Guest Reviews
- Dorian (10/5): - Ive been going there for 6 yrs and me and my wife enjoy it everytime
- Ivy (6/5): - Staff is rude
- kevin (2/5): - Closed, just a phone # to call, no refund, no notice ahead of time, a text or call would have been nice., luckily found a hotel with vacancy, after looking around, was glad I didn't have to stay there anyway.
- Cindy (10/5): - Simple room but clean. Pool is nice but showing its age. Staff is very friendly.
- David (4/5): - No hot water, had to have someone come in and start boiler for hot water, no coffee maker in room, coffee was suppose to be available in lobby, but the coffee urn was full of cold coffee
- Patricia (10/5): - I was in Wisconsin Dells attending a training conference at Camp Wawbeek. The distance was only 1 mile away. Easy to drive to.
- Louis (10/5): - Great
- Verified traveler (6/5): One night stay - Couldn’t get the fridge to work.
Water pressure in the shower was poor.
Mattress quite hard.
It was adequate for the price for Wisconsin Dells.
- AMY (8/5): - Been going here for the past 3 years. It’s a nice place just off the main strip in the Dells. It has a nice pool area and places to sit outside and bbq. On 4th of July it’s nice to just sit outside your room and watch fireworks, away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Dells. Decor could be updated but it’s clean so that’s what counts.
- Megan (6/5): - We stayed here because it was the least expensive option in the area that night. I really enjoyed the younger girl who was trying to assist us with check in. She was very welcoming and kind. She needed help from the manager, who was quick to respond. The manager, however, seemed irritated and short. She wasn't rude but definitely didn't seem happy to have to deal with us. We got a cabin, which was definitely in need of an update. Cleanliness lacked but was ok, the walls needed a good wash, especially in the bathroom. The tub was also very slow draining, where taking a shower meant you were ankle deep in water. The mattresses were springy and not very comfortable. Location was good, parking and space was a little tight. I felt bad parking on the grass but there wasn't any other option besides blocking the narrow road that lined the fronts of the cabins.
- Jerome (2/5): - Never again
- Robert (10/5): - Good owner and staff.
- Aaron (10/5): - Love the cabins reminded me of home
- Tom (2/5): - Be very careful by saying at this property because in the fine print they advise that they close registration early and no one is available if you get there in the middle of the night to let you in. I have never been to a hotel that does not have a way for its guest to be able to get into the room late at night. The point of going on vacation is being able to enjoy yourself and when you get to your hotel, everything is ready for you no matter what time of night it is. This hotel apparently likes to go to sleep after 7 pm and has no way for any customer to get into their room in the middle of the night. Also, Expedia does not put any critical mesages letting its customers know that this is the case, but instead, they will defend the hotel and force you to pay the money even when you get there in the middle of the night. I have never seen a hotel who won’t take care of its customers but thankfully there was other hotels in the area that were able to take care of me and my wife that night we were celebrating our anniversary!! Service and communication by Expedia and this hotel was terrible!!!!!!
- veronica (10/5): - Clean rooms and very quiet place, stayed there with my grandson cause he enjoys staying in the cabins, and also the outdoor pool
- Ashley (10/5): - Everything was just wonderful..I loved how quiet it was
- Theresa (4/5): - Just a couple bugs crawling on my back while I was a sleep not well isolating can hear ppl on other side the wall like they were in your room
- James (10/5): - Quite neighborhood location.
Clean decent
- Angela (10/5): - 👍
- Erik F. (2/5): - Room Wasn't Available Upon Arrival, Which It Was Booked Days Ahead. Arriving At The Time Suggested To Check In, Not Realizing I Would Be Told To Wait Some More Hours (Not Estimated) For Booked Our Room ???...
