbury for dinner easily then walk through the historic gates. Excellent value and wonderful experience. Nothing

Ross (7/5): Good value for money place in Salisbury: Great location, comfortable room and nice breakfast. - It was a great location: situated in the Cathedral Close, it is very central and had a nice "historical" feeling. The rooms were small but were clean, comfortable and functional. The breakfast was also good (porridge and cooked breakfast etc). The College is not at the luxury end of hotels - in terms of facilities/ amenities etc - but the proce should tell you that - it is good VFM particularly relative to the location etc
Tamra (10/5): Amazing location next to Salisbury Cathedral, very peaceful inside Cathedral Close - Simple, clean rooms with a fabulous location across the street from Salisbury Cathedral, inside the Cathedral Close, so it’s very peaceful. The Close gates close at 23:00. Breakfast is in the college refectory, buffet style, with all the traditional delicious English Breakfast options in addition to pastries, fruit, cereal, and more. Staff are friendly and helpful, but this isn’t a hotel. If we needed more instant coffee packets, we went downstairs to ask for them. It’s a theological college, renting some of its basic guest rooms to tourists. In the halls, you pass administrative offices, library, and see professors at breakfast. Such an incredible experience to be next to the cathedral, in an educational setting, and an easy walk to the Market Place and many restaurants. We stayed 3 nights and would definitely book again.

Jane (9/5): Fantastic Unique Accommodation in Salisbury - Such a lovely atmosphere and environment, and exceptional location, and charming staff and facilities. I loved staying here and didnt want to leave! It is unique and comfortable, and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was varied and good: hot drinks, eggs, bacon, sausage, full English etc etc, yogurt, fruit, pastries, cheese, cereal, juice, toast- something for everyone. The rooms are small, and serviceable, but comfortable and have all you need. I felt a little bit like I was staying at Nonnatus House (if you're a Call the Midwife fan you will know what I mean!) which added to the charm. I had a single room with a shared bathroom but never saw another soul so it felt like home. My mother (85 and uses a walker/cane with some mobility issues) was given a very nice accessible room with plenty of space and good equipment for her (auto door, walk in shower etc). She loved it. I highly recommend Sarum College and would certainly stay again. The proximity to the Cathedral and location within the Cathedral Close cannot be beat. Shared bathroom facilities were totally adequate but could use a bit of updating. Loved everything else.

Lynne (8/5): Would go back and would recommend. - the location is really good for access to the city centre and in itself is lovely and also quiet at night. the cathedral is directly opposite Sarum college and that is an added bonus. the room was charming and comfortable. ensuite facilities were good. the breakfast is a self serve buffet with a good range of choices from cooked breakfast to cereals and fruit. it is served in the college refectory which is a bit different to a conventional hotel but don't be at all put off by that. although check out is quite early at 9.30 we were able to leave our car in the college car park until we were ready to leave Salisbury later in the day. we paid extra for a room with a view of the cathedral. it might be helpful if these views were available to preview in a photograph. We were able to see the cathedral from our bedroom but it was only a partial view and not quite what I expected. To be fair, for all I know this may have been the best view available. This is only a tiny criticism in what was overall a very good experience.

SYLVIA (8/5): Peaceful and pleasant. - Breakfast was very varied for every taste. Excellent. The main bedroom light was poor, and a bathroom light came on and off automatically, whether or not one was in the bathroom. Automation gone mad! Also the blinds cords were too high up to grab easily.