- Tim (8/5): - We had a great time here. We gladly come again
- Brent (6/5): - The surrounding area isn't "active". The check-in was easy. The room smells musty. We had to have the air conditioner on all the time. We could tell it's an old motet. The indoor décor seems out of date. But it seems that it has been kept well. Housekeeping on the 2nd day even we didn't ask for/needed it. All towels were replaced. The towels look old but seems clean. We did find a condom package on the floor.... I hope the bedsheet had been washed well. It's a little distance to downtown area. You can either walk or prepare to pay for parking.
- Chester (10/5): - I would have liked hot coffee in the morning.
- Theresa (10/5): Great for the money! - Surprised at how comfortable we were. With the mixed reviews didn’t know what to expect. People were friendly. Old but clean.
- Brandy (4/5): - Unfortunately this property falls short. It’s very outdated and all things look worn out and in need of repair. Especially the pool.
- Kathryn (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay at this property and we will be back !
- Darin (10/5): - excellent
- Anthony (10/5): - The property is old but I like old, classic, nice things.
- Jovansly (8/5): - Good
- Benjamin (10/5): - Great place for the price.
- Benjamin (10/5): - Great place to stay at a great price. Friendly owner.
- Christina (10/5): - Friendly
- Thomas (2/5): - This place was the worst place I ever stayed. The first room smelled like urine and my eyes burned and the second room was mildew smelling and we didn't stay for more then 6 hours and went home. The photos online are not what we stayed in and it was a totally misrepresented online. Coffee was served on a house porch that the owner occupied. The lobby was a fright and everything was filthy disgusting
- Christine (10/5): - This is our families go to motel!! The owners are wonderful people and we always enjoy our stay there! We will always come back here! We will be going back Friday we actually have our own room we get every time we go and we enjoy the pool so much we clean it several times while we are there cause obviously there are trees so leaves are always in the pool and we like to help out my 13 year old son even does it now😀😀😀❤️❤️❤️❤️
- jaydip (2/5): - Good
- David (10/5): - Under the beds was filthy and a lot of bees
- Molly S (4/5): - If you have ASTHMA or KIDS, read this!
The room we stayed in was incredibly musty. I thought running the a/c would help, but it didn't. I don't have asthma, but my lungs hurt after a couple hours. My eyes even stung on occasion. (For what it's worth, our daughter was already asleep by the time I realized just how bad it was going to be, so asking for a different room wasn't an option. Plus, I wasn't hopeful that another room would be different, since the whole place is pretty old.) Overall, I don't mind old stuff, but musty is not okay.
For those with kids: There are no light blocking curtains, so it's very bright in the morning. We had been camping and got a motel so we could get some good sleep, but my daughter woke up with the sun anyway. The a/c also blows the vertical blinds so it lets more light in (not to mention the privacy issues). The hot water is also dangerously hot, so beware for your littles if you stay here. Also, we mainly chose this place because of the outdoor pool, but the pictures online are much more idyllic than reality and play areas, but the pictures online are much more idyllic than reality.
Unrelated to the issues above, the internet was also very in and our (mostly out), which was frustrating.
- Dale (10/5): - The property management was great we were supposed to be in a room on the 2nd floor, but the owner realized I was disabled and changed us to a cabin which was clean and comfortable without a change in our billing. The only thing I was disappointed in was the spa was only at minimum for services. overall, I would stay there again it was a clean, quiet, and friendly staff.
- Keith (10/5): - Great place. I will be back.
- Lyn (2/5): - We were very disappointed in the stay. The room was not that clean, television did not work. we do not mind older but thus was not what we had in mind when we got there.
- Adan (10/5): - Clean rooms nice and quiet area
- Carrie (4/5): - The air conditioner didn't work in our room. There was a musty smell
- Edward (6/5): - I liked that it had a swimming pool and spa options but the bed was worn out and you could feel the mattress spring pushing against your body and the curtains and walls were stained
- Sara (8/5): - Love that it's very quiet, but close to other attractions.
- Terry (8/5): - No warm water..had to take cold showers. Decking on second floor had very soft spots that felt like you were going to go fall through it. And housekeeping staff unlocks and opens the door as they are announcing themselves....even when your naked...not giving you anytime to prepare...and then closes the door and reopens to say sorry as they get another free look at you naked.
- Marilyn (4/5): - Very outdated, door frames are rotting. Bed and bedding very old.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Vacation - Was a great stay like usual, I just wish the rooms were cleaned a little bit more upon our arrival. A lot of spiders.
- Randy (8/5): - Although the rooms were quite dated , it was a very convenient location off the main roads and to the park we visited
- Krista (4/5): - Very simple a run down very dated property. Would not recall. I would be concerned with children.
- Jesse (10/5): Love this place! - We have stayed here multiple times in the cabins and they are always clean. Staff are always friendly, pool is nice and clean and is typically open until midnight which is nice. Very family friendly enviroment for little kids but seems so quiet if you are looking to stay somewhere quiet as well compared to other lodging. I will always return.
- Shannon (4/5): - We liked:
outside of property is cute lots of plants and ornaments
Super close to downtown dells
Big community feeling with lots of people out walking around using the pool, lots of smiling faces
A/c worked ridiculously well
Big red jacuzzi tub was nice, clean and worked perfectly
Housekeeping kept the towels stocked (keep in mind there are a bit small I would recommend bringing one of your own)
Things we disliked:
The room had a strong mildew smell(it is an old hotel)
There was a large bay window but the room couldve used more lighting (two table lamps, only one worked)
The toilet bowl wasn't completely clean (outside of bowl and down the front)
When we showed up after a long drive and tried to take a shower there was no hot water :( we tried to call but no one answered so we walked over to the office and the man there said it was probably the boiler and went and fixed it(we ended up rinsing off in cold water and going out for the night because it was already 6pm, we had hot water when we got back to hotel later that night)
Limited parking(we had to make a parking spot cause there weren't anymore)
Our stay was $356 for 2 nights, overall my bf and I both agreed we weren't upset about our stay and that it wasn't too bad but next time we visit we'll probably try somewhere else. Do with that what you will!
- Karla (10/5): wisconsin hotel - relaxed type of hotel. not very high class. if you dont require much attention this is the place to stay. everything worked. no complaints at all. yes of course we enjoyed our time here
- Diane (4/5): Out dated place needs major overhaul - Place wasn't anything like the pictures. Cabin was very small, terrible musty smell, window dirty and full of bugs, wall by bathroom sink had someone's toothpaste on the wall, air conditioner very old and so high we couldn't adjust it. Deck had loose boards, cheep plastic table and chairs that were very dirty. There wasn't a place to park other than the grass. Garbage can by door was bad. Very small cheep towels. Bugs on wall we had to kill. Everything very dated. Only new thing was the tub but shower head full of lime. Landscape all overgrown. Lady at front desk not very friendly. Don't recommend this place and will never stay here again.
- Greg (10/5): - Nice clean pool, very nice staff comfy bed would stay there again
- Verified traveler (4/5): - We stayed in one of there cabins, the pictures sure look better then what we got. The cabin inside was old, the bed was terrible should be thrown out along with the sheets that were very thin with small holes in them! The towels were thin and very small, which should be used for a scrub rag! I was very disappointed! At least they had coffee in the morning near the office. The small frig and micro worked good. I think the hotel they had might be better.
- Kim (6/5): - The property was clean, and the
furnishings were dated. We asked for a clean sheet to replace one on the bed, and the staff was super nice and helpful. LOVED the pool!
- Charles (6/5): - You get what you pay for. For $55, we weren't expecting much. But it was a decent place. Cheap towels, bugs, and that nasty cigar smell. We didn't care because we spent all day out around town. The A/C worked great so it was easy to sleep. Let's just say it was a nice place to sleep, but not somewhere you want to hang out.
- Stephanie (6/5): - Room needs more cleaning
- Laura (10/5): - We are so happy we booked here. Our cabin was very clean it's quite. The pool is wonderful. Any staff we've asked of anything (something for the room wifi etc) has been so pleasant we used the one of the grills tonight and it was excellent. Gazebo in back. Plenty of lounge chairs in front and around the pool. Very close to the down town "strip" area with all the shopping and restaurants. The IGA is only a few blocks from here as well. We don't live very far from here but just wanted to get away and we will definitely be back. I would highly recommend this place
- Crystal (10/5): - Reasonable price for hotel
- Carlos (8/5): - Property was nice for the weekend
- Ryan (4/5): - Im sure this WAS a nice place 15 or 20 years ago
But it is run down, im sure it was clean but it doesn't look or feel like it due to its age and lack of upkeep. THEY HAVE A LOT OF BALLS CHARGING 160 A NIGHT
- Willo (4/5): - The office was pleasant and I was allowed to check in early. That is the only plus. However for $145, this room was a dump. Dirty, stinky, dusty, and buggy. Dead bug on the wall. Stained walls. Dusty table, lamps, fake flowers, etc. Musty carpet. Stained dirty chairs. We cant wait to check out and definitely will not be back. Not recommended!
- Jean (6/5): - Air conditioner and frig very loud......had to unplug frig!
Did not see light on smoke detector.
Felt unsafe......door only had push button lock.
Questionable use of electrical outlet, string of cords from one.
they provide an affordable place to stay
- angela (10/5): - Good value if you are just looking for a place to sleep- if you drive anything larger than a small suv the parking spots for the rooms are very short.
- Amber (8/5): 7/10 - Would Stay Again - The rooms were very clean, but is definitely a dated building. For the little time we actually spent at our room it was comfortable. The shower had very good water pressure and an abundance of hot water.
- Timothy (6/5): - You get what you pay for. Very inexpensive but very outdated. Not enough parking places for all the guests.
- Bowman (10/5): - The air conditioning stopped in our room and they were able to move us to a better room with working air conditioning
- jamie (10/5): - Very nice and homey, not jammed like the big places and great people operating this Motel, been back there twice now!
- David (8/5): Quirky But a Good Value - Interesting and quirky motel. Lots and lots of flower pictures and flower arrangements in our rooms! It was very quiet and clean. It is about three or four blocks off the main street so it was very little traffic. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. The rooms were large and a little dated but were a good place to sleep. We get the absolute most out of our day so we are not looking for a whole lot out of our hotel other than it is clean, cool, and quiet.
- ROBERT (4/5): - Dirty, ancient AC that barely works, room had an odor to it.
- Michael (10/5): - Liked it all. Pool. Room.
- Joshua (2/5): Apologies make or break you - It started out great. Very easy check in. Friendly front desk lady. It ended badly though. The refrigerator and freezer did not work even though it was set properly and ran all day and night. The breastmilk for my son went bad and we had to cancel the rest of our trip to head back home. Besides that frustration, when I went to speak with the same front desk lady in the morning, (due to not being able to get a hold of them at night), instead of apologizing she tried placing blame. She said maybe I didn’t set up the refrigerator correctly and maybe it wasn’t plugged in. She never apologized once for the inconvenience that was caused, which was the second most frustrating thing. That is actually the reason I’m giving this review as well. Accidents happen, when, instead of apologizing, she tried placing blame, that’s what pissed me off. I actually had a whole week in July reserved at this hotel as well, but I just canceled because of the disrespect given.
- Jeff (8/5): Great Quiet cottages. - Monica is always looking out for her clients and if we had a problem, she would see that it was addressed..We've stayed here numerous times great rates, mostly very quiet area, Enjoyed our stay..Thanks.
- CHRISTINE (4/5): - We were extremely dissapointed that the pool was not working and was told it was when the trip was booked. So we had to leave the prpperty to go enjoy ourselves, which was unexpected. Parking and other fees added to our trip that we did not expect.
- Jeanne (6/5): - The room was clean, except the middle of the carpet was wet and sticky. I couldn’t get the air conditioner to turn on.
- Gricelda (4/5): - a lot of noise with the tenants in the back room, loud music until 2:30 am, they didn't let me sleep
- Krystal (6/5): - The deck we had to walk on to get into our cabin had warped and loose boards. It felt like it was going to collapse under our feet. The shower has very limited water pressure. We saw a few love centipedes along with smashed and dead bugs on the walls. The staff seemed annoyed while she was checking me in, the only time I saw a smile was when I left my room key on the desk to leave.
- Rebecca (2/5): - Once checking in they decided to add another charge for paying with a card on top of the charge through the site.
- Sandra (10/5): - I would stay there again. Theyvwere full but nice and quiet. Very friendly.
- lisa (8/5): Ok for the money - This is a cheap hotel and you get what you pay for. It’s clean and adequate. Bring your own pillows, theirs were terrible! The towels were tiny and the water pressure was poor. But if you’re only going to sleep there, it’s fine.
- Allan (10/5): - Nice, quiet, friendly staff.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Motel -6 - We have a service dog, when we checked in we provided her with the paperwork as requested. She actually told me that our yorkie couldn’t even pee on her grounds and demanded we took the dog off the property to even pee. The place wasn’t a cabin , it was a house broken into tiny run down units with paper thin walls. The only other people staying there were next to us and up all night. It was a complete motel 6 wannabe
- Anna (10/5): - A cute place to stay, I enjoyed it and hope to be back!
- David (8/5): - nice layout, pool looked inviting, staff was very polite and personable
- Leea (10/5): - Nice and quiet, close to my event.
- David (10/5): - Very nice stay. Quiet accomodations close to town.
- Andrew (10/5): - 3 generation family run out of the way home style lodging, nice break from the tourist areas, very friendly quiet verdant affordable place to rest after busy day of activities.
- Trent (10/5): Loved it - very clean and pleasant stay. very friendly service. It was a very romantic heart-shaped spa in room very nice and soft bed. It was a lovely stay.
- Lewis (8/5): Nice - It was a nice place. It was pretty clean no complaints here.
- Linda (6/5): You get what you pay for - You get what you pay for! Linens & towels could stand some improvement. The shower was very slippery. So slippery I slipped and fell out of the shower. Beware!
- Elaine (10/5): - We came midweek and had the place mostly to ourselves. It was quiet, room was clean and owner was welcoming and friendly.
- Ekaterina (10/5): - Great little cabin with a cute deck. Very affordable 👌
- Carrie (8/5): - Close to nearby attractions, needs some updating and maintenance
- Andrea (6/5): Flower funky - This hotel had a lot of fresh plants and flowers outside. Crumbling concrete statues sat everywhere. The pool was clean. But Inside the room it was dark and had old carpet, lamps, mattresses and furniture. Fake flowers everywhere, even on the pictures on the walls. The ac did not work and water pressure was low. For the price of $150 this entire property needs to be updated to the 21st century.
- Ashley (10/5): - The place was set up nice. The room was very spacious and area was quiet.
- Misty B (10/5): - Great place to stay
- andrzej (8/5): - Very nice place
- Heaven (10/5): - This was my second time staying here as it was just as great, if not better, than my first time! All the staff were super sweet and made sure we had everything we needed! Thank you guys again for making my trip even better!
- Bronwyn (2/5): - Our expectations were low taking into consideration the 2 star rating, but nothing could've preared us for the rudeness we faced. A horrible oder in the room was making us sick, this was ignored as the proprietor clamed "she didn't smell anything." Regardless of how she felt, being in the hospitality industry it is your job to make sure your guests are comfortable. I do not understand why you would be in this business if you are not willing to listen to your coustomers, and treat them with kindness. I would pay double the price to not be treated like crap. In addition the cancelation policy makes zero sense. We were planning on cutting our trip short by one night, but we were unable to receive a refund for the night we were not planning on staying for. It was stated we needed to give 48 hours notice, even though that would have been impossible. I have never seen a "policy" like this before, and I have stated in many places in many different countries globally. It is worth paying extra to stay in a place that understands respect and the hospitality industry.
